Escape and Encounter . . .
Kaon
At the Decepticon capital, Cyclonus is getting the soldiers ready to attack the Autobots, while Megatron is overlooking the operations from the command center.
Compared to a human he looked like a thirty to forty-year-old man with long, taupe gray colored hair that reached to the top of his spine. He was wearing gray gauntlets that covered from his wrist to elbows and gray chest armor with a little bit of purple on it. The armor also covered his shoulders. He wore gray pants and gray combat boots. His eyes seemed to glow a bloody scarlet. The warlord had multiple scars on his face. Tucked under his right arm was a silver helmet, and attached to his right arm was a massive cannon that had a dark violet coloring with a gunmetal gray sight at the muzzle.
As the Leader of the Decepticons gazes out the window, Megatron wonders about how he will restore life to Cybertron after the Decepticons win the war, but he remembers the Allspark but Optimus sent it to unknown space, realizing this, he will have to leave Cybertron to find it, then he remembers his most loyal servant.
Megatron then turns to the console behind him and picks up a Cybertronian D-pad, he taps a few buttons before contacting Cyclonus.
"I am at your service, Lord Megatron." He says as he receives Megatron's call.
"Cyclonus, I hope you are enjoying taking command?" He asks.
"It's something that I do not take lightly, my liege." He confessed. "Why do you ask?"
"I will be in deep space for a time to search for a way to restore Cybertron. In my absence, you will maintain temporary command over the Decepticons. I trust you are up for this task, Cyclonus?" He inquires.
Cyclonus stands there, his eyes widened with shock and surprise as he takes this information in. He regains his composure and faces his master, ready to take this mission.
"I would be honored to have this opportunity, Lord Megatron." He humbly accepts.
"Splendid, and to prevent the Autobots from detecting my ship when I take my leave, you shall mount a full scale assault on Iacon to crush the Autobots." He orders.
"It will be done, my master." He declares.
Iacon, Autobot Central Headquarters
As Megatron sets off to search for the Allspark and the Decepticons mobilize to attack the Autobots, Optimus just finished explaining the mission from the Primes to his comrades who are still processing the information. Solar Flare, a woman with shoulder length golden hair and blood red tips, bright yellow and red armor, fair skin, fierce blue eyes, and holding her helmet under her left arm, decides to speak up to assess the situation.
"So, just so I can get it right, instead of going to Earth like we originally planned, we're going to help the people in another galaxy altogether to help this 'Republic' in their fight against these 'Separatists' and bring peace to their galaxy. And while we support them, they'll help us find a way to restore Cybertron?" She inquires.
"That about sums it up." Jazz says while leaning against a wall with his arms crossed.
Optimus decided to speak up, "But in order for us to help them we must gather our resources and recruit any Autobots scattered throughout the galaxies if we are to help them." He informs.
"But in order for them to accept our aid, I will travel to meet with the Republic first so they are able to know we're going to help them without seeing us as an enemy." The Last Prime finishes.
Elita lowers her head in thought figuring out what he means. "I understand. You must go to the Republic to negotiate about us joining their campaign against the Separatists first, and then we come in with reinforcements." She theorized. He nods in confirmation.
Suddenly, the proximity alert blares over the room and it stops as the monitor turns on revealing Quickshadow, a woman with a black helmet with a blue visor, with silver and bright blue mechanical armor bracers on her forearms and the gray fingerless gloves on her hands. On her body, she wore bright blue and silver armor, light gray pants, with silver metal shin guards, silver knee pads, black combat boots, a silver chest plate with the Autobot insignia on her chest, and azure blue winglike attachments to her back. Cyan blue eyes and fair skin, compared to a human she appears to be in her early thirties.
"Optimus," she says with a sleek English accent, "the Decepticons have just launched a full scale attack on Iacon. We've managed to keep them back but I don't know for how long." She informed him urgently.
"Understood, Quickshadow. Hold them off as long as you can, I will arrive shortly at your coordinates with reinforcements." He informs her. She nods and cuts the transmission.
Optimus turns to his comrades who all stand ready to fight. Knowing that his friends are ready, he nods as they head into the battle. As they head down the hallway, Optimus looks to Elita. "Elita, while we head to the battlefield, you must get our forces offworld as soon as possible." He orders, she nods in understanding.
Iacon, Launch Tower
The entire area around the tower has turned into a warzone after the Decepticons had arrived. Autobot forces managed to hold the line but not for long, for the main attack force was closing in.
Ratchet fires his blaster then looks to his comrades. "They've broken through the front lines!" He says.
Arcee holds her blaster up while she puts her left hand up to her comlink, "I've lost contact with the capital!" She says as Cliffjumper and Brawn fire at the Decepticon troops beside her.
Ironhide fires at the Decepticons. Wheeljack, with his faceplate out, looks back to his comrades. "There's too many of them!" He warns before turning back.
A Vehicon fires a missile and it hits the Autobot ranks causing some to lose their balance, one is launched in the air and lands on the ground, hard. Brawn looks to his comrades, "Stand fast!" He says sternly before getting shot next to his right shoulder, blasting him back into a barricade and falling to the ground.
Three Vehicons on a platform fire upon the Autobots below. One of them cackles, "Finish them!" He says as all three of them are shot one by one.
Optimus comes running in, his faceplate out, firing his blaster at incoming Decepticons. He jumps over an explosion while firing his blaster, lands rolling to a stop. Prime shoots a Vehicon to his left, turns, then shoots a Vehicon with a blue and white color scheme running at him in the shoulder before grabbing his chest plate, lifting him over his head then slamming him headfirst into the ground.
He turns to where he faces the incoming Decepticons and holds his blaster in both hands pointing it at the enemy. Optimus notices someone is missing from the battle. "Where's Bumblebee?"
Not too far away, Bumblebee, wearing yellow armor and helmet with his lower faceplate out, compared to a human he looks like a teenager with shaggy black and gold hair, fair skin and cyan blue eyes. Comes running in with two rapidfire pistol blasters in his hands, he then fires them at the Decepticons he comes up behind and jumps gaining momentum.
He barrels into two Vehicons from behind flying through the air, landing on a Vehicon, with a purple and gray color scheme, pushing him off the edge while he brings out his plasma cannon.
They land on the ground with Bee on top of him popping his head out of his socket. Bee rolls to a stop as the head rolls on the ground with wires sticking out of the base, Bumblebee stands and powerfully kicks the head at a Vehicon, with a red and white color scheme coming up behind Optimus, the severed head hits him straight in the face causing his head to jerk back as he falls to the ground while his blaster flies out of his hand.
Optimus raises his blaster when he hears the Vehicon grunt as he was hit in the head and looks back to see the Decepticon on the ground unconscious, then sees Bumblebee run up to him.
"Sorry I'm late, I hit a little traffic." He says casually.
"Get down! Incoming!" An Autobot soldier shouts.
They both look in the soldier's direction only to look in horror.
"Uh, Optimus?"
A Decepticon jumps in wearing dark azure blue armor with gold outlines alone the chestplate and clawed gauntlets along with purple and black outlines among the armor and gauntlets, a helmet with a four horned crown, a red visor with a metallic white faceplate, metallic white and red bracers, azure blue combat belt with light gray belt buckle, bulky white and azure blue shin guards, spiked knee pads, armored combat boots, blue and light gray combat bodysuit, eight barrel cannon on his right shoulder white and red bracers and holding a blaster in his left hand. He lands on a platform looking up to reveal that he is Soundwave, top surveillance chief and third-in-command to Lord Megatron.
"Decepticons…" he says in a menacingly monotone voice as Starscream slows to a stop and glares at Optimus then Shockwave comes up and points his phase cannon at the Autobots, "Attack!" while Decepticon flyers and ground troops close in.
Optimus knows if the Decepticon's top lieutenants are here it means that they're here to finally crush the Autobots once and for all. He knows if the Autobots are to survive, they must leave now.
"Autobots, fall back! Get to the tower!" He says walking backwards as he fires at the Decepticons while the Autobots retreat.
Shockwave fires his phase cannon at the Autobots then looks to Starscream, "Destroy the launch pad! Let none escape!" He says as he points his blaster arm towards the Autobots. Starscream and two other seekers jump off the ledge before activating the jet boosters on their backs, flying towards the tower.
The Autobots arrive at the launch pad and make their way towards the escape pods. "Cybertron has fallen. Get to the escape pods." Optimus says before slowing to a stop, "There are other Autobots scattered across the galaxies," he says pointing to the pods then lowering his arm. "We must reach them if we hope to survive." He informs them as Ironhide gets into a pod bay, the pieces of the pod build itself around him as the others head to their pods. Bumblebee stops next to him. "Optimus, this is our home. We have to fight for it." He says with determination.
Starscream and the seekers are flying up towards the top of the tower. Optimus sees them as they fly over.
"We will fight on, but we must find refuge and allies first." He raises his left arm and shows a hologram of a planet. "I found a planet that's well hidden. Takodana." Optimus says as he and Bumblebee look at the hologram. He turns off the hologram then puts his hand on the young scout's shoulder. "You and the others will travel there and establish a temporary base for us." Bumblebee contemplates this, feeling sad that they have to leave their home. "Once you've gathered the others, you'll join me." He states, "You must protect the planet and each other." He continues, "If the Decepticons find it," Bee's eyes widen as he looks up at Optimus, knowing what would happen if the Decepticons found them. "Then our people are truly finished. Now go!" He says as he points to Bumblebee's pod bay as Bee nods, accepting the mission. Bumblebee turns and breaks into a run heading for his pod bay.
Starscream and the seekers fly upwards into the canopy of the tower and through the openings on the launch pad. They backflip mid-air, once they get high enough above the tower they each fire a barrage of missiles. The missiles go around the launch pad and hit the stalk of the tower, taking out the structural supports. The tower then begins to topple.
Optimus slightly loses his balance for a moment before supporting himself with his left arm as the tower falls. Bumblebee's pod builds itself around him, "Good luck, soldier. I'll buy you some time." He says as looks at Bee's pod as it's propelled into the air by the launch thrusters. The Last Prime then notices one of the seekers firing at him as he flies near the tower.
He then fires at the seeker, with the blaster now in his left hand and eventually hits him as the rest of the pods escape. As the tower continues to fall, Optimus runs towards the edge and jumps. As he plummets, he swings his right arm, grabbing the other seeker's shoulder as he flies by.
As they both twirl in the air towards the ground, Optimus manages to get a grip on the wing on the seeker's back and then leaps off letting the seeker crash into a bridge.
Optimus lands on the ground rolling to a slide and shoots a Vehicon to his left running at him in the chest, having him fall to the ground. He stands, lifts his right leg and kicks a Vehicon away, then stands on his right knee and shoots another incoming Vehicon to his left straight in the head causing his head to jerk back as he falls to the ground. Optimus reels his right arm back then thrusts his arm forward grabbing the head of the Vehicon he kicked away, shoots him straight in the chest before lifting him in the air then slamming him into the ground. He rolls to a stop and shoots a Vehicon in the shoulder before leaping into a spin wrapping his arm around the Vehicon's head and lands on the ground and shoots a Vehicon to his left. He then turns around and hurls the Vehicon in his grasp to the side. He then quickly turns his head to see Soundwave with Ravage by his right leg.
"Ravage, attack!" He says. Ravage roars before running towards Optimus, he attempts to shoot Ravage down but he dodges to the left before leaping at him. Optimus is pushed down to the ground onto his back, Ravage falls slightly to his right, Optimus uses his right hand to try and hold him back but Ravage jumps onto the Prime's chest snapping his jaws at him while Optimus tries to hold him back with both hands, then he reels his right arm back and punches Ravage in the jaw sending him towards Soundwave and Shockwave who slowly walk towards Optimus. Ravage growls in anger while Optimus gets up and into a combat stance, as several Decepticons charge at him he sees that he's surrounded, but Optimus perseveres with determination as the Decepticons close in all around him.
Bumblebee can only look in sadness as he sees the tower fall and Optimus get captured. But he knows if the Autobots are to survive, they must endure.
A few day after the Fall of Cybertron, Bumblebee is flying towards Takodana hoping that the others will make it here in time, especially his mother, Solar Flare. As he gets closer to the planet, the pod starts to burn up in reentry as it enters the atmosphere. But little does he know, he was being followed by Blitzwing, an Elite Decepticon Seeker, who had followed the Autobot scout all the way from Cybertron, determined to find out where the other Autobots were hiding.
Takodana
Meanwhile on the planet's surface, there is a castle at the edge of both the forest and a large lake. The owner of the castle is currently looking through a few of her storage containers, this woman is Maz Kanata.
Kanata wore clothes she knitted herself: colorful socks, baggy maroon pants held by a leather belt, a dark gray vest over a blue-green sweater, and a simple gray cap. Attached to Kanata's cap were large, variable lens corrective goggles, and her silver-buckled belt suspended an assortment of technology, including a compact blaster pistol. The pirate also wore a beaded necklace and a large number of rings and bracelets, such as the Bracelet of the Sutro.
Maz Kanata is four feet tall and more than a thousand years old, and Maz has gained a reputation as a "pirate queen." Born over a millennium before the conflict between the Republic and the Separatists, Maz is a Force-sensitive female who learned to live and thrive in the criminal underworld of the galaxy. A diminutive being with vast experience at surviving in the underworld. From her castle on Takodana, Maz has seen galactic powers rise and fall and felt the Force ebb and flow, seeking an elusive balance between darkness and light. She has given many young smugglers a start by offering credits, equipment or connections, and helped many an old friend rediscover a lost path.
She then hears the sound of the sound barrier breaking and looks up to see what looks like a pod burning up in reentry, Maz uses her glasses to zoom in and sees that this pod has a design that she hasn't seen for 20 years. The pod crashes by the mountains farther into the forest. Maz heads there to check it out.
Bumblebee climbs out of the pod and checks his surroundings, he sees lush foliage and tall trees with sunlight shining through the canopy. Bee then checks his star map and sees that this is the correct planet.
He then remembers what Optimus said to him, to find somewhere for the Autobots to have as a temporary base. Bumblebee turns and walks through the forest. As he treks through brings out a faceplate from his helmet that covers his entire face and it seems to share the resemblance of an Earth wasp with photoreceptor lenses.
He scans the terrain and he zooms in on an old mining trail and quickly analyzing it, a map pulls up on the receptors. Bee follows the trail and eventually finds the mine, though abandoned it still looks structurally sound. Bee retracts the faceplate and the lower faceplate and smiles proudly.
"When mom gets here she's going to be in for a surprise." He says, knowing his mother will be kind of shocked by where their temporary base will be.
As Bumblebee is about to scout the area he hears jet boosters roar through the air meaning only one thing, Decepticons.
Blitzwing comes flying in from behind a mountain. Bumblebee sees him and looks in horror. "Oh no." He says grimly.
Blitzwing brings out several missiles from his bracers, armed and ready. Bee brings out his lower faceplate and braces for impact. Blitzwing fires the missiles, when they hit the explosion wrecks anything the scout could use for cover. Bumblebee is blown back by the explosion and flies into a building.
Blitzwing loops around preparing to engage the scout up close. Bee pushes a large chunk of debris off him and looks to where Blitzwing is. Blitzwing comes in at full speed, he reaches out his left clawed gauntlet hand as he glares at the scout. Bee readies himself but Blitzwing grabs him, Bee grunts as he pushes him into the rock wall.
"Did you think you could hide?" He says both threateningly and rhetorically.
Bee pushes his hand away and kicks him in the face, causing his head to snap to the right. Blitzwing glares at the scout and flies to get in front of him. Bee lands on the debris littering the ground and brings out his faceplate. Bee grabs a beam and tries to slam Blitzwing with it as he lands but he uses his right arm to block it and shoves it away. He then reels his arm back and tries to punch him but the scout blocks it. Blitzwing swings his arm backwards like a club, knocking Bumblebee through the air and he lands on the ground. He looks up and glares at the Decepticon.
"Now you'll die screaming." He says, bringing out his blaster and aiming at the scout. Knowing he won't go down this easily without a fight, Bee gets up and charges the Seeker, barreling into him and knocking him down. "Like your friends-!" He says, being interrupted at the last part.
Bee slides to a stop, as he runs he brings out a dagger from his right bracer and jumps to deliver the fatal blow. Blitzwing activities his jet boosters flying under the scout letting the blade stab into the ground and twirls in the air gaining his bearings. Blitzwing flies straight at Bumblebee, grabbing him by the neck before he can use his dagger to try and stab him again.
As Blitzwing flies higher with Bumblebee, he slams him into the rock face pushing him into it as they go up. Bee slams his left arm into the wall causing him to stop and slip out of Blitzwing's grip and grabs onto his right leg. He begins to climb and secured himself in his back, he brings out his dagger from his left bracer, but the blade is turned around, he stabs the blade twice into the back of his chestplate, the second time the blade goes through his left shoulder plate. Bumblebee then jams the dagger against his wing before stabbing it into his left jet booster and twists the blade damaging the booster. He pulls the blade out causing the booster to malfunction and they both fly out of control, Blitzwing tries to get the scout's right hand loose but Bee grabs the front of his face partially blinding him. Bee redirects him to the mountain wall and jumps on the cliff face as the seeker hits the wall, as Blitzwing tumbles down the rock face Bumblebee slides down to a ledge before jumping in the air as the seeker faceplants into the rock, he then lands on the edge of the cliff on all fours.
Blitzwing, now angered, brings out his blaster and fires rapidly at the scout. Bumblebee puts his arms up blocking the shots. As he backs up, unaware of how close he is to the edge, his right foot slips but Blitzwing grabs his chest plate before he could fall then brings them face-to-face while holding him over the edge.
"Tell me where your friends are hiding." He growls, getting very annoyed with this scout.
Bee glares at the Con. "I'll never talk." He says defiantly.
Blitzwing smirks evilly behind his oxygen mask/faceplate, knowing this scout should have chosen his last words better. "Is that right?" He asks rhetorically, smiling sinisterly behind his mask as he raises his left arm and brings out a tool from his bracer that comes out under his hand, and it has a thin needle come out. Bee's eyes widen in horror knowing what he's about to do, he then looks back at Blitzwing.
"Then let's make it official." He says sinisterly, Bee grunts in pain as he stabs the tool into his neck straight into his larynx. The scout glares at the seeker before he twists the needle in farther causing his head to tilt to the side, he groans in pain before he ruthlessly pulls the needle out causing some blue blood to spill out. One of Bumblebee's receptors comes up with a blue outline and it says 'SPEECH SYNTHESIS DISABLED' in red letters. Bee shakes his head wanting to scream in pain but couldn't as he grasps the puncture wound with his right hand while he claws at Blitzwing's hand with his left. Blitzwing just looks at the scout as he shakes off the blood with just a single wave of his arm. Seeing no further use of the scout he extended his arm out and let go of Bumblebee, letting him fall down the mountain. Bee tumbles down the side of the mountain hitting the side causing him to slightly spin out of control, he hits the ground before rolling down the slope and falls through the air, he then hits the ground hard to where the whole battle began. Lying helpless, Blitzwing lands and walks over to the scout as his shadow looms over him.
"Bumblebee…" he says as he reaches down with his left hand grabbing him by the throat and lifting up to arms length. "As a member of the Autobot Resistance, you are a traitor to Cybertron…" he lectures, unaware that the young scout clenches his left hand into a fist. "… and are hereby sentenced… to death." He finishes but then the teenager perks his head up.
He rips off some of the armor plating from his bracer revealing two missiles, Bee grabs one and stabs it into his chest plate causing it to beep rapidly, signaling that it's been armed and counting down, Blitzwing looks at it with eyes widened in horror knowing that he's a goner when it goes off. As he tries to remove it, Bumblebee grabs his arm with both hands, climbs his feet up his thigh and pushes himself out of his grasp, sending Blitzwing back two large steps as he lands on the ground. Blitzwing looks at Bumblebee before looking back at the missile as he continues to try and remove it. "No!" he says, worried for his life. Bumblebee brings out his plasma cannon charging it to full power. "NO!" He shouts, knowing what the scout is about to do. Bee narrows his eyes at him before firing at where the missile is on his chest plate. The resulting explosion pushes Bee back, when the smoke clears Bumblebee gets up and stands tall knowing he's done Optimus, the Autobots, and his mother proud.
He checks the wound on his neck and fixes it to an extent just until Ratchet can take a look at it. Later, he then builds a transmitter with the various parts lying about and sends his signal along with a message to any and all Autobots telling them to come here to regroup. After that he limps to a nearby lake, he makes his way to the edge of the water before falling to his knees. He leans forward propping himself up with his left arm before falling to the ground with the right side of his head submerged in the water. He opens his eyes and as his vision starts to get blurry, he sees a figure walking towards him but before he could do anything his eyelids become heavy and falls unconscious.
Elsewhere…
Optimus groaned as he slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he noticed was in the cockpit of the ship he used to come to this galaxy after he escaped from Kaon. Sitting up, he discovered that he appeared to be in the cockpit of some sort of starship. The controls were similar to the ship Wheeljack piloted, the Jackhammer as he recalled the Wrecker naming his ship. The crashed ship leads Optimus to remember all the events that happened prior and that he crash-landed on this planet.
Looking up, he saw that the canopy of the starship was destroyed, and allowed for Optimus to exit the craft with ease; however, ease might not have been the correct word because as soon as Optimus tried stepping out of the ship, his legs gave out beneath him and he fell to the ground and onto his chest.
Optimus groaned as he raised his hand to his head. "The landing may have rendered me unconscious for some time, probably being the reason I am unbalanced." He said to himself, Optimus decided to attempt to stand up again, however, more slowly this time.
Once he was on two feet again, he decided to take it slow and get his bearings. After a few minutes of adjusting, the Prime stretches to remain combat ready. With that out of the way, Prime decided to take a better look at his surroundings. The landscape of this planet appeared very similar to one of the environments that existed on Earth: the Savannah as Optimus recalled the name of. Tall grasses and wide planes as far as the eye could see, however, in the distance, he could see extremely tall trees with what appeared to be large pods hanging from them.
Reaching up, he removed the helmet he wore and brought it in front of him. The mouth guard was reflective enough for him to see that he had no injuries.
"I see you made it to this galaxy intact, Optimus." Said a familiar voice.
Optimus looked around for a moment before noticing his reflection was changing. He narrowed his eyes as the image began to change into the face of a familiar person, "Mirconus..."
"Yes," he nodded. "Are there any issues with your arrival so far?"
"No, there are none, Mincronus." answered Optimus, looking over his body once more.
"Good, though I sense you have something to confess." said the Mini-Con Prime.
"I do," confirmed the former archivist. "Upon my arrival, I took an unexpected turn through an asteroid field which led to me crashing my starfighter on this planet, and the flight data recorder was destroyed upon crash landing on this world."
"As you originally suspected Optimus, it would be easier to explain a crash landing on a distant planet than it would be to explain randomly appearing out of thin air." stated Micronus.
"Indeed, but what of my origin? What am I to say when I am asked which world I hail from?"
"The other Primes and I have discovered that despite existing for thousands of years, the Galactic Republic has not been beyond the reach of their galaxy." explained Mincronus. "About one-third of this galaxy remains unexplored, referred to as the 'Unknown Regions.' In order to maintain a temporary cover, Optimus, you are permitted to speak of Cybertron in its current location, in another galaxy altogether. Alpha Trion learned of your former refuge option, Earth." Optimus remembers his visit to the planet. Micronus continues. "The Primes and I learned of your visit to the planet, and we accepted the fact that you told them you were a traveler, exploring distant stars. And they gave you certain tokens of appreciation and a certain relic." He says, referring to the very thing that started their civilization. "After much searching, Alpha Trion has found it, located deep in the Unknown Regions. If the Republic asks if you know of a way to return to your home planet, tell them what you told me."
"I understand, Mincronus." answered Optimus, though he looked off as though troubled.
"You are troubled by the fact that you must lie to others of your origin." stated Micronus, figuring out what was bothering the young Prime.
"I am." Optimus nodded.
"Optimus, each of us must face a difficult obstacle in our life. Take Prima for example." Optimus was intrigued at the fact that even the first-ever Prime had to face a difficult task, "It was when Megatronus Prime killed Solus Prime, under Liege Maximo's influence, and became the first Decepticon. When Prima finally found him, the two battled to the death. Both were evenly matched and neither was not willing to give up. As time passed, Prima had finally come to the point that he had to destroy him." Micronus closed his eyes, "Prima never desired to kill someone who he considered his comrade and brother, as did none of the other Primes that remained, so instead of killing Megatronus, he was banished from our realm and exiled into a world between worlds where he could no longer harm anyone else. While Megatronus was innocent, a victim of manipulation, the damage caused by Maximo had been done and Megatronus had to be banished while Maximo was destroyed. Though Prima fell in battle against Maximo, the Prime of Lies was vanquished."
"I am sorry for your loss." Optimus apologized.
"There is nothing to be sorry for Optimus," assured Mincronus, "Prima fell defending those who could not defend themselves and I can say without worry that if there was another way to stop either Liege Maximo or Megatronus, he would have taken it."
"Each of us must come to face that task at some point in their life," the Mini-Con Prime stated. "Now it is your turn to face this task."
"I understand." Optimus says assuredly.
"I have to leave now, Optimus." Mincrous said as his image began to fade. "The Primes and I can only maintain a link with you for a limited amount of time. We will contact you later in the future. Be careful, Optimus."
"I will." Optimus replied. "Until we meet again, Micronus."
After Minconus's face disappeared from the mouthguard, Optimus heard the sound of twigs snapping, and looked into the direction of the sound. Placing his helmet back on, he clenched both his hands into fists and adopted a combat stance. Clenching his hands had caused his bracers to transform into gauntlets. Coming out of his gauntlets, two silver Cybertronian swords appeared. The bracers did not cover his fist.
Patiently, Optimus waited as whatever was approaching, his eyes narrowed cautiously as he watched what came out of the brush and it appeared to be an alien lifeform of some kind.
It looked like an Earth monkey; specifically, a lemur that was crossbred with a cat. It seemed to be anthropomorphic given that the anthropoid wore clothes and a hat.
Seeing the lifeform approaching him, Optimus noted how cautiously he moved when coming closer.
"Sir, are you alright?" Asked the lemur, from what he learned of Earth's languages, he was speaking in a Scottish accent.
Silent for a moment, Optimus deactivated his swords and gauntlets, adopting a more relaxed stance while his mouth guard slid back to expose his mouth. "I am, thank you for your concern."
"You seem to be in good physical health." Noted the lemur-like being. "Though you might have a concussion, you looked like you were talking to your helmet for a while."
"I apologize." Optimus says, bowing.
"There is no need to apologize, sir." Assured the lemur alien. "Though I believe it's best you have a doctor examine you to make sure it is nothing serious. My village is not far from here and I am its healer. If you would allow me, I can take a look at you and make sure you are in good health."
"Very well." nodded Optimus. "Please, lead the way."
"Follow me," requested the lemur and the two began heading in the same direction the lemur first appeared. As they walked through the fields, the lemur-like alien spoke up. "I do not believe I got your name, sir."
"Nor I yours." Replied the Prime, glancing down at the being.
"Of course, where are my manners?" realized the creature, "My name is Wag Too, I am a Lurmen. My people colonized this planet, Maridun."
"I am Optimus Prime, I hail from the planet Cybertron." Optimus introduced himself.
"'Optimus Prime?'" repeated Wag Too. "Might I say that is an unusual name."
"I have lived an unusual life, Wag Too." Replied the Prime cryptically as the two continued through the brush, heading towards the Lurmen settlement.
