Wile Vine tried her best to not be too biased during her explanation of her and her seedling's situation, who the Bakugan revealed to the natives of Earth when they asked was female and that her name couldn't be properly pronounced in the Earthly languages but meant 'Hope' in the language spoken by the Gundalians and Neathians. While the two humans, as they revealed was the name of their species when Wile Vine paused her explanation and asked (not wanting to come across as rude), were surprised to learn that the baby in Lily's arms and her spherical companion were not only literal aliens from another planet but also (technically) refugees.
When two humans inevitably asked how Wile Vine was able to understand what they were saying, the Bakugan made a gesture that could be interpreted as a shrug, as she couldn't really make an actual shrug in Ball-form, simply stating that Bakugan didn't technically speak in the traditional sense but rather used an ability that allowed them to selectively broadcast and receive not only their thoughts and opinions telepathically as coherent sentences but also use the same ability to interpret the meaning of words of others when spoken to. The ability wasn't perfect however, which occasionally resulted in Bakugan not properly understanding things and as a result missing the point of conversations or phrases.
At the end of the explanation, Lily and James offered to take the baby, who they referred to as Hope based on the meaning of her name, and the Bakugan into their care, which Wile Vine accepted, mostly out of pragmatism as she was simply too small in Ball-form to take care of her seedling (which the humans rather quickly figured out was a term of affection).
