As Chris stood in front of the mirror not too long after, she applied her lipstick and frowned trying to decide which pair of shoes best matched her outfit. She had chosen her black leather leggings and a flowy top. She reached down after choosing the ankle boots, sitting back on the bed putting them on, as a knock at the door made her smile. She knew it was Street. He had demanded she let him drive her, so that she could relax and have a few drinks to celebrate her achievement, despite her protesting that she could manage. Honestly inside though, she really didn't mind. She couldn't lie, having an excuse to have some alone time with him made her a little bit happy inside.
"Coming," she called as she took one last look in the mirror. She caught herself wondering if he would like her outfit, and then cursed at herself for letting her head go there again.
She opened the door,
"Hey, come in," she said as she stepped back making room for him. He looked up and smiled,
"Hey." That was when she felt herself suck in a quick involuntary breath. 'Damn he is hot.' She muttered in her head as she took in his black jeans, white t-shirt, leather jacket, neatly done hair and those eyes and dimples. She was sure she felt her knees weaken slightly. He slid away his phone and smiled at her,
'Wow she is sexy!' He mumbled in his head, getting out a,
"Damn, you look amazing." As he stepped past her and moved inside.
"Thanks," she managed as her cheeks flushed hot and she caught his intoxicating scent, involuntarily biting her lip as he moved past her. 'Shit maybe this was a bad idea.' She mumbled. Not sure she would be able to contain herself. As she stood gathering her thoughts and telling herself to stop it. Trying to find the strength to look back at him, Street found himself doing the same. Trying to think of something to say to break the moment. He could feel the electric tension in the air, and was frozen, not knowing what to do or say. His phone beeping in his pocket though did it for him. He widened his eyes a fraction as he felt a wave of relief.
"Uh, that's probably, um Luca, we better get a move on." He stuttered, trying to keep his voice even as she went to slide past him in the narrow entryway to grab her things.
"Yep, right," Chris answered. Street swallowed and nodded. Feeling heat rise up his neck as she moved within a few inches of him, her perfume filling his nostrils and as he glanced down at her and tried to step back against the wall out of her way, his eyes were having a hard time staying off her cleavage in that flowy deep red top.
"Sorry, I'll just…" he motioned to the side, as he tried to step out of her way. She tried to step too, accidentally going the same way he did, she soon found herself standing right against him, him holding her waist as they awkwardly fell into each other, her hands on his chest. She licked her lip and felt the sensation of his chiselled physique under her fingers.
"Um, oh, sorry." She mumbled pushing off him and he released his grip of her. "I'll just, um, grab my bag." She added turning and walking away as fast as she could. Her eyes wide, pulse racing and cheeks bright red as she beelined it for her bedroom. 'Jesus, what was that?' She growled at herself as she paused next to the bed and squeezed her eyes shut for a second. Trying to calm herself before she faced him again.
Chris stood at the edge of her bed clutching her bag with both hands tightly, still squeezing her eyes shut firmly, as she willed her heart to slow and for the blood to drain from her cheeks.
'Just take it easy Chris, space, keep some space from him and you will be fine.'
She told herself, suddenly wondering if he had bought his bike here and was intending on taking that to the party. She swallowed the lump in her throat, at the thought of sitting behind him, her legs straddling him, her arms holding his body against hers. Again, her cheeks flushed, and butterflies surged within her.
'God, why does he do this to me?' She thought. 'I just want to fall into him right now, but Chris, that is stupid, you will ruin everything,' she told herself firmly.
"Should I go start the car?" She heard him call as she tried to regain her voice without it sounding weird and emotional.
She blew out a slow breath and opened her eyes straightening her shoulders, as she told herself she was fine, and that all of that that just unfolded was nothing, just a stupid hormone rush or something. 'Now get back out there and let's go!' Her inner voice shouted at her.
As she spun around to head out to the living room, she was shocked to find him leaning on the door frame. He nervously fidgeted with his hands and glanced up watching her. Instantly her eyes widened, and she froze.
'Did I say any of that out loud?' She panicked slightly.
"Sorry, I ah," he stammered seeing her surprise. "You didn't answer, and I didn't mean to intrude on you, I just," he stepped up off the doorframe, "I felt like I made you uncomfortable a second ago." He motioned over his shoulder to the living room and gave her a nervous smile. "I don't want to head to the party with you angry at me," he continued stepping closer, his eyes glued to hers. "All of this tonight is about celebrating how amazing you are Chris and I.."
Chris licked her lip trying to form her words and get her thoughts together. He was suddenly right in front of her as she looked up at him. Her eyes trailed around his face, and she was holding her breath.
"I um, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable before, saying how you looked amazing and that, and I just, I was worried when you took off to…" he had glanced back over his shoulder to where they had come from, as he looked back to her, he didn't get to finish his sentence. She had taken a small step, reaching her hands up to his jawline to bring his lips crashing into hers in a hungry, passionate kiss.
