"Alright." Jack announced a little while later as he walked up to Bobby and Samantha, pocketing his phone. "They're sending the area surveillance footage to Mya now, and I have Sarah looking into every single place within 50 miles that has the capability to cut diamonds, with Myles checking each one out for shady business."
"If I was a thief, I would cut the diamond up into little diamonds as fast as possible, preferably last night, right after it was stolen." Bobby said, thinking about what he had just said.
"Let's hope not." Jack replied. "That would mean we're too late."
"Well, what can we do?" Samantha asked, waving to her detectives, then turned back to the agents.
Jack sighed. "Well, we have a few ideas, but it will take time to see if they'll pan out. I guess we'll have to wait and see."
Sighing, the detective nodded, understanding. "Well, if you think of anything, just let us know."
He slightly smiled at her. "Of course."
?-?
Mya frowned as she scanned the surveillance footage that showed the jewelry store's exterior. It was a fairly silent night, so there really wasn't much to scan. There were barely any cars in the entire parking lot.
"You doing any better over there than we are here?" Sarah asked, her hands moving faster than ever, a combination of typing on her computer, writing things down on paper and passing papers to Myles, who was temporarily stationed at the extra desk across from her so they didn't have to cross the room every single time they wanted to give something to the other.
"No." Mya replied. "Oh, wait." She said, her eyes wide as she stared at her screen.
"You have something?" Sarah asked, staring at her in anticipation as she stood up, still standing at her desk.
"Sorta." She replied, cocking her head.
"What do you mean by 'sorta'? Myles asked, over pronouncing the slang.
Chuckling at his mispronunciation, she waved them over. "Here. See for yourselves." As they walked over, she scrubbed the video back to the beginning of the interesting portion.
"Let's see what you got." Sarah happily said, rubbing her hands together as they walked over. Once they were there and ready, Mya played the video, the camera facing the back alley, where the perps broke into.
"The plate's taken off." Myles said, looking at the black SUV, its lights off as it drove up to the back of the jewelry store.
Mya nodded as the video continued with passengers getting out of the car. "And you virtually can't see the perps with those hoodies."
"Well, at least you know there's three of them!" Sarah commented. She received a glare in response. "What? You two don't like to see the positive in things?"
Shaking her head, Mya went back to watching the video, which was now at the point where the perps came back to the car. "Wait," she said, stopping. "Did that guy say something?"
"How can you tell? You can barely see anything of their faces." Myles asked.
"Yes, but you can see their mouths most of the time." She replied, scrubbing back and playing it slower. "Yep, he does say something, but I can't tell what."
"Well, you know who to send it to." Sarah replied with a smile.
Smiling back, Mya nodded. "Yep, I do."
?-?
"Ooh!" Tara happily exclaimed when she saw who the new email was from.
"What?" Josh asked, a bit scared to know what she was so excited about.
"Mya's asking us to see what's being said in this video from a jewelry store heist!"
He chuckled. "You would get excited about that, wouldn't you."
"And why wouldn't, why shouldn't I?"
Josh just shook his head, still laughing.
"I'll go send this off to Sue right now!"
"Why don't you go run over there right now and ask what you can do to help too?"
Tara glared at him. "If I knew you weren't being sarcastic, I'd do it."
"Of course you would."
"And you would too!" She exclaimed. "Tell me, do you hate working with your wife that much that you'd readily oppose work from our favorite FBI team?"
"Of course not!" He quickly replied.
"Good. Cause the way you were going on, it sounded that way."
"That's not true and you know it." He said, glaring at her.
"You know, she may not see it that way."
He stopped everything to stare at her. "You wouldn't dare tell her that version of the story."
"Wouldn't I?" She asked, picking up a sheet of paper off her desk. "Maybe this will convince her."
"What is on there?" Josh worriedly asked, standing up from his desk to try to see the paper more clearly.
Tara shrugged. "Something." She said, then stood up and started walking out of their office.
"Wait!" He called, running after her. "What is on there?" He asked, blocking her exit.
She shrugged. "Here. Give it to her yourself, I suppose." She said, handing him the paper and walking back to her desk.
Frowning, he turned the paper around to be right side up.
She shrugged as she sat back down, glancing at Amy to be sure she wasn't looking in their direction. She wasn't, she was too focused on her portion of the surveillance video processing. "It's Amy's surprise birthday party announcement. I was going to send it via email, but when this came up, I knew I had to hand it in in person. Then I'd get some juicy details about the case!" She said, turning to Josh.
He slyly looked at her as he walked back to his desk, setting the announcement on his desk. "Of course you would. Come on, get back to work!" He said, walking back to his own desk, placing the sheet back on hers on his way.
Chuckling, Tara did as she was told, silently jumping up and down that the two teams would work together once again!
