A/N: Sorry, this took so long but I will finish this story.
It had been two weeks since Shellington had disappeared. Dashi was glad that they could start searching for him now that the weather had cleared up. As she flew the Manta-ray the Dachshund spotted an island in the shape of a heart. After getting a closer look Dashi spotted the remains of the gup Shellington had been driving.
Totally forgetting to let the others know (Because the island made her think of other things) she landed to get a closer look. When Dashi arrived at the tree blocking the cave the Dachshund realized that she was hungry. Dashi picked out a long thin branch that wasn't attached and started eating it. Little did she know that a boy dachshund was eating the opposite end of the same branch.
A seagull saw what was happening with great interest. In fact, he had made the branch be in the shape of a spaghetti noodle. Neither dachshund noticed the seagull as the branch got shorter and shorter. When their noses met, they both yelped and jumped back causing the seagull to laugh. After a few awkward moments they started to talk.
"Well, that was awkward," Dashi said with her heart beating fast.
"Yea, my name is Buster by the way," he replied.
"My name is Dashi and I don't remember why I'm out here."
"Neither do I."
Since Buster had lost his way off the island, they on board the Octo-ray where they discovered that they were both Octonauts. Dashi couldn't help thinking how handsome Buster looked with his tan fur. It was only when they arrived at the Octopod that they remembered why they were out there. (Buster had been looking for Shelby.) Though they had forgotten where they had been and about the crashed gup.
That night another storm ragged for an hour. It wasn't till the storm passed that it was discovered that Kwazii hadn't returned. Dashi and Buster didn't even notice because they were too distracted by each other. Which meant the two wouldn't be getting any work done for a while.
"I hope we don't ever get like that," Tweak commented.
"It might be a dog thing," Bobble answered.
