Diaz was late to work because he was dropping Chris off, and got a late start. He had to go back home and get something because he forgot it. Diaz had then been messing with his phone because he was messaging Buck to tell him he was going to be late. That was then he all remembered and everything went black. The car had flipped into a ditch and he was pinned somehow against his truck. Buck and the others were in the kitchen while Bobby was starting breakfast, and that is when the bells rang. They then loaded into the ambulance and truck and drove off. The first one to notice the familiar truck was Bobby. The call had been a single vehicle. The trucks then halted to a stop and Bobby said, "Buck, grab the crowbar and jaws." Diaz's truck had flipped on the driver's side so Hen or Chim had to climb through the passenger's side window. Hen was the one to be elected to go through the passenger's side window, and with that she did with the bag. "Hey Cap, he's pinned against the drivers side door somehow." she said. "How is he?" Bobby asked. "He's got a possible concussion, broken elbow, Sats are normal for now, but I don't know how much time we got." she said. "The console is pushing against him, that's what it looks like." Buck said from the outside. "We're going to have to break the windshield and somehow push the console towards us." Bobby said. Hen then placed the neck brace and then checked his Sats one more time.

Hen had attached just the pulse OX because she didn't want all the cords getting in the way. "Cap, his Sats are dropping, we have to hurry." she said. Buck was working as fast as he could getting the console off of Diaz. They also had to be careful of his right elbow because it was broken. "Chim, get the stretcher, you guys would just have to go; we don't have much time." Bobby said. Chim then grabbed the stretcher and put it next him and grabbed the backboard off of it. Diaz was then free and Chim then brought the backboard over and then stuck it through the windshield since it was broken. Chim and Hen moved Diaz onto his side until Buck had placed the backboard underneath him. The backboard was then placed so Chim and Hen rolled him back onto the board. The board was then lifted through the window with Buck and Bobby on the outside and Chim and Hen on the inside. The backboard was then carried to where the stretcher was waiting. Diaz was then placed on the stretcher and then was in the back of the ambo in a hurry. Everything was then attached to him and his Sats were still falling. "No breath sounds coming from the left." Chim said. Bobby then closed the doors and then the ambulance then drove off. "He's got a tension pneumo." Hen said. Chim then reached in the bag for the needle and then placed it in between his left rib and then let the air escape. They then made a splint for his elbow because they still needed to do that. They then arrived at the hospital and the doctor and nurses were waiting. They were then filled in and Diaz was wheeled into the room. Buck and Bobby had then arrived and were in the waiting room. Chim and Hen had put their stretcher back in the ambo and then went into the waiting room to greet Bobby and Buck.

Hen was right, Diaz had broken his right elbow/ arm. His Sats were also still normal but it was unknown for how long that would last. The doctor had then filled in the others about the situation he was in like he had the broken elbow/arm and would be in the cast for 4-6 weeks, he would possibly be moved to the vent due to his Sats, etc. They were then led into his room and Buck was the first one to walk in. He then took in the cut Diaz had on his forehead which was stitched, his right arm laying on a pillow, the non rebreather mask covering his face, and the monitors beeping up and down. Buck was already staying the night and the others knew it. After Day 2, the stats were normal. Buck was back and forth because he wanted to keep himself occupied. The doctor had also said the elbow wouldn't require surgery because it wasn't that severe. After a week, Diaz was still being stubborn and was still in his so-called "coma" a couple days before the 2 week mark, things took a turn. His Sats were so low that he was now required a vent. The others would come by here and then because they were all worried. The doctor was then worried that Diaz was at risk for possible pneumonia. But it was likely it was going to happen. After about maybe 6 days as Buck counted them, Diaz was finally cleared to come off the vent because his Sats were staying up due to the antibiotics that he was given. Buck was the type that he couldn't just stay in one room, he had to go back and forth.

It had been 3 weeks since the accident, 3 weeks since Diaz had been stuck in the uncomfortable position he was in. Buck was also smart enough to bring clothes from Diaz's house so he could change out of them and not be stuck in the hospital gown. Buck was growing tired of Diaz's elbow resting on the pillow, but it had to be rested on there due to it being broken. Buck had been sleeping the time Diaz had woken up. Buck was also the type that was a deep sleeper and didn't hear a single thing. Diaz then took in the sleeping Buck that was lying on the couch. He had then also known that his right elbow was lying across a pillow, so he also knew that it was broken. He remembered very little from the accident but that was usual in those types of things. Buck had then woke up 45 mins after Diaz woke up. "So you were that tired?" Diaz asked. "Eddie?" Buck questioned, tiredly. "Yes? I am alive." he said. Buck had then finally rubbed his eyes until his vision was clearer and noticed Eddie lying there. "God damn it Eddie." Buck said. "What'd I do now?" he said. "Well, one is that you woke up when I was asleep." he said. "Buck stop it; you're always finding a spot to sleep." he said. Diaz had then stayed in the hospital for another couple days and then come back in 3 weeks to see if his elbow/arm were healed in the correct way. Buck had not updated the others in a couple days but he had something else up his sleeve. Athena and Bobby had invited Buck to a dinner party they were hosting. Everyone would be in the back, so they wouldn't see who was pulling up in the driveway/curb.

Buck was the first one to walk in because he wanted to surprise the others and got Eddie on in the plan. Luckily for Diaz, he had a sling to place his cast in. He had already been changed into the clothes Buck had provided for him. Bobby was the first one to see Buck and then greeted him. Diaz had been directly behind him. "Is it ok if I brought a lil surprise?" Buck said, mentioning Diaz behind him. "Chim, Hen, get over here." Bobby said. Chim and Hen then noticed their names were being called so they both walked to Bobby and then noticed Buck and Diaz. "What are all of you standing there for?" Diaz said. "It's just we're in shock to see you here." Chim said, giving him a hug and being careful of the sling. "It was my idea." Buck said. Diaz had stayed for a good 2 hours before he was starting to get tired. Fast forward to 3 weeks later, Diaz was due to get the cast off. He had then been cleared for full duty since his arm/ elbow were healed correctly. Diaz was then back to work after 4-5 days because he wanted to give time for his arm because he didn't want to rush into things. The crew was then all back together and it was all back to normal.
