Chapter 22M

May frowned. These people were, without doubt, evil. Despite being spared before, she knew these people wouldn't be as forgiving. They did try to take his pokemon, after all.

As the three pulled out pokeballs, May grabbed the Radots as Brendan got the Treekips. Poochyena, Zubat, and Carvanha were May's foes.

May quickly realized a crucial weakness: all her previous battles she could instruct individually. Since she had two hands, she assumed she would command the Radots as Brendan controlled the Treekips. She raised her right arm, pointed at the Carvanha, and held out three fingers. Her left arm aimed at the Poochyena, three fingered as well. (M)Treekip fired a Leafage properly, but (M)Radot dashed to the Poochyena and used Absorb. May realized that (M)Radot had taken Brendan's commands, and was concerned. Would Brendan even notice, in such a situation?

A combination of Leer and Absorb battered down on (M)Radot, flinging him back. Things weren't helped when a critical Tackle rammed into (M)Treekip. (M)Radot was heavily wounded, and so Brendan needed to hold three fingers. May stayed firm in her choice from before, pointed at Carvahna. Her left arm shifted over to the Carvanha, and May's pokemon instantly took out the Carvahna.

May didn't have time to celebrate however, as a coordinated strike by the Poochyena and Zubat struck (M)Radot, and he fell.

May was worried. It was a 2v1 now, and she knew the Poochyena was close to fainting. But, she realized, she had been fighting disconnected from Brendan too long. They needed to coordinate, and she knew how.

"Poochyena's weak... who do I hit?"

One of the men in black laughed. "Go ahead, hit it. I can take you out once you do that."

May waited for a moment, then saw her arm aim to the Poochyena. She smiled, and aimed for the Zubat.

The Leafage struck, and fainted the Zubat. The other man laughed, and said "You're done for. Poochyena! Tackle."

All it did was stagger before fainting.

Author's note: Doing a 2v3 thing was tricky in logistics, perhaps I should've made it 2v2
