Scylla was up early in the morning transforming the vehicle they took to keep from getting in trouble. She was about finished when she heard arguing inside.

"What were you thinking?" Abigail scolded Raelle. "Not only could you have been arrested if anyone recognized you but of all things, you went to a Camarilla wedding!"

"No one recognized me," Raelle said.

"That's what you think," Abigail countered, pacing between her and Tally. "But seriously, when it comes to necro, you never think."

"Abs," Tally said, trying to get her attention. "Maybe we should talk about this later." She saw Scylla come in from the garage.

Abigail turned and saw Scylla but didn't care because she knew Scylla was to blame for Raelle being reckless. "I blame you for this." She was further infuriated because Scylla smiled like she usually does.

"I decided to go; she had nothing to do with it," Raelle intervened.

"All she had to do was be there," Abigail pointed out. "You'd follow her to the other side of the world."

"She's risking her life to get the intel your mom needs," Raelle reminded her.

"Abigail, before you say anything, please take a breath," Tally entreated. "This can't be fixed by cupcakes."

Scylla got the hint and pulled Raelle out of the room to calm her down. "She's right; you shouldn't expose yourself to the Camarilla. They know you're powerful and will try to get their hands on you."

"So, you're on her side now?" Raelle asked angrily.

"I'm on your side always," Scylla corrected her. "But Abigail is right; you can be impulsive." She smiled to negate Raelle's frown.

"Phone call for you Scylla," Jin informed her, handing her the handset.

"Is that Ben?" Raelle asked, deepening her frown.

"It's Anacostia," Scylla said, speaking with her for quite a bit while Raelle hovered around her.

"Have you seen Abigail?" Adil asked Raelle.

"She's with Tally," Raelle replied, tilting her head to the direction. "You might want to avoid her for a while."

Adil intuitively understood. "She cares very much about you."

Raelle found his statement quite calming and wondered if he worked on her.

"Feeling better?" Scylla asked, watching her body language soften after speaking with Adil.

.

Raelle was soaking wet thanks to Abigail but she didn't let that bother her. She focused on her work because she wanted to prove Abigail wrong. She was still worried about Scylla visiting the Camarilla facility but was relieved when they compromised and asked Jin to tag along.

"Still worried about her?" Quinn asked, sitting next to Raelle as she tried to dry herself in the sun.

"Always," Raelle confirmed. "I just wished she wasn't the best at what she does."

"Wouldn't you want your best agent in such a difficult mission?" Quinn asked.

"I suppose," Raelle agreed, seeing the practicality of it. "At least she's got Jin to look out for her on top of being Tally's chaperone."

"Then it's a good thing there hasn't been a lot of outings to require his work," Quinn noted.

Raelle chuckled. "Wait until Tally figures out how to tell Abigail about the movie she wants to go see." She remembered how excited Tally was seeing it on their way home on their last night out. "If it were up to Abigail, all we'd ever do is hide and train."

"What about you?" Quinn asked. "What do you want to do?"

"I just want to be with Scylla," Raelle admitted, unconsciously tracing the mark on her palm. "She fascinates me."

"She's an interesting one," Quinn agreed. "Hard to read but I see good in her."

Raelle was pleased with her assessment. "I'm glad you do; Abigail only sees her as Spree ready to take me away from the Army or lead me to death with the Camarilla."

"She can't do that," Quinn said. "She is bound to you."

"What do you mean?" Raelle asked.

"The binding work she did prevent her from ever harming you," Quinn said, looking at the mark on Raelle's palm.

.

Scylla returned home quite drained from seeing all the pain and harm the research facility was inflicting on innocent young witches. She had to refrain from doing anything to save them while Ben relished showing her what the Camarilla had been achieving there. She was so looking forward to seeing Raelle's smile to make it all better but found only an empty room. She wondered if Abigail had insisted on more training until she heard a knock on the door.

"This is for you," Ash said, handing her a note with a smile. "You better hurry."

Scylla quickly read the note and rushed out to the backyard where Raelle was waiting for her.

"Hi beautiful," Raelle greeted her, holding out a red flower for her.

"You're a sight for sore eyes," Scylla said, taking it all in. She didn't know how Raelle managed but it was a beautiful night for a romantic dinner.

"I don't know how your friends got wind of it though," Raelle said, looking at the birds that were sitting on the fence. "Unless you asked them to keep an eye on me."

Scylla knew she had been found out. She moved closer and hugged Raelle before dismissing them for privacy.

"Dinner or dance?" Raelle asked in her ear, letting her decide which to do first but the choice was obvious as they began to sway to the soft music playing.

Scylla could feel the heaviness float away as they danced.

"Scyl, teach me how to perform binding work," Raelle whispered. She was taken aback by the whispered response. "What do you mean no?"

"You're the most powerful witch ever," Scylla reminded her. "You can't be bound to anyone."

"Why not?" Raelle asked, getting visibly upset that it wasn't turning the way she had planned. "We love each other and I want to bind with you like you are to me."

"You can't die should anything happen to me," Scylla explained, seeing Raelle finally understand what she did.

"Then take it off now," Raelle demanded, extending her hand palm up.

Scylla complied and watched Raelle storm off without another word. She decided it was for the best.

.

Raelle stormed into Abigail and Tally's room without knocking.

"Hey, we want our privacy, too," Abigail declared before noticing how upset Raelle was.

"What's wrong?" Tally asked, knowing instinctively it had to do with Scylla.

"Can I sleep here with you guys tonight?" Raelle requested without getting into details.

"Sure," Tally agreed, signaling for Abigail to do as well. She watched as Abigail glared out the window at Scylla.

"Of course," Abigail said, channeling her anger at the person who caused Raelle to be in such a state.

By morning, Raelle had calmed down enough but not eager to see Scylla yet so she left for training without looking for her. She instead focused her energy on her work that proved to the three witches with her just how powerful she had become.

"Nice work," Tally complimented Raelle while she took a break. "Are you alright?"

"I may have just broken up with Scylla again," Raelle admitted sadly. "Why wouldn't she let me bind with her?"

"Because she doesn't want you to die with her," Tally said, learning more about binding from Quinn that morning.

"That's what she said," Raelle confirmed. "Then why did she do it?"

"That's how much she loves you," Tally said, understanding the motive behind Scylla's choice finally. "She didn't know if the Spree would harm you if you refused to join or if the Army would if you deserted."

"So, she'd rather die than live without me," Raelle concluded, realizing just how badly she had reacted. "Will you help me convince Abigail to end training early? I'd like to give Scylla an apology dinner."

"Sure; I still want to go see that movie with Jin tonight," Tally revealed. "You two can come if you like. Maybe we can even get Adil to come so Abigail would."

.

Scylla spent most of the day collecting documents from Ben's office. He had bragged that everything was there so she found it easier to focus on getting details there than seeing the research in progress around the complex.

"What are you doing?" Ben asked when he walked in on her in his office.

"I thought I'd come surprise you," she fibbed, pushing the binder filled with documents out of sight. "I think we were interrupted during the wedding."

"Your cousin Jack is pretty protective of you," he noted.

"Yes, he is," she admitted. "That's because we only have each other now."

"What happened?"

"Witches killed my parents," she revealed truthfully. She allowed Ben to give her a hug when he moved towards her.

"Which is why this organization is working towards eradicating the world of them," he said. "My boss will see to it."

"Where is he?" she asked, noticing that he had been absent since the wedding.

"He's with the vice president making plans for the next step," he explained. "I look forward to the day when there are no more witches."

Scylla forced a smile when he looked at her. She wished she could push him but decided against it lest it blew her cover. She was grateful when an alarm went off somewhere in the facility and he had to check on it.

"I'll be right back," he said. "Then maybe you and I can go back to my place."

Scylla quickly gathered the things she had hidden and headed out to her car. She was quite surprised when Ben stopped her in her tracks.

"Where are you going?" he asked with a disappointed look.

"I just got a call from Jack; he locked himself out again," she said nervously.

Ben stepped away from her to let her into her car but then recognized the binder and got suspicious. "What are you doing with this?"

Scylla pushed him back and jumped into the car but not before he managed to jab her in the back with a syringe. She sped out of the facility hoping she could get away alive.

.

Raelle watched as Tally got ready for the movies. She was even glad that Abigail had agreed to go which meant she had the house all to herself when Scylla returned.

"Ready?" Jin asked, getting ready to transform Tally for the outing.

Ash was already working on Abigail while Adil stood next to her. With the transformations complete, the group was ready to go.

Raelle checked in her room for Scylla but when she didn't find her, asked Jin where she was.

"She was still at the facility last I saw her," Jin replied. "She said she had some paperwork to do."

"Wait, you didn't come back together?" Raelle asked, sensing trouble but hoping against it. "How did you get back here?"

"I took the bus," he replied. "She'll be fine; she has Ben wrapped around her little finger."

"Maybe we should wait for her," Abigail suggested, deciding that way they could keep Raelle from leaving the house to look for her.

Hours passed with no sign of Scylla which made Raelle more anxious by the minute. She started to pace while her companions sat watching. "She's in trouble."

"Or she may just be thorough," Abigail said.

"You shouldn't have left her there alone," Raelle said angrily at Jin. "You were supposed to watch her back." Her voice was changing and that worried Tally.

"Calm down," Tally suggested. "Jin didn't know this would happen."

Raelle wished either Nicte or Quinn were there to guide them but they had both gone to a clandestine meeting somewhere in the city. So, it was up to them to figure out what to do for Scylla. "Let's go to the facility and check it out."

But before a decision could be made, they heard a crash in the garage. Raelle was the first out to check on it. She found a car still running slammed against the wall.

"Hi beautiful," Scylla greeted Raelle when the driver side door opened. Her vision went dark after that.

.

"Scyl, stay with me," Raelle yelled, checking her for any visible wound. She could tell that something was wrong by the brunette's shallow breathing but couldn't find anything.

"You should check if she's been followed," Abigail instructed Jin and Ash to do. "Tal, I'll need your help with the car." She knew they had to investigate to piece together what happened.

Raelle began to recite verses to try and heal Scylla but each time she thought she had it, Scylla would slip back into near death.

"We found this," Tally said, showing Raelle the empty syringe. "She must've been poisoned."

"It's not poison," Raelle replied. "Something is trying to stop her heart."

"What can we do?" Abigail offered. She knew Raelle could heal her but needed to calm down.

Raelle tried again to link with Scylla and this time got through only to succumb to it herself and lose consciousness. Her heart stopped momentarily before the mycelium took over and expelled the worm that was killing her. The worm landed on the floor and Abigail quickly took a trashcan to contain it.

"Whoa, that's new," Tally said, watching as spores moved from Raelle to Scylla.

"Raelle," Abigail called out to her. "Wake up." They had moved the pair inside the house by then.

Raelle eventually focused on the face hovering over her and pushed it away. "Leave me alone Abs."

"She's alright," Abigail said, watching as Raelle struggle to sit up.

"Scylla?" Raelle asked before looking beside her.

"She's breathing better," Tally informed her. "But she's still very weak."

Raelle started to recite another prayer but Abigail stopped her. "She probably just needs to rest; this thing was in her longer than in you." She turned the bottle that contained the worm to study it.

"Any idea what that is?" Raelle asked, laying back to rest next to Scylla.

"No idea," Abigail said. "I'll call my mom and report this at once."

.

Raelle woke up and found Scylla still fast asleep. She dared not wake her but wished Scylla would so she could see those blue eyes and bright smile to let her know things were going to be ok.

"Good morning," Quinn greeted her, bringing a breakfast tray. "I heard you had a rough night."

Raelle wondered how she got into the room then remembered the door was left open just in case either of them turned for the worse.

"Why would she risk her life like that?" Raelle asked rhetorically.

Quinn made a quick assessment of Scylla's health and established that she was on the mend. "She's a fighter; she'll get through this."

"Do you think it would've helped if she was still bound to me?" Raelle wondered.

Quinn gave her a quizzical look. She saw Raelle's clear palm and understood. "She may have added that tiny detail but binding work can't be undone."

Raelle obviously didn't know that and wondered if that was why Scylla wasn't recovering. "Could this be because I almost died then?"

"You, almost died?" Quinn asked for confirmation. She was suddenly curious about their bond. "Have you almost died before?"

Raelle nodded her confirmation then thought of another possibility. "Could she have done it wrong?"

"Scylla is good with her work," Quinn noted based on what she's seen so far. "I don't think she got it wrong. I think you just happen to be a unique kind of witch."

Raelle regretted doubting Scylla's skills and just glad that nothing that she's been through had affected Scylla.

"Eat, you need your strength back," Quinn encouraged her. "I'll come back to check on you two in a while."

Raelle was indeed famished and ate everything on the tray. She unconsciously traced the non-existent mark on her palm and wished she had been less impulsive.

.

"Scylla's going to make it," Tally said, trying to comfort Raelle when she and Abigail came around to check on them. She gave Abigail a look encouraging her to do the same.

"Yeah, if she survived Army torture," Abigail began.

"Abs!" Tally cut her off.

"It's alright Tal," Raelle said, trying her best to remain calm. "What did she manage to get from the Camarilla?"

"A lot," Abigail revealed, opening one of the folders. "This is a list of their members with names, addresses and everything. And get this, in order to become a member, they intentionally give the person witch plague."

"By stabbing them in the back?" Raelle asked, still trying to make sense of the visions she had about the incident.

"Who stabbed her?" Tally asked, feeling a strong urge to avenge the attack.

"Ben," Raelle revealed.

"But I thought he was smitten with her," Tally noted.

"Tal, he's Camarilla," Abigail reminded her, noticing Raelle stretch her back. "Maybe you should go outside for a bit."

"I'm not leaving her alone," Raelle opposed.

"She's not going to be alone; I'll stay with her," Abigail offered. "I'll call you as soon as she wakes up."

Raelle grudgingly agreed to stretch her legs outside with Tally. They saw Nicte on their way out.

"Thanks for saving her," Nicte said gratefully. "We couldn't have done that without you."

Raelle nodded an acknowledgement but said nothing.

"Where is everyone?" Tally asked, noticing that most of the residents except for them were gone.

"Getting ready for the all-out attack," Nicte said. "The Army will attack the facilities while the Spree will attack from within and places they can't."

"How?" Tally asked.

"By transforming into Camarilla members," Nicte revealed. "Stay here, Quinn and I have one more thing to do to prepare."

"We're not going anywhere," Raelle promised.

"Just in case, you know where to go," Nicte said, handing Tally the keys to the truck.
