Chapter 119

Meg was cooking up a storm at Drovers Run. She was thrilled for Jaz and Ben, but she knew this was how she could be the most helpful.

"Terry, how are things going out there?"

"I'm doing the best I can, but there is an awful lot of work." Terry was overwhelmed looking at what still needed to be done.

"Hey guys, I thought you might be able to use a couple hands, I know Ben had most of the gang wrapped up this morning with his special second proposal/engagement party picnic, so I thought Blake and I might be of assistance. We're here to work." Bobby said as he and Blake walked into the Drovers Run back garden.

"Bobby! You're a very welcome sight! You too Blake. We can definitely use manpower."

Finn had to stop at a gas station again. He filled up the tank and looked around. He spotted a florist across the street. He left the truck and ran across the street. He picked out two bouquets. One bouquet of beautiful, deep red, long stemmed roses and the second bouquet was mixed with bright and happy pink, yellow, and green roses.

He put them both in a jar of water in the passenger seat and prayed they wouldn't spill all over. He checked his watch, got back in the truck, and hit the road again.

As the picnic winded down, Tess was thinking about the conversation she had with Grace the day before.

"Grace, can I talk to you for a minute?" asked Tess

"Sure, whats up."

"Yesterday, I told you I was a cynic and I didn't think finding love again was worth it, and that being lonely was better than being heartbroken. I lied. I was in denial of my own situation. The truth is, love is worth the risk of heartbreak. I've recently fallen in love again. It happened very quickly and intensely, and I tried really hard to fight it, but it happened anyway. It's been kind of a whirlwind and my head is still spinning around and my stomach is in knots, but I love him. I love him," Tess repeated the words, getting more comfortable with the feeling. "I just admitted it to myself last night, and I haven't said that word to him yet, but I will, the next time I see him, I'm going to tell him I'm head over heels in love with him. Closing yourself off to love might help you to survive, but you won't thrive. Embracing love from your family and wherever else you may find it is the way to thrive. You will be okay. It will hurt for a while, but you will make it through. I managed to, and I will help you through it too," said Tess.

"I"m really glad to hear that Tess. You deserve love. I don't want you to be lonely. I'm glad you found a bloke. When do I get to meet this guy and does he have a single brother?" asked Grace.

"He's in Adelaide right now, but hopefully very soon, and he doesn't have a brother, only a sister, sorry." said Tess.

"It makes me really happy to know you found love again Tess. Thanks for the advice." said Grace.
