Saturday approached quickly. Chris had arranged to meet Street at the BBQ in the park, as she had a few errands to run, like picking up his farewell surprise cake on the way over.

So, around an hour later as she pulled into the parking lot, she took a look at the scene in front of her. Everywhere there were booths and activities set up and people mingling. 20 David were on call but after wrapping up their latest case, they were all keen to get there and give Street a farewell like he deserved.

She saw Annie, Bonnie, and the kids up ahead. As she got out of her truck Tan pulled in next to her and together, they began to walk into the party.

Bonnie stood near the tree. She was definitely glowing, and Tan made a beeline for her, wrapping his arm around her, kissing her cheek.

"Hey babe." He whispered placing a hand on her belly and steering his fiancé off to take a seat in the shade. Annie turned to join them after a quick shout to the playing kids where they could find her.

Chris now stood alone, taking in the scene and looking for Street. Suddenly a voice behind her made her tense a little.

"Look who finally decided to show up," Jared grinned at her and shuffled a little nervously. It was actually the first time they had been face to face again.

"You know some of us actually work for a living," she teased back and leant against the table next to him as she followed his gaze, laughing softly as she finally noticed Street in between all the kids.

"We entertained the children. That's work too. Don't believe me, ask Street," he motioned over to where Street was victim to a heavy tackle. Chris chuckled and slowly looked back at Jared.

"How are you?" She asked softly. He looked across to her, a little surprised and nodded, his hands in his pockets.

"I'm good. I'm happy." He smiled. "You?" He turned to face her completely, and he couldn't help but grin as she let her whole face smile.

"I am too." She shook her head in disbelief and looked back at Street still wrestling with the kids. "I never would have imagined he and I, well that we could actually figure it out." She glanced back to him, and he was still smiling at her.

"Well," he nodded, "I am glad I was able to play a role in helping you to find that."

"Hey, I guess we both did that for the other. I mean if I hadn't of met you in Virginia, you wouldn't have been in LA for that market siege case and you wouldn't have found Caitlin again."

"True," he nodded, "but Chris?" His voice was more serious and softer. "I am sorry for hurting you. I never meant..."

"Hey," she smiled and placed her hand on his arm. "It's okay. Like we said before, neither of us planned on things going this way, but that's life and look at us now. We are both smiling and happy and that's what counts." He nodded and smiled at her words.

"That's very mature of you." He chuckled as he bumped himself against her slightly. She laughed and rolled her eyes.

"Well, I think that's a backhanded compliment." She shoved him back a bit, "But I'll take it."

When Street finally rolled out from under the kids, he saw Chris and decided to head over and make sure she was okay.

"Nice tackle that Matthew has there." Jared laughed as Street jogged close.

"Yeah" Street chuckled in an exhale, "He takes after his father." He nodded his head towards Deacon and Annie on the grass.

"Hey Jared? Could you help get the last few bags?" A voice called out from the cars parked nearby. They turned and Chris felt a hitch to her breath at seeing Caitlin coming towards them.

"Oh hey, Chris." She smiled. Chris couldn't lie, she felt a bit awkward, but managed to reply,

"Hi," with a nervous wave, not sure what to expect or how she should act.

"Oh um, give me a second," Jared motioned as he jogged to help Caitlin.
