Chapter 18: Wizard's World Part 1
After Shido had left Origami's room after she had told the Ringed Mage about her dark history with Ifrit, Alex soon climbed down from the building he was standing on top of.
Now on ground level, Alex turns to the hospital doors as he sees Shido walking out of the building. Alex then saw the look on Shido's face, and he could tell how deep in thought he was about what Origami had told him.
"Guess Shido's feeling a bit confused by now. But I guess I can't blame him either, especially since his memories of that are hazy at best." Alex said.
From what he could remember from the Date A Live series, five years ago on the day Kotori had become a Spirit, both hers and Shido's memories of that day were fragmented at best, but thankfully their memories were fully restored and knows that it was the Spirit, Phantom, who sealed their memories of that day.
"But what worries me right now is what Dark Decade is up to. Especially with Sorcerer still out there." Alex said. "Oh well, I'll have to worry about it tomorrow. I should head back to the studio."
Alex was about to leave and head back to the studio before he heard Shido's voice.
"Oh sorry about that." Alex blinks before he turns back to Shido, and sees Seth was standing close to the Ringed Mage.
"Oh no, this doesn't look good." Alex said.
"Don't worry about it. It's fine." Seth assured him.
"Good to hear then." Shido said.
Seth then looks at a Magic Ring in his hand. Alex sighed as he placed a hand on his forehead.
"And I was right." Alex muttered to himself.
"So this is your treasure huh? It's not bad." Seth said as he looked at Shido's Flame Dragon Ring that it was in his hand now, which surprised the Ringed Mage as he checked his pocket and saw that it was indeed gone.
"How did you…? Give that back." Shido said as he attempted to take his Ring back but…
Seth punches at Shido and he dodges his punch before he punches at the Ringed Wizard once again, and Shido parries that punch and kicks at Seth a few times and he dodge his kicks, and Seth soon sweeps kicks at Shido as he dodges it by flipping backwards.
Shido and Seth looked at each other as the latter was smirking at him as he showed off Shido's Dragon Ring in his hand.
"Who are you? Are you a Phantom, or are you working with Sorcerer?" Shido asked as Seth threw the Ring up in the air and caught it.
"How about you catch me and find out?" Seth said as he ran away.
"Fine!" Shido said as he chased after him
"I swear that guy…" Alex sighed as he chased after them.
Unknown to Alex is that a White Garuda was spying on him as it was standing on top of a building before it flew away to report to its master.
(Play Journey through the Decade by Gackt)
(Kamen Rider Decade, he has been given the power of a destroyer to destroy one.) (As the songs start to focus on Decade, who just transformed, standing in a white room filled with filming clips.)
(Miageru hoshi sorezore no rekishi ga kagayaite) (Yui covers Alex's eyes until she lets go. His eye zoomed in and was soon replaced with the camera, his camera, and later his DecaDriver which includes all 15 Heisei Riders including himself. His Machine Decader is shown parked in front of a pile of smoking rubble before, in the white room, Alex grabs one of the cubes and faces the camera.)
(Seiza no you sen de musubu shunkan hajimaru Legend) (The scene changes to a worn down warehouse with all Riders sitting but one at a time. Yui grabs a bottle and looks at it while Alex looks back. Ryu slumps back against his TryChaser 2000 as the silhouettes of the riders appear one by one. Setsuna throws the bottle down on the floor.)
(Oorora {aurora} yurameku jikuu koete. Tobikomu meisou suru Parallel world) (On one side the Dark Riders charge while on the other side the Riders of good do the same. The same bottle shatters as Alex looks as though he was about to collapse but not before his face changes into each of the Rider's helmets. Back at the warehouse all 15 riders lined up doing their signature poses and with Decade in the center but behind him was Yui.)
(On the road dare mo tabi no tonchu. Hontou no jibun jishin deau tame.) (All 15 Riders were in a circle and were fending off the Dark Riders as they were being surrounded by them. Alex is then shown on his bike getting his helmet on and Yui was riding as a passenger. Yui grabs on to him tightly before we see Decade showing off his fighting skills especially with the Attack Ride: Slash card. Soon back to the Rider, everyone was doing their best trying to watch each other's backs while against the Dark Riders.)
(Atarashii yoake e to tsuzuku michi ni kawaru no darou.) (Alex sits alone, exhausted and with tears rolling down his face until Yui was in front of him with his camera and offering the other to help him up. We soon see Ryu riding with Alex and Yui on their respective bikes. Back in the battle, Blade was having trouble with Glaive until Decade showed up and pushed Glaive away. Ryuga was about to use his strike Vent on Decade until Ryuki used his first which saved Decade.)
(Mokugekise yo Journey through the Decade.) (The Riders were helping each other trying to take down their respective foe. Soon Yui is seen with a smile in Decade's mind. But Decade focuses on the battle and helping his comrade's. Decade was soon on his bike driving out of an Aurora Curtain with pictures of the other 14 Riders in it and circled the logo.)
Alex had followed Shido and Seth for a while before he stopped as he lost track of them both. Alex looks around for them.
"Dang it. Just where did they go?" Alex said as he wonders how to find them now.
[EXPLOSION, NOW]
Then out of nowhere an explosion appeared in front of Alex which sent him rolling on the ground. Alex soon stood up on his knee and foot before he looked around thinking that it was Sorcerer attacking him.
"You will go no farther."
Alex looks and sees that his attacker was the White Wizard wearing his Explosion Ring, but Alex knows him better as Kamen Rider Wiseman.
'The White Wizard…No, Kamen Rider Wiseman.' Alex thought as he stood back up.
"Just what are you doing here?" Alex asked.
"You and those outsiders don't belong in this world." Wiseman stated and Alex narrowed his eyes.
"So you know about me and the Dark Riders?" Alex asked, and Wiseman nodded.
"Indeed. I only ignored you people because Orma was useful to me. But you had proven to be more trouble than help. Which is why I need to make sure you won't be a problem anymore." Wiseman said before he scans his Explosion Ring on his Driver.
Wiseman soon created an explosion around Alex as he was consumed by them. Wiseman huffed and was about to leave but stopped when he heard something from the explosion.
[KAMEN RIDE: DECADE]
Wiseman turned back to the explosion and was soon fired upon which forced him to stumble back.
When the explosion died down Alex now transformed as Decade was still standing as he was armed with his gun.
"You…" Wiseman growled at Decade.
"Honestly…You could've at least waited for me to take a picture before we fought." Decade said as he dusted his shoulder.
Wiseman then changes to his Connect Ring and scans it on his Driver.
[CONNECT, NOW]
Wiseman soon brings out his Hamel Cane from a magic circle before he charges at Decade. Decade fires his gun at Wiseman, but he deflected his gunfire with his Cane and soon slashes at Decade a few times as the latter dodges his attacks.
Decade dodges Wiseman's next attack by spinning away as he was spinning; he soon inserts his Blast Card into his Driver.
[ATTACK RIDE: BLAST]
When Decade stops spinning, he soon fires enhanced energy bullets at Wiseman, but the White Mage plays his Cane which deflects Decade's energy shots.
"You really don't want to make this easy, do you?" Decade asked.
Instead of answering, Wiseman soon changes to his Chain Ring and scans it on his Driver.
[CHAIN, NOW]
Several magic circles had appeared around Decade before chains came out of them and moves towards him entangled his body, Decade shot at some of the chains with his gun shattering them before he dodged the few that he missed by rolling on the ground. As he stood back up Decade changes to his Booker's sword mode and slashes at the remaining chains cutting them into pieces.
Decade then saw Wiseman jumping at him and attacks with his Cane's blade, and Decade parries it before they clashed their weapons several times, then on their next clash Decade had pushed Wiseman's Hamel Cane to the ground before they glared at each other.
"Why are you so eager to get rid of me? Is it because you're worried that I might screw up your plans? Or are you afraid that I know your secret?" Decade asked, and that only angered Wiseman before he managed to pull his sword free and landed a spin kick on Decade's head forcing him to stumble back.
As Decade stops stumbling, he soon brings out his Fourze Card and inserts it into his Driver.
[KAMEN RIDE: FOURZE]
Decade soon changes into Foruze and soon brings out a Form Ride Card inserting it into his Driver.
[FORM RIDE: FIRESTATES]
D-Fourze changed into his Firestates form and pulled out his Hee-Hackgun, and soon fired fireballs at Wiseman who cut them down with his Hamel Cane.
Wiseman soon changes to his Special Ring which was something D-Fourze was waiting for.
"Are you sure you want to do that?" D-Fourze said just before Wiseman was about to scan his Ring. "I should probably let you know, this form is able to absorb both heat and fire-based attacks. Can you really afford to waste your magic power?"
Wiseman was shocked to hear that.
"That's right, I know about that. Just like I know who you really are, Fueki Sou!" D-Fourze told him, and Wiseman was once again surprised before he glared at him.
"Kisama…how do you know what?" Wiseman asked.
"Does it really matter right now?" D-Fourze asked. "All that matters is that I know all of your dirty little secrets. And there's nothing stopping me from telling Shido about them."
"You're bluffing." Wiseman stated.
"Do you really want to take the chance? I could do this all day, but I'm going to give you this first and final offer. If you came after me or my friends, then I swear to god, I'll tell Shido who you really are and what you have planned. What is it going to be?" D-Fourze asked as he aimed his Hee-Hackgun at Wiseman.
Both Riders had a stand-off for a while, and Wiseman stood down as he lowered his Special Ring and Decade lowered his Hackgun as he changed back into his Base Form.
"Fine. But know this, if you tell Itsuka Shido the truth, then I'll make sure you'll suffer a fate worse than death." Wiseman warned him before he changed to his Teleport Ring and scanned it on his Driver.
[TELEPORT, NOW]
Wiseman leaves by teleporting, and Decade sighed in relief as he wiped his hand on his forehead.
"That was a close one." Decade said.
After he had arrived in this world, he was tempted to tell Shido the truth about the White Wizard, but he chose not to because he can't interfere in this world more than he should have and he was also worried on how Koyomi will be affected by this as well.
"Now…what was I doing again?" Decade said before he heard the sounds of a battle that was close by as he turned to it. "Oh right, that."
Decade then moves to where that battle is taking place.
(Minutes earlier)
Shido had followed Seth to an abandoned warehouse as he headed inside as he saw the thief standing in the middle of the building with his back turned against the Ringed Mage.
"Alright, if our little game is over now, care to give my Ring back?" Shido asked.
"Nope, afraid I can't do that yet." Seth said before he brought out the Diendriver "Not until after one last game…"
Seth soon brought out his Diend Card and inserted it into his Driver.
[KAMEN RIDE:]
"Henshin!" Seth said as he pulled the trigger.
[DIEND]
Seth transforms into Kamen Rider Diend as he turned around and faced Shido who was surprised by his appearance before he glared at him.
"So you are working with Sorcerer!" Shido stated.
"Nope, afraid not. I'm not on his side and I'm not on your side either. I'm on my own side." Diend said as he pounded his fist on his chest before he pointed his gun at Shido. "But if you want to take your Ring back, you have to fight for it."
"Fine then." Shido said as he placed his Ring on his Driver.
[DRIVER ON, PLEASE]
Shido's belt changed into its Driver mode and soon flipped the switches. Shido soon puts on his Flame Style Ring.
"I'm not sure why you're doing this, but if it's a fight you want, I'll be more than happy to oblige. Henshin." Shido said as he placed the Ring on his Driver.
[FLAME, PLEASE: HI HI HI HI HI]
Shido transforms into Wizard and is armed with his sword, and Wizard charges at Diend and he fires at the magic theme Rider, and he deflects his bullets with his sword.
When Wizard is close enough, he slashes at Diend, and he manages to dodge and parry his attacks using his gun before he blocks with his next slash with his gun.
Diend manages to push Wizard's back and shoots at his head, but Wizard manages to slash on his gun to make him miss and lands another slash on his chest forcing Diend to stumble back.
"Not bad...But let's see how you'll handle this." Diend said as he brought out a Rider Card and inserted it into his Driver.
[KAMEN RIDE: RIOTROOPERS]
Diend summons three Riotroopers armed with their blades as they charge at Wizard to attack him.
As the Riotroopers slashes at Wizard, he easily parries their attacks while landing a few slashes on the summon Riders.
Wizard then opens his sword's Hand Author.
[C'MON SLASH, SHAKE HANDS]
Wizard soon placed his Flame Ring on his sword.
[FLAME SLASH STRIKE: HI HI HI HI HI HI]
As flames channel around his sword Wizard uses it to slash at the Riotroopers to destroy them as they fade away, and Wizard soon sends a fire energy slash at Diend.
As the elemental slash was heading towards him, Diend soon drew out his Barrier Card and inserted it into his Driver.
[ATTACK RIDE: BARRIER]
Diend summons a barrier around himself to block Wizard's attack as he remains unharmed, and Wizard was surprised by that.
"Nice try, but you have to do better than that." Diend said as he inserted his Blast Card into his Driver.
[ATTACK RIDE: BLAST]
Diend fired enhanced energy blasts at Wizard and the magic theme Rider soon put on his Defend Ring and scans the Ring on his Driver.
[DEFEND, PLEASE]
Wizard created a magic shield in front of himself to block Diend's gunfire.
"If I have to do better, then how about I do this?" Wizard said as he changed to his Hurricane Dragon Ring and scanned it on his Driver.
[HURRICANE, DRAGON: Byu-Byu, Byu-Byu-Byu-Byu]
Wizard changes into his Hurricane Dragon Style, then he puts on his Copy Ring and scans it on his sword's Hand Author.
[COPY, PLEASE]
Wizard created a copy of his WizarSwordGun and changed it into gun mode as he wields his sword in a reverse grip.
Wizard then flies at Diend and fires at him, Diend dodges his gunfire by rolling on the ground. Diend then fired at Wizard once again, but Wizard dodged his gunfire and slashed at Diend several times which sent him to the ground before Wizard landed on his feet and faced Diend as he stood back up.
"Alright, I suppose that was impressive." Diend said as he dusted himself before he pulled out Ryuki's Card. "But you're not the only one who can use a dragon."
Diend soon inserts the Ryuki Card into his Driver.
[KAMEN RIDE: RYUKI]
Diend soon summons Kamen Rider Ryuki, and pulls Ryuki's Final Form Ride Card.
"It'll only hurt for a moment." Diend said as he inserted the Card into his Driver.
[FINAL FORM RIDE: R-R-RYUKI]
Diend fired on Ryuki's back to transform the Summon Rider into Ryuki Dragreder as he roared at Wizard as he was surprised by this.
Ryuki Dragreder charges at Wizard, and Wizard fires at the dragon but his bullets were ineffective against it before Dragreder bites at Wizard and the magic theme Rider parries his attacks with his sword before Wizard slashes at the transformed Rider, but Ryuki Dragreder catches his sword with his mouth and pulled it out of Wizard's hand and throws the sword to the ground.
Then Ryuki Dragreder slams his tail on Wizard which forced him to stumble back before Ryuki Dragreder fired fireballs at him which exploded all around Wizard and was sent rolling on the ground.
Wizard manages to stand on his knee and foot as he faces Ryuki Dragreder before he takes off his Copy Ring.
"And you're not the only one who has a few tricks up their sleeves." Wizard said as he puts on his Special Ring and resets his Driver as he scans the Ring on it.
[CHOINE, SPECIAL: SAIKO]
Wizard's Drago Wings soon appeared on his back before he flew at Ryuki Dragreder.
Ryuki Dragreder charges at Wizard and the two clash against each other as they fly around in the building several times, before Ryuki Dragreder thrust his head at Wizard and Wizard dodges the Summon Rider's attack as he lands a slash with his Wings as he flies past the transformed Rider.
Then Wizard slashed around Ryuki Dragreder's body at high speed, which caused the transformed Rider to cry out in pain.
Wizard soon changes to his Thunder Ring as he scans it with his Driver.
[CHOINE, THUNDER: SAIKO]
Wizard channels wind and thunder around his body before he circles around Ryuki Dragreder to entrap him in a vortex and soon thunderbolts strike down on the Summon Rider all around his body before he is destroyed by a larger thunderbolt right above him as Ryuki Dragreder explodes.
After Ryuki Dragreder was defeated, Wizard landed on the ground as his Wings disappeared before he turned at Diend who was clapping at him.
"Alright, now that was impressive!" Diend said.
"And I have more in store for you." Wizard said as he assumed his combat stance, and Diend huffed as he pointed his gun at him.
"Then give me your best shot." Diend said and the two were ready to fight each other again…
*BANG!*
(Presently)
A gun fired on the floor between both Wizard and Diend as both Riders looked down at it.
"That's enough, you two!"
Both Wizard and Diend turned to the shooter and saw that it was Decade armed with his Ride Booker in gun mode as he walked to them.
"Decade?" Wizard said as he was a little surprised to see him again, while Diend clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Did you really have to interrupt us like that, Alex? It was starting to get good." Diend told him, and Wizard was surprised to hear him call that.
"Alex? Wait, that's really you in there?" Wizard asked.
"Yeah. It's a long story, but I'll explain later. But anyway…" Decade said as he turned to Diend. "Care to explain yourself, Seth?"
"Hey man, you know me. I was just having some fun with this guy." Diend told him.
"Then if you had enough fun then give Shido back his Ring." Decade told him.
Diend sighs as he brings out the Dragon Flame Ring as he looks at it one more time.
"Don't worry, I have every intention of giving it back to him...maybe. But before I do, I'm going to ask Wizard this one question." Diend said as he and Wizard turned at each other. "I've happened to overhear your conversation with that friend of yours, and I know about that sister of yours."
"Oh, I have my ways." Diend stated. "But anyway, this is all I have to ask of you. If that friend of yours found out that your sister is actually the Spirit that killed her parents, what are you going to do? Will you let her kill your sister to get her revenge, or will you kill that friend to protect your sister? So which is it?"
Wizard looks down in thought and Decade speaks up for him.
"Seth, there's no reason for this." Decade told him.
"I'm not talking to you Alex; I'm talking to him." Diend said as he pointed at Wizard. "So Wizard, what's your answer?"
Wizard then looks back at Diend to give him his answer.
"It's neither of those choices." Wizard said.
"Oh…" Diend siad.
"We can't know for sure until me and Kotori get our memories back. But either way, I'll protect my sister even if it costs me my life, and I'll find a way to make Origami give up on her revenge." Wizard told him.
"Shido…" Decade said before he smiles under his helmet.
Diend huffed in amusement. "Then I look forward to watching the show."
Diend then throws the Dragon Flame Ring back to Wizard as he catches it in his hand.
"Later." Diend said as he walked away while waving Decade and Wizard goodbye.
"I swear that guy may never change." Decade sighed as he changed into Alex and Wizard had changed back into Shido.
"I could see that. But Alex, you were Decade this whole time? How and when?" Shido asked him.
"Well…" Alex said as he rubbed the back of his head. "Like I said, that's a long story and it will take time to explain."
"Well normally, I would've listened to those kinds of things. But right now, I don't have much time left. Shido said.
"Because you have less than two days, right?" Alex said, which surprised Shido at first.
"So I guess, Reine-san, told you too?" Shido asked.
"Let's just say like Seth, I have my ways too." Alex told him.
"Sure you do...Well anyway, I'm needed on board Fraxinus, we'll talk about this after I save Kotori." Shido said before he took his leave.
"No problem for me. Also, Shido," Alex calls out, which makes Shido turn back to him as he stops walking. "I know we just met and all, but just know that no matter what happens, you can count on me to help."
Shido smiles at him. "Thanks."
Shido soon continues to leave and Alex leaves as well to meet up with his friends.
(Meanwhile)
After he had left the hospital, Orma was now in an abandoned warehouse as he was kneeling before Dark Decade and told him what he had learned after overhearing Origami's history with the Flame Spirit, Ifrit.
"I see. So on the day that his sister became a Spirit, was also the day that girl's parents had died. Talk about a twist of fate." Dark Decade said.
"Yes. But from what I learn about this Wizard, is that his memories of that day are foggy at best. So I feel like this would be a perfect chance to strike, especially since the Flame Spirit is unable to control her powers." Orma said, and Dark Decade smiles in agreement.
"You took the words right out of my mouth. Very well, what do you have in mind?" Dark Decade asked, and Orma explained the details of his new plan to destroy Wizard.
(Back with Alex)
Alex had returned to the studio where he was seated close to the table looking at the blurry pictures he took while he was out.
After he was done looking through them, Alex put the pictures down as he thought back to that dream he had after his battle with Sorcerer.
Both that house and those siblings were still on his mind, especially that girl's voice.
"Onii-sama."
Alex placed a hand on his head as that girl's voice sounds so familiar to her, like he knows her somehow.
'Just who was that girl? And how did I know her?' Alex thought.
Yui then entered the room from the kitchen to tell Alex that dinner was ready.
"Alex, dinner is…" Yui said before she stops and notices the look on Alex's face. "Is something wrong?"
Alex removed his hand before he smiled and shook his head.
"Oh, it's nothing. I was just thinking about something." Alex told her.
"Are you sure?" Yui asked, and Alex nodded.
"Yeah, besides it's nothing important." Alex said, Yui wasn't convinced by that, but she'll respect Alex's privacy.
"Okay. But if you're ready to talk about it, just let me know and I'll be there for you." Yui told him.
"Thanks." Alex said with a smile.
Alex then looks around as he notices that Ryu was missing.
"By the way, where's Ryu?" Alex asked.
"Oh, I sent him out to get some cleaning supplies we were low on. He'll be back soon." Yui said before they heard the door opening. "Or it's more like now."
Ryu holding two shopping bags in his hand rushed into the room with an excited smile on his face.
"Hey guys, you won't believe what I've got!" Ryu said as he moved to his friends.
"What?" Alex asked.
Ryu then slams three tickets on the table. Both Alex and Yui looked at it, and to Alex's surprise they were tickets to Ocean Park which is where Shido's date with Kotori will take place.
"Ocean Park?" Yui reads out the words on the tickets.
"Yeah. Apparently, it's a water and amusement park." Ryu told them.
"Just how did you get these?" Alex asked.
"Well, that's a funny story. When I was heading back a woman with pale hair just gave them to me, saying that it was a prize for me." Ryu explained as he remembered that said woman giving him those tickets, and that sounded a little familiar to Alex.
'A woman with pale hair…' Alex thought.
"But anyway, there's a ticket for each of us. So how about we go to his place and have some fun for a change?" Ryu asked.
"Well, that does sound nice. What about you Alex?" Yui asked.
"Oh! Yeah, that's fine by me too. But first, I need to make a call." Alex said before he stood up and walked away from his friends.
Alex then calls Reine with his phone and tells her about the tickets that Ryu had brought back with him.
"Yeah, that was me." She told him, and Alex sweat drops to hear that.
"Guess I shouldn't be surprised by that. Does this have something to do with Shido's date with Kotori?" Alex asked.
"I suppose you could say that. I want to help those two the best that I can, which is why I gave your friend those tickets. Shin needs all the help he could get, especially with Sorcerer still out there. Only if you're willing of course." Reine said.
"You don't have to worry about that. I already have every intention to help in any way I can." Alex told her.
"Glad to hear that. But I request that you keep this from Shin, I want to make it a surprise. Be sure to bring swimsuits." Reine told him before she hung up the phone and Alex looked at it.
Alex then turns to his friends as they were still looking at the tickets.
"A swim park huh? Well, I was thinking of getting a new swimsuit." Yui said before Alex walked close to them.
"Then maybe we should go shopping tomorrow. It's best to have some fun once in a while." Alex said, and his friends smiled in agreement.
"That's true." Yui said.
(Next day)
After leaving the studio Alex, Yui, and Ryu had arrived at a shopping mall to buy some supplies and swimwear for their trip to Ocean Park. As they were walking Alex took some pictures of some spots that looked nice.
They soon arrive at a women's swimsuit store, Alex then spotted Shido standing close to his friends before he calls out to him.
"Oh Shido!" Shido blinks before he turns and sees Alex walking to thim.
"Alex? What are you doing here?" Shido asked.
"Oh I'm just here shopping with some friends." Alex said as he showed Ryu and Yui standing behind him. "Shido, this is Ryu and Yui."
"Oh nice to meet you." Shido greeted Alex's friends.
"You too!" Ryu said as he grabbed onto Shido's hand to shake it.
"Likewise." Yui bowed her head.
"This is amazing, Shido!" Tohka said as she turned to the Ringed Mage. "These are all those mizugi things?"
"Yeah, they are." Shido answered as he, Alex, and Alex's friends turned to her and the others, as Yoshino was checking one out as she was curious about it as she had never seen these types of clothes before and while Koyomi had picked out two that looked nice and wondered which one to choose.
"So, Shido...what the heck is this?" Tohka asked which surprised Shido and Koyomi as well as she turned to her and hearing that surprised Alex's friends as well.
"You don't know?" Koyomi asked.
"They don't know?" Yui asked before Alex whispered to her.
"I'll explain later."
"Somehow I'm not surprised by that. Well, how to explain…" Shido said as he was about to explain but…
"MI-litary, Zapped, Ultimate, Grind instrument...Acronymed to MI-ZU-GI." Everyone looked and saw that it was Origami as she was standing in front of them before she continued on. "A newly developed anti-Spirit suit. Once the suit is activated, the Realizers in the suit begin critical operation. The projectiles are crushed down to atomic level, easily passing through an Astral Dress, and causing irreparable levels of disintegration to the target's tissues."
"Oh come on, who's going to believe that?" Ryu asked before he heard both Tohka and Yoshino gasped in shock as their eyes turned white and dropped the swimsuits they were holding in their hands. "Seriously?"
"Origami!" Shido said as he was a little surprised that she's here as the AST Soldier turns to him.
Origami then sets her sights on Yoshino which causes her to flinch.
"I knew it. The Hermit." Origami said as Yoshino hides behind Tohka as she was ready to protect her.
"You...Why are you here?" Tohka asked before she turned to Shido. "Shido, is she serious about the equipment?"
"No, there's no way that's-" Shido said before Origami interrupted him.
"It's true. Knowing that the MI-ZU-GI existed, he brought you two here. He must have been planning to distract you and launch a surprise attack." Origami told the two Spirits.
"Is it just me or is that girl kind of hostile towards those two?" Yui whispered to Alex.
"Yeah, that's another thing I'll have to explain later." Yui whispered back.
"Enough with your lies! There's no way Shido would do such a thing!" Tohka said and Yoshino hides further behind Tohka.
"I-I agree." Yoshino timidly said in agreement.
"Isn't that right, Shido?" Tohka asked as she turned to Shido. Shido was about to answer but Origami interrupted him again.
"No, it's just as Origami says." She said while pinching her nose as everyone looked at her. "I was waiting for my chance to kill you."
"H-How can that be, Shido?" Tohka asked in despair.
"You seriously fell for that?" Shido asked, as Alex chuckles in amusement.
'This is much better than watching it on screen.' Alex thought to himself.
"Come on, Tohka...Shido wasn't even moving his lips." Koyomi sighed.
"Plus did that even sound like him at all?" Yui asked.
Tohka blushes when they say that as she realized that they were right before she glared at Origami.
"You deceitful wench, Tobiichi Origami. How dare you trick me?" Tohka said as Origami released her nose.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Origami said as Shido sighed.
"Anyway, it's quite the coincidence to bump into you here. Are you alright now?" Shido asked.
"I'm fine." Origami told him. "However, this is no coincidence."
Shido blinks before he and Alex spot the security camera on the ceiling.
'Wait, don't tell me?' Shido thought.
'Oh she did.' Alex thought.
"I am happy to have met you here, Shido, but today, I must talk to Yatogami Tohka." Origami said as she turned to Tohka.
"What?!" Tohka asked while still being on guard against her.
"Do you remember the Spirit surrounded by flames that descended from the sky yesterday? I'm sure you saw it. I'd like you to tell me everything you remember about it." Origami requested, but Tohka huffed as she turned away from her.
"Whatever I know, I'm not going to tell you." Tohka stated.
Then Origami does something surprising to Shido and his friends as she claps her hands together and tilts her head to the side as she says.
"Pretty please?" Shido and his friends gasped as their eyes turned white while Alex took a picture of this moment.
"Now this is a keeper." Alex said.
"S-Stop that! What are you after?!" Tohka asked.
"I want you to tell me about the Spirit of Fire. Pretty please." Origami said as she swung her hands to her other side and bowed her head, which caused Tohka and Yoshino to flinch as they hugged each other, and Alex took a picture of this moment as well.
"F-Fine! I'll tell you, so quit begging! It's creeping me out!" Tohka said and Origami raised her head, and Alex, Shido, and the others turned to her. "The Spirit of Fire...Yes, I saw her. She was, you know...Red."
"What else?" Origami asked.
"What else? Let's see…" Tohka said as she tried to remember. "She was strong."
Tohka was silent as Origami asked.
"Is that all?"
"Well...She was, uh...all like, fwoosh!" Tohka stated, which caused Alex to chuckle.
"Useless." Origami started which offended Tohka as she was about to run up to her, but Yoshino stops her as she grabs onto her friend.
"W-What did you say?! Is that how you thank someone for a favor?!" Tohka exclaimed as she pointed at Origami a few times, but Origami ignored her as she turned to Shido.
"By the way, Shido…" Origami said, getting Shido's attention as he turns to her. "I only have competition swimwear I purchased for school use. It would cause problems if I were to use them at a pool or the ocean for leisure."
"Y-Yeah, okay. Well, you're in the swimsuit area, so why don't you…" Shido said.
'3...2...1…' Alex counted in his head and with his fingers.
"Swimsuits must be judged not only by oneself, but also by others. Males tend to provide the best insight." Origami told him.
"Huh?" Shido said.
"Males tend to provide the best insight." Origami repeated.
"Umm…" Shido said.
"The best insight." Origami repeated again.
"I-I can give some feedback." Shido said, which got Tohka's attention as her jaw dropped.
Shortly after that, Tohka and Origami had picked out a few different types of swimsuits as they were facing each other as Alex, Ryu, Yui, and Shido was standing between while Koyomi and Yoshino were in the changing rooms to try on some swimsuits that they like.
"Remember, Tobiichi Origami," Tohka said as she pointed at her rival. "The one who makes Shido more excited is granted the right to have a date with him!"
"Very well. But the result is already clear. I would never give up a date with Shido to you." Origami said as Shido sighs as he lowered his head.
"So this is pretty much often with you?" Ryu asked.
"Yeah, pretty much…" Shido mutters.
"But you gotta admit this is pretty entertaining." Alex said as he took a picture of them.
"Well anyway, I'm going to change into my swimsuit now to see if it fits." Yui said as she headed to one of the changing rooms, and Tohka and Origami did the same.
"Why are they suddenly fighting?" Shido asked Reine through his communicator.
"That's fine, isn't it? It will be good training for you." Reine told him.
'3…2…1…' Alex countdown in his head.
"Hey, isn't that Itsuka-kun?" Alex, Shido, and Ryu turned to that voice, and Alex saw it was from Shido's famous classmate trio Aii, Mai, and Mii wearing swimsuits as they were looking at the Riders.
"What's he doing here? This is the girls' swimsuit section." Mai said.
"Maji hiku wa." Mii said.
Shido and Ryu blushed to see them wearing those swimsuits and Alex took a picture of them and then his friends' current expressions before Shido quickly turned away from them.
"No, I…" Shido mutters before the trio leaves to pick out new swimsuits.
"Well, whatever. Let's try some more."
"What about school swimsuits?"
"Maji hiku wa!"
"Looks like we got a winner." Alex said with a teasing tone in his voice.
"That's right, Shin. That was a new record. At this rate, they'll be the ones to get a date with you." Reine told Shido in his earpiece.
"You've got to be kidding me!" Shido exclaimed.
"Shido." Koyomi calls out, which makes Shido turn to her as she walks to him wearing the swimsuit that she likes.
It was a light brown one piece swimsuit with a skirt around her waist, and she tied her hair with a ponytail.
'Nice…' Alex thought as he took a picture of Koyomi wearing that swimsuit.
"So how do I look?" Koyomi asked as her cheeks were a little red.
"Oh...umm…" Shido said as he made a few coughs. "It looks really nice on you."
"Really? Thank you…" Koyomi said as she nervously chuckled.
"Well, look at you, mister popular."
Alex, Shido, and Ryu recognized that voice before they and Koyomi turned and saw Seth walking towards them.
"Seth? What are you doing here?" Alex asked.
"Oh I was around the area, when I spotted you guys." Seth told him before he turned to Shido. "So after all that talk about saving your sister and helping your friend to give up on her revenge, here you are checking out girls in their swimsuits."
"It's not like that!" Shido stated. "But anyway, you're not here to cause trouble, are you?"
"Oh relax, I'm not going to try anything. I'm only here because Saki wanted to pick up swimsuits for those two." Seth said as he turned to his friends.
Shido, Alex, and Ryu turned to Seth's friends as well as Saki was picking out swimsuits for Yona and Inia before Saki noticed Alex, Ryu and Shido before she waved at them.
"Well I guess that's okay." Shido said.
"I'm ready, Shido!" Tohka said as she opened the curtain.
Tohka was now wearing a white one-piece swimsuit, it was a simple design, but it looks really nice on her.
Shido blushes to see her in that swimsuit.
"Nice!" Alex said as he took a picture of her.
Saki hummed in thought as she had a white swimsuit in front of Yona.
"This white one looks nice, but I feel like this red one will help draw out your red hair." Saki said as she placed the red swimsuit in front of Yona.
"You really think so?" Yona asked.
"H-How is it, Shido? Are you excited?" Tohka asked, a little nervous and embarrassed about wearing this swimsuit.
"Well, uh...Yeah." Shido nodded.
"Great!" Tohka said as she no longer feels embarrassed and nervous. "I feel much more confident now that you said that!"
"Shido." Origami calls out as she opens the curtain of her dressing room.
Shido, Alex, and the others turned to her as Origami was wearing a black two-piece swimsuit and had tied her hair in a ponytail. Shido blushes once again to see Origami wearing that swimsuit while Tohka glared at her.
"Hm-hm…not bad." Alex said as he took a picture of Origami wearing that swimsuit.
Saki hummed in thought as she had a dark blue bikini in front of Inia.
"Yeah…I think this is perfect for you, Inia-chan. This dark blue really goes well with that silver hair of yours." Saki said.
"Really?" Inia said, and Saki nodded.
"What do you think?" Origami asked.
"O-Oh, I...I think you look great." Shido said and Origami smiled to hear that.
"Why, you!" Tohka said as she stomped her feet and punched up in the air several times before she closed her curtain.
Tohka soon opens the curtain to reveal another swimsuit.
It was a two-piece black swimsuit with purple parts with some stars on the string.
"Then how about this one, Shido?!" Tohka asked before she covered herself as she felt even more embarrassed and nervous about this one.
"Now that is great, and a little cute too." Alex said as he took a picture of Tohka.
Saki was now picking out some swimsuits for herself.
"Now…what should I choose?" Saki said as she looked at two swimsuits in her hands.
Shido was left speechless as he wasn't sure what to say.
"Shido." Origami calls out as she opens her room's curtain, and Shido, Alex, and the others turn to her.
To everyone's surprise she wasn't wearing a swimsuit but her casual clothes.
Saki then picks out one that looks nice to her.
"Think I'll go with this one." Saki said.
"Heh. Surrendering to my might?" Tohka said while thinking that this is her victory against Origami.
Origami then leans onto Shido before he notices that she was grabbing on her wrist, and to Shido's shock she moves her hand to her skirt.
"H-Huh?" Shido asked as he blushed on what she was doing.
"Reach under my skirt." Origami told him.
"What?!" Shido gasped, as Koyomi and Ryu were surprised by this while Alex and Seth chuckled in amusement.
"Wh-What are you doing?!" Tohka asked.
Origami then forces Shido's hand to go under her skirt and to his next surprise she forces him to lift up her skirt and unbutton her jacket to reveal she was wearing a white one-piece swimsuit with blue strings.
"And imagination for the win." Alex said as he took a picture of this.
"Why are we watching this again?" Ryu asked.
Tohka grits her teeth as she growls at Origami.
"W-We're not done yet! The fight isn't over yet!" Tohka exclaimed.
"I wonder how long they're going to keep this up?" Koyomi asked.
"That is a good question." Ryu said.
"But you have to admit, this is entertaining." Seth stated.
"That's what I just said." Alex said.
"Sh-Shido-san…Shido-san..." Yoshino calls out in her changing room as Shido and his friends turn to it. "P-Please...help...me."
"Yoshino?!" Shido said as he walked to the curtain of Yoshino's changing room.
"Oh, I definitely need to see this." Alex said as he followed Shido.
"I'm coming in!" Shido opens the curtain. "Are you alright?!"
To Shido's surprise he saw Yoshino seated on the floor as she was having trouble putting on her swimsuit and while showing the most adorable puppy dog eyes with tears forming on the edge of them.
"I-I can't put it on right with one hand." Yoshino told him.
Shido's face tully turned red as he was won over by Yoshino's cuteness, and he could hear a victory song through his communicator.
"We have a winner." Reine said.
Shido then heard someone taking a picture of him, he slowly turned and saw it was Alex as he pointed his camera at his face as he was smirking.
"Cuteness for the win. Now that's a keeper." Alex said, and Shido saw that Tohka, Origami, and Koyomi were giving him a narrow look, while Seth was chuckling in amusement and Ryu nervously chuckled as he scratched his finger on his finger.
"Drat…" Shido mutters as he lowered his head.
In her changing room, Yui looked at her reflection in the mirror as she was now wearing her swimsuit. It was a light blue one piece swimsuit.
Yui hummed in thought as she looked at it while she did like the design, she wondered if there was something else that was a better fit for her.
Yui then picks up the second swimsuit she picked out with the one she was currently wearing. It was a yellow bikini with strings. Yui then begins to imagine herself wearing this swimsuit and how Alex was taking pictures of her wearing it.
Yui blushed before she shook the thought of her head and placed a hand on her forehead.
"Just what am I thinking?" Yui said out loud.
(Later)
After the girls had bought the swimsuits that they liked, Shido and his friends had left the mall, Alex, Seth, and their friends had done the same after the boys had bought some trunks that caught their eye.
Both groups were walking together as Inia was talking with Yui while Saki and Yona were enjoying some bubble drinks and Yona was amazed by this drink.
Alex and Seth were walking side-by-side while Ryu was following behind them.
"So…are you going to tell me why you were out shopping for swimwear?" Alex asked.
"Well…I don't know why but someone gave this to me and the others." Seth answered as he showed a ticket to Ocean Park.
Alex and Ryu were surprised to see that.
"Uhh…We have the same tickets too. What are the odds?" Ryu asked.
"Did a woman with pale hair give you that?" Alex asked and Seth shook his head as he put his ticket away.
"No. It was actually a man wearing a gray hat with a matching coat." Seth told him as he remembers that said man giving him the tickets for him and his friends.
To Alex that man's appearance sounds very familiar to him.
'A man with a gray hat and a matching coat…No, it couldn't be.' Alex thought before he shook his head.
"So, I guess we'll be seeing you tomorrow then?" Alex asked, and Seth shrugged.
"We'll see. Later." Seth said before he and his friends left in a different direction as the girls waved Alex's group goodbye while Ryu and Yui did the same.
Alex and his friends soon head to the studio to prepare for their trip to Ocean Park tomorrow. As they were talking, Alex was in deep thought on what the Dark Riders' next move is going to be.
(Next day)
It was the day for their trip to Ocean Park. Alex, Ryu, and Yui were walking together while carrying their pool bag, and they soon met up with Seth's group with some friendly greetings from Saki and the others.
Then both groups soon arrived at a certain spot that was very familiar to Alex and that's when they spotted Shido and Kotori on a small bridge, and just when the Itsuka siblings were about to leave Shido's friends had arrived and greeted them while holding a pool bag in their hands.
"Guess that's our cue now." Alex said.
"Seems like it." Seth said before they walked to Shido's group to greet them.
"Good morning." Rinne siad.
"H-Hello." Yoshino said.
"Boy, am I excited!" Yoshinon said.
"Wh-Why are you guys…" Shido siad.
"They're not the only ones." Shido looked and saw Alex, Seth, and their friends were with Tohka and the others as well.
"You guys too?" Shido said.
"Oh, I forgot to tell you. They'll accompany you on your date. I figured it would be best for today." Reine said.
"Well, well…" Kotori said as she gave Shido a cheeky smile as he was sweating bullets. "You're quite the confident one, aren't you? I'm looking forward to our date."
"Look, Shido!" Tohka said as she showed off her bag. "I brought the swimsuit that you bought for me yesterday!"
"So did I." Yoshino said as she showed her bag.
"Same with me too…" Koyomi said as she did the same.
"Oh? Wasn't that kind of you, Shido?" Kotori said.
"Now, Kotori-chan," Kotori blinked before she saw Rinne glaring at her as she was standing close to her. "You know you shouldn't treat Shido-kun like that."
"Oh I'm sorry...Rinne-oneechan." Kotori said as she gave Rinne a teary-eyed puppy dog look.
"Hmmm…" Alex hummed before a picture of Kotori's expression.
"Seriously?" Shido mutters, as Rinne was saddened to see that face before she hugs her and nuzzles her cheek on Kotori.
"Moi...I can't stay mad at you." Rinne said as Kotori smiled as she hugged her back.
"Wait, should you and Mikie-chan really be here?" Shido asked.
"It's alright." Mikie said, getting his attention. "Reine-sensei gave us the clean bill of health, and she said this might help us recover."
"But still…" Shido mutters before Alex places his hand on his shoulder.
"Shido, I think at this point it's best to just go with the flow and accept what's going on." Alex told him and Shido sighed.
"Yeah, you're right…" Shido mutters.
The group had soon arrived at the water park. The boys were in the men's locker room changing into their swimming trunks while the girls were changing in the women's locker room.
As they were changing, Kotori couldn't help but narrowed her eyes to look at the well-developed chests of some of her friends.
Tohka's chest was quite large that would make any man lusts for her and make any other girls' jealous, and Yui's chest and figure was just as amazing as hers.
Kotori then looks at Rinne and Saki as the two girls were talking, while their chests were modest as best, they were quite large in their own right.
She then turns her sights towards Inia, while she appears to be around the same age as her chest was about the same between Saki and Yui.
Kotori looks down to her chest as she is still flat as a board before Mikie calls out to her.
"Kotori-san, is something wrong?" She asks before Kotori turns to her and studies her body's appearance and hugs her.
"My true friend…" Kotori mutters in gratitude while Mikie blinks in confusion.
"Eh?"
As Yoshino had changed into her own swimsuit, she saw that Yona had dropped something on the ground. She then picks it up and looks at it.
The hairpin had a flower-shaped accessory with a butterfly on top of it.
"Umm…Yona-san." Yoshino calls out, and Yona turns to her to give her the hairpin back. "You dropped this."
Yona was surprised to see that in her hand, Saki then notices it as she looks at Yona in worry before she slowly takes the hairpin out of the Spirit's hand.
"Th-Thank you." Yona said before she quickly puts the hairpin in her locker and closes it.
Yoshino blinks in confusion before Saki claps her hands, getting everyone's attention.
"Okay! If everyone's done changing, how about we go swimming now?" She asked.
"Yeah! Let's go!" Tohka said in excitement as she left the locker room and some of the others followed her.
Saki then moves close to Yona to check on her.
"Are you alright?" Saki asked, and Yona nodded.
"I'm fine, Saki…I'm just a bit shaken…" Yona mutters, Saki looks at her sympathy before she pets her on the head.
"It's alright. Don't forget I'm here for you, same with Seth and Inia." Saki told her, and Yona smiles to hear that before she grabs onto her hand. "Now how about we go have some fun in the pool?!"
Saki and Yona left the locker room together.
After everyone had put on their swimwear, they were now standing in the pool area of Ocean Park.
Alex was wearing a black and magenta trunks and still had his camera hanging on his neck.
Seth was wearing cyan and black trunks with sunglasses on his head.
Ryu was wearing red trunks.
Yui was wearing her light blue one piece swimsuit.
Saki was wearing a two-piece white swimsuit and tied her hair in a ponytail.
Yona was wearing a red one-piece swimsuit.
Inia was wearing a violet two-piece swimsuit.
Shido was wearing blue trunks which had the hand symbol on front along with his Driver On Ring.
Tohka was wearing the dark two-piece swimsuit from her match against Origami.
Yoshino was a pink one-piece suit that had some frills and Yoshinon was wearing a white and red striped swimsuit.
Koyomi was wearing the one she showed to Shido.
Rinne was wearing a two-piece pink swimsuit.
Mikie was wearing a yellow one piece that had a small sunflower on the top right side.
Alex took a moment to take a picture of the girls in their swimsuits along with some areas of the pool.
"Wow, this is amazing!" Tohka said in amazement as she looked at the large area inside.
It was filled with several types of pools, waterslides, and had dozens of trees, and some food booths in the area, and there were even a few mountains with waterfalls.
"Yeah, this place is amazing." Yona said in awe. "There are so many lakes, there's even trees and mountains here."
"There's so much water!" Yoshino said.
"Boy, I'm so excited!" Yoshinon said.
"Shido, am I allowed to go into that lake?" Tohka asked as she pointed at the waving pool in front of them.
"Yeah, of course." Shido said.
"Alright!" Tohka said as she picked up her pool ring and went to the pool. "Let's go, Yoshino!"
"H-Hai!" Yoshino said as she followed her fellow Spirit.
"Look at them. It's nice to see them have fun like this." Rinne said.
"Yeah." Mikie nodded in agreement.
"Umm...Rinne, Mikie." Koyomi calls out to them as they turn to them. "I'm afraid I don't know much about swimming. Can you two teach me?"
Both Rinne and Mikie blinked before they nodded.
"Of course. Let's go." Rinne said as she grabbed onto her hand as they headed to the pool.
"Umm...Seth…" Yona calls out as Seth turns to her as she looks a little nervous.
"Let me guess, you want to learn how to swim too?" Seth asked and Yona nodded, Seth sighed before he smiled. "Alright, then let's go."
Seth offers his hand and Yona smiles before she accepts as they head to the pool together.
"Well look at him." Alex said with a smile.
"Yeah, he may tend to act tough sometimes but he's really a big softy." Saki said with a smile before she noticed that Inia had grabbed onto her hand. "Inia?"
Inia was silent as she was looking at the ground and Saki understood what was wrong.
"You're still afraid of the water, aren't you?" Saki asked, and Inia nodded, and Saki smiled at her. "Then I guess it can't be helped. How about we try the water games then?"
Inia smiles as she looks up at her as she nodded before she and Saki left together as Alex, Shido, Ryu, and Yui watched them leave.
"So she's afraid of water huh? Well anyway," Alex said as he turned to his friends. "What do you guys want to do?"
"I'm planning on riding the waterslides." Ryu said as he ran to one of the slides.
"Yeah, I don't feel like swimming right now. I think I'll relax in the sun for now." Yui said as she took her leave as well.
"Well, I definitely don't want my camera to get wet, so I guess I might as well take pictures while I'm here." Alex said as he took his leave.
Seth and Yona were standing in the pool together as Seth was going to teach Yona the basic steps of swimming in pools.
"Okay, the first step is to bring your head to the water. Think you can do that?" He asked.
"I'll try…but I'm a little nervous though." Yona said.
Seth sighed to hear that before he grabbed onto Yona's hands which surprised her as she blushed.
"Do you feel nervous now?" Seth asked, and Yona answered by nodding. "Okay, then let's begin in one…two…and…"
Seth and Yona took a deep breath as they brought their heads into the water and stayed like that for a few minutes before they brought their heads out to catch their breath.
"See? Just like that. Now all that's left is to keep your eyes open." Seth told her.
"Okay." Yona nodded in excitement.
Saki was looking at them in some jealousy before she sighed.
"Honestly, and here I thought I would be happy to see her having fun like that." Saki said before someone splashed water on her face.
Saki was now coughing out some water before she saw it was Inia who used a water gun to splash on her face.
"You let your guard down." Inia said, and Saki smiles before she brings out two water guns.
"Alright, if that's how you're gonna play it!" Saki said before she and Inia begins to shoot water at each other with their guns.
Ryu was screaming in excitement as he was sliding down on a water slide before he fell into the pool.
Ryu brings his head out before he rubs his hands on his face and shakes some water off his hair.
"Nice!" Ryu said before he set his sights on another water slide. "Now for that one."
Ryu then swam to that water while passing Yui who was lying on a lounge chair to sunbathe, that's when she heard someone taking a picture of her as she opened her eyes and saw it was Alex.
"Thanks. You took a picture of a woman without her permission." Yui said, and Alex nervously chuckles as he rubs the back of his head.
"Sorry, but you know me." Alex said, and Yui sighed.
"Just send me a copy after you print it." She told him.
"Hey, Alex, Yui!" Both Alex and Yui looked and saw Tohka running to them while waving before she stopped. "Can you two come with me real quick?!"
Both Alex and Yui turned to each other before they shrugged.
"Sure. Where are we going?" Alex asked.
After they met up with the others Alex, Seth, Shido, and their friends were standing close to a waterslide as Tohka pointed at it.
"Shido, let's go on that!" She requested and Shido, Alex, and the others looked at it.
"The water slide, huh?" Shido said.
"Yeah! I'm sure it'll be fun if we all go!" Tohka told them.
"I'll pass. I might lose Yoshinon again." Yoshino said.
"Same with me too. Don't want my camera to get wet." Alex said.
"Count me out, too. I'm not a kid." Kotori said.
"Oh, okay. Then, Shido...Let's go together!" Tohka requests as she grabs onto Shido's arm.
"Oh...Uh…" Shido said as he looked at Kotori.
"Wait. I'll go with you, after all." Kotori said.
Alex then thought about it before he shrugged.
"You know what, maybe I'll try it out too." Alex said before he turned to Yui. "You want to ride with me, Yui?"
Yui blushes to hear that before she turns away from him.
"Sure, I don't see why not. But only one ride down okay." Yui told him.
"That's fine by me." Alex said.
Alex, Yui, Shido, Tohka, and Kotori were on top of the waterslide, and Tohka wanted to ride down first with Shido and Kotori.
Shido was a little worried right now as he was seated on the slide, as Tohka was hugging behind him, and Kotori was hugging in front of him.
Alex chuckles to see that as he took a picture of them.
"Now that's a keeper." Alex said.
"It's not that I mind, but...This arrangement is kind of…" Shido said as he could feel two different soft sensations on his chest and back.
"Alright, let's go!" Tohka said, which surprised the Itsuka siblings as Tohka pushed them down on the slide as they rode down together.
Tohka screams in excitement as she smiles, while Shido and Kotori screams in fright before they suddenly fall off the slide mid-way, but thankfully they fall into the pool as their friends flinch in worry.
Tohka was the first to bring her head as she smiles and laughs.
"Tohka, are you okay?" Rinne calls out.
"Yeah, I'm fine! And that was so much fun!" Tohka said and Rinne smiled to hear that.
"Well, next time be a little more careful on how you slide down, okay!" Rinne told her.
"Okay!" Tohka said before she saw Shido and Kotori standing above the pool water. "Hey Shido, wasn't that awesome?!"
"I swear…this is way better than watching any other comedy show." Alex said as he took a picture of them in the pool and Alex could see that Kotori was carrying while hugging onto Shido's back before the Ringed Mage set out to get her black ribbons.
Alex hummed to see that before he turned to Yui.
"You ready? It's our turn now." Alex said.
"I know." She said.
After handing his camera to one of the Park's staff members, Alex and Yui were now seated on the waterslide with Yui seated behind him as she hugs onto him closely, and Alex blushes to feel the soft sensation of Yui's large round…
'No! No! No! Don't think about it!' Alex scolded himself, and Yui's face was a bit red as well.
'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea…' Yui thought.
Then the two slide down on the waterslide as they scream together for a while before they splashed into the pool at the end of the slide.
Alex and Yui quickly brought their heads out of the water to breathe.
"Wow…That was pretty fun…" Alex chuckles, and Yui chuckles as well.
"Yeah…It was…" Yui said.
Then Alex and Yui saw that the latter was still holding onto him as Alex still felt the soft sensation on his back before Yui quickly let go of him as they moved away from each other.
"Sorry about that!" Yui said.
"No! It's fine! Don't worry about it!" Alex told her before they heard their friends chuckling at them which caused the two of them to blush.
Alex, Yui, Shido, Tohka, and Kotori got out of the pool as Shido was able to get Kotori her ribbons.
As Tohka was explaining the experience of riding down the waterslide to Yoshino, Kotori was putting her ribbons back on.
"Jeez, you must be crazy." Kotori said as she finished putting her ribbons on.
"Jeez, you must be crazy." Kotori said as she finished putting her ribbons on.
"Hey, Kotori. Why are you wearing black ribbons today?" Shido asked.
"What, you don't like them?" Kotori asked as she turned to him.
"No, that's not it." Shido told her, before Kotori sighed as she lowered her head.
"I had to. I'm weak when I'm in white. I need to be strong...in black." Kotori told him, and Rinne heard those words as well as she was standing beside him.
"Kotori-chan…" Rinne said as she looked at Kotori's ribbons. "Those ribbons…"
Rinne then saw flashes of those black ribbons in her mind, which caused a powerful headache as Rinne placed a hand on her head. Alex notices that as he turns to her.
"Rinne? Are you okay?" Shido asked as he placed a hand on her shoulder, and Rinne turned to her childhood friend.
"Shido-kun…" Rinne mutters before she shows a smile. "Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry about me."
"Alright, if you say so…" Shido said.
Alex narrows his eyes to see that.
'Is it possible?' Alex thought.
After the waterslide, Alex, Seth, Shido, and their friends decided to have lunch. They were now seated on a few tables in the food court of the pool and while they ordered a few things, Tohka had ordered a large amount of different types of food.
Seeing Tohka eat that much food amazed Ryu, Yui, Seth, Saki, Yona, and Inia.
"Damn…I wonder how she can eat that much food." Ryu said as he took a bite of his hamburger.
"Your guess is as good as mine." Yui said before she took a bite of her salad.
Yona curiously looked at a piece of her takoyaki before she ate and was amazed at how good it was.
"Oh wow! This is so good." Yona said before quickly eating another piece but begins to choke on as she slams her hand on her chest, seeing that cause Saki before she hands Yona her cup of soda.
"Here. Drink this." Saki said, and Yona quickly took the soda and drank it down to wash away the piece she was choking on.
"Thanks, Saki." Yona said.
"You're welcome, but Yona, you have to be more careful when you're eating your food." She told her.
"Right, got it." Yona said before she began eating her takoyaki more slowly.
Inia was eating a hot dog and as she was enjoying the flavor of it, Saki noticed the ketchup on her face.
Saki chuckles once again before she uses a napkin to clean her face.
"Come on, Inia, not you too." Saki said.
Seth smiles as he watches the three of them before he notices that Alex was giving him a sly smile.
"I guess you're not a total jerk after all." Alex said, and Seth turned away from him.
"Just shut up!" Seth said before he ate some yakisoba.
Alex chuckles before he takes a bite of his curry.
"This is delicious, Shido!" Tohka said as she continued to eat her food.
"It's very good." Yoshino said.
"Yeah? I'm glad to hear that." Shido said before he turned to his sister, as she showed an annoyed look as she leaned on her hand. Shido then speaks to Reine on his communicator. "Reine-san, how are Kotori's mood and love numbers?"
"Not declining, but not increasing either. No change at all." Reine told him.
'She's totally unmoved, huh?' Shido thought as he turned to Kotori as she picked her cup of juice and drank it. 'I'll never seal her powers if this goes on.'
Kotori then suddenly coughs.
"Kotori-chan?" Rinne said in worry,
"Are you okay?" Shido asked in worry.
"Yeah." Kotori said as she stopped coughing. "A bit just went down the wrong pipe."
Kotori then stands up and leaves.
"Hey, where are you going?" Shido asks and Kotori stops as she turns to him.
"You'd be dead meat if you asked any other lady where she's going in the middle of a meal." Kotori told him before she leaves as everyone watches her leave.
"Now what's her problem?" Saki asked.
"I wish that I knew." Seth said.
Shido sighs before he notices Tohka and Yoshino looking at him. "What is it?"
"I was just thinking that you've only just gone back to normal." Tohka said.
"Did you have a fight with Kotori-san?" Yoshino asked.
"You loosen up the moment she leaves! It's plain as day, Shido-kun!" Yoshinon stated.
"I-It's really obvious?" Shido asked as he turned to Koyomi, Rinne, and Mikie.
"Yeah, I'm afraid so." Rinne said.
"I notice it too. But I didn't want to say anything." Koyomi said.
"And I didn't want to get involved in any family drama." Mikie said.
Shido looks down before he stands up.
"I'm going to use the bathroom, too." Shido said as he left as his friends, Alex, Seth, and their friends watched him.
"Way to go, Shido. Way to go." Alex said as he took a bite of his curry.
After some time, Alex and the others had finished eating their meals and now they were waiting for Shido and Kotori to return but they were gone for a while.
"I wonder what's taking Shido and Kotori so long. You don't think something happened to them?" Tohka asked.
"Don't worry, Tohka, I'm sure they're fine." Rinne assured her.
'Wish I could tell you, but they're not.' Alex thought
Alex knows that in this point in the Date A Live series Shido is going to discover that Kotori was hiding in hallway where Reine injects with a serum that will temporarily bring her Spirit powers under control, but she's almost at a point where she'll lose control of herself and go on a rampage.
"Oh, Shido!" Tohka said as she stood up.
Alex and the others saw that Shido had returned as he walked to them.
"Shido, is something wrong? You look a little pale?" Koyomi asked.
"Oh, really? Don't worry about it, I'm alright." Shido said, but Alex knows that he was lying. "Anyway, how about we go to the Jungle Cruise next?"
"Oh, that sounds fun!" Tohka said in excitement. "But wait…Kotori isn't back yet."
"Oh yeah, good point. How about you guys go on ahead, I'll stay here and wait for her." Shido told them.
"What? But Shido…" Tohka said.
Shido turns to Alex, and the look in his eyes tells Alex what he needed to know before he stood up.
"Come on, guys. Let's take Shido up on his offer. Plus, I heard the Cruise is a lot of fun." Alex said before Yoshino stood up.
"Y-Yeah. Let's go." Yoshino said before she grabs onto Tohka's hand and begins to drag her to the Jungle Cruise.
"O-Okay." Tohka said before she turned at Shido one last time.
"Don't worry Tohka, go have some fun." Shido told her.
"Alright." Tohka nodded before she and Yoshino moved to the Cruise.
Alex, Seth, and the others soon followed Tohka and Yoshino before Alex turned to Shido and gave him a thumbs up to tell him that he got this and Shido nodded acknowledgement.
Alex turns away from Shido as he follows Tohka and the others.
'And now onto the hard part.' Alex thought as he knows what's going to come next after this.
(Meanwhile)
In the AST's hangar, Origami was with Ryouko as they were looking at a large device that was brought to them from DEM.
"This is the cool thing?" Origami asked.
"Yep. It's a prototype: the EW-029 Annihilation Suit, codenamed 'White Licorice'." Ryouko told her. "It puts the firepower of a whole AST squad at the disposal of one person. It's a crazy suit."
"Could one defeat Ifrit using this?" Origami asked.
"Judging by the numbers, it's at the level that it could beat any Spirit, but you can't use it, for both political and technology reasons." Ryouko told her before she explained why. "A professional Wizard from DEM Corporation broke down after 30 minutes of maximum operation. But what makes you bring up Ifrit?" She asked before she realized something.
"Oh I see. The Spirit in that video was Ifrit? It did use fire…" Ryouko said and that got Origami's attention as she turned to her captain.
"Video?" Origami said.
Unknown to the two AST soldiers, Orma was listening in on them as he smiled to hear their conversation.
"Now the pieces are in motion. Best that I get ready myself." Orma said as he left and disappeared in the shadows.
Origami was in the briefing room as she was looking at the video Ryouko had mentioned, and it was paused to the Spirit of Ifrit which showed the face of Itsuka Kotori.
Seeing her face surprised Origami before she glared at the picture.
"Itsuka...Kotori." Origami mutters in pure rage.
