Chapter Three: Restoring Heroes
~A/N~ So here we go. Chapter Three. I hope you all like it.
Chapter Start!
Toshinori Yagi wasn't sure why Nezu had asked him to come to U.A. today nor why he was being so cryptic... well more than usual. He had been in there when Nezu's meeting with a winged boy and his mother started but took his leave rather quickly.
'I wonder if Nezu thinks this boy is a possible successor? Is that why he called me 'one of the reasons' or is he planning something else?' Toshinori wondered as he walked towards Nezu's office. He had just called him back for some reason.
"I'm back," Toshinori said as he entered Nezu's office.
"Ha!" Nezu all but shouted in laughter.
"Dang. I almost had you," Izuku groaned.
"You nearly had me a few times. Well played," Nezu replied before his attention turned to Toshinori. "Ah, perfect timing," Nezu's smile grew.
"How long?" Izuku asked.
"Oh almost five years now," Nezu replied.
"Damage?" Izuku asked.
"He lost his stomach, part of his intestines, and heavily damaged his left lung," Nezu answered.
"Sir, not to be rude but why are you telling this boy about my injury?" Toshinori asked.
"Why? Because we are going to see if he can heal it," Nezu replied. To say that left Toshinori shocked would've been an understatement.
"Five years is a long time. This will be the biggest test of it," Izuku said looking at his hand.
"You think he could heal me?" Toshinori asked.
"He's had no issues healing five others each with different injuries. Now I wish to test his time. How long can someone be injured and be healed," Nezu explained.
"I suppose," Toshinori replied.
"Shall I?" Izuku asked.
"Please," Nezu replied his smile not fading.
"This may seem odd but it's necessary," Izuku said as he walked up to Toshinori while slicing his hand open.
"My boy your blood seemed to be gold," Toshinori said seeing the golden blood ebb out of Izuku's hand.
"I'm aware," Izuku replied with a smile. "This may feel odd," he added as he placed his hand on Toshinori's side.
Toshinori wasn't sure what he had been expecting. The pain was not one of them. It wasn't intense pain but more of pressure pain. He could feel something pushing where his stomach should've been. It took another breath for him to realize that pain was his stomach reforming. This boy's quirk was working. His body was returning to normal. The wounds he suffered were ebbing away. All the pain that had become all but second nature to him was simply fading away.
"Oh, my," Toshinori vaguely heard a woman's voice as the boy's healing slowed.
As quickly as the pain started it was gone. He was whole once more. He was All Might again. "ALL MIGHT!" the boy screamed in shock falling back seeing the number one hero standing before him.
"I've not felt this good in years," All Might said flexing slightly.
"I would say his quirk worked perfectly. To the point even your eyes are better," Nezu spoke.
"My eyes?" All Might asked.
"Oh here," Nezu replied offering All Might a mirror. As the principal had said All Might's eyes were back to how they were before he saved the boy from the river.
'Even some of my grey hairs are gone,' All Might thought as he looked at himself.
"All Might," the boy muttered still looking at the number one in shock. "I healed All Might,"
"Yes, you did my boy," All Might smiled. "I'm not sure how I can thank you," he added.
"Autograph," Izuku said almost robotically. He still hadn't fully gotten over what he'd done.
"Of course," All Might smiled. The boy quickly pulled out a Notebook labeled 'Hero Analysis' and opened it to a blank page.
"Might I have a look at that," Nezu asked suddenly at All Might's side.
"Sure. it's nothing special," Izuku answered as he handed over his notebook.
"Special or not. When I see 'Hero Analysis' I like to look," Nezu replied starting to flip through the notebook as he returned to his desk. "Oh, I'm sure you'd love to get some food. You are free to leave Toshinori,"
"Don't mind if I do," All Might laughed loudly. "I've not eaten a proper meal in years," he added while leaving.
"This is particularly impressive. You mapped out several flaws of the heroes you've analyzed and even added suggestions of how to fix them," Nezu spoke reading page after page.
"I do believe you'd be able to help many heroes by giving them this information," Shota said reading over Nezu's shoulder.
"He even has a page for you," Nezu said pointing at Aizawa's page. Shota glanced at the page quickly then shrugged.
"I've tried cutting my hair before. I didn't like it nor did Emi," Shota said running a hand through his long hair.
"They're really just suggestions," Izuku replied.
"Come Monday I would like you to bring the others in if you please," Nezu spoke as he handed the notebook back.
"Yes sir," Izuku replied as he and his mother got ready to leave.
~Monday: With All Might~
All Might stood panting. He was bloodied and beaten but he had been victorious. He stood a fist raised to the sky as a helicopter flew overhead. For what had to be the second time in his life All Might had been pushed to his absolute limit fighting. It wasn't that his foe was strong like All For One had been. No, his foe had simply had so much defense and gotten so large.
He hadn't even expected the fight. He had just been walking through Mustufa when he heard the scream. As he always did he reacted instantly and found a massive figure standing over two terrified girls. As he charged he saw a third girl running towards them.
"Well fought," All Might turned to see Best Jeanist walking up. His fibers already wrapping up the massive villain. "What caused this fight?"
"He was terrorizing a few school girls. I interviewed and he attacked the moment he saw me," All Might explained.
"You keep looking back to the city. Did something catch your attention?" Jeanist asked.
"Yes," All Might replied. "I will investigate once the authorities get here," It took another hour for everything to be cleaned up.
~U.A.~
Izuku walked along doing his best to not seem nervous. Today was the first day of his new life. No more bullying from Aldera. No more lazy teachers who didn't 'see' Izuku getting bullied. And best of all no Bakugo Katsuki.
"I don't think Nezu told me where to go," Izuku said to himself as he walked through hall after hall. He wasn't even sure who his first tutor would be.
"Ah early. I like that," A deep voice spoke.
"I don't like be-" Izuku started to reply before he saw who had spoken to him. "Gang Orca!"
"It's Sakamata-Sensei at school," the Orca hero replied.
"But... When did you become a teacher?" Izuku asked.
"I'll be starting my teaching career next year," Kugo answered.
"Awesome," Iuzku said staring in Awe of the current number ten hero.
"Now then, we have much to cover let's go," Kugo commanded.
"Yes, Sakamata-sensei!" Izuku replied happily.
~With Mina~
She had been let go by the police after giving her side of what happened. She wasn't going to school today. "That was too scary," Mina said to herself. She had kept saying that to herself. She had just gotten in front of her friends when All Might appeared in front of her and sent the villain flying.
"Excuse me," Mina looked up to see one of the detectives that had spoken to her approaching.
"Did you have more questions?" Mina asked.
"Yes, I'll explain further after a couple of questions," the detective said.
"Ok," Mina replied slightly confused.
"Why did you run in? Surely you knew how dangerous that was" he asked.
"I didn't think," Mina replied with a shrug. "I saw some of my friends in danger and I just moved,"
"And do you want to be a hero?" the detective asked.
"Yes!" Mina said brightly. The detective smiled back.
"Why do you want to be a hero?" he asked.
"I want to help people. I want to stand up for the people who were bullied and couldn't stand up themselves," Mina replied.
"Interesting," the detective replied.
"Is that all?" Mina asked.
"Yes," the detective replied pulling out a card. "It's up to you but a pro hero is interested in training you. He asked me to question you so who he is wouldn't color your decision,"
"Who?" Mina asked taking the card. She took a moment to look at the card. It was blank save for a phone number
"You can call the number and set up a proper meeting should you decide to accept the training," the detective said. "Have a good day and stay out of trouble Ashido-san,"
~End Notes~ hope you enjoyed the chapter. Sorry, it's a little short.
