As they drove, she thought about her words. She really did feel like they just needed a few days apart. Part of her was still wondering what Street was going to say back in Hick's office. She kind of wanted to know, but at the same time, she also didn't, as she feared he might just own up to those things Molly was getting at.

Back in the SWAT HQ parking lot, Street still sat on his bike. He drummed on his helmet as he put the key in the ignition. His head was a mess with the events that had unfolded. He was hurting, angry, scared, sad and a whole gamut of emotions he couldn't even name. The way she had fled from Hick's office, once they were alone, the way she brushed him off with a, "I'll see you tomorrow," and the nail in his coffin tonight, the way he saw her kissing the handsome Jared in her truck just then. He felt like his heart was on the pavement in front of him and had been squished by that Gurkha that just rolled out. He swallowed hard and went to start the bike when his phone ringing snapped him out of it.

"Hey man," Tans voice made him smile a little.

"Hey, what's going on buddy?" Street asked.

"Um, I need a drinking partner. You keen?" It made Street chuckle. He wasn't really in the mood for the bar scene tonight, but with Tan's pleading how could he refuse?

"Sure? Where?"

"Denny's of course. See you there."

Street started his bike and road down to the beachside bar that they often frequented after a shift. He figured the distraction from the hell of this afternoon would be the best cure.

As Tan fetched them some drinks, Street sat at the table near the window and stared out. His thoughts were wandering again. The hurt in Molly's voice, the icy accusations she had thrown his way. Then there was the way Chris avoided his eyes, how she just left so quickly, like she couldn't wait to get away. As well as seeing her with Jared as he left HQ, in each other's arms. God, it hurt. He wondered how something he was so sure of could end up feeling like this.

"Okay," Tan said sliding back into his seat before looking at his distracted friend. "Hey, Command to 26 David?" He said in a monotone robot voice, eyes wide staring at his friend.

"What? Oh, shut up." Street chuckled. "It's been a rough day, okay, leave me alone." He said reaching for his drink.

"Rough day?" Tan chuckled, "How exactly? You were light duties man?" Tan fired back. Street nodded a bit as he took a sip of his beer.

"Yeah, I know. I know you guys had a rough one. But just, lots going on." He placed his beer back down and stared at it.

"Okay, start talking," Tan said eyeing his friend as Street let out a sigh. He didn't want to tell Tan all of it, but he felt like he needed a friend right now.

"I, I don't even know what I can say. I just, I am exhausted from all the drama. I didn't think my life would be like this right now. It was all going so well for a while there and then..."

"Molly?" Tan asked, interrupting as he took a sip of his beer,

"Yes, and no. I mean yes." Street raised his eyebrows with a head tilt as he took another sip, "Her being at HQ today, all icy and hostile and clearly holding onto some hate towards me and the breakup."

"But?" Tan prompted.

"It's other stuff too man, you know just, I am just really feeling the weight of it all right now." Tan could see the pressure that Street was putting on himself. He wanted to keep prodding him to open up and let it out. He knew if Street bottled all of whatever this was up, that it would end badly. So, he continued,

"Like what? What's the main issue?" Tan asked still watching him.

Street danced his fingers over the rim of his beer. "Well, it's the Molly stuff, but also the fact that I've pissed Chris off, she hates me right now too,"

"Why? What did you do?" Tan replied, studying his friend closely as Streets eyes wandered everywhere like his scattered thoughts. Street looked back out the window. He knew he needed to be careful about what he told Tan, so he considered his words for a moment.

"You remember when she seemed all down and pissed at us over the TLI's?"

"Uh huh?" Tan nodded sipping his beer.

"Well, I went to see her one night at Sasso's, to say I'd pull out if she was so upset and, well, we kind of just got into a massive emotional fight. Then…." As Tan looked like he was about to ask another question, Street held up his finger telling him to listen, "then later on, once she had cooled off, she texted me and said she wanted to talk. So, another day after shift I went by and she was great, she told me about how she was focusing on getting herself back on track after Kira and Ty and stuff. That she was on her own journey to find happy again. And, well, the stuff she spoke about and how it sounded made me reconsider my life and how it was going, and it was that chat that prompted my happy search, which, yes, ultimately ended with Molly and I breaking up."

"Ohhhhh! Wow, dude no wonder she is pissed." Tan shook his head and looked back at Street.

"What? I was just trying to be happy like her." He shrugged.

"Yeah, but Street, man. Can't you see she now blames herself for you and Molly?"

"But why?" The confusion over this was still evident on Street's face.

"Dude, you are so clueless about women." Tan laughed, Street rolled his eyes and smirked looking away.

"Some help you are." Street shook his head. But even just getting that little of his chest to his friend felt cathartic.

"What? It's true." Tan laughed.

"Okay new topic. Why are you out drinking and not home with your fiancé?"

"Well, I didn't want to be home alone," he started to explain.

"Oh, is Bonnie working?" Street asked interrupting.

"No, she is um..."

"Oh, girls' night out." Street nodded, as he took a sip.

"Mmmm, no, she um," Tan said sipping his drink, taking a pause.

"Hey babe," suddenly Streets eyes shot up to see Bonnie in a casual pink dress, rounding the booth and sliding in next to Tan.

"Right here," laughed Tan looking at Street, then kissing Bonnie's cheek.

"Hey beautiful, how are you?" He asked.

"I'm good," She answered smiling at him. "Hey Jim, how are you?" She added turning her attention to Street.

"I'm great Bonnie," he smiled, "Surprised you are joining us. Pleasantly surprised." He finished shooting her his charming dimple filled smile.

"Well, I hope I'm not interrupting anything, I …"

"No no, Street was just telling me about his romantic dramas." Tan said in a teasing tone.

This made Bonnies eyes light up. "Oh yeah? Can I hear this?" She smiled like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Uh," Street chuckled, "it's not that fabulous trust me."

"No, No, babe, he had a rough day, so not fun stuff."

"Oh," Bonnie pouted at him. "I'm sorry, need a shoulder to cry on? Or a hug?" She offered extending her arms.

"I might soon enough," He chuckled taking a sip of his beer. Street briefly found himself thinking of excuses to leave. He didn't want to sit here with Tan and Bonnie all loved up and have them question him relentlessly. He was still in his own thoughts when Tan clearing his throat made him look up.

"We, um, well, Bonnie is here, because we..." Tan started, pausing, and glancing at Bonnie,

"Because we want you to be one of the first to know." Bonnie smiled at him then at Street. She glanced back to her fiancé and nodded for him to tell Street.

"Well," he hesitated slightly feeling nervous. "We are pregnant." He beamed, squeezing Bonnie's hand. Knowing Street could use a little good news right now.

"Oh my god." Street's eyes went as wide as overcoat buttons as he processed that news. "What? Really? Like, for real?" Street laughed, shaking his head, and standing up to hug them both.

"Man, why didn't you say anything?" He said squeezing Tan.

"Because well, you needed a friend and I wanted Bonnie to be here when I told you."

Soon after the laughs subsided, Bonnie left. She needed to drop by her sisters before it got too late. It was then Tan looked at his friend.

"You okay? I mean, I'm sorry for that shock, I just, well, no we just, wanted you to know. And I know it must be hard, after all that has happened and stuff."

"Hey, Tan, no man, it's good." Street smiled up at his friend. His smile was genuine. "Actually, it's great. I'm so happy for you guys."

"Okay well, we still need to cover this mess you are in and workout how to get you back on track."

"I dunno, maybe just leave it for a few days. I mean, Chris has Jared here now and I am NOT, going near them and spoiling their time together."

"Why?" Tan frowned. "You guys are like best friends."

"Yeah, but boyfriend trumps friend." Street said with a bit of a tone to his voice.

"Man, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that almost sounded like resentment or," he paused and considered his words, "maybe even, jealousy," he finished with a twitch to his eyebrows. Street just shrugged and looked at the table.

"Maybe?" He muttered. "But I mean, honestly what the hell am I supposed to do now?"

"Talk to her. Explain. Would be my usual answer but I am guessing you stuffed that up too." Tan laughed.

"I might just go now," Street said playfully pouting as Tan chuckled.

"Okay, look, I dunno the magic fix here," he shrugged, "but I think talking it out with all parties would be my first option." Street started to laugh.

"What?" Tan asked glaring at him.

"Well, that's exactly what we tried today." He began to explain. "And well, Molly was an ice queen, and Chris, was, I dunno, off? I think I just need to leave her alone." He exhaled sadly, before he added sadly, "and maybe having Jared here, well, I dunno, that's just how it is."

"Oh, well understandable. But did you think she seemed shocked he was here?" Tan tilted his head questioningly, before adding, "He seems like a great dude though."

"Yeah," Street answered, a tinge of sadness to his voice.

"Okay I am gunna ask you something and feel free to shut me down, but" he paused considering the question. "Do you have feelings, like romantic feelings for her?"
