Riley pick up a nearby stone and tossed it in the direction of the young girl, hitting her in the back of the head.

"Hmmm..." the girl moaned rubbing her scalp.

"Hey, little girl—psst..."

"What?" the girl turned around angrily. Saw Riley and yelled, "What's the big idea!?"

"Ummm... Jack here said that—I'm- I'm- I'm a—witch... and that I- I- I have magic?!"

Jack turned "I never said anything about you being a witch"

"Oh Jack, it's so obvious though—boys' that have magic in them are called Wizards while girls that contain it are called Witches," Riley said, "Haven't you ever heard of the book series harry potter by J.K. Rowling?"

"No..." he started, but was cut off by the dark brown-haired girl.

"... and Riley's got some peculiarity in her too" the girl informed.

"Wh- what, I've got some sort of peculiarity in me as well?"

"Yes"

"Like that of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children?"

"Yes Riley"

"But- but I'm just- just an ordinary girl"

"No, no you're not... you are a very special girl"

"But- but- but- how- how do you know this about me?"

"Simple—I'm- I'm your sister and best friend, Riley"

"You- you are?"

"Yes Riley, my name is... Sophia, Sophia Anderson"

"But- but how—mom and dad never-"

"Our parents wished to be blessed with a baby for Christmas for so long that- once they got one—they were so happy, until one day; it was Christmas eve- I was asleep in my crib when... I heard- this sound coming from the living room; crawling out of my crib I entered the dark hallway, turning the corner I saw a man in black boots and a red suit... now I didn't know it at the time but I was looking at the one, the only: Santa Claus!"

Riley, her younger sister stared at her in awe, mouth hanging open, not saying a word as Sophia continued telling her amazing story.

"Anyway, he went about his work: filling stockings and putting presents under our tree when all of the sudden—I crawled over, and near his big, red bag sat a small, little toy bear... reaching for it, I tried hard not to make a sound... but that didn't last long; I tried to stand up, to grasp it from where it sat on the fireplace, but sadly I fell—crying out, hoping mom and dad would hear me... but alas they didn't; Santa, however, did... turning he replied '"Oy, vie"' in that Russian accent of his, anyway while trying to calm me down, he- he ended up giving me the bear say '"Here, a special gift from me to you eh'" he chuckled happily. After that—well... he said that I looked up at him... calling him '"Dada"' I think... and knowing him—he has a very soft spot for children..."

"So, he kidnapped you?"

She shook her head, "Mmm-mmm, not kidnapped—just- well, he thought I'd like to see the workshop... so he just took me on a little joy-ride"

"Ooh"

"Yep, I got to ride back in the slay with him all the way to the North Pole"

"Wow!" Riley gasped, "But what about mom and dad?"

"Oh them" she sighed heavily. "Well, when morning came and mom came in to arouse me. She was shocked to find one of the long sides of the crib was unlatched and found that I was gone..."

"Whoa"

"But upon checking the living room that found a sealed envelope and inside was a note that read..." Riley listened to her sister as she began reciting the contents of the note. "Dear the parents of Sofia Anderson,

You don't have to worry about your daughter. She must have crawled out of her crib last night, but I have her and promise to take good care of her; I left her stocking and presents under the tree so that she can open them when she gets back—I took her my workshop at the North Pole in case you're wondering, I was planning on returning her sometime last night but I sadly didn't get around to it—but I assure you I'll return her at my earliest convenience.

Sincerely,

Mr. C"

"Oh, good thing he left a note otherwise they'll think someone kidnapped their baby" Riley pointed out.

"Yes... North is very good about doing that" Sofia recalled.

"Okay now, about my peculiarly and magic skills...?"

"Oh... well, you know the main character from Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children"

"Yeah, he was able to see invisible monsters known as Hollowgasts or Hollows"

"Yes... and just like Jake we have a similar gift"

"...what...?"

"Well, we have the gift of Eternal Believement"

"Eternal Believement?"

"I know it sounds made up"

"You're tellin' me"

"Well it's not, and we are the only one in our family that have it"

"Okay..."

"It works like this: Similar to that of Jake's ability of seeing the Hollowgasts; Eternal Believement is a special gift that only a small few have; it's the ability that allows some to see all sorts of cool spirits, mythological creatures, and heroes... and as hard as we try to not, we can't help but believe in them and therefore we always see them... even the bad and creepy ones such as the Spirit of Halloween and The Day of the Dead—along with many others"

"So... that the reason I'm obsessed with the Witch Trials from Salem, Massachusetts"

"Yep"

"What about the magic thing?"

"Oh... I almost forgot; we have the ability to cast all sorts of spells"

"Ooo, what kind of spells?"

"Well... why don't find out?" She handed her younger sister Riley a wand. "Here"

"What's this for? This just looks like a stick or twig"

"Oh, you'd think that—but it's actually a magic wand"

"What are you getting at?"

"Don't you trust me?"

"Well, I don't know... we just meet—and now you're telling me that you're my sister?"

"I know it's must sound crazy, but it's true"

"Oh really?"

"Yes, why would I lie? Why would Jack-" Riley cut her off.

"Jack didn't tell me I had a sister. I'm telling you: he never mentioned it"

"Oh..."

"He also never mentioned anything about me being a witch"

"Or wizard!" Jack blurted out.

"Oy... Jack" North muttered.

"What? What did I say?"

"Wizards are male magic being such as Harry Potter, Ron Wesley, and Newt Scamander; Witches are female such as Hermione Granger"

"Ohh..." he stated, his white, pale, glossy checks suddenly reddened with embarrassment.

"Oh Jack, it's okay—let's just put that plan of yours into action"

"Okay," he smiled, his courage boiling over as he got his cool magic ready, twirling his hand around one another in a ball-like fashion.

"Whoa..." Riley breathed in awe.

"Okay now, take this wand, point it at the keys and repeat after me; Wingardium Leviosa—this spell will give you the power to levitate objects"

"Mmm okay..."

"... and Jack you'll use your wind to blow the keys towards us, so we can use them to open the cell door"

"On it"

"Okay, now on the count of three you'll both use the wind and Leviosa magic together, understand?"

"Okay," we both nodded.

"Okay, on three—try to be as quiet as you can so as not to draw attention to us"

We both nodded again. "Okay, one, two, three" as she said it we each prepared our equipment, ready to pounce.

Jack was the first to go, using his winds he blew, softy, lifting the key up off the hook.

"Okay Riley, you know what to do"

Pointing my wand at the keys She whispered shouted the Wingardium Leviosa spell—slowly the keys began to levitate; hovering at least five inches away from the hook.

"Now Riley, remember to commentate"

"Concentrate, right" she replied calmly as Jack's winds began to carry the keys closer to the cell.

"Good Riley, that's it..." she watched as the keys came towards her slowly.

"Got'em," she said, in a lower voice. Grasping them tightly in her hand, jumping up, she placed them in the door, turning it until she heard the clicking satisfaction of the lock breaking.

Satisfied with herself she turned and thanked Riley and Jack saying "You two make a pretty good team" before sneaking out of the cell.

"Come on sis" she gestured for her younger sister to follow.

"I can't believe it!" Riley squealed, excited running up to her. "I can do magic"

"I know, heard to believe"

"But how? How is this possible?"

"I'd be happy to explain it all to you, but later okay—now shh... we don't wanna get caught by the Dark Guardians Clan up there" she gestured her finger up towards the ceiling.

"Oh... right, sorry" following closely behind her sister.
