Chapter Ten: Successor Part Two

~Summary~ Mina achieve's her goal, Inko meets more heroes, and Izuku meets someone he saved.

~A/N~ Here we go. Chapter Ten. I hope you all enjoy it.

Chapter Start!

~High in the sky: Somewhere~

Hawks wasn't one to care much for anything beyond hero work. He rarely if ever paid attention to hero rankings or hero news. But as of late, he'd been glued to the hero boards. He was desperate to find out who this new healing hero was. He needed a favor from them. He would give them anything he could if it meant getting their help.

"Fucking hell!" Hawks shouted. "Who the hell are you!" He groaned as he gripped his phone tightly. Just as he was about to give up his digging for the day his phone pinged.

[You're digging around is dangerous] Hawks read and reread the message a dozen times.

"Oh, so that's who's behind it," Hawks grumbled putting his phone away. he'd have to make a couple of secure calls.

~Dagobah Beach~

Mina sat down or maybe more accurately flopped down. She was exhausted and her whole body hurt. But she had done it. She had completely All Might's Aim to Pass course.

"Well done Young Ashido," All Might beamed as he sat down next to Mina. "Look at what you've accomplished. You cleaned up the whole beach,"

"Can't sit up. Everything hurts," Mina replied.

"You've pushed yourself beyond your limits every day. Whether that was training your quirk, your body, or your mind. I'm very proud of you," All Might's smile widened. If that was even possible. "But now we need to have a chat,"

"What about?" Mina pushed herself up. That tone demanded her full attention.

"One For All," All Might stated.

"I'm listening," Mina returned.

"I told you how it's a quirk that can be passed down. But I failed to explain what it will do when you take it in," All Might started. "For me, it was a massive empowering of my incredibly weak quirk. Physical Enhance,"

"Physical Enhance sounds strong," Mina countered.

"Before One For All, it was so weak that most people thought I was lying about it. That I was quirkless. The only proof I had that I had a quirk was that I was too strong and fast to be quirkless. I was still weaker and slower than anybody with 'proper' strength or speed quirks. But it was proof," All Might explained. "Then when I took in One For All. I became what you see,"

"So my quirk is going to get crazy strong?" Mina asked.

"Not just your quirk. Your whole body. I can only guess but I'd bet your resistance to acid will become full-blown immunity and your pH control will skyrocket," All Might said.

"That's pretty scary," Mina replied.

"I will add. I would not be giving it to you if I didn't think you were truly ready," All Might smiled.

"Ok... I'm ready!" Mina stood. "How do we do this?"

"Simple," All Might plucked a hair. "Eat this,"

"Ok... Wait what?" Mina froze.

~U.A. Teacher's Office~

Izuku had been having such a great day. He had run into three of the four Pussycats. He'd gotten their autographs and even got to talk to them about their quirks a little. He'd turned bright red when Pixie Bob flirted with him but she was set straight by Tiger pretty quick. That had been fun but now he was worried. He'd been asked to come to the teacher's office. He was hoping he hadn't made a mistake. Maybe he had accidentally healed a villain at the hospital. And now he was causing havoc because of Izuku. Or maybe he'd overused his quirk and the healing was sub-par and people were feeling side effects.

"Aizawa-sensei I'm he-" Izuku started before he was wrapped in a pair of arms and tightly hugged.

"Thank you!" A feminine voice cried as he was crushed in the woman's arms.

"Can't... Breathe," Izuku gasped out.

"Emi," Shota's voice called out getting the woman to release him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I don't know my own strength sometimes," Emi replied stepping back from Izuku.

"Oh it's you," Izuku said seeing the pregnant woman he had healed. His eyes moved to Shota who now had a hand on her shoulder. Then back to her. Then back to him. Then it clicked. "You two!"

"Are married yes," Shota answered.

"That means," Izuku looked to Emi. Who smiled and nodded.

"You saved our baby," Emi said tears now in her eyes as she hugged Izuku again. This time he returned the hug. A smile plastered on his face.

"I'm glad I was able to," Izuku returned once they pulled away.

"I can never thank you enough Midoriya," Shota said placing a hand on his shoulder. "You saved my everything," Shota added. Izuku almost felt his jaw hit the floor. He could see tears in Shota's eyes. That was the most emotion he'd ever seen from him.

"I just do what I can," Izuku replies trying to hide the blush forming on his face.

~Midoriya Household~

Inko couldn't remember the last time she had smiled this much. But here she was happier than she had been in years. She let out a contented sigh before snuggling into Shino more. The two were currently cuddling on the couch some throwaway romcom playing for noise. Neither was invested in the movie. They were both reading and simply enjoying each other's company.

"When were your partners going to get here?" Inko asked glancing at the clock.

"Should've been here by now. Knowing Pixie she's probably flirting with every guy she sees," Shino answers.

"She have bad luck with men?" Inko asks.

"Something like that. We have to push a lot of her picks away. She tends to pick up pretty big losers," Shino explained.

"That's unfortunate," Inko replied a thoughtful look filling her eyes.

"What's with that look?" Shino asked.

"Just reminds me of myself years back. One failed relationship after another," Inko answered.

"Not to sound bad. But I'm a little happy they didn't work out. Otherwise, we'd never have happened," Shino says.

"I don't regret a single moment of my life. I just feel for her," Inko smiles. A soft knock at the door stops their talk.

"It's open," Inko called out not wanting to get up and leave the warm embrace of Shino.

"Sorry we're late," Yawara calls out.

"What took you so long?" Shino asks.

"For once it wasn't me," Ryuko shouts happily.

"Yeah it was me," Tomoko said. The three other members of the Pussy-cats came into view.

"Oh my god," Ryuko nearly shrieks as she runs over. "You two look so adorable together,"

"Back up. What happened?" Shino stated coldly.

"Nothing bad. Just ran into a hyperactive fan after we finished our talk with Nezu about doing the summer camp idea," Tomoko replied with a blush. "He sort of got me going on quirk talk,"

"Did he perhaps have light green hair and green wings?" Inko asked.

"You've run into him too?" Yawara asks.

"Run into him. Gave birth to him," Inko said barely containing her laughter.

"Oh," Yawara replied before facepalming. Inko wasn't able to contain her laughter after that.

"I see why you like her. Quick-witted like you," Ryuko says.

"She's also super cute," Tomoko adds causing Inko to squeak in embarrassment and hide her face in her hands.

"C... cute?" Inko says through her hands.

"She got cuter... My heart can't take it," Yawara says feigning a faint.

"Knock it off," Shino interjects. "Also yes. You're adorable," She sends to Inko getting another squeak of embarrassment.

"How about we just eat," Inko squeaks out trying to change the subject only getting laughter in response.

~U.A.~

Hawks hadn't even managed to call U.A. before he was told by his assistant that he had a meeting with Nezu very soon. She also apologized a lot for not remembering to tell him about it. Hawks just laughed her off knowing she couldn't remember something that wasn't there before.

"I'm glad you made it to our meeting. I was starting to think you had forgotten," Nezu smirked from behind his teacup.

"Must have slipped my mind. Really busy being a hero and all," Hawks replied.

"Quite," Nezu replied coldly. "So why are you digging around about the unknown healer?"

"Straight to the point. That's fair," Hawks said before sighing. "I need your healer's help. Someone I care for deeply is very sick. They won't make it another year.,"

"I was under the impression that you had nobody like that," Nezu says his eyes narrowing the smallest bit.

"Well, she wouldn't say we're friends. She'd probably say something along the lines of 'I don't do friends,' or something like that," Hawks returns.

"Interesting and what is the sickness?" Nezu asked.

"Adamantinoma Cancer," Hawks replied.

"How long have they had this?" Nezu askes.

"Just a few months. But as of last week, she's too weak to do her job anymore," Hawks said starting to sound desperate.

"Hmm, and Chemo hasn't worked?" Nezu asked.

"No. And after it failed she refused to waste the money on it again. She fought for as long as she could. She's started to prepare for the end," Hawks explains.

"So you want us to bring her here and expose our healer?" Nezu asked.

"You sent the healer to a hospital and them heal over seventy people," Hawks counters.

"A failure on my part. That was incredibly foolish and risky," Nezu retorts.

"If it's that big of a deal. You'd be saving a great hero," Hawks nearly begs.

"I am well aware of who we are speaking of," Nezu states. "The issue is and I do apologize for sounding so crude. What does our healer get out of this? What does U.A. get out of this?"

"I did you a big favor getting Eraser to that hospital," Hawks said.

"And that's the only reason you're even in this meeting," Nezu countered. Hawks looked away from the U.A. Dean. After another moment he gave a heavy sigh.

"What do you want?" Hawks asks.

"Would you turn your back on the HPSC for her?" Nezu asks.

"Yes," Hawks says without hesitation. "She's my best friend and the only person I consider family,"

"Very well Hawks," Nezu says. "Please let Ms. Usagiyama know she has an appointment here with Recovery Girl,"

"When?" Hawks asks quickly.

"Why the moment she can get here," Nezu replies.

"Thank you Nezu," Hawks says with a deep bow.

"Do not thank me yet. I don't know if our healer can fix cancer," Nezu states. "This will be a new test for them,"

And yes All Might does have a quirk in this fic. All For One's degenerative side effect is not present here in this fic. I'm not sure if Mina will get the other quirks like Canon or if I'll just stick with the base power up All Might explained. We'll see.
