Chapter 12M

May stepped into the Accuracy room, and saw a woman waiting in the middle. She smiled, and introduced herself.

"Hi, I am Ace Trainer Mary. You're the new challenger, right?"

May nodded, then said "Can we begin?"

Ace Trainer Mary smiled, and summoned a Skitty. May waited for Brendan to throw out a pokemon, and eventually, he tossed out the Radots.

May quickly realized something dangerous: she had no clue what (M)Radot knew. Praying for a good move, she pulled out three fingers. (M)Radot seemed to get ready, but was suddenly knocked to the ground by Skitty's Fake Out. Neither his move nor (B)Radot could use their moves.

May sighed, then held out three fingers again. That Fake Out was powerful, but it only worked at the beginning of the fight.

Green orbs suddenly came from the Skitty, flowing into (M)Radot. Absorb, May thought. Of course. She quickly sighed relief. There was a way to heal.

Skitty used Tail Whip, reducing defence. May at first didn't think much of it, knowing that Seedots had enough defence to take that. But then, she remembered that Ralts didn't have nearly as much, and the Tail Whip was much worse for her. She quickly whispered "Heads up, just got tail whipped."

Knowing that Absorb was the best move at the moment, May kept her fingers out, showing that (M)Radot should keep using Absorb. As the orbs flowed into (M)Radot, May observed the Skitty starting to tire. The absorbs were doing some actual damage.

The third time (M)Radot tried to use absorb however, it didn't go so well. Skitty rushed forwards, tackling (M)Radot. As (M)Radot flew backwards, May realized that (B)Radot had also been flung away, with a much higher force. (M)Radot went crashing into the wall nearby, and was knocked out. May recalled the Radots, and Brendan threw the Treekip pokeballs.

May needed a powerful move quickly, so she held out three fingers for Leafage. (M)Treekip rushed forwards, and sent leaves forwards quickly. The Skitty was thrown into the ground, and the swirl eyes of fainting appeared.

Victory! May shouted in success, and recalled (M)Treekip. She knew that she would need to heal the Treekips and Radots. She quickly asked if she could leave to heal, and Mary said "Yes, you won't have to fight me even after you leave."

May quickly ran out of the gym, into the pokemon center.
