Street was blindsided. It took him several moments to register what was happening. As the realisation she was kissing him like that, hit him, he slowly drew his hands up to hold her face as he deepened the kiss. It was fair to say that neither of them were in control at that moment. He was putting all of his pent-up feelings into that kiss, and he could feel the way that Chris had completely surrendered herself to it.

It was only the ringing of Streets phone, in his pocket moments later, that ultimately drew them apart. Chris nervously licked her lip and apologised profusely as she stepped back dropping her gaze.

"I'm sorry, so sorry, I ... um... I…" she moved past him and out of the bedroom as Street fumbled with his phone and answered it. She could hear him explaining to Luca that they were on their way.

As he walked out, tapping his phone he looked to her, unsure what to expect right now. He was a mess inside.

"They um, are all waiting for the guest of honour." He said quietly, pointing at her with his phone as he finally met her gaze.

Chris just nodded and chewed her lip. Before she saw the fear that had overcome him. "Yeah, guess we should go." She said turning and taking a few steps to the door as she tried to regain control. She couldn't quite believe she had just kissed him liked that. What the hell was she thinking? What the hell did he think of her now? She wondered. As she reached the door, she felt his hand on the back of her arm.

"Chris, wait..." he said softly. She swallowed and dreaded turning around. But she knew she owed him that. She spun on her heels and scrunched her lips.

"I know and I'm sorry." She said, feeling a little unsure. What if he didn't want that to happen and she had now made things weird. "I shouldn't have just…"

"Oh, you um, you didn't mean…" He dropped his eyes and stepped back. "Don't mention it." He added nodding and looking at his feet, as inside he felt his heart cracking again.

As she stood looking at him, she realised he was hurting; she knew that he probably thought she was doing what she did last time. So, she sucked in a quick breath and stepped closer again. As she stood almost against him, he looked at her puzzled.

"I ah," she nervously drew her teeth across her bottom lip, looking up at him and waiting for him to meet her gaze. "I didn't mean to make you think I didn't mean it." Cause I feel it." She whispered. "I do, I can't lie." She let her fingers find his. "Yes, I got swept up, but I meant it."

As he felt her fingers grazing his he moved his hand to grab hers. Staring down intently at her. His eyes said everything in that moment. How scared, happy, nervous, and excited he was.

"But," She lifted her free hand. Smiling at him and widening her eyes. "We have to go." She motioned to the parking lot.

"Can we….." he began to say as she stepped away, he still held her other hand and tugged her gently back. "Can we talk about what just…..?"

She turned and smiled at him. "Not standing here," she said with a grin widening her eyes. "We have a group of friends and party to get to." But the smile that she wore, the slight wink she gave him and the way her lips twitched made him know things might just actually be okay.

As they walked downstairs, he stopped and looked at her. She had walked to his bike, instead of her truck. He looked at her puzzled. "I thought you would want me to drive …" he pointed at her truck.

"I do want you to drive me." She smiled pointing at the bike. Suddenly the idea of being against him didn't seem too bad. He smiled and nodded.

"Well, okay, if you're sure I mean." He said fishing out his keys. Chris nodded and chewed her lip. She wondered if that "If you're sure" was more than just her saying she wanted to go on his bike.

The black helmet gently nudging her arm bought her out of her thoughts.

"Oh, thanks." She took it and began to undo the clips inside. As she tilted her head back and flicked her hair lightly to make sliding the helmet on more comfortable, she felt him place a hand on the helmet and step in front of her.

She frowned a bit, adjusting her eyes for the setting sun she was looking into.

"Wh…." She went to ask, when she suddenly felt his body close to hers and her lips softly meeting his as he nudged her chin up. He was tentatively, but confidently gauging her reaction. Again, the smell of him, the warmth of him and the feel of his soft lips on hers made her surrender to him. She raised her hand to the back of his neck and kissed him hard. Eventually slowly drawing back slightly for air she chewed her lip. She knew right now this passion between them was dangerous. The air felt electric.

Just then his phone rang, again. He let out a few choice words and pulled it out. "Luca," he said holding it up. "What does he have a, 'ruin all Streets best moments' radar?"

Chris laughed as he answered it.

"Man, Hondo is here with Hicks. The TLI results are in? Where are you two?"
