Buck had been on his way to a doctors appointment because he had a cough that he couldn't get rid of. He had called Diaz and told him that he was going. The doctor had prescribed him a medicine to help get rid of the cough and gave Buck the paper so he could go fill it at the pharmacy. He had parked his car in front of the pharmacy and then went inside and filled it and then almost made it to his car and that is all he remembered. The owner of the pharmacy had then noticed Buck's car still sitting out in the parking lot so he called the cops. Athena then was called to the scene and she then noticed the familiar car. She had to make a visit to the station so she could tell the others. Diaz had known the look Athena had when she walked in. Bobby had greeted her when she walked towards them. "Have any or you seen/heard from Buck this morning?" she asked. "Last time I heard from him was when he said he had a doctor's appointment this morning." Diaz said. "The owner of the pharmacy noticed Buck's car still out there as of noon so there is a chance that Buck was kidnapped earlier."Athena said. "How? How could Buck be kidnapped?" Hen said. "I really don't know, but he was kidnapped." Athena said. Diaz had been quiet when he heard the word kidnapped so he had disappeared into the locker room into a corner. Athena then told the others that she would keep them in the loop if she heard anything. Chim had then noticed no sign of Diaz 30 minutes later. "Hen, have you seen Diaz?" he asked. "No, the last time I saw him was when Athena was here." she said. "He wouldn't go far, I know he wouldn't." he said. He then walked into the locker room and noticed Diaz in the corner, trying to hold back his tears. "Diaz, why are you hiding in here?" he questioned. "I don't know, I was so upset when I heard the word kidnapped and I just froze, I didn't know what to do." he said. "Athena said she would keep us all in the loop." Chin said. "You sure?" he questioned. "Yes, I am sure she said that." Chim said. He then got out of the corner and walked out of the locker room. Buck had then woke up and didn't know where he was. It was a dark hole and his hands and feet were bound up and was hanging from the roof.. He had then felt the brisk cold air against his chest, so he had figured his shirt got ripped open. The brisk air had then gone through again and this time it was hurting his chest, so he had possibly been beat and whipped. Chim had called Maddie and told her what was going on so she could keep up. Meanwhile, Buck was still in the dark hole, still confused on where he was. He had then heard a faint noise come from above him, he didn't know what it was, so he ignored it.

He then went unconscious again. Diaz was getting frantic after there was no news. He had been missing for maybe 4 hours now. The spot Buck was in was a dark warehouse, there were doors but they were bolted shut. Buck had woke up again and was starting to hurt more, the ropes were cutting into his wrists and feet and the injuries to his chest were hurting more and was starting to bleed. He had then succumbed to the darkness because he had felt a sharp pain in his neck. Athena had then found the owner of a warehouse that had a background of kidnapping. She had thought Buck would probably be there. Buck had been missing for 15 hours now. She had gone ahead and called Bobby and told him that they possibly found out where Buck was. Athena gave Bobby the address and then hung up. "Lets go." Bobby said. "Where?" Hen questioned. "Athena called, she said they possibly found out where Buck was taken." Bobby said. Diaz then hopped in the truck and Chim and Hen in the ambo. Athena was already there at the warehouse and waiting for Bobby and the others because the doors were bolted shut.

She had then heard the sirens so that meant they were coming. They then halted to a stop and Athena said, "Hurry, the doors are bolted." she said. "Alright, we're coming, Diaz, grab the bolt cutters, Chim and Hen grab the medical bags and stretcher." Bobby said. They all then grabbed what they had to grab and ran over to the door. Diaz then put the cutters against the bolts and cut them. The door then came open and then Athena and a few other cops went inside and searched the building. The warehouse had also had a basement so Athena went down and didn't expect to see what she saw. She saw Buck hanging from the ceiling, wrists and feet bound up. "Down here." she said. Chim and Hen were halfway down the stairs and that's when they saw what Athena saw. "I don't have a knife on me, the scissors won't work, where's Diaz?" Chim said. Diaz had just come down the stairs when he heard what Chim said. "I'm right here." Diaz said. "You said you had a knife right?" Chim asked. "Yeah." Diaz said. "Cut Buck down and hurry, the ropes are cutting into his wrists." Chim said. Diaz then cut into the rope with a few tries and softly laid Buck down on the ground and took in the injuries he had to his wrists and his chest. He then took a step back and let the others work. They all knew Buck had injuries to his chest, and possibly his back, wrists and feet but they didn't know what he had internally. Hen had already placed the monitors and the IV on Buck so they didn't have to later. Diaz then noticed the mark on Buck's neck. "Chim, look at this mark on his neck." he said, pointing to it. "Hen, check his SAT levels." Chim said. She then looked at the monitor and noticed the elevated SATS were at 70 and falling. "Sats are 70 and falling, we need to intubate quickly." she said. "Hurry, because he was injected with something that is causing his airway to close." Chim said. Hen then grabbed the ET tube and carefully inserted the tube down so she did damage his vocal cords.

The bag was then attached and then she gave it to Diaz so he could start pumping. The Sats then went into the 80's and stayed there. They then eventually needed to insert another line in case he coded again. They were then ready for transport so Bobby carried down the backboard and then set it on the ground. They all then carefully rolled the backboard under Buck and then carried it up the stairs. They were then loaded in the ambulance and Chim and Hen both hopped in the back and it left Diaz frozen. He didn't know what to do since the back of the ambulance was full. He then got in the truck and he froze and never made eye contact with anyone. He was eventually to go to the hospital later but he was having 2nd thoughts about it. He was thinking about going out of town somewhere, but he didn't know where. Meanwhile, Chim and Hen had just unloaded Buck off the ambo and filled in the doctor and nurses and then went back to the ambulance.

Maddie had already been at the hospital because Bobby had called her, so Chim and Hen just waited for Bobby and Diaz to show. When Bobby showed there was no sign of Diaz, Maddie was confused on why Diaz was not here when he is usually here for one another if they are injured/hurt. Diaz had told Bobby that he had something else to do and he would get there when he had time. But what they didn't know is that Diaz and Chris were going to a cabin in the woods, to where they had no interaction. The others had then got an update on Buck, the doctor had said Buck would probably be on the vent for a short while with antibiotics until they could get the substance out of his system since it was not fully out. Maddie and Bobby had been the only 2 that noticed that Diaz never showed. Bobby had tried to call Diaz, but there was no answer. He had then decided to go to Diaz's place to see if he was still there. When Bobby pulled up, he saw no sign of his car so that meant he was gone without a note. He then went back to the hospital to tell the others and Maddie had volunteered to stay the night. She then was led to Buck's ICU room by the doctor and she walked in and sat down in a chair that was closest to the bed. She then eventually fell asleep within the next hour and didn't wake up til that next day. Meanwhile at the station, the others were all quiet, they were so lost on why Diaz left without a note. Chim then went by and then noticed a note sticking on the side table that said, "I'll be back soon, don't know when I will be back, sorry for not telling you all."

Chim then took the note to Bobby and showed him. "Where'd you find this?" he questioned. "I found it on the little side table outside, it was placed under the plant." Chim said. "I am assuming they went to Texas, but at the same time, I don't think they did." Bobby said. "You think they went somewhere up in the woods?" Chim questioned. "They probably did, but we'll just give Diaz some time to see if he comes back." Bobby said. "Alright." Chim said. He then walked into the locker room and placed his bag inside. Meanwhile, Maddie was still in the hospital when Buck reached the 2 week mark of being in the coma. He was off the vent at the almost 2 week mark, so he was moved to the non rebreather mask. She had to be back and forth between the call center because she still wanted to work to get her mind off of things. The others would come by here and then to see how she was because they had still heard nothing from Diaz. Back at the cabin Diaz and Chris were at, Diaz had noticed that Chris was not his normal self. "What's wrong Buddy?" he said, crouching down to his level. "Why can't we go home?" he said. That moment when Chris said that, it got him thinking, he had left his friends with no explanation and never showed at the hospital when he said he was going to. "Well buddy, it's hard to explain, Dad just needed some time with you." Diaz said. They then hugged and Diaz got up and then walked away, Chris had opened a door to him that he never saw. It had got him thinking about home and how he had shut everyone out for 2 weeks. He had then decided to go home after 3 weeks. Buck had woken up at the end of the 3 week mark from his coma. Maddie had told him about everything that has happened and when she told him Diaz left, that broke him. He was never there by his side when he was in the hospital. Diaz had made it home and Chris was happy to be home because he had missed the familiar smell. Everything was then unpacked and put away and then Diaz settled down on the couch after a long 3 weeks. He was then thinking about when he was going to see Buck.

Buck had been discharged the day after Diaz made it home. Maddie had decided to stay with Buck for at least a night in case something was wrong. She had still been there when the afternoon came, so Diaz had driven over to Buck's house and noticed Maddie's car sitting outside so that gave him the perfect time to talk to her. He then walked up and knocked on the door, Buck was taking a nap, so that gave Maddie to open the door. When she opened the door, she didn't expect to see Diaz standing there. "Eddie, what are you doing back?" she asked, while closing the door and stepping outside. "Well, um the day we found Buck; I had felt empty, I froze there and I didn't know what to do." he said. "We all froze, I get it that you were worried, but why did you run away?" she questioned. "I don't know, I wanted to shut everything out, try to collect my thoughts." he said. "Buck was wondering where you were when he woke up." she said. "He was?" he said. She then shook her head yes. "I didn't have good service in the woods, so I wasn't able to be in contact with you all and I felt kind of guilty about it." he said. "But the others don't know I am back except for you." he said. "Why don't you try to go to the station and see if they're there, they are on shift." she said. "But, how am I going to tell Buck? Isn't he inside?" he asked. "Yeah, he is, but he's asleep." she said. "I'll be over here after work, so you can come later if you want to talk to him?" she said. "Yeah, that'll work." he said. Diaz then started to walk away and Maddie said, "And Eddie, I'm glad you're back." "Thanks." Diaz said. He then got in his car and she went inside. He then drove towards the station and noticed the others were gone on a call, so that gave him time to walk up the stairs and go inside.

He then walked up towards the kitchen and sat in one of the chairs and waited til the others got back. The others then eventually got back and started talking about the last call. Bobby had walked up the stairs and noticed Diaz sitting there. "Eddie? What are you doing here?" he asked. "Maddie told me you all were on shift, so I figured I could come here and talk." he said. "Look, I've come here to apologize, I know I acted dumb and didn't let you guys know I was leaving, I just needed some time, I closed the door to my friends, and I know I messed up." Diaz said. "We figured we could give you some time, let you process everything, we knew you were upset about Buck, we were to, but now look at him, he's awake and now home after 3 weeks in the hospital." Bobby said. "I just froze whenever we found him, I froze, I didn't know what to do except to just stand there and not help you guys." Diaz said. "We all knew you needed some time to process everything that happened that day, we needed to as well it was tough, but we made it through." Bobby said. "It was tough on all of us, even Maddie." Diaz said. "So, on the other hand; when are you going to come back?" Bobby asked. "I could start back up tomorrow if you want me to." Diaz said. "Alright, that'll work." Bobby said. They both then stood up and shook hands and Diaz was glad to be back. He then walked down the stairs and snuck out before the others could see him. He then pulled out his phone and texted Maddie, "You still up for tonight?" he then got a reply almost instantly, "Yeah, he was awake when I left, and I get off at 3; so I can go to the store after and get what I need to make dinner." "Alright, that'll work." he then put his phone away and drove towards home. Later that same day, Diaz drove to Buck's house and then got out and knocked on the door. Maddie was busy cooking dinner so that left Buck to open the door and he did not expect what he saw on the other side. He then gave a look and then shut the door. "Buck, why did you just do that?" Maddie said from the kitchen. "Why is he here? Why?" he said. "He literally just got back YESTERDAY, and that is how you're treating him?" she said.

"Was he here when I was in the hospital? No, so now all of a sudden he just shows out of the blue?" he said. Maddie then set down her knife and walked towards the door. When she opened it, she saw Diaz driving away. "Buck, I can't believe you, I'll cook dinner and then leave." she said. "Mads, don't leave." he said. "Buck, do you not hear yourself? You shut your own damn door on Diaz, he was coming over tonight to apologize for not being there when you were in the hospital." she said. Meanwhile, Diaz had reached home when his phone rang, he then noticed the number calling was Maddie, "Hello?" "Eddie look, I didn't expect that reaction from Buck tonight, I honestly thought this would go better than that." "Look, what's been done is done, Buck doesn't accept me anymore, so I'll just expect that." "You don't understand, Buck was just frustrated on why you were back after all this time, just give him some time, he'll be back to normal." "When is it normal for him? Oh I don't know it'll be a good couple months until normal comes for him." "Anyways, I better get off of here." he then hung up and then went inside. He immediately went to his bed and hid under the covers and tried to hold back the tears, but he couldn't stop them. Meanwhile, Buck had fucked up big time. He had shut the door on Diaz and never let him inside. He had then decided to drive over there and see if he wanted to talk. While Buck was driving over to Diaz's house, Diaz had decided to reach in his medical cabinet and take a bottle of pills. He had enough of all this trouble. He hadn't taken the pills quite yet when Buck reached his house. The door was unlocked when Buck walked up so he just walked in. "Diaz? You here?" he said. He then heard mumbling coming from the bedroom. He then walked in and noticed Diaz sitting there on the bed with the pills in his hands. "Eddie, don't do this now, please." he said.

"Why? You shut the door in my face and make me the bad person." he said. "Look, I know I shut the door in your face, I was frustrated on why you were back after all this time." Buck said, trying to hold back the tears. "Then what are you doing here?" Diaz said. "I came here to apologize, I felt guilty for shutting the door in your face." Buck said. He still had the bottle in his hands. "Eddie, give me the bottle, you don't need to be doing this." Buck said. He then ran to the bed as fast as he could and grabbed the bottle out of Diaz's hands and threw it out the nearest window. Diaz then started yelling and Buck then started to soothe him. Once Diaz was calmed enough, Buck stepped out of the room and pulled out his phone and dialed Bobby's number. Bobby had been on shift when Buck called, "Buck, what's the matter?" he questioned. "When does Diaz start his first shift back?" Buck asked. "Tomorrow, why?" Bobby asked. "Well, I was coming over here to apologize about earlier when he was coming to apologize to me about being gone all this time, and I um." Buck said. "What?" Bobby asked. "I came over to Diaz trying to overdose, and I stopped him from doing it but he is calmed now but I don't know what else to do." Buck said. "Try to talk to him, try to communicate." Bobby said, running down the stairs. "What are you going to do?" Buck asked. "Buck, I am on my way; hang tight." Bobby said. "Ok." Buck said. They then hung up and Chim had noticed Bobby running down the stairs. "Why the rush Bobby?" Chim asked. "Chim, you're in charge until I am back." he said. "Where are you going?" Chim said. "To take care of something." Bobby said. Bobby then grabbed his keys out of his bag in the locker room and then ran to his car and drove off. Buck was trying to get Diaz to talk to him, but he got nothing out of him. He had then just walked into the living room when Bobby walked in. "Did you get anything out of him?" Bobby asked. "No, I tried, but he's just frozen there on the bed and not speaking." Buck said. "Is he breathing?" Bobby asked.

"He is, but he's not talking." Buck said. "Here, let me go in and talk to him, stay here." Bobby said. He then walked in and noticed Diaz in the same position he was. "Diaz, talk to me." Bobby said, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Buck?" he said. "No, Diaz, it's Bobby." Bobby said. "I want Buck so I can tell him I'm sorry." Diaz said. Bobby then walked out back into the living room and noticed Buck sitting on the couch in a daze. "Buck, Diaz wants you." Bobby said. Buck then got up and went back into the bedroom and sat on the edge of the bed. "Eddie, I'm right here." Buck said. "I'm sorry about not being there when you needed me most. I shut everything out, I just froze." Diaz said. "Look, what's been done is done, we're going to go all past that." Buck said. Buck then started to rub Diaz's back to soothe him to see if he would fall asleep. He then eventually fell asleep and Buck quietly walked out of the room and shut the door. "He's asleep, finally, he kept saying sorry over and over and I told him we're going to go all past that." Buck said. "Buck, thanks for calling me and telling me; he might push back going to shift for at least for another couple days until he's in the right state of mind." Bobby said. Bobby then left and Buck had sat down on the couch until Diaz woke up. Diaz then eventually woke up 3 hours later and then went onto the couch and laid his head in Buck's lap. After about a couple days, both Diaz and Buck started working again and Diaz had surprised the others. They had wondered where he was, and he told them he had been back for a week now. Everyone had been finally working together again and with no empty holes inside.
