Hey everyone, I hope everyone is doing ok out during this time of need. The first 2 chapters are rewrites. And when I read it and then hear it. It sounds off to me. So I decided to rewrite it in a way or is it revamp. I'm not sure. But I wanted this story to sound better if you listen to it instead of reading it. And since it has been I think almost a year or less I've decided to post 3 chapters. I am still working on chapter 4. This story is a slow burn so be patient.

Chapter2

Naruto's Hidden Home

"Shisui-sensei, I'm back and I brought lunch." Naruto said as he went to get some chopsticks from a drawer.

"Ah good I was getting hungry. So what took you so long to get back hmm? Did something by chance happen to you? I'm going to guess the Anbu caught you doing your prank. And I'm sure the Sandaime gave you a long lecture for sure hmm." Shisui told him as he snicker at his student misfortune.

"What can I say, it was a matter of time before I got caught. I was trying to get back home. Before Anbu and Chunin started to look for me. But I couldn't help it, I was betrayed by my stomach. So I stopped by Ichiraku's and that's where the Anbu found me." Naruto stopped to take a bite, out of the food of the gods.

"Hmph! Could have let me finish my lunch. The bastard, but no-oooo he had to have a stick up his hole. Plus he threatened me in front of the old man and Ayame-neechan. So I decided to prank the stupid Anbu on the spot. I told him to pay for my lunch since he wanted me to get to the Hokage tower ASAP. Little did he know that I ate ten bowls of ramen before he got there." Naruto said as he was ranting.

"Ah Naruto, I bet that was brutal, on the Anbu's wallet. Shisui said while wincing and thought about how much the cost was.

"Che, who cares he deserved it." Naruto said while taking a bite of his food.

"You could have had mercy on him, maybe." Naruto's sensei said as he began to get his lunch together.

"Ah he had it coming, when people mess with me and my ramen, I have to retaliate. It's the principle of the matter I tell you. So anyways sensei what have you been up to?" Naruto asked as he grabbed his bowl of ramen.

"Just been reading and meditating other than that nothing else. And just before you got here I got hungry. So here we are having lunch and having small talk. After lunch we are going to work on your strength and stamina training." Shisui said as he took another bite of his food.

"Hai Shisui-sensei." Naruto replied as he looked excited to train with his sensei.

They finished eating their lunch and continued to talk about different topics and current events. As Naruto continued to talk about his morning and things he did. Shisui smiled and thought how nice it was to have a little brother figure once again. But this time around he is going to protect him from the shadows and train him properly.

Then again it seems that people from the Village Hidden in the Leaves are blinded if they can't recognize the Yondaime's legacy.

After some time passed, Shisui was deep in thought. He never got a chance to be a jonin sensei. Since he was an Anbu before he supposedly died. Shisui thought of a decent exercise for the workout schedule. He sat in his room. While he thought about what kind of workout Naruto should do. When he got the great idea, for Naruto to buy some weights. So he could wear them in everyday life. As he built his strength and stamina as well. Maybe later we could work on chakra control exercise, but it wouldn't be the normal one either. Since Naruto has an enormously large amount of chakra, it would be impossible for him to have perfect control with the academy exercise.

During Shisui's time in the academy, the instructors had most students work on their chakra control more effectively. But of course he found out the real reason for the chakra control exercise. It was to calm down the rowdy bunch of students to stay still. And to see if they are able to follow directions. He snicker at the old memories. His only options are the wall and tree climbing exercises. He thought about all the fun he is going to have watching Naruto struggle with the exercise. He snicker to himself about that.

He turned to look at Naruto to see how healthy he looks now. Compare the first time he met him. He never knew teaching him how to hunt and track would have helped him so much. Having him find his own food, find edible plants and find fresh water. Made a big difference to his little brother figure.

(Flashback)

When I started to get my conscience back. I felt pain throughout my entire body. The one place that hurt me more was where my right eye used to be. I felt like someone was cleaning my face.

Whoever it was it had to be a girl or a kid cleaning me up. As time passed the person cleaned where my eye used to be. It was all patch up with something. As I laid on the futon, trying to remember everything that happened to me.

Still playing the part I pretended to be still asleep. I tried to understand the person's intentions. After what felt like forever. I decided to open my one good eye to see my surroundings. My vision was a little blurry at first, then slowly my vision went back to normal again.

I moved my head to look over to my left side to see a little boy with spiky, yellow-blond hair with azure blue eyes. Then the little boy spoke.

"Hello my name is Uzumaki Naruto and we are in my secret home. How are you feeling?" He said with a look of curiosity and fear.

"Hello, by any chance do you have some water I could have to drink please." The stranger asked with a raspy voice.

"Ahh yes no problem I'll be right back." Naruto said with an excited voice.

It didn't take long for the little boy to come back with the water. He handed over the water pouch to the stranger. Finally when he was done drinking the water the stranger handed back the pouch.

"Thank you little boy I'm very grateful. And sorry I forgot your name, I still don't have all my senses back yet." The stranger said as he gave a sheepish smile of embarrassment.

"It's ok I understand you just woke up and you are hurt. As for my name It's Uzumaki Naruto Future Hokage." He said it with so much pride while trying to puff out his little chest.

"So what happened to you? If you don't mind me asking?" Naruto asked as he curiously wondered about his story.

"Well Naruto before I answer your questions. I need you to answer mine first, if you don't mind please it's a life or death situation." The stranger requested.

"Hai!" Naruto said slowly, not sure what his intentions were.

"So are we inside the village walls?" The stranger asked, as he looked at the little boy with an intense eye.

"Hai, we are at the outer edge of the village walls, closest to the Naka river." Naruto replied as he started to fidget from the man staring at him.

"Does anyone know where we are by any chance." The man asked while he kept asking questions.

"No it's my secret home away from home. Not many people like me in the village. And I don't even know why. Villagers and ninja alike, try to hunt me. So they could hurt me or try to kill me." Naruto said with hurt filled eyes.

The man knew exactly who he was and the burden he carried. But the villagers' hate for him was so great. That they let their fears use an innocent little boy to become the village's scapegoat. He still couldn't understand how the villagers would try to hurt a little boy of all things. It almost seemed like they were trying to push him into a corner. As if someone was waiting for him to fall into despair.

That looks to him to be very suspicious, something that Danzo would do. Since he knew how the man operated from the shadows.

"Where are your parents at?" The man asked as the little blond got hurt and looked in his eyes.

There was a moment of silence as the blond thought about what to tell the man. Naruto had many things running through his mind. He chose to tell the man since he had nothing to lose. Before the young blond answered him.

"I'm an orphan, that's what I was told by Hokage-jiji. He also said that my parents were killed in the Kyuubi attack when I was born. But the only thing that bothers me, everytime I try to ask for my parents' names. Hokage-jiji avoids the question." Naruto said with a downcast look in his eyes.

The man thought to himself. Again another secret that the Hokage kept from him. It seems everything about Young Naruto is just one big secret. Maybe he would be treated better, if the villagers knew that he was Yondaime's son.

If the Hokage couldn't tell him who his father was. Maybe he could have told him who his mother was instead. The red-hot blooded Habanero was a name that brought fear to most enemies' hearts. Such a sad way for a person to live their life. Not knowing about their heritage.

But the one thing I couldn't understand. Why did the Sandaime Hokage let the villagers treat a little boy like trash? For someone that supposedly cares for him. But to let people still get away by mistreatment of him. I don't think I could understand the logic behind more I talked to Naruto the more questions I'm left with. So the man asked Naruto some more questions.

"What are your likes, and dislikes? What are your hobbies? And your dream for the future?" The stranger asked Naruto as he waited for a response.

Naruto narrowed his eyes in a fox-like way in thought. The man could only watch all the emotions that were running through his eyes. When he was done thinking he answered the man.

"I like to eat ramen, and I like to talk to Hokage-jiji, Teuchi-jiji and his daughter Ayame-neechan. I dislike waiting the three minutes for my ramen to cook. I also dislike bullies, and people that look down at others. My hobbies are pranking everyone and anyone. And playing ninja. My dream is to become Hokage, the strongest ninja in the village. So that the people of this village could acknowledge my existence." Naruto said with such passion that even the man was able to feel the truth coming out.

The man thought for a moment then closed his one good eye. And laid there thinking long and hard on what to do. After deliberating with himself he made a decision. He would take the boy under his wing. And teach him how to be a true ninja. Becoming his sensei from the shadows. For some strange reason he has a funny feeling that the academy instructors will try to sabotage his schooling.

"Ok Naruto-chan I made a decision." He paused for suspense, before he continued to speak again. "To tell you the truth about myself and what happened to me. To give you a better understanding of what happens when you let your guard down with people you think trust. And I'm going to explain that life as a ninja is not all fun and games. Because it is a life and death situation. But you don't have to worry about it at this time. For starters I won't be able to explain everything to you since you're still young. But you're going to be my eyes and ears for the village. Try to listen to rumors sometimes you could find out information from that." The man said give the new apprentice a wry grin on his face.

"Hai!" Naruto yelled out as he fist pumped above his head.

"Ok Naruto-chan, it is very important for you to know that you must not tell anyone who I am. And that's why I'm still alive too. I have people in the village that are trying to kill me. Can you do that for me." The man said while giving Naruto a serious look.

"Hai, I could do that for you. But how do I know that you're not a bad person? And that you're not trying to hurt the village?" Naruto said while now giving the stranger a suspicious look.

"Oh that's an easy answer. I'm going to train you how to become a super awesome ninja. And I'm going to be able to help you grow up properly. In a way I'm going to treat you like a little brother." The man said, giving Naruto a warm smile.

As soon as the man finished saying his reason. Naruto was frozen where he stood. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Moments later he began to cry. He slowly bent down to the man and gave him a hug. After a few minutes in a shaky voice Naruto told the man.

"Thank you mister so what is your name then?" Naruto asked after a moment of silence the man answered.

"I'm Uchiha Shisui, nice to meet you kid." He said with a warm smile.

(Flashback End)

"Naruto, during my time in the academy. We had to learn at a young age how to become a real ninja. It was during a time of war. Mean we had to wall climb, water walk, learn jutsu, learn how to have good teamwork. Then we had to learn how to defend our-self from bandits, mercenaries, nukenins.

And if you wanted to survive against an enemy you had to kill a person. If you froze up during battle you pretty much died. There are many people in the shinobi world that don't like to kill. But sometimes you will face a situation where you have to make a choice. For example, let's say your team gets caught off guard and the enemy gives you a choice to pick one of your teammates. Would you be able to make that choice?" Shisui asked Naruto while giving him a calculating gaze.

Naruto plopped on the floor to think about the question he was asked. After a few minutes passed before he got a look of determination in his eyes before answering the question.

"Well Shisui-sensei, I thought over your question that you asked and to give you an honest answer I don't know. And the reason I don't know is because I'm not a ninja yet, and I don't have the experience. That is my answer, But if I throw all caution to the wind. Then I would try to save my comrades or die trying." Naruto said with a serious look in his eyes.

"Naruto, and that is the reason why I'm sure Sandaime Hokage would say. You have the strongest will of fire than most ninja's in this village. Also that same reason I decided to teach you everything I know and even some of the Uchiha's secrets and jutsu in case you face the

sharingan in the future from the enemies in the shadows." Shisui said

cryptically.

"Naruto-chan, I'm going to teach you in survival training. Till I feel that you are ready to survive any situation. I understand that you have been doing ok for yourself. But with the Anbu training I will give you in the future. You will have a better chance of survival. Once we have that down we are going to try to unlock your chakra the sooner the better for you. So I could teach you a few jutsu. That might be able to help as you grow up. Then we are going to focus your training with taijutsu, stamina with physical strength and speed and last but not least chakra control exercise. You're going to need them if you wanna do super cool powerful jutsu." Shisui told Naruto as he had stars sparkling from his eyes.

Naruto nodded his head in agreement. So he let his sensei to continued his lecture

The only exceptions you will not have to train. Or being around the hideout. Is going to be when you start the academy. Or when you go see the Sandaime Hokage. And the last reason will be when I give you chores and little missions to complete. These will teach you how to follow directions and listen to your jonin sensei. Failure to follow directions will get you punished. Do you understand Naruto-chan?" Shisui said in a firm voice.

"Hai, Shisui-sensei!" Naruto said with all the enthusiasm in the world.

Uchiha Compound

During the time Shisui went missing and presumed dead. He was able to get better and remember a very important fact. His cousin Itachi had a similar mission to stop the clan from starting the coup d'etat. But didn't have the details of it.

One night he came out to get fresh air. After making a secret entrance for an adult. He got a bad feeling coming from the Uchiha compound. He secretly went back to his family's old home. It was the one nearest to the wall of the compound. When his father passed away his mother became ill as well and died also. While collecting all of the family belongings, and his stuff.

Shisui began to hear people scream while others were dying. He really wanted to go out and stop all the senseless killing. Since he knew he was being hunted by Danzo it was best to not be seen by anyone. So his hands were tied. Shisui became worried about his auntie Mikoto and cousin Sasuke. He shunshin by their backyard close to the family dojo. When he saw his aunt Mikoto quickly getting to the dojo he acted quickly by knocking her out. Shisui, picked her up Shunshin back to his family home, and hid her away. Just in case someone tried to kill her as well.

Once he was done retrieving his things and placing them in storage scrolls. He left the Uchiha compound from his secret tunnel once again. And went back to Naruto-chan's hideout. Hopefully Sasuke is able to stay away from the compound tonight. He hopes not everyone from the Uchiha clan dies on this horrible night.

Uchiha Massacre Aftermath

The following day it was discovered that almost everyone in the Uchiha clan was killed off. They found the Uchiha Matriarch unconscious, at an abandoned home that belonged to her Tou-san brother. They found her youngest son Sasuke, unconscious not too far from the Uchiha compound. He had a psychological mental attack by a powerful genjutsu. But the medics say he will recover in time.

Another survivor of the Uchiha clan was a young genin called Izumi. She was out on a last minute mission with her team. It seemed that the mission saved her life in the process. When she came back she was devastated that her mother was killed. That left her being an orphan without having any parents.

There were a total of 6 sleeping babies that survived that night. Because they were covered in blood, making it look like the children were killed. Then was the story of the two half blood Uchiha sisters. Rin and Naori, ages 13 and 7, who live with their mother outside the compound. No one knew of their existence, since the couple kept it a secret from the clan.

Clan laws stated, it frowns upon having a relationship with someone outside the clan. And even worse if you have kids with non-clan members, tainted their pure Uchiha blood. The only reason the Sandaime Hokage discovered this secret. Was by pure accident having the secret wife of one of his leaf ninja. Demanding news of her husband if he was still alive.

After hearing about the Uchiha massacre, and supposably the killer was an Uchiha as well. Sadly the answer she was looking for was a devastating one. The woman was not being able to handle the truth she lost her unconsciousness. The Sandaime Hokage could only sigh in frustration with this tragedy.

The Sandaime Hokage that night had to think about a lot of the situation that was happening with the Uchiha clan. He only wanted to get rid of all the traitors and keep the children and the elderly and anyone that was a civilian without a sharingan to live. But something must have happened for his order not to be followed. He would have to find out from Weasel when he would take care of all the inner strife in the village.

The paperwork is going to be a nightmare for all this trouble that is happening. The Hokage is still distraught, losing all the power of the Uchiha clan members. Right now all he has is two female kunoichis from the Uchiha clan that are genin. 3 if you count Uchiha Mikoto to join the ninja forces then she would have a powerful jonin. Again, that if she decides to join the ranks. Only time will tell in the end on her decision. Or will she raise all the babies with some help.

The Sandaime was thinking about what was best for the village and for the clan. While smoking his pipe, thinking long and hard after a long exhausting day. He decided to talk to the Matriarch of the Uchiha clan. And explain the situation with the two half blooded Uchiha and their mother who is not one. If she is able to accept this and willing to overlook some of the clan laws. Then the small family is able to move into the Uchiha compound. That would be one extra adult able to help with the children. Then there two teenage girls that are able to help as well. On their off time if they are not training.

Further down the list of things to do is the ninja council to discuss what happens and what do we need to do. To make Konoha keep looking strong even after the Kyuubi attack. And what type of defence we are able to put up now that the Military police force is out of service. Then after all questions are asked and answered with the ninja council. He still has to have a serious meeting with the advisors and to talk about Danzo's action against the Uchiha clan. Yes it's going to be an extremely long day and a lot of paperwork as well. Fuck! I'm way old for this shit." Thought the elderly Hokage.

Months later

Few months later since Naruto found his sensei. Ever since then he has been improving himself. He was given the task to have the Sandaime Hokage help get him some camping supplies and other useful items. Then he was told that he would have to sacrifice his ramen, by changing his diet. That will help him grow to be a very powerful ninja in the future.

Shisui-sensei was able to take us outside of Konoha's walls. We got into the Uchiha compound to get a secret house. This secret home has a secret tunnel. A tunnel deep enough where the defense barrier won't be able to detect someone. And this is what made it exciting for the young blond.

When they came out of the tunnel they were inside a big thick hollow tree. Then they marched for a few miles to a Uchiha hideout. It is located near the land of rivers. Couple hours laters they reach their destination. Shisui walked Naruto around the perimeter to show him what to do before setting up camp. They both put up the tent, and that's when Shisui began to explain to Naruto all the things to be able to survive. Then he began to teach young Naruto everything.

Throughout Naruto's life he never knew what it meant for a person to love him. Since he grew up as an orphan all his experiences have been bad. He began to see his sensei as a father figure. And it made him the happiest person. Being instructed by someone that cares for him.

And that's how the survival exercises were happening every weekend. When he was not in the academy, till there time off. It was the best time of his life and he would never forget it. Throughout the whole time Naruto didn't learn anything proper. But with his sensei teaching him, he was able to understand things correctly. And that all that really matters to a kid's heart.
