"Hey Sarah, you and Myles finish putting that list together yet?" Jack asked when she answered the phone a little while later.

"Uh, not exactly." Sarah replied. "There's a lot more than expected, and we were a little sidetracked."

"Sidetracked?" He asked.

"Yeah, uh, Mya found something and we were looking at it for a little while."

"What did she find?"

"Well, the video shows the car and perps, but the car doesn't have any plates and the perps have hoodies that cover their faces. Well, most of their faces. One says something, but we're not sure what. She sent it to Sue."

"Good, good." He said, distracted in thought. "Let me know if you get any other new information."

"Of course!" She replied, then the two hung up. "You have anything?" She asked her diamond cutting searching partner across the walkway.

Myles shook his head. All these people have clean records. And if they do have a soiled record, it's nothing pertinent, like parking tickets, things like that."

"You know, we didn't think of one angle we should have."

"What?" He asked with wide eyes, curious about what they missed.

"What if the diamond cutter wasn't a friend? What if they were forced, threatened, blackmailed?"

"That is an excellent point!" He exclaimed, picking up his phone.

"What're you doing?" Sarah asked, cocking her head and frowning.

"Picking up on your thought. I'm going to have officers follow up on your idea, do drive by's, walk ins, check up on the families of these people." He said, pressing a few things on his phone, then looking up at her and smiled. "Excellent job. I think we'll figure this out."

She smiled, proud of herself. They were going to catch this perp if it was the last thing she did!

Sue smiled as she walked out of her little office for the day to find Lucy finishing up a lesson with the kids. The kids hearing someone behind them, they all turned, the lesson being forgotten, knowing that if Sue was done, which meant that they were too. "Hey guys! Did you have a fun afternoon?" She asked.

Everyone chatted at once, telling Sue about what they learned. Meanwhile, Lucy's phone rang. She walked away to answer it, then walked back to the group when she finished.

"And then we learned about this HUGE bird!" Mellody exasperatedly exclaimed, stretching her arms as wide as she could.

Once she found a small opening, Lucy took it. "Why don't you all go into the kitchen? We'll be in there soon to make you all a after school/after work snack!"

"Yay!" The kids exclaimed, running into the kitchen.

"Hey!" Lucy exclaimed, walking up to her friend. "Tara just called me. Apparently she has a video from Mya you need to check out now. They need whatever it says as soon as possible."

She nodded. "I guess you'll have to make their snack alone."

Her friend nodded. "It would be my pleasure!"

She smiled. "Hopefully see you again soon!" She said, then turned back to her office hoping that this project wasn't going to keep both her and Jack busy all night long.

?-?

"So far, all diamond cutters and their families are present and accounted for." Myles announced, getting off the phone, where his contact just gave him an update.

"So it looks like my idea was a dud." Sarah sadly said, slumping in her chair.

"Not necessarily." Jack said, he and Bobby walking in. "They're only what, half done?" He asked, looking at Myles for the answer.

Myles nodded. "Less than. They still have a lot of people to check on."

"Even if you are wrong," Bobby added, leaning his hands on her desk to be more eye level with her. "It was a great idea, a perfect angle for these guys. We have to try every single one, even if 50 angles are wrong. One has to be right!"

She slightly smiled at Bobby's smiling face. "I guess you're right." She quietly replied.

"Yes, I'm right!" He loudly announced, standing up straight. "Now, while they're still checking, do you have any other angle ideas we should check on?"

"No, well, sorta, I guess." She replied, hopefully looking at Jack.

"You do know we're not mind readers." Jack reminded her after she just stayed silent and stared for a few seconds, staring off into space.

"Right." Sarah replied, looking down, then back at them. "What about, what about neighboring shops? They all would know that the diamond was there, and I'm sure knows about the layout, security and integrity of the walls better than any arbitrary thief. What if they, or someone they know stole it?"

"That is an excellent idea!" Jack exclaimed in excitement. "We'll run down every name in the strip mall. Great job!" He said, smiling at her, then walking to his desk.

Sarah smiled as she leaned back in her chair. It felt good to help them!

?-?

Sue squinted as she stared at the video. Before she sent it over, Tara had zoomed in and tried to improve the quality of the video, but the perps were moving too fast, and some of the mouth movements were lost in the movement. Still, she was able to see most of them, so if she could just figure out what was in the missing parts, she'd be able to figure out what she could see.

"If I was a perp that just robbed a jewelry store, what would I talk about?" She mused to herself. Maybe they would talk about what they were going to do with the spoils? Trying her theory, she tried to fit that concept into the mouth movements. They didn't fit. "What about talking about what they just did?" Trying to fit that into the movements was even harder. "What are you talking about?" She frustrated asked, lightly slamming the desk, her fingers catching the spacebar, causing the video to play from the beginning.

Not focusing on anything in particular, her eyes caught the first two words naturally. Curious if her eyes actually saw what she did, she replayed it, now understanding what was being said. This was not good. Not good at all. "I need to call Jack!" She exclaimed, scrambling for her phone.
