At least this present has some practical applications. Six geese a-laying can provide us with enough eggs to (slightly) reduce our spending on food - or at least when they lay when sitting on the floor. There's not much that can be done with the eggs laid while they're flying around. Even less can be done with the eggs that crack when dropped onto the furniture, house-elf, us and the other birds.
This time, the Magizoologist was called due to some of the cracked eggs getting into the turtle doves' eyes. The bill was 3 Galleons due to the second turtle dove deciding to dig its claws into the man's arm. After a quick Healing Spell, he was fine, but his annoyance may have led to the higher-than-normal bill. We are not amused with the smell, feathers and droppings all the infernal birds are leaving around the Manor. It has to stop!
