Holly sat on the old warn wooden bench in the small town. After the bus dropped her off to the furthest city she could go, she hitched hiked all the way into the small town of Ridgewood and was now planning on finding a motel for the night and moving onto the next town tomorrow. She was not going to make the same mistake again of staying in one town for too long. She had to keep moving or Sam and Dean would be sure to catch up to her. By her constant moving she had hoped to avoid them just enough to be able to rest tonight. She had been traveling for almost a day and a half and although she got a few hours of sleep on the bus, she was exhausted and needed rest.
The sun was below the horizon and the sky was a painted with beautiful pink and yellow streaks. It would be dark soon. Holly sighed leaning her tired body forward and running her hands through her thick brown hair that was a complete mess at this point. Once Holly's braid came lose, she never bothered to remake it or bring herself care much about her appearance at all. She looked at the ground with her hands in her messy hair shaking her head slowly. She had no idea what she was doing anymore and began to question herself constantly on her decisions and her sanity. What am I doing? She didn't even know where she was going. She had no one left in her life that she could count on. Both her sister and father were gone and her relatives were distant to say the least. Her initial thought was that she would find somewhere to settle and start over, but that thought was proving to be very depressing to her heart. She left because she thought it was the best thing for Dean, but ironically all she was thinking about was going back and being with him even though her mind was telling her it was ludicrous. Holly grumbled in frustration at how crazy and confusing her thoughts were. Holly sat on the bench with her head down letting her crazy thoughts consume her allowing time to pass unnoticed.
"Are you okay?"
Holly jumped startled at the unexpected voice above her. She jerked her head up towards the sudden voice. She saw a man that looked to be in his thirties looking down at her with concern and confusion. He was rather tall and quite attractive with light brown eyes and short brown hair. He was slim, but his muscular arms were prominent under his long sleeves. He wore a button up navy work shirt and dark blue jeans. From the grease on his hands and fingernails and the oil rage in his side pocket Holly gathered that he must be an automaniac. Holly blinked up at him for a couple seconds too long before she realized she hadn't spoken.
"Oh a-yeah, I'm just…" Holly stammered out looking away from the man embarrassed that he had caught her in such a state.
"Tired?" The man offered cocking his head to the side like he understood. His brown eyes blinked down at her in sympathy.
Holly looked back up at the man and nodded her head. "Yeah. Tired." Which was undoubtably true both physically and mentally.
"Mind if I sit?" He asked pointing to the spot next to her on the bench.
Holly paused for a second as she was unsure of the stranger, but soon pushed the thought away as her just being ridiculous as most of her thoughts seemed to be these days. She nodded her head at the man who smiled and took a seat next to her.
"I'm Camren." He said extending his hand to her which she took politely looking into his eyes.
"Holly." She said giving his hand a firm shake despite her tiredness.
"So, what are you doing in Ridgewood? I don't think I've seen you around here before." He asked politely, but Holly thought she detected a hint of suspicion in his tone.
"I'm just passing though." Holly said looking out onto the quiet road. There had been one car that passed the bench Holly was sitting on since she arrived and hardly noticed anyone walking about the streets. It was definitely a quiet small town.
"That's what most people do when they come into Ridgewood, they just pass through." Camren commented looking onto the quiet road with Holly his arms resting on the back of the bench, his legs were spread apart as he leaning back in a relaxed manner.
Holly remained silent at the man's comment. She wasn't in the mood for small talk and didn't feel like making a friend. She was exhausted and grumpy from both lack of sleep and the depressing mood she felt. Despite her feelings she did not want to be unfriendly or impolite to the stranger, he did not deserve her dismissal. There was a small beat of silence before the man spoke again.
"I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but are you in some kind of trouble?" He asked bluntly turning his head towards her.
Holly snapped her head towards the man shocked at his candor. At seeing Holly's face, he quickly began to explain himself. "I mean are you okay? You've been sitting on this bench for over twenty minutes with your head down. Did someone hurt you or kick you out? Or something? You seem kind of down on your luck." His eyes appeared sincere and sympathetic almost like he wanted to help her if he could which Holly found to be sweet, but it in no way changed her mind of wanting to reveal her problems let alone accept help from a stranger.
Holly blinked licking her lips then looked away from Camron avoiding eye contact. "No, I'm fine. I'm the one that left."
"Oh?" The man questioned.
"It was for the best." Holly said not fully believing her own words which pained and confused her.
"I see. Do they know where you are at least?" Camron asked showing a bit of concern if not more wanting to pique his curiosity.
Holly looked at the man accusingly with annoyance written all over her face. "No, they don't know and they have no business knowing." Holly snapped at the man with an attitude. She didn't where that came from.
The man did not look shocked or annoyed at Holly's outburst, but oddly somewhat satisfied at her answer. His face was remarkably unreadable and somewhat a bit unsettling, but that feeling quickly passed and Holly soon apologized.
"I'm sorry. I'm just….tired." Holly said lamely feeling embarrassed yet again for her lack of control. She was in no state to converse with people, she was not emotionally stable to say the least and tired to the point of confusion.
"It's okay. I understand." The man said standing up from his relaxed state on the bench. "Do you need a place to stay for the night?" He asked looking down at Holly knowing she obviously did.
Holly found it odd that a complete stranger would ask something like that, but she supposed that it was just a small-town hospitality that the western states tended to have. Holly shook her head.
"I appreciate the offer, but I'll find a motel room." She said as politely as she could manage.
The man chuckled slightly raising an eyebrow at her. "I mean do you know where the motel is? Although you are welcome to stay at my place, but I find that a bit strange seeing as we just met and all." He smiled in good humor obviously joking about the offer.
Holly bit her lip a bit embarrassed at her wrong assumption. She just was not thinking right and she had too much on her mind. She blamed it on her fatigue and miserable mood.
"Well, if you need anything. I live with my uncle just up the road there on Cedar Street. It's attached to Greg's Auto Shop." He said pointing down to one of the side roads.
Holly gave him a tired smiled and simply nodded.
"It was nice to meet you, Holly." He said respectfully before turning and walking away.
"Same here." Holly replied in a quiet voice. Holly shook her head as she watched him walk away. She still had to get used to these small towns where everyone knows everyone and wants to know everything that's going on and talk to every rare visitor. She lived in a fairly small community growing up, but there were definitely more than two stop signs.
Holly ended up checking into the cheap motel down the road. And decided to go to the restaurant next door and get herself some dinner. It was getting to be eight o'clock and she hadn't eaten much of anything that day. Holly sat in one of the booths and looked at the sparce menu. There were only a few other people in the restaurant and it all seemed fairly quiet. It wasn't long before the waitress came over to Holly.
"Hi, honey. What'll it be?" She asked pulling out her pen and paper from her apron.
"The crispy chicken sandwich and fires, please. And a water." Holly said ordering the first sandwich on the menu.
"You got it, honey." The older woman said as she wrote down the order not even glancing in Holly's direction. The woman looked to be in her late sixties, but seemed to have the energy of someone in their twenties. Her white curls sat on top of her head neatly and her light blue eyes stood out in contrast to her white hair making the woman look rather striking. The wrinkles around her mouth and eyes seemed to cut deep into her skin, but it didn't take away from the older woman's beauty.
It wasn't long before she came back with her order which Holly was grateful for. "Here ya are." She said placing the basket of food in front of her along with her water.
"Thank you." Holly said looking at the food eagerly, her stomach rumbling.
"You ain't from around here, are ya?" The lady asked shoving her notepad in her apron.
Holly looked up at the lady and shook her head.
"No, ma'am."
"Thought so, I ain't seen you around here and I know just about everybody. You just passin' through?" She asked curiously seeming to take an interest in Holly.
"Yeah, I don't plan on staying long." Holly said almost trying to reassure the woman thinking perhaps this town just doesn't like outsiders. She had only been her for an hour and it seemed like she was being interrogated twice.
"Hum. Where you headed?" The lady enquired pushing her eyebrows together in interest.
"Um I guess where ever my feet will take me." Holly replied not really knowing where she was going next.
"A drifter, huh? Yeah, we get them a lot, but I got to say I've never seen any like you. They're usual men that look like they haven't taken a bath in weeks. Needless to say, they don't smell or look as pretty as you." The lady said laughing at her own joke almost like she wanted to see a smile on Holly's face.
Holly smiled at the woman in good humor finding the woman charming. "Well, I'm glad I don't smell."
"Forgive me, honey, but you don't look like the type to be alone. Now, I know it ain't none of my business, but I'm old and just can't help myself from pryin'. So, you'll have to forgive my nosiness, but what is a girl like you doing driftin' from town to town all by your lonesome? Take it from an old lady, I've been down that road honey and I'll tell ya, all it leads to is some awful heartache, trouble and loneness. You don't want that in your life. Go back to your family."
Holly took in the women's words as she stared at her basket of food finding herself not so hungry anymore. Holly's throat started to become sore as she swallowed back the tears that were surely beginning to form. She bit her lip as she began to think of life without Sam and Dean.
Holly had no intention of expressing her problems to the older woman, but the loneliness and pain was getting to her and she soon found herself opening her mouth.
"But what if…what if you're not good for your family. What if you only…mess things up." Holly said sadly looking at her basket of food.
The lady gave her a sympathetic smile letting out a small chuckle. "Then you mess things up. No one's perfect, honey, but I'll tell you one thing running away from the issues will only make things worse. Look, I don't know your situation, but I do know family is one of the most important things to have in this world and you shouldn't throw that away just because things get hard or complicated."
Holly let the woman's words sink in allowing herself to gain a small sense of hope once again that she had lost. Maybe there is still a chance. When Holly remained silent for too long the woman spoke once again.
"At least promise me one thing honey, that you'll at least think about going back to your family."
Holly looked up at the older lady whose crystal blue eyes held a sweet genuine hope that Holly rarely has ever seen. Her wrinkles formed around her eyes concentrating on Holly's face waiting for her replay.
"Yes, ma'am. Thank you." Holly said genuinely planning on doing just as the woman asked. She planned to think about it.
"You're welcome, honey. Now don't be stingy with the tip just because my old self couldn't keep my mouth shut. I just cannot help myself sometimes." The lady said before walking away seeming a bit frustrated at herself for being nosy.
Holly bit her lip feeling a smile tug at her lips. She found herself admiring the woman almost wishing she had a friend like that who she could go to.
Holly was lost in thought when she heard a familiar voice that speak above her.
"Well, Holly, fancy meeting you here."
Holly looked up to see Camron, the man she had only met a few hours ago, standing next to her table. Holly found it abnormally strange to see him again and rather creepy. Was he stalking her?
"Yeah, fancy. Are you following me or something?" Holly asked half serious half teasing. She was unsure of the man, but, of course, it could be that he just decided to have dinner here too.
The man chuckled slightly. "No, I eat here almost every Saturday evening. This is a small town you know. There are not too many places to choose from. If you want me to go, I can leave."
"No, no. You'll have to forgive me I'm just new in town that's all." Holly said trying to explain herself not wanting the man to think of her as rude or unusually mistrustful. She did not want to be looked upon as odd, subconsciously, she felt a bit insecure about that often feeling she was abnormal and desired desperately to be normal.
"I get it. You're probably not used to meeting strangers twice, but I promise you I'm harmless. I do have a bad habit of being overly curious. I'm almost just as bad as Miss Ellen over there." He said gesturing to the older woman who obviously heard him waving her hand at him with playful annoyance making Camron chuckle. "We don't get too many visitors, but the visitors we do get seem to have quite exciting stories to tell."
"Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I'm not that exciting." Holly said hoping she made it clear that she did not plan to tell him any "exciting stories".
"Oh, I bet you are more exciting than you realize." Camron said seeming convinced of his words as he looked down at Holly with his eyes narrowing slightly and a ghost of a smile playing on his lips. There was something that seemed a bit off with Camron and the way he looked at her gave Holly an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of his gut.
Holly just gave him a half smile unknowingly revealing the apprehensive look on her face.
"I don't mean anything by it. It just seems in the past few weeks Ridgewood has been getting the most excitement it's had in ten years." Camron explained shaking his head.
Holly gave him a skeptical look. He cannot just mean her arrival.
"You know I…. I'm sorry I've said too much already. I don't want to scare you into thinking this place is cursed or haunted. I can assure you, it's not. Just a lot of bad things have been happening lately. Especially when outsiders come into town. So, forgive me for prying into your business when I saw you. You probably think I'm crazy or paranoid, but you would be too if you'd seen the things that have been happening here…"
Holly was now completely enthralled. The man caught her attention.
"What's been happening here?" Holly asked her curiosity getting the better of her.
"You don't want to hear about this stuff, Holly. Trust me. It's probably best if you just get some sleep tonight then be on your way in the morning." The man's manner changed drastically, his voice taking on a deep and serious tone.
Holly couldn't believe her ears; he was basically asking her to leave because he does not trust her coming into town. Either this man is exceedingly paranoid or extremely scared. Being a Hunter for more than a year now Holly's mind was turning with apprehension. She needed to know more.
"And if I don't?" Holly asked boldly raising an eye brow up at the man challenging him.
Camron sucked in some air through his nose before breathing out in frustration. "Then it won't only be me who will be keeping an eye on you."
"That's a bit disturbing." Holly said throwing her suspicion toward him.
The man sighed heavily with his arms across his chest looking at the ground seeming to contemplate something. "Look, I'm not going to tell you this to scare you, but every time a stranger comes into our town they…" Camron paused biting his lip debating weather he should continue.
Holly's eyes widened with a look of impatience leaning forward a bit showing him that she wanting him to continue.
"They disappear, along with at least one of our residents."
Holly leaned back in the booth surprising Camron at her cool demeanor apparently expecting her to be somewhat fearful or at least concerned.
"You don't think they just might leave together willingly?" Holly asked logically trying to rule out the possibly of this being nothing more than people leaving due to small town drama or other explainable reasons.
"No. I don't. People don't just up and disappear in a town like this. I don't expect you to understand because you are not from here, but you tell me…You think a couple in their seventies who've lived here their entire life would just leave without take any of their possessions, not telling their children or anyone one where they went…"
"Well…" Holly began, but was cut off.
"And ever since we've been getting more and more visitors come into Ridgewood. And each of those visitors have disappeared."
"When you say visitor, do you mean…?" Holly asked wanting to get more information and it appear Camron had no problem giving it.
"Not from here, drifters, outsiders. People who normal come to this town just pass through, but lately they have been staying, asking questions. Law enforcement, long lost friends, investigators….you name it they've come."
Holly's heart practically stopped at his words. Hunters? Are Hunters disappearing?
"So, I suggest you leave, tonight, if possible." A serious rather urgent tone rumbled in throat.
Holly scrunched her eyebrows together study the man's serious pleading scowl. "So, who made you responsible for telling visitors to leave?" Holly asked sounding a bit annoyed at him asking her to leave, the more he did that the more Holly wanted to stay. She blamed that on her stubborn nature.
"Look lady, this is my town, I've lived here all my life. We are a community and we look out for each other. I'm just doing my part. A lot of strange things have been happening here and they seem to only occur when an outsider comes into town. It's more than just people disappearing…" The words poured out of the man in frustration and there was clear fear in his eyes as he spoke.
Holly frowned at his distress. "What do you mean more?"
Camron looked over at Holly with a serious look on his face seeming to contemplate telling Holly what he meant. He took a deep breath in letting the air flow out of his nostrils and he made up his mind.
"In the past week there has been two suicide attempts which both claim they don't know what came over them, Mr. and Mrs. Greene along with Miss Dawson just up and disappeared and Mr. Clark's dog was found stabbed to death in his front lawn. Several cats have been found impaled to post and tree all around town. It's like a little pledge from hell has touch this town." His tone was deep and serious, but there was clear fear behind his eyes.
Well, if Holly wasn't convinced before she sure the hell was now. There was definitely something happening in this town. Something that was screaming supernatural. This definitely could be a case. Although, it did not escape Holly's attention that perhaps Hunters were the ones disappearing. That sent a shiver of unease down her spine, however, that did not seem to deter Holly from leaving the town immediately. She was intrigued and her mind immediately went into a Hunter's mentality wanting to help these people and their town. She felt it was her duty to investigate and try do what she could. It seemed to be a part of her life now that was automatic and irreversible. However, there was a warning going off in her head that this was perhaps too dangerous for her to do on her own. Part of Sam and Dean's Hunting 101 was never Hunt alone. However, that was never fully followed considering both Sam and Dean have hunted alone several times. I guess they meant more for it to be a rule for Holly considering she was still very new to the Hunting world. She knew Sam and Dean would kill her for even thinking of Hunting alone. However, Sam and Dean were not here, and although there was a huge part of her that wished they were, they were not. She was on her own. And if she was going to be on her own, she could not keep thinking about them.
Holly felt a wave of nerves swam in her gut as she thought about it. This would be her first attempt Hunting alone. Part of her was fearful, but another part of her swarmed with excitement. Holly knew it was a dangerous rather reckless thing to do, but she found herself being pulled toward it like a magnet. It was not only the need to Hunt and help a town, but subconsciously, it gave her a purpose that kept her mind off her aching heart.
"You seem like a nice girl and all, and I'm not just telling you this to be a dick or trying to scare you. And I know I may sound crazy, but I'm a very cautious man, who takes the phrase "better safe, then sorry" to heart these days. So, for your own safety, I'm asking you to leave." His voice held an essence of hope as he stared at her with pleading anxious eyes.
Holly turned her attention away from Camron looking at her food before sighing heavily making up her mind.
"Camron, I'm going to say something you're not going to like." Holly declared bluntly turning her head to look back up at him. "I'm not leaving here tonight. I promise you; I will think it over in the morning, but I am tired and don't want to travel."
Camron looked at her like she was crazy. "Are you serious? After everything I said, you still want to stay here and think about it?" The man shook his head in disbelief and annoyance. "Just be careful Holly, I warned you." With that he walked over to a table far away from Holly.
Holly watched him as he stomped over to the other side of the small restaurant not hiding his annoyance towards Holly in the slightest. Holly shook her head, she seemed to have that effect on people, but one thing was for sure that man was on edge and Holly was started to have a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach.

It had now been four days since Holly had run away and that was four days too long in Sam and Dean's option as they raced down the highway. They had been checking almost every town in their path in the direction they were convinced Holly had taken. Both of them have been running on very little sleep, not stopping for anything except gas. The time did very little to ease Dean's worry and frustration. He was still infuriated with her as the picture of Holly almost getting hit by a train and car reeled through his head over and over again. Dean held very little hope that she was thinking clearly and wanted he would find her before she decided, her invincible self could dodge a bus. Dean was not only worried about Holly safety, but there was a deeper worry digging into his heart and that was the fact that when they find Holly, he was not sure if she would come back to him. For the first time in a long time Dean was questioning himself about Holly. It seemed like ever since Holly ran away Dean felt the powerful sting of not being there to protect her. This sent an even deeper fear into his heart. However, Dean found himself putting those thoughts aside as he knew he had to focus on the more important task at hand and that was finding Holly.
Dean cellphone blared the familiar rock tune that echoed through the Impala. Sam immediately picked it up and put it on speaker holding it up between him and Dean.
"Bobby? You got anything?" Sam asked with urgency.
"Yeah." Bobby said solemnly. "This ain't good."
Sam glanced up at Dean with a confused fearful look on his tired face. Dean's eyebrows frowned deep in worry and apprehension as Bobby continued.
"The towns that are in Holly's path are New Port, Ridgewood and Huntington. My guess is Holly would have probably stopped at New Port or Ridgewood. Boys, pray she stop in New Port. Because Ridgewood is bad news." Bobby's voice steady but there was clear apprehension in his voice.
"There have been a lot of freaky stuff happening in that town and I'm talking evil freaky. I've been tipped off by two Hunters, who are damn good and reliable son of bitches, who are convinced Hunters are disappearing from that town. So, I looked into it and I mean I really looked into it and I gotta tell you boys it is not good. Residents have been disappearing, there was one found in the woods with a missing heart, there have been animal sacrifice and mutilations…"
"Well only werewolves would eat the heart, but that does not explain the animal mutilations or…" Sam paused as he tired to rack his brain for possibilities.
"Exactly it doesn't. It sounds to me like this is all some serious staging to lure Hunters in…." Bobby explained with urgency.
"Something specifically attacking Hunters….Wh..?" Dean stopped in mid thought as he tried to come up with something.
"I have a theory, but I hope to God I am wrong." It was rare that Bobby was wrong about this type of thing, even more rare to sound so convinced. "I think this is the work of something worse than a monster or spirit, this is something hellish. I think there is a demon in that town."
Sam and Dean looked at each other their eyes widening in pure fear as Bobby's dreadful words sunk in. There was a terrible rush of trepidation that spread throughout their bodies making them shake with anxiety. Dean smashed his foot into the gas pedal forcing the Impala into overdrive. Dean's fears were being realized and his heart pounded frantically in fear. He pushed harder on the gas pedal as a sense of helplessness came over him. He was not there to protect her. She was alone, vulnerable. All kinds of scary thoughts weaved through his mind as he knew what demons were capable of and God if they knew Holly was with them. He felt sick to his stomach as wave of nausea consumed him. He felt sweat begin to form on his forehead as he stared straight ahead gripping and rubbing the steering wheel with his hands, willing the Impala to go faster. Dean hoped with all he had that if she noticed something awry that she would leave immediately, but that thought was quickly dismissed as not only wishful thinking, but impossible. He knew Holly very well and he knew she was emotional vulnerable right now and not thinking clearly. Although he did not doubt her intelligence, he doubted her ability to care about her safety. Dean's thoughts and fears were eating him from the inside out feeling his breathing pick up and his chest become heavy as his adrenaline kicked into high gear.
Please, please let his baby be okay.

Once Holly finished her sandwich, she walked up to the register to pay for her meal being sure to give Miss Ellen a good tip.
"Thank ya, honey." Miss Ellen said when Holly refused her change. "I'm sorry about Camron over there, he means well, he's just worried about everything that's been happening."
"Are you worried?" Holly asked giving her a serious look.
"Well, I can't say I'm as suspicious as Camron, but I'll tell ya, I certainly have been locking my doors at night. But don't let me scare, ya honey, we've just had a stroke of bad luck, nothin' more. You stay as long as you like." Miss Ellen gave her a small wink and a reassuring smile.
Holly smiled back nodding at the kind woman before walking towards the door pausing to take one last look at Camron who was eating his food quietly not sparing a glace her way. Holly crinkled her forehead into a frown of suspicion. Holly was almost certain that Hunters were the outsiders that were coming into this town disappearing and Holly intended to find out why.

There was a loud pounding on Holly's motel door startling her awake. Holly nearly jumped out of her skin, her heart skipping a beat in fear at the sudden nose that had waken her from her sleep. Holly sat up in bed looking at the side table squinting as her eyes cast over the blurry red numbers displayed on the alarm clock. Holly blinked her eyes rapidly trying to regain focus. The red clock numbers read 2:32AM. Holly groaned as she rolled over letting her head fall back down on the pillow hoping for a split second that the loud knocking had been from a dream. However, she dropped that theory when the pounding nocked echoed loudly once again vibrating her motel room door. The bed squeaked loudly as she scooted her body to the edge bed. Holly quickly got up struggling to regain her balance as she rushed over to the door. Holly's heart pounded in her chest as she felt her breath stop as she came to the realization that it could be Sam and Dean behind the door. Did they find her? Holly peaked through the peephole and saw someone she least expected. A part of Holly was telling herself to not even answer, but it was the fact that he might know something about the case here that compelled her to answer. Holly opened the door just as much as the chain lock would allow.
"What the hell are you doing knocking on my door at 2:30 in the morning?" Holly asked with clear annoyance hoping that he was going to make waking her up so early worth it.
Camron clearly looked guilty as he saw Holly's annoyance towards his rude awakening. Camron cleared his throat awkwardly. "I'm sorry to wake you, but I wouldn't be doing this if I thought it wasn't really important. Do you know a Sam and Dean Winchester?"
Holly's mouth parted and her eyes widened slightly in surprise at the mention of Sam and Dean. Holly was not expecting that and it completely took her off guard and her face all but confirmed it. After a long moment Holly finally asked "Why do you ask?" Holly's throat became raw and felt her body swarm with apprehension and fear.
"Because two guys just pulled into town and are asking about a woman named Holly and describing you to a T." Camron said giving her a look that showed he was a bit concerned
"Did you tell them where I was?" Holly asked finding herself holding her breath as she waited for answer feeling apprehension fill her gut.
"No. I thought I would tell you first. Do you know these men?" He asked bluntly in a concerned tone.
Holly said nothing as she looked down at the ground feeling herself fill with fear, confusion and sadness. They were here and Holly knew in her heart that running from them would just never work, she knew that even if she managed to push them off her trail that it would not matter because they would eventually find her. She knew Sam and Dean very well and knew that they had an annoying determination and tendency not to give up on things they cared about. They were far more experienced than her and it was just a matter of time before she could not escape her fate. She had to face Dean sooner or later and Holly was positive that Dean would make sure they did. Miss Ellen's words kept ringing in her head. It was true, just because things get hard or complicated doesn't mean you give up on your family. You needed to hold onto what you have and fight for it.
When Holly didn't say anything, Camron spoke again. "They seemed really anxious to find you. Are they the ones you left?"
Holly bit her lip feeling her eyes begin to line with tears as all her emotions began to consume her. She didn't know what the right thing to do was anymore. Part of her felt ashamed for leaving them, another part felt justified and another just felt plain confused. All she knew for sure at this point was she didn't know.
"Yes." Holly whispered her voice sounding regretful and sad.
"I could ask them to leave?"
"No." Holly found herself saying automatically. She was tired of running and was longing to see the man she loved again. No matter what was said Holly still loved the man and could not bring herself to run from him any longer.
"Where are they?" Holly breathed out.
"In my shop. They have a beautiful classic chevy that's been overrun."
"He's letting you work on his car?" Holly asked in disbelief.
"No, he just asked to borrow some tools. If I had a chevy like that, I wouldn't let anyone touch it either." Camron chuckled turning his lips up into a good-humored smile.
Holly got dressed into her clothes as quickly as she could her hands shaking with apprehension as she fumbled with her zipper. She pulled on a black long sleeve shirt and her jacket over that. She slipped on her boots and unlocked the chain lock from the door. Holly followed Camron to his shop, the whole way thinking of nothing, but Sam and Dean and what she was going to say when she saw them. Her heart pounded as she wondered just how angry they were.
Camron led her down a side road where there was a small-town auto shop sat next to a small residential home. The street lamp illuminated a white brick building below with three large garage doors in a row with a sign above that read "Greg's Auto Shop" in black lettering. The building was old and the white paint was chipping away revealing the red brick underneath. Holly assumed Sam and Dean were inside the building working on the Impala. Camron opened the side door and walked into the shop Holly following quickly behind him. The door slammed shut behind Holly with a loud bang and that's when Holly fears changed into absolute terror as she stood in the pitch blackness of the old auto shop. Nothing but blackness was visible until Camron flicked on the overhead light that wabbled over a small work bench where it dimly lit the area round it. Holly looked frantically around for Sam and Dean in a false hope that they were there until her eyes finally fell on Camron who was leaning his back against the old wooden work bench, his arm stretched out on either side of him resting them casually on the wood top cocking his head to the side as an unsettling smirk appeared on his face.
"You know, when I first saw you. I thought you looked like a fine specimen to take over, but I just couldn't do it. And that got me really curious…" Camron's words spilled out of him like he was telling a really interesting story.
Holly's lips parted at the realization of what was occurring sunk in. Holly stood there frozen in absolute fear feeling her heart raced as she began feel completely trapped and helpless.
Oh my God.
Holly's face must have said it all because Camron's lips curled up into knowing rather cruel smile that seemed to mock Holly's fear.
"Oh yes, my love." Camron mocked as he blinked away the soft brown eyes to reveal his true identity. His eyes were black as tar and held a depth of nothingness like his soul.
It was a demon. A demon was killing hunters.
The demon pushed himself off of the work bench taking a step towards Holly which made her shutter with terror.
"Now obviously I have a few questions that I'd like answered. One being why can I not possess such a beauty as yourself?" He asked as he paced slightly almost like he was just making casual conversation with Holly.
Holly felt her bottom lip tremble as she licked her dry lips slowly moving her shaking hand to border of her neckline grabbing the fabric before pulling it to the side and down revealing the small anti-possession tattoo that set into her skin. Dean insisted on her getting it about a couple months ago and Holly was extremely grateful for it at the moment. However, Holly knew what demons were capable of and new that it would not save her.
"Ah." Camron said pointing at her. "A smart little Hunter, are we?" He sneered sounding like Holly ruined a special moment for him. Holly released the hold on her shirt covering up her tattoo once again.
"It's such a shame, torturing women is so much more amusing than men. But no worries, my love. I will forgive you. Besides I don't have to possess you to torture you. Although I do like to start from the inside out. Of course, I could just carve that pesky little tattoo off your chest." Camron said casually as he nodded to the area where her tattoo once shown. His casual tone about torturing her made it all the more unsettling and sinister. The words he spoke were so chilling that it sent a shiver down Holly's spine.
Holly felt her body beginning to shake in fear as she watched the demon lick his lips looking at Holly from top to bottom like he was admiring the body he wished to torture. He stared at her longingly slowly raking his eyes over ever portion of Holly's body like he was fantasying his evil desires. After a long moment of staring the demon seemed to snap out of the trance state. He shook his head slightly bringing himself back to the present moment.
"And it appears you know some pretty distinguished hunters that I would very much like to rip apart."
Holly nearly gasps and a complete sense of terror washed over her as she realized the demon wanted Sam and Dean. Holly felt an overwhelming sense of hopelessness and tremendous guilt weigh down on her. Sam and Dean were tracking her and if they succussed in finding her, they would walk right into the hands of this abomination from hell. Holly felt her lower lip tremble uncontrollably and tears soon lined her eyes and began to drip quietly down her face.
The demon cocked his head to the side as a broad sinister smile spread across his lips. He blinked his eyes once again turning them black wishing to take everything in through the blackness of his soul not wanted to hide his true form to Holly.
"This will be fun."
Holly's heart hammered in her chest and found herself glancing behind her at the door.
Camron clicked his tongue making a tisk tisk sound. "You're not thinking of leaving me already, are you? Because you'll really hurt my feelings if you do." His voice was mocking, but there was a tightness about it that made his tone sound deeply disturbing.
Holly swallowed hard feeling her throat become raw and as she knew she had nothing to defend herself with and knew that her death was going to be slow and painful. And the worst part in all this was the last thing Sam and Dean will remember about her is that she ran away from them and she was never going to be able to tell she was wrong and that she was sorry.
"So, tell me, Holly, how do you know the Winchester Brothers? Are there any romances I should know about?"
