Chapter 4
Border of Takigakure
A mother and daughter that has been traveling for a few weeks. They were trying to forget the nightmare they were living. Ever since they got word that ninjas from Kumogakure have been looking for their family. The family pretty much had to leave their peaceful life behind. They picked up a few things and left the village of Yugakure.
Lucky for them they had a place to hide, possibly a village to join for protection. The reason for this to be possible was because of Hideo Uzumaki. He once saved a person from Kusagakure, and vow to help out if he ever needed something. He decided without a second thought, to leave with his family before the Kumo ninjas found them. So they left in the middle of the night without any prying eyes.
On their journey to Kusagakure, they were finally tracked by the Kumo shinobi's. Hideo knowing what would happen, decided to stay behind. He didn't want to imagine if they got a hold of his wife and daughter. So he resolved himself to fight back, to give his family a chance to get away. So he made a kage bunshin to guide his family.
Once the family heard from a distance the pursuers yelling about what to do once they confronted the male Uzumaki, the battle began.
That first encounter with the Kumo ninjas was about a month ago. And only because of past tragedies, gave the mother strength to continue on to Kusagakure. And ever since her husband kage bunshin said his final goodbye to his family before it vanished with a puff in a cloud of smoke. She knew right then and there, that her beloved husband passed away to the afterlife. Now her only concern is to keep her daughter safe.
Her goal was to make it to the village, and hopefully would be allowed to get residence in Kusagakure. So she could also work as a nurse or a medical ninja for a living. The one thing she knew was to never drop her guard, with the chance of the pursuers coming after them.
"Kaa-san, do you think we will be able to make it to the village before nightfall?" Karin asked her Kaa-san, giving her a tired look on her face, with hope of reaching the village.
"Karin, from what the last traveler told me we are a day away from Kusagakure." Karin's kaa-san told her daughter, trying to pacify her from asking the same question again.
So they kept moving forward and hoped for them to be at their destination soon. And pray to kami that they won't run into trouble. Karin's kaa-san began to think where they would be camping for the night. Her thoughts were to find a river close by. To be able to refill their water sack and a place to wash up. As they walked in silence for the last hour. Karin decided to ask her kaa-san a question.
"Kaa-san, I was wondering why we have to keep the clan name a secret?" Karin asked, feeling curious since her mother and father never told her anything.
"To be completely honest Karin, I really don't want to tell you for your safety. But since our clan's enemies already know our characteristics. I guess it won't hurt for you to know a little about our heritage." Karin's kaa-san said with a sad smile, as they marched towards the Kusagakure border. Karin's kaa-san thought at what point she would start to explain. The only answer she came up with was the beginning.
"Uzushiogakure was a peaceful nation. We were masters of fuinjutsu and kenjutsu. And no other hidden villages were able to contend with us. It got to a point where we became powerful enough to rival the five Great Nations. Ancient folk tales talk about how we are descendants of the Sage of six Paths. And we are close relatives of the Senju Clan and distant cousins of the Uchiha clan." Karin's Kaa-san said, making Karin's eyes almost pop out of her face.
When Karin heard this from her Kaa-san. It was hard to believe that she could be related to two of the most powerful clans in existence. Karin quickly realized she stopped listening, so she continued to listen to her Kaa-san.
"The Uzumaki clan mainly specialize in fuinjutsu and kenjutsu. Our clan always believed to be the strongest when it came to protecting our people. But that was not the only thing that made the Uzumaki clan special. All the clan members from Uzushiogakure had to be well versed in all the ninja arts. But you had to pick three of them as your main specialization. We also kept the world from knowing our kekkei genkai. Otherwise we would have had more Uzumaki's alive as prisoners of war, and turn them into breeding stocks. But not everyone from the clan was able to inherit these special abilities. But that wasn't the most precious secret they had in their possession. They had many forbidden fuinjutsu techniques. Hidden away in a secret location. These techniques were beyond the mind's imagination. One of the many reasons Uzushiogakure got destroyed." She paused and thought about what else to tell her daughter, before continuing to tell her the history.
"In Uzushiogakure we had a special task force called the Gadian. These Uzumaki were feared in combat, and most didn't need a four man squad. They were in charge of the island protection and securities. From foreign invaders, spies and market traders. These Uzumaki's were the pride and protectors of the Uzumaki clan." Karin's kaa-san explained to her daughter what she remembered.
"Wow! Kaa-san our clan sounded amazing, so how was Uzushiogakure destroyed?" Karin asked with a look of expectation in her eyes.
"From what I heard when we were escaping Uzushiogakure, that coalition of Iwa, Kumo, and Kiri attacked the island from three different fronts. After a month Uzushiogakure was destroyed. Many of the Uzumaki clan that escaped were either killed, while some would stay behind to kill as many enemies. While letting their clan members have a chance to escape. But the once that were capture commited suicide before letting any of there enemies take them alive. And from what you see, that I'm a survivor of the mass genocide. So was your tou-san, we just had the unfortunate luck that we were found." Karin's kaa-san said as she looked over at her daughter giving her a sad smile.
Karin couldn't believe what she was hearing once again. It was the first time she heard her mother speak of her father having ninja skills. On top of that she finally found out a little more about her family history. Since her kaa-san never talked to her about their past. Everything was beginning to make sense now. Why her father was always gone, at times for a long period of time.
"So was you-san a ninja or a civilian?" asked Karin while wondering if he was a special type of ninja.
"Your tou-san had a kekkei genkai, one of the three special abilities. It is called (mind's of the Kagura) This technique allows one to sense chakra from exceptional distances. But what made this secret technique special was that it didn't matter if a person was able to suppress their chakra. The Uzumaki sensory is better than any other ninja technique period." Karin's kaa-san finishes explaining with pride.
"So do you have a kekkei genkai?" Karin asked her kaa-san with a hint of curiosity. There was a moment of silence before Karin's kaa-san spoke. "I have a kekkei genkai as well. Your father helped me develop it in case of emergency. It's called "Chakra Consumption" this ability quickly heals any injuries self inflicted or enemy attack with some expectation." Her mother explained as they kept walking forward.
Karin's mind was blown away with all the information she was receiving. Karin was always told, she was an intelligent girl for her age. She always knew inside her heart, that her family was special. How their clan were distant relatives too, two prominent clans. And learning some of the history of what happened to their clan and island.
Then she learned that her tou-san and kaa-san were ninja's as well. But the surprise didn't stop there. The Uzumaki clan were specialists in fuinjutsu and kenjutsu. They also have a kekkei genkai but it is secret only to the clan. They have hidden away forbidden secret fuinjutsu scrolls.
Her kaa-san admitted to everything she said. It was not what she was expecting at all. Karin was not sure if her little mind would be able to handle all this new information. Karin thought before they were interrupted by her kaa-san speaking again.
"I used to work before I found out I was having you and became a housewife. I was a medic ninja before and a really good one as well." Karin's kaa-san told her as if an epiphany struck Karin.
Now that explains a lot. How her kaa-san and you-san were able to live in so many different places. She never knew how her kaa-san was to make a living. Both mother and daughter fell into comfortable silence. As they trek closer to Kusagakure.
Not even ten minutes later an explosion snapped the little family out of their thoughts. Karin's kaa-san told her daughter to take cover and hide. And from their hiding spot they watched how a battle began to unfolded.
A battle was being fought in between the borders of Takigakure, Kusagakure, and Fire country. A squad of Kusa ninja enter Taki's borders without permission. Just to be able to complete their mission. This is what led both sides to this minor confrontation. While in the shadows another group of ninja watched the outcome of the battle. And to make sure that none of the ninja in the battle came any further into fire country.
Karin's kaa-san was having a bad feeling about this. Her parental instinct was telling her that they should move as far away from this battle. Just in case they have a good sensor and were discovered. And the last thing they needed was for the ninja's to mistake them for extra enemies. That is what Karin's kaa-san thought.
While she was deep in thought she lost track of the battle. Before snapping out of it. And asked Karin if she was able to see where they were at.
"kaa-san I saw four of them go off in that direction and the other two I lost track of them." Karin said with a scared look on her face.
They were startled when they heard explosions and jutsu's be shouted. The battle started to get closer to the hiding spot they were hiding. Karin's kaa-san now sensed that the situation was becoming dangerous. Karin's kaa-san told her to get her things and start running towards Fire country.
They needed to try crossing into the border. Before they were killed in an accident by a jutsu or by mistake. As they were reaching the border a kunai flew past them and hit the ground. Karin's kaa-san saw this and grabbed her daughter and told her to brace herself. Powering up her chakra threw her as far as she could. When the exploding tag went off, the shock wave caused Karin to fly past the border into fire country. While Karin's kaa-san flew past the border but was seriously injured. Ten minutes later Karin started to wake up just to find herself being treated by a scary looking person wearing a mask.
"Who are you?" As she looked from side to side. "Where am I?" Then she looked for her kaa-san when she spoke again. "Where is my kaa-san?" She fires off her questions in rapid succession.
After a few minutes of silence the Anbu finished healing the little girl. And then she began to speak.
"I'm an Anbu from Konoha and you are in the Land of Fire. As for your Kaa-san, well I'm sorry to say, but we are only keeping her alive to let her say her last words to you." The Neko masked Anbu said to Karin in a monotone, as she put a hand on her shoulder and with a half ram seal they shunshin in a swirl of leaves. Not even a second later they were next to the mother and fellow Anbu.
"Ka-ka-kaa-san, please y-yo-you can't le-le-leave me alone." Karin said while sobbing. "How am I to survive?" She finished saying with a sniffle.
"I'm sure these Konoha ninja will take you back with them. You are special after all Karin." Karin's kaa-san said as tears were falling from her eyes.
"Maybe we can save you if we get you back to their village." Karin said with tears in her eyes.
"No Karin the explosion, broke one of my ribs and punctured my heart. I'm only alive because they are keeping me alive. I don't have long but here are a few scrolls for you." Karin's kaa-san slowly handed over to her daughter as she began to speak again. "They have blood seals and our clan is the only one that can open them. I left a letter and notes to guide you just in case this happen." She paused to catch a breath before continuing to speak.
"I-I-lov-love you Karin, and I wished I would have been able to see you grow up. But I guess life had other plans for me. Come closer my dear." Karin's kaa-san said, as Karin got closer to her kaa-san, giving her a kiss on the forehead.
"Now Karin, I need to speak with the person in charge here. The neko masked Anbu did some silent hand signs. And in a puff of smoke, a man with gravity defying hair with a dog mask with Anbu gear appeared. He saw the injured mother and asked her.
"What is so important you needed to talk to me about? The dog masked Anbu asked as he waited for her to speak. It took a few minutes before the injured woman was able to speak to him, about some important information.
"Can you please tell your partner to leave us? What I'm about to tell you needs to get back to your Hokage." The woman said, as seriously as she was able too while trying to stay conscious.
The dog mask Anbu agreed to her request. He gave a few hand seals to the rest of the team. Then he did a few hand seals and put up a privacy jutsu. Then he told the injured woman to go ahead and speak her mind.
"My name is Akahana and the girl is my daughter Karin. We have been on the run from Kumo ninja's for the past month. My husband stayed behind to sacrifice his life to give us a better chance to survive. From there we were trying to make it to Kusagakure. But on our way there we had many close calls. We were also chased from time to time. By bandits trying to make us into slaves. We have been trying to get to Kusagakure for protection since our clan was destroyed. So many years ago. Cough, cough, Cough. "My time alive is running short. My daughter is special and she might get our clan's Kekkei Genkai. Please have the Hokage protect her as one of the last of our clan." Akahana said she was about to continue speaking, till she was interrupted by the dog masked Anbu when he asked her his question.
"What is this clan name you speak of that is so important?" The masked Anbu asked her as waited a moment for her to answer the question.
"We are from the Uzumaki clan. I'm sure that there are not many of us out there. And might be in hiding from the world. But we will not die out so easily." She said when all of a sudden Akahana started to cough uncontrollably.
After a few minutes she was able to compose herself. "Please when I move on to the afterlife. Take my body and get whatever secrets out of it. Whatever secrets you find please give it to any member of the Uzumaki clan. Then have someone burn my body please." She begged before having a coughing fit.
The Anbu agreed with her request. To tell the Hokage everything. The dog mask Anbu released the privacy seal.
"May I speak with my daughter one last time I don't have long." She asked as tears began to leak from her eyes.
The dog mask Anbu nodded. Not long the little girl was next to her mother crying her heart out.
"Kaa-san, p-p-please don't die ka-ka-kaa-san." Karin could only sob. "Don't worry Karin these ninja's are taking you somewhere else, if anything you will be protected." Karin's kaa-san began to cough more.
"I love you, Karin and I will always be watching over you from the afterlife. Please never fo-or-g-get it." Karin's kaa-san slowly closed her eyes and let the darkness take her.
The little girl began to scream for her Kaa-san to open her eyes. She beg for her not to give up, that there was a chance for her to survive. After a few minutes of crying and trying to wake her kaa-san. It was too late and was already passed away since she closed her eyes.
The dog mask Anbu walked over to the little girl. Did a hand seal and did a genjutsu, which Karin quickly fell asleep and was caught by the Anbu. He placed her on the ground. Then he pulled out a storage scroll. He rolled it open. Then he went and brought the dead body over. Then with a hand seal and the word "kai" and with a puff of smoke the body was stored away.
Inu picked up the young Uzumaki and put her over his shoulder. He gave a discreet hand sign, and his team appeared around him. They waited for his next orders.
"Neko, and I will be heading back to the village. I need to take her back with me and report this to the Hokage. The rest of you, keep patrolling the border. If anything important happens you know what to do." Inu said to the rest of team Ro.
"Neko, Do not speak of this incident to anyone. The Hokage will for sure call this a S-Class village secret once he learns of this. And I'm sure I didn't have to tell you what will happen if you do." Inu said to her as she waited for her next orders.
"Alright Neko you ready to leave?" Inu told Neko as she kept her vigilance around the surroundings.
"Hai Inu-senpai." she said before they left in a swirl of leaves.
Konoha - Hokages office
The Sandaime Hokage has been feeling disturbed from all the chaos that has happened to the village. It has been bad news, after bad news, it only so much can an old man take. And from the reports he has been getting it doesn't look so good. He has been deep in thought about many troubling things. Uchiha Itachi, Danzo, the villagers miss treating Naruto. And many other important things that most people can't understand, if you're not a village leader. As the Hokage was still deep in thought a knock was heard at the door.
"Enter!" The Hokage said as he blew out a puff of smoke.
"Hokage-sama, we just received a message from Inu. It said on the scroll Hokage's eyes only." the chunin said, placing the scroll on the Hokage's desk.
"Thank you. You may leave now." The Sandaime Hokage said while he massaged his temples.
While the chunin bowed and left the office. The Hokage began to do some hand seals and placed his hand on the desk. A privacy seal was placed to make sure no one could see or hear inside the Hokage's office. As the aged Hokage took a sip of his tea. He began to unseal the scroll to read the troubling news.
Message Scroll
Hokage-sama,
We were coming back from our mission near the borders of Kusa & Taki. We stumbled into a situation that piqued my curiosity. We began to watch a conflict between two minor ninja villages, to do battle on our borders. On my whim I told the team to standby
and gather any valuable information. While watching the teams of Kusa and Taki battling it out.
In the confusion of all that we saw a civilian mother and daughter trying to get away from the battle. Before I was able to give any orders. A kunai and a paper bomb went off near them. Sending both mother and daughter flying into our borders. Me and my team quickly rushed over to see if anyone was ok from the explosion.
The little girl had some bumps and bruises but was ok. The mother on the other hand was caught by a projectile that fatality wounding, but surprisingly held on to life so she could have last words with her daughter. Neko did some medical jutsu and helped keep her conscious as we waited for her daughter to get to her. Hokage-sama, she told me they were full blooded Uzumaki. And that her daughter could explain better the situation they were in till that point. We should be back in the village in a day or two.
Anbu code name: Inu
When the Sandaime finish reading the letter. The Hokage knew right away that his troubles might have just gotten a lot worse. There was no way he could turn away an Uzumaki. And with their own local Uzumaki being an outcast. And by bringing back the Uzumaki clan this will bring a world of new headaches. And this can't be kept in secret, if Naruto would find out that there is actually a Uzumaki clan and we kept it from him. He would lose trust in the village. I guess there could be no harm in telling him about his mother. And the importance of keeping this a secret. But maybe with this we are able to change his lifestyle and his way of living. Guess I'll have to get Jiraiya to come back to the village as soon as possible. I'm going to have to check the will of Kushina and see if she was able to appoint a godmother for him, other than Jiraiya. The Sandaime got up and walked over to the window. Can't make all the decisions on my own, without his godfather's say in all of this. He thought to himself till he heard a knock on the door.
"Enter" The Hokage said where he stood with his hands behind his back, looking over the village.
"Greetings Hokage-sama, did you wish to speak with me?" The Uchiha Matriarch said, giving the Hokage a small bow.
"Hai, please take a seat and make yourself comfortable." The Hokage said while still looking at the village. The Sandaime took a deep breath and turned around to take his seat before speaking. "Mikoto-san, I want to give me condolences for the loss of your husband and clan members. If you need any help from the village please let me know and I'll try to help as best as possible." The Hokage said as he gave a sad look.
"Thank you Hokage-sama, if the Uchiha clan need any assistance. We won't Hesitate to ask." The Uchiha Matriarch said in thanks to the elderly Hokage.
"What happened last night at the compound for this act of horrific violence to have occurred? The Sandaime Hokage asked as he gave her a piercing look.
To be honest last night after finishing dinner I was waiting for the family to get back home. When I heard screaming and yelling and the sound of battle. When Fugaku got home and asked where was Sasuke at? I told him he stayed late to training at the school training ground. He sighed in relief. He made a Kage bunshin and sent it out to gather information. He quickly told me to go to the dojo and wait for him there. So I hurried to get there when all of a sudden, I felt pain and I blacked out. That's when I woke up at the Konoha's Hospital. She finished explaining what happened that night.
The Hokage during her explanation was listening carefully to see if she suspected anything from the council. It seems someone knew something and intercepted her from getting killed. By knocking her out and putting her in an abandoned house saved her life. Now the question remains who knocked her out and how did they know this was going to happen. The Hokage thought about this carefully.
"So how is Sasuke doing? Is he getting better by any chance? The Hokage asked as he took a sip of his tea.
She took a sip of her tea, while she thought for a moment before speaking. "He is doing better, but his heart is broken because Itachi torture his mind to the point to almost killing him by accident. I don't know what type of message Itachi was trying to give to Sasuke. But it scares me the path that he might take into the darkness. I hope that I'm able to guide him in a different direction. My son is like a blank canvas, anyone could sway an artist into being good or bad." Mikoto said as she recollected her conversation with Sasuke.
"I see, I have confidence that he will be able to overcome this trauma. With the help of his family and friends. May I suggest some counseling, maybe that will let him get his troubles out of his systems. The Hokage said, trying to give some advice to the Uchiha Matriarch.
"Thank you again Hokage-sama I will keep that into consideration." The Uchiha Matriarch said, giving him a smile.
"Mikoto-san, I haven't told anyone about the information I'm about to divulge with you. I found out that one of the Uchiha male was married secretly with a non-clan member. They were fortunate not to be recognized as an Uchiha. And that is not the half of it, he has two daughters. The oldest her name is Kato, Rin, she is 13 years old and is a genin as well. She hasn't awakened the sharingan yet. Then we have the youngest, her name is Kato, Aika. She is 7 years old and she is going to begin the academy this week. I was told by the wife that her husband wanted to keep it a secret from the clan since they both fell in love with one another. So to protect his family he told his wife to give their daughters her family's name. Do you understand why I asked to speak in private with you Mikoto-san." The Sandaime Hokage while eyeing the woman evenly.
"I see." was all the Uchiha Matriarch said.
"I was hoping to keep this from all the council members. I want to let the girls grow up to think that they are normal people. Till the time comes if they are able to awaken her sharingan. Then you and their mother are able to explain why it had to be done for their own protection." The Sandaime Hokage explains his plan, and to see if the Uchiha Matriarch would agree to that.
"Before I could see Fugaku not agreeing with any of this. But I understand that we are not many and if we could live on with a different surname than so be it if they choose. I never guess there were people from the clan that wanted this type of change after all. For a person to live their life as an illusion. To live a double life must have been difficult, and very depressing. Now the person that was taking care of them has died. Leaving the family in a very bad situation." Mikoto deduce seeing the Hokage nod in response.
"Mikoto-san, I wanted to ask you for a favor. I was wondering if you would be able to take this family into the Uchiha compound. By doing so you are able to give the girl's mother a job. She will be able to help you out with the rest of the babies and kids. You could alway hire some genin for a D rank mission. This should make it easier for you and to be able to help out the girl's genin teams with some income." The Hokage asked the Uchiha Matriarch as he waited for her reply.
The Uchiha Matriarch thought about it for a moment. And then she realized that there was no one who could oppress her. This could be the perfect opportunity to make changes to the clan. I will have to write down some ideas and go from there. The future could look bright for the clan.
"After thinking about it carefully Hokage-sama, I will accept them moving into the compound. And if they by any chance awaken their sharingan. They could choose to change their family to Uchiha. And all the other things you said, Hokage-sama, were really good ideas." The Uchiha Matriarch told the elderly man.
"I'm glad that this meeting went so well. I was kind of worried about the decision you were going to make. Otherwise this would have become a problem in the future. And the last thing I need is to bring the village council into this matter. The Hokage said as he stood up from his seat and walked over to the window to look at the village.
"You are right, Hokage-sama. Clan matters shouldn't be the concern of the civilian council. If that is all, may I leave Hokage-sama, I have other matters to attend too." The Uchiha Matriarch told the Sandaime as she gave him a small bow and left the office.
"Kami, one appointment finished. Another few more to go, it is already becoming such a tiresome day. And my day is only getting started, hopefully I won't receive any more bad news. I need a vacation and spend more time with my grandson Konohamaru. That would be a wonderful idea let see if I could put that plan into motion." The Sandaime Hokage thought to himself.
The Hokage went back to get started with some of his paperwork. The best plan before the next appointment is to work on the paperwork as soon as possible. Just in case the paperwork multiplies like rabbits if he lets it get out of hand.
Forest near Naruto Hideout
The other day, Naruto was misunderstood by the Hyuga guard. Naruto woke up pretty damn sore from his tenketsu being shut down. Naruto got ready and made his way to his secret training area near their hideout. He needs to begin his workout before starting his training in controlling his chakra. That was the key to his biggest problem to be able since he had more chakra than most ninja.
Once at his training ground Naruto began to do his warm-ups followed up by his workouts. He did this for a few hours as he built up his strength and stamina. Not long after, Shisui came out of the hideout to instruct Naruto in a special taijutsu style. He wanted his apprentice to learn since it was a unique speed combat style. Shisui had him practice the kata's slowly, so he could get used to the movement of the fighting style.
"Shisui-sensei, once I learn this style am I able to learn more taijutsu styles and incorporate them?" Naruto asked while practicing his kata's.
"To answer your questions, yes it is possible to learn more taijutsu styles. And yes it is possible to mix different taijutsu styles. You could always master that one taijutsu style, making it as precise and polished as possible. Also you could learn parts of any two to three different taijutsu styles and mix it in with your original one. To become a great ninja you could learn three different one separately at a chunin level and learn as you grow in battle what suits you best." Shisui told his young apprentice as he watched him go through his kata's.
"So when do you think I'll be ready to spar with you Shisui-sensei?" Naruto asked as he slowly repeated his kata's.
"Naruto-chan I've already told you when I see that you're ready. That will be the day I will train you like an Anbu member. Think of the training as a life or death situation. It is the fastest way for your fighting instincts to develop, no mercy no surrender. This is to get you ready for the real threat that looms in the shadow and outside the village. Naruto-chan I want to give you a chance to survive any confrontation. So don't start complaining when the time comes cause I won't have any sympathy try to remember that Naruto-chan." Shisui said with a smirk and an evil gleam in his eyes.
Naruto could only glup for the foreseeable future. Shisui knew that Naruto was going to receive the beating of a lifetime. Even though the blond is not looking to get his ass kicked. The rush of an actual fight is too exciting for the young blond. So Naruto gave a look of intense determination and vow to himself and he would do his absolute best when the time came up.
Once Naruto was able to finish his training for the day. He began to practice the speed of his hand seal to be able to perform ninjutsu faster. The only ninjutsu he is able to perform are the two out of three. The Henge and Kawarimi, are the most useful that any kid will ever need. The third one is the clone jutsu but Shisui-sensei told me that I won't be able to do it right since I have too much chakra to ever properly do it. I would need a higher base chakra clone that would be easy for me. But for now I won't have to worry about that jutsu. In the meantime till the day I graduate from the academy.
They both were walking back to their hideout. While Naruto was hoping to make his food since he was hungry from all the training. And then he would clean himself off from all the sweat and grime so he would be able to take a nap so his body could rest for a moment. Shisui on the other hand could look back on the day. When Naruto unlocked his chakra, and the amount this young kid has.
Flashback
"Today Naruto-chan we are going to unlock your chakra. This is going to be important to be able to do jutsu. I believe that you would be able to handle this. Most children are not able to unlock their chakra, and the reason is they are not strong enough. Or their chakra pathway needs more time to develop, to unlock it then.
I need you to sit down cross legged and copy what I'm doing with my hands. Then I need you to stay still and concentrate and focus for an energy that will come from your belly. And once it unlocks I will teach you an important jutsu that will help you get around in the village I'm sure of it." Shisui-sensei said as he tried to describe the feeling that Naruto would be looking for.
"Hai Shisui-sensei!" Naruto yelled out in excitement to have the chance to learn a jutsu right off the bat.
So for an entire week Naruto keeps doing this exercise with the supervision of his sensei. Now naturally Naruto doesn't have any patience, and was beginning to lose his temper. But luck for him his sensei understood this and told the young that he believed in him. And that he should never give up no matter what. This acknowledgement gave the young blond the needed determination to succeed.
When Shisui looked up at the sky to gage the time of the day. He felt a tiny spark of chakra beginning to slip through Naruto pathways. He waited patiently for their goal to be completed with Naruto unlocking his chakra today. Then out of nowhere a powerful amount of chakra exploded pushing Shisui back for a moment. A smile broke out on Shisui's face knowing that Naruto was going to be able to do this.
"Congratulations Naruto-chan you are now able to use your chakra." Shisui said as he walked over and patted the young blond on his head.
"Thanks Shisui-sensei this wouldn't have happened this soon if it wasn't for you. I'm just so happy I was able to do it, since you believed in me. So sensei what new jutsu you're going to teach me!" Naruto jumped on his feet full of excitement ready to get started.
"Henge no jutsu!" is all Shisui said.
Flashback End
"Naruto-chan, are you ready to start the academy?" Shisui asked the young blond.
"Hai, sensei. I'm so excited to meet new people and to learn as much as possible." Naruto said with a beaming smile.
"Alright Naruto, I give you a mission to perform there. Keep your eyes and ears open for anything. Keep a notebook with you. And write down names, subjects, quirks, and keep track of the instructors and watch out they don't try to hurt you either." Shisui told Naruto in a serious tone.
"Hai sensei." The young blond said as he waited for his sensei to speak again.
"Naruto-chan you stink!" Shisui said while pinching his nose as he ran away laughing at his apprentice.
"Why you!" said the blond as he chased his sensei back into the hideout.
