Of the infinite, there are three kinds:

Lost ones, they are lost in infinity

And useless.

Ones that create, they were our gods

They were finited.

Ones that destroy, they were banished.

But The One Infinite is still.

Life can be repetitive at times. To wake up and do the same thing everyday can be tiring. Some keep things the same way to keep it safe, others break the cycle to bring about change. Change that can be both good or bad. Sometimes, even both.

Many millennia ago, the Chief God's chosen hero, Adam, collaborated with a Succubus named Lilith to over throw the current demon lord at that time, get rid of monster kind's bloodthirsty nature, unite their species as one, and put an end to their endless cycle of killing.

They were semi-successful, with Lilith now in place as the new demon lord.

Currently, she was seated at her throne in her castle, awaiting her husband. Her face resting on her hand, eyes closed as she waited. Though her eyes were closed, she could sense the presence of a certain uninvited guest.

"Care to explain why you're here?" asked Lilith as she opened her eyes to see the Chief God, standing across from her. "Have you come to lose again? You know you don't have the power to defeat us." She said with a bored voice. The Chief God remained silent. A small smile crept across her face before saying

"Mordekai the Summoner is dead."

Lilith's expression changed from bored to shocked in an instance. "What?" She exclaimed. Mordekai the Summoner, one of the most powerful sorcerer's in the whole universe, who was resurrected from the dead, was killed.

"How did this happen?" Lilith asked, standing up from her throne.

"He was killed half an hour ago at the hands of a human. The same one that killed the almighty Ugh-Zan III over two thousand years ago." Said The Chief God with a confident smile on her face. Lilith narrowed her eyes at her. "Do you take me for a fool? Do you truly expect me to believe that the same thing that killed The Vicious Warlock over two thousand years ago was a human? I think you're lying!"

"I am a god, Lilith. I cannot tell lies." The Chief God retorted. "Not only has he killed two of Tah-Um's best but he even dares to take on Tah-Um itself."

"But this is preposterous! Tah-Um is beyond even both you and I!" Lilith exclaimed.

"But it's true! And now, I've brought him to this world..." The Chief God pointed a single finger at Lilith. "...to kill you."

Lilith went silent with shock. All the previous heroes The Chief God and the order sent to kill her had eventually succumbed to the pleasures that Mamono had to offer. But the idea of a being dangerous enough to challenge Tah-Um itself being sent to kill her? She would be lying if she said she wasn't a little bit shook by the thought.

"What are you doing here?" Came a stern male voice. The two enemies looked to their sides to see the husband of Lilith standing in the doorway, glaring at The Chief God.

"Adam." The chief God greeted. "Well, I must leave now. I have a hero to watch over. Farewell Lilith, Adam." In the flash of bright light, The Chief God was gone. Leaving a speechless Lilith and a confused Adam behind.

"Why was she here?" Adam said, point at the spot where The Chief God was. "And who is Tah-Um?"

Lilith slowly turned to face her husband. "Take a seat, my dear husband. It's about time I told you the story of The One Infinite."

I was an explorer once. Captain Sam Stone of the Surveyor. It was good. Hell, it was awesome.

Then I woke him up. What we humans called The Notorious Mental. And because I woke him up, My world, my race, paid the consequences. All of humanity, save for me, was wiped out and my world destroyed by his hands. And now, thanks to time travel, it's up to me to save my world.

And right now, I'm just floating through darkness with nothing but my thoughts. It's given me time to reflect on my journey so far. I've done a lot of stuff. From traveling through ancient Egypt, to Mesoamerica, to Mesopotamia and finally mediaeval Europe. All in different time periods might I add. I think I can safely say it's been a hell of a ride so far.

But my journey is far from over. Not until Mental's dead by my hands. This job I'm doing? I'm just doing this to get all the help I can in killing him.

I think I'm starting to regain my senses. I feel a pleasant breeze blowing gently against me, And I feel grass underneath me. It actually feels kinda nice. My eyes finally open and I find myself in a grassy field with the sun setting."Looks a hell of a lot like earth." I wasn't lying when I said that. I've got all my weapons with me. That was a good sign. Lord knows how many times I've lost them traveling to another place. I got up and took a good look at my surroundings.I was in the middle of nowhere, on a foreign planet full of monsters, with no idea where to go and night was approaching. Just my damn luck!

"Well, we're here. I don't know why you didn't just go to planet Sirius. Especially since you don't exactly need help. Oh well, let's get this over with. It's weird; I've got nothing on this world. Nothing! It's almost like it never existed. Could you do me a favour and find the nearest civilization. Maybe you can ask the locals about the history of this world. It could help us out." Said NETRICSA.

And with that, I got up and walked. First course of action was to find civilization and get some information. It's a start, at least.

It was getting darker by the minute, And I was getting nowhere. I made it out of the field and now I was walking on a dirt road with woods on both sides.

As I walked, I began to realise how peaceful it was. I mean, nothing had tried kill me! At least, not yet.

So why was it I felt like I was being watched? Something was definitely not right. Ever since I started walking on the road, I felt like I was constantly being looked at. I took out my two Schofield .45 Revolvers and prepped myself for a fight.

"Show yourself! I know you're out there." I called out. Of all the things I was expecting to to come out of the woods, four scantily clad women was not one of them. And they had the largest pair of cans I've ever seen.

Oh, and weapons. They had weapons as well. One thing that caught my attention was the fact that they had pig ears.

"Well, well, well. Look at what we have here? A man-"

"-a handsome and muscular one at that-

"- all by his lonesome-"

"- and far from home from the looks of it."

Why do I get the feeling that I'm in danger?

I kept my revolvers trained on them. There's no way in hell I was letting my guard down now. One of them stopped a few inches from me and licked her lips. "Come with us back to our camp. You can join us and we can have sex all night long!" She said a sensual voice.

Excuse me, what?

I'm not on this world for nearly an hour and already one of them have offered to screw me.

"Tempting, but I think I'll pass." I told them. All four of them giggled before reading their weapons. The one in front of me charged at me, weapon raised. I aimed one of my revolvers at her and-

Bang!

She fell backwards onto the ground, dead as a doornail. The other three? Well they weren't taking it so well; I couldn't help but smirk at their reactions.

"Give a man a bullet and he'll want a gun. Give a man a gun and he'll be giving away the bullets." I quipped.

I aimed and unloaded four bullets into two more of them. Wasn't even that much of a challenge to be honest. The remaining pig girl(?) backed away out of fear.

"Tell me where nearest town or city is and I might let you live." I told her.

"I-If you go north, you'll find Lescatie ten miles from here." She answered in a shaky voice. "Much appreciated." I said, aiming my revolver at her.

"Wait! you said you'd let me live!" She nearly screamed.

"I said I might." I reminded her before shooting her in the head at point-blank range. Well, that was quick. Lescatie, huh? It's a start at least.

This world is in for one hell of a rude awakening.

Adam covered his his mouth with a single hand in horror of what he was told while Lilith held his other hand in hers. The things he was told. The fact that a being such as Tah-Um existed was terrifying. The fact that such a creature had so much power at his disposal was terrifying. He almost didn't believe it. "Now you understand why I am worried; for our sake, our cause. If this human truly exists, he could jeopardize everything." lilith said to her husband. He fully understood. And he was going to make sure that this person The Chief God sent would cause no harm to his beloved family.

This he swore.

Authors note: And that wraps up the first chapter. Forgive me if not much happend. I'm trying my best not to rush things too much.

Also, sorry for the long wait. Would you be surprised if I told you I never expected this book to get so much attention with just one prologue?

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my abilities.

JaphetSkie: "Huh, a Serious Sam fanfic... You don't see that everyday.

Does he have Serious Bombs in spare, though?"

Continue reading to find out. ;)

Dreadphoenix: "Praise Lord Tah-Um!"

I don't think sam would be too happy to hear that

Billthesomething: "For your first fanfic, this is some pretty good shit. I assume that you intend for the next chapters to be longer seeing as this is just an introductory exposition correct?"

Chapter lengths may vary. I'm not making any promises.

whatsupman: "Cool that we get a serious sam story, however the chief god ripping sam from earth? Arent that 2 different planets? I dont like her already.

I really hope that let sam be his usual self, that man wiped out entire armies of otherworldy beings by himself so this should be manageable."

In fairness, the chief god offered Sam help which he accepted. Had he said no, she would've let Sam continue with his journey. And don't worry. You won't see Sam do anything too out of character.
