Chapter 19B
Brendan took a step back. He had NOT been expecting this. The man in white stepped forward, determined. "Come with me, now." He put out a Koffing, and told it "Take the boy."
Brendan let May choose the pokemon to fight back, and a Koffing was chosen. It puffed out Poison Gas, which (B)Treekip quickly countered with a Water Gun. As it went out and doused the Koffing, (B)Treekip collapsed to the ground, poisoned. This wasn't good. While (B)Treekip recovered, the Koffing turned its poisons onto Brendan. He breathed a sign of relief that his sweater had been up, otherwise he would have just fainted. And May...
Brendan held four fingers, to strike with a Rock Smash. As it happened, the purple hue faded, signalling a recovery. This was surely from May's end, and Brendan almost breathed deeply in relief. He stopped because if he did that, he'd inhale poison.
As a trade of Tackles took place, Brendan shook his head. This man, through and through, was ready to hurt him if it meant getting him along. Brendan knew he would have to win, no matter what.
He held out three fingers, for Water Gun. Renewed with energy, (B)Treekip fired off a stream of water straight into the Koffing's face. It wobbled, then fainted.
"This isn't over, boy. We'll get you one way or another, you have my word!" With that, the man in white turned and ran.
