Chapter Four:

Something that surprised but also relieved the humans known as Lily and James Potter, was the surprisingly numerous similarities between Gundalians and humans. Which made the procedure of feeding Hope pretty much identical to a human baby, namely with a baby bottle in this case. Something that Lily was quick to ask Wile Vine was regarding why Hope looked like a human despite being an alien, to which the Bakugan revealed that Gundalians (and Neathians she assumed) possessed an ability that allowed them to cast an illusion of sorts that changed their appearance to that of a human, though she admitted that she wasn't entirely sure why Gundalians (and Neathians) looked like humans under the effect of the illusion, albeit with a few small imperfections such as the eyes and pointed ears.

Something that Wile Vine was hesitant to reveal to the Potters after overhearing a conversation about the light and the dark (of what, the Bakugan wasn't sure) was information regarding the six elemental attributes Bakugan belonged to, more specifically her own attribute. The element of darkness, Darkus. Sure, some Bakugan's personality did partially match the kind of personality that one would associate with their attribute, a good example being Wile Vine herself who was actually quite a friendly Bakugan, even if she could be quite the sadomasochist in battle, usually to the discomfort or embarrassment of everyone present, be they Bakugan or not. Though considering that her Partner was just a baby at the moment, she knew full-well that she would have to control herself in regards to her sadomasochism in battle when/if she got the opportunity to do so with Hope at her side in order to not traumatize her Partner, unlike Hope's biological parents who discovered something about themselves. Namely that the two were into BDSM, which actually resulted in the conception of the Bakugan of the Darkus-attribute's Partner, meaning that Wile Vine was responsible for her Partner being born. A little fact that filled the plant-lady-like Bakugan with pride.

A few months after the Potters took the young Gundalian and her Bakugan into their care, during which time the humans had grown quite attached to little Hope and Wile Vine, the Lily and James not only revealed that the two were Magical (something that initially confused the Bakugan of the attribute of Darkus, before concluding that Wizards and Witches were a kind of subspecies of normal humans based on how the Potters explained it) but also that they were willing to Blood Adopt Hope into their family. Essentially turning her into their biological child. Wile Vine said 'no' almost immediately, until Lily and James managed to convince the Bakugan by stating that the likeliest result of the Blood Adoption being that Hope would inherit a few of their physical features and gain access to Magic. Something that neither Gundalians nor Neathians naturally possessed and would be a great asset when Hope was older and able to learn how to use and master it. The fact that they also said that Hope would still be 50% Gundalian at minimum after the Blood Adoption instead of a full Gundalian was what finally managed to convince Wile Vine to let them go through with it.
