What made you think it would be a good idea to send nine ladies to us? In a parcel? Delivered by owl? Once they got over their (shrilly announced) annoyance, they spotted Father. They then started dancing in a manner I once heard a muggleborn talking to his friend about a woman he had spent the night with (I think he called the woman a bore, though, in my opinion, the poor thing was probably bored of him). Mother looked like a Veela about to transform, and she chewed the ear off the ladies, backed up by her new friends from yesterday.
Richard Healed the scratches off of everyone after the catfight was finished. Father and I had (wisely) beat a retreat from the room while the fight was ongoing, returning when it was safe to do so. He also had to Heal a few of the swans that had gotten involved in the fight. Richard's bill was 7 Galleons, and Father has started smoking parchment. He says it helps his nerves, but they must be completely gone if he's sunk that low.
