ACT III: THE GREAT HAVE RISEN, THE MIGHTY HAVE FALLEN, AND EVIL IS AFOOT

The dragon was being slayed. The plague that has threatened Skyrim for so long is finally shown his own weaknesses in the land of the dead. The Dragonborn is serving her purpose. Killing with all the power she has accumulated. This is how a warrior, a legend, performs.

But little did the world know. For the time being, they are still under threat of the advancement of the Dark Brotherhood. And that advancement was seeing progress today.

The vampire who looked younger than a decade, but was far older, watched on as the final panes were put into place. She paced the length of the small garden with soft feet. Not making too loud of a noise as to not break the Brotherhood members or mages concentration.

When the clouds finally broke and allowed the light to touch the earth, the moondial was engulfed in power. The girl watched the web form before her eyes. The incantation from the hired mages only made the light brighter. Brotherhood members looked on in awe. Their hard work was coming to fruition in this moment.

Babette purses her lips. It would be unwise to blindly assume that this would work. If one pane of glass were to break, then they would need to replace it. Far less things have happened to set them back. But wouldn't it be something, to have Mother come back and find this part of the puzzle completed?

As if in answer to her question, the light shoots upwards towards the sky. A response and a mirror to the power that was sent down before. The light hits just the right place and a dome of yellow strands, at once visible before fading, forms over them.

Everyone waits with bated breath. Even the mages stare in shock. "Well?" Babette snaps at one of the nearest ones.

The older High Elf looks down at her in blind amazement. "It worked! By Mara it worked! Do you know what this means? No pesky and dangerous daedra to deal with." The supposedly religious man looks back to the beacon in awe.

Babette has to hide her small smile so he won't see. Little does the man know that this has given them a new world. When the Daedra are gone, there will be less people worshiping the divine. But based on how the man clutches his religious amulet, he might be telling a different story.

The vampire girl narrows her eyes on that small gesture. A tiff in Mother's plans. There was bound to be one. Would Mother go to great lengths to also keep the divine from interfering? Could she? With her entrance into Sovngarde, Babette decides anything is possible.

With nothing else do to she goes to sit on a nearby rock and write in her diary. An entry for the day. About the success and supposed oversights. After being alive for so long, going from one change to another over the centuries, this time will be one of the most interesting to look back on, she muses.
