Chapter 98
Stevie's phone was ringing. It was Jaz.
"Hey I've only got a few minutes, but I wanted to see how your date went." said Jaz.
"Thanks Jaz. I think you were right, I needed to stop dating the same type of men. James is really different, and it was really good. We got dessert. I'm glad I went out with him. He seems like he is a really good man, and father," said Stevie.
"I'm really glad Stevie. So can I get the dish? Are you going to see him again?" asked Jaz.
"Well, James lives very far away, so logistically speaking, it'll be hard to plan a second date, but he asked if he could call me, so I think we may try just to talk on the phone some before we do anything else. I do hope he calls. I liked talking with him, we talked a lot about family and I like how much he values his family," admitted Stevie.
"Aw, Stevie, he sounds like a good guy. I'm glad you like him. I can see how the distance makes it tougher. How did it end? Did you kiss him?"
"We had a very nice hug at the end of the date, and a very brief kiss." said Stevie
"On the lips?" asked Jaz.
"Yes." confirmed Stevie.
"Oh he'll call you. He'll definitely call you." said Jaz.
"I'm glad you're so sure."
"I guess I just have a feeling. Oh, I'm getting another call. I've gotta go. I'm glad the date went well!"
Jaz hung up with Stevie and switched to the other line.
"Hey! We just passed the Gungellan Pub!" said Regan into the phone.
"Regan! Awesome! I can't wait to see you!
"And I can't wait to see you, and Kelly, and THE RING!" Regan squealed.
"Yes, we're all here excited for your visit. I have your room all ready for you and Dylan. I'm so glad you're coming. I just wish Grace and Gavin were able to make it too." said Jaz "I love when all of us are together. I miss her."
"I'll see you soon! Bye!" said Regan as she hung up the phone.
She turned to Grace, who was sitting in the backseat of the car.
"So, Jaz has absolutely no idea you're coming, She definitely thinks it's going to be just Dylan and I. She sounded really sad you couldn't make it."
"Perfect. We just gotta keep me hidden for a couple days." said Grace.
"It's all worked out, you're staying at Killarney, we're staying at Wilgul. You can catch up with Stevie and hang out there until Ben's plan is all ready,"explained Regan.
"Okay and once the surprise is done, I can just go stay at Wilgul with the rest of you, right?" said Grace.
"Exactly, with your sisters, where you belong," said Regan.
"I hate being so close and not getting to see my sister and niece. I have to hide the rest of today, and all day tomorrow. This is going to be tough." said Grace
"It's going to be worth it for Jaz." said Regan
"I know. It's going to be a great surprise."
