Chapter 9B
Quick note, from now on i'll put (M) in front of the name if the pokemon belongs to May and (B) if it belongs to Brendan because things have started to get out of hand. I want to name them what i've named them, ok?
Brendan had in his hands his new capture, a Ralts. The Ralts had almost knocked him out by acidentally dropping an Oran Berry on his head, and now seemed to be ready to join him. Brendan felt May checked the genders of her pokemon as well as Brendan's, and it showed that (B)Treekip was male, and (B)Radot was female. Brendan grabbed his starter's pokeball and clicked the release button, just as May did the same with the new captures.
(B)Treekip bonded with (B)Radot almost immediately, with (B)Treekip quickly telling (B)Radot something. As (B)Treekip said it, (B)Radot seemed to get more worried, until eventually, it turned towards Brendan. Brendan was slightly worried what (B)Treekip had told (B)Radot, and as her horns glowed dimly for a few seconds, Brendan realized she had read his feelings. He quickly pushed away his worry, and (B)Radot lost most of her unease. Brendan checked on what May was going through, and observed that (M)Treekip and (M)Radot were just happily talking with each other. He knew that May didn't have many of the issues he had at the moment, and was happy for her. (B)Radot's horns glowed quickly, and she seemed surprised at the emotions read. Quickly after though, (B)Radot seemed to calm down. Brendan grabbed the Radot pokeballs as May smiled. She grabbed the Treekip pokeballs, and the two recalled their pokemon.
Brendan sent a "Let's get ready for the gym" to May, then got up and walked over to the pokemon center.
