Chapter 20:
It's been at least over 3 days since the incident with Charlotte.
Still hasn't said one word in what had happen.
Christopher had awaken up during the night.
Charlotte was having another nightmare, woke up.
Christopher sees Charlotte walking out of her bedroom.
He races towards his dads's bedroom.
"Daddy!"shouted Christopher.
Evan was out like a light for a moment.
Eddie groans for a moment.
Then suddenly he was wide awake with Christopher standing near his side of the bed. Looked at the clock-moans. "Christopher it's like 2 in the morning, what are you doing up so early?"asked Eddie.
Before Eddie could say anything.
A crash came downstairs.
Evan, Eddie and TK came racing downstairs in a flash of lightening.
Charlotte was standing in the middle of the kitchen.
"Charlotte, are you OK?"asked Eddie racing towards his daughter.
"Are you hurt anywhere?"asked Evan.
Charlotte just stares at them for a moment.
TK knew something was off with Charlotte.
"Charlotte, are you hurt anywhere"answered Evan walking towards her.
Charlotte takes a step back from the guys.
"Guys, Something is wrong"answered TK.
Charlotte throws a book at Evan arm.
"Hey"answered Evan.
Then does the same thing towards Eddie.
"Charlotte, stop"answered Eddie.
Carlos had awaken up-noticed that TK wasn't in the bedroom.
Goes downstairs sees the situation in hand.
"Charlotte, it's OK-your having a nightmare"whispered Carlos.
Charlotte whimpers.
"What's going on?"asked Jason he had stayed over in case that Charlotte needed him.
"Go back to bed, Jason"answered Eddie.
Jason sees that Charlotte was having another night flashes. Gently knelt down to Charlotte's level on the floor. "Charlotte, no one is gonna hurt you. your safe here"answered Jason.
"Jason, Why on earth would you tell my daughter that?"whispered Eddie.
Jason angrily turns towards Eddie Diaz. "Now isn't the time to talk about this matter in front of my adopted little sister"answered Jason-gently picking Charlotte up in his arms.
"Wait a minute, Jason where are you taking Charlotte?"answered TK.
"Upstairs to my bedroom, I used here"answered Jason.
Jason walking upstairs to his bedroom.
Eddie walked after him.
"My daughter isn't gonna be sleeping in your bed"answered Eddie.
TK and Carlos followed shortly.
Jason puts Charlotte down on a spare bed in his bedroom. "Charlotte, do you want to stay here tonight?"answered Jason.
"No! Charlotte is gonna sleep in my room"answered Eddie.
Jason points towards the hallway.
"Mr. Diaz you need to stop right now"answered Jason.
"Why! Charlotte is my daughter"answered Eddie.
"Charlotte is my adopted little sister, have to remember she was in an accident a couple months ago. Max, Sky, Francis, Nicholas, Alex and myself know what happen before she was moved to another foster home"answered Jason.
"Foster home, meaning Carlos and I right?"asked TK.
"No, another foster home before yours"answered Jason.
the next day
Charlotte had fallen asleep against TK and Carlos in their bedroom.
Jason had to leave early to go to work.
Suddenly TK and Carlos were awaken up from their sleep.
Charlotte suddenly raced towards the bathroom.
"Uh, Not again"moaned TK getting out of the bed.
"TK, go back to bed, I will check on Charlotte"whispered Carlos.
TK shakes his head. "I'm already awake"answered TK.
Both of them heading out of their bedroom.
When Charlotte came out of the bathroom, heads towards her bedroom. Crawls back to bed-curls against a pillow.
TK and Carlos were confused in what was going on with Charlotte right now.
"Charlotte, why are you back here in your bedroom?"asked TK.
Charlotte looks at TK and Carlos for a moment. "I needed to go to the bathroom, not allowed to sleep in other people beds"answered Charlotte.
"Charlotte what happen at your last foster home?"asked Carlos sitting down on the bed.
"We would be locked in our bedrooms, not allowed to sleep in the beds"answered Charlotte.
"Whose is we?"asked TK.
"Other kids who lived there"answered Charlotte.
"Was this before you were living with Reese and her boyfriend?"asked TK.
"Yes"answered Charlotte.
"What happen to the other kids?"asked Carlos.
"I don't know, was moved to live with Reese and her boyfriend Marcus"answered Charlotte.
"Then you were placed with us"answered TK.
Charlotte yawns.
"Charlotte, doesn't matter we love you very much. Can always come to us"answered Carlos.
