As the days went by the whole clan was quick to accept the new arrival. Redtail kits having clan-blood at least was somewhat better accepted than Firepaw it has also help them somewhat trained. Bluestar name Runningwind mentor to Foxpaw, Mousefur has Rosepaw, and Nightpaw was given to Darkstripe. It seems Bluestar wanted Longtail to wait a little longer to mature into the role of warrior. Tigerclaw suggests Darkstripe because he needed more supporters, and if there was one thing Darkstripe could do right was train loyal cats. Firepaw was still however left with no mentor but since he could hunt and fight, he was given more advanced training. Since Foxpaw, Rosepaw, and Nightpaw was more use to Firepaw training he was there often to give advice. Firepaw didn't want to give his training method away to Runningwind having been Bluestar apprentice he didn't trust him not to be in on the prophecy.
All of the mentors and apprentices were in a clearing surround by trees and the ground was red sand and dirt. The sandy hollow was a perfect place to train young cats. Firepaw through this would make a great place to train kits but unfortunately, the clan wouldn't allow it a shame really. It was just a relief that the new apprentices were just barely passed for six-moon there was no reason for them to forget their skills to play around the nursery.
"Ravenpaw keeps butt down you would never catch anything with that loop-sided pace, and stop moving your tail so much," Tigerclaw growls it bother him that despise how eager Ravenpaw was he was didn't have talent like Dustpaw.
Ravenpaw holds in a growl as he saw how his brother who was barely better than he was getting by with just copying Redtail's couch. Firepaw looked over the other apprentices, and couldn't hide his frustration at the lesson. It was clear to him what was the problem Redtail may not be a good mentor but Dustpaw nature observation skills made it easier for him to learn. Ravenpaw in his eagerness to please his mentor and nature sibling rivalry made it difficult to keep focus. Sandpaw was put off because of her half-siblings, but it was clear that her mentor Whitestorm was keeping her on track. Graypaw was too playful and through Lionheart try to be stan it was clear Graypaw was a force on fun rather than training. Fox, Nightpaw, and Rosepaw look to Firepaw for instruction more than their own mentors much to their obvious frustration. This kind of training was beneath him but he saw an opportunity in it. Firepaw could win the younger cats' support by acting as their mentor in return the warriors could make themselves useful. Firepaw took a closer look at the mentor's Whitestorm would most likely follow his aunt over Tigerclaw if a war broke out. Mousefur from what he observed the molly was loyal to their code but it was clear that Bluestar and Redtail lose their respect. Mousefur was a young warrior who was ambitious if they could give her power over more than just a mere apprentice she could be of use if nothing else a strong molly means strong kits. Darkstripe was already loyal to Tigerclaw, but he needs to learn that he was no more than a minion. As for Runningwind, every warrior was obviously confused it didn't take long to find why never believe Runningwind could ever be a mentor. It would not behave to make him resent his formal mentor when he didn't have a strong bond with her. Firepaw got and started towards the center of the clearing, he let out a yowl to get the other's attention. Immanently all cats stared at the lone apprentice.
"I appear that most of the apprentice have simple problems that I could help with. If the mentors are in agreement." Firepaw said observing the mentor's surprise and thoughtful looks town around. Tigerclaw and Darkstripe were the only ones that have train an apprentice before. Mousefur and Runningwind didn't the patience to train an apprentice yet Whitestorm, Lionheart, and Redtail were ready to handle an apprentice even they could take some advice.
"Very well Firepaw. I would like to see you try." Tigerclaw said he knew that this was a way for Firepaw to start his own group of supporters, and Tigerclaw needed Firepaw to be a warrior soon. With no official mentor, Firepaw could either be pulled down or rise higher amount the ranks. If they could move the other apprentice training up it would give Tigerclaw more time to properly train Firepaw.
All apprentice line up from youngest to oldest. Foxpaw, Rosepaw, and Nightpaw I taught you the basics of hunting so practical that on the left side. Take Graypaw with you and show him the stance. Graypaw no more playing around Mousefur could you oversee that they take this seriously? Ravenpaw you need to stop overthinking and keep force on your couch until then you can keep your tail tuck under you. Redtail could you go step by step with Ravenpaw to make sure he in good form. Sandpaw you have the making of a good hunter and need to force. You can go with Runningwind to catch some prey father out. Tigerclaw and Whitestorm, Dustpaw is a quick learner so he needs to learn something more advanced move. I would go around and help with what I can. After this, the apprentices could go and hunt. Is that a good enough plan Tigerclaw?" Firepaw asked knowing that the others won't question him if Tigerclaw gives his consent.
"Very well we can try it this time," Tigerclaw said he notices the mentor-apprentice problem when they first got their apprentices. It was clear that when Redtail was deputy Bluestar wanted to give him an easy apprentice to train. Dustpaw observer skill let him stay force longer to learn faster which in the long run would him a decide warrior with little training. Ravenpaw needed a more patient mentor who would give more step-by-step instructions like Lionheart. Graypaw needs a mentor who was firm and would not let him goof off. Sandpaw being the daughter of the formal deputy need to be a reminder that she wasn't Starclan grift to Thunderclan and that she won't' get by doing minutely effect. With her new half-sibling here, she needs to step up to prove herself to her clan. The problem was that Bluestar hardly visits the nurse to check with the queens about their kits personally, and Redtail didn't think of who would make a good mentor.
