Hello there, my english speaking readers, here I bring you with the second chapter of the compilation of my story. Before starting, there are some things to explain so as not to cause confusion.
First; this takes place 17 months after Aizen's defeat and before the Fullbrings. The main setting of the story is during the Fourth War (Fate / Zero).
Second; the Fate and Bleach universes are incompatible entities with each other so I decided not put them together. If so, a long time ago that Aizen could have obtained the Holy Grail at any time instead of Hogyoku.
Third; Instead of 7 participants, there will be 8.
Fourth; Kon, our beloved manga / series mascot, will also be in this story, but a little different. Here I will leave part of his personality intact, although he will not be the same pervert and jokester that we know and have fun. He doesn't have the same obsession with Rukia, except with Orihime and Rangiku (you know why.)
Furthermore, his relationship with Ichigo is a little more tolerable, and he also participated in some events in history such as Rukia's rescue in the Soul Society. He was with Ichigo with the Visards, although he did not go to the Hollow World because he had to watch over Ichigo's family inside his body, but he helped Tatsuki and Keigo escape from Aizen and witnessed their defeat.
Finally, I will respond to the reviews they gave me.
Maxim7: I'm glad you like my new translation. The truth is that it is difficult to keep up with that, although I do my best and I am getting used to it.
Glasrevin: I'm glad you like it too despite the grammar. I also appreciate your advice, but I don't havenative English speaking friends, and I don't know about Grammarly, but I don't think I need it.
King of Fans; If you are interested in learning about the fact that Mordred's sword falls from the sky, for now I will say to I replaced the splinter of the Round Table by Clarent as summoning catalyst. As for why it fell from the sky, I will explain later.
Chapter 2: The stranger tomboy knight.
20/06/2020.
It would have been a normal day for everyone to see the first day of spring in Karakuta, even those who worked at the Urahara Shop would have the luxury of enjoying the fresh air of this beautiful season. However, not everyone was satisfied with everything that was happening, as the store owner knew that something was wrong.
Standing at the entrance of his tent, Kisuke Urahara, former captain of the Twelfth Division, as well as the founder and first president of SRDI, silently gazed at the sky to witness the strange wisp of clouds swirling in the distance. Anyone who saw this phenomenon in the sky would have thought that it was a natural phenomenon produced by climate change, but the former captain of the Twelfth Division who had more developed senses than most humans, knew perfectly well that this did not it was natural.
No.
This was something supernatural, and what intrigued him most was that he didn't know what it was about.
"Could it be a Menos?" Tessai Tsukabishi, former captain of the Kidō Corps, asked beside him, also looking at the strange phenomenon.
"I highly doubt it, Tessai." Kisuke replied with a slight shake of his head. "The energy emanating from that cloud is totally different from that emitted by the Menos. And they certainly don't seem to be an Arrancar either." His eyes stayed on the cloud sensing a bad omen. "I think something is coming."
Suddenly, without their senses detecting it, a strange glow emerged from inside the house, attracting the attention of those in charge and they immediately entered to see what was happening. The light came from the shop counter table, and as it shrunk and lost its strength, it almost took the shape of something. When the light disappeared, he only left behind a strange, slightly thick book.
Both Kisuke and Tessai looked at the strange book from a distance and wondered what it was. Unable to contain his curiosity, Kisuke was the first to cautiously walk towards the book. Once standing in front of the counter, Kisuke read the golden inscriptions on the book, and once he read them, his eyes widened in amazement.
Kurosaki Clinic
Kon gave a soft sigh as he stared through the window at the heavy rain that was falling over the entire city for a time.
'I don't understand how it can rain in spring...'
He didn't understand much about climate change, but it seemed strange to him to rain on a good day.
"Well, I just hope Ichigo comes back before he gets wet and catches a cold." Kon said before turning to his furniture. However, before taking his eyes off the window, he noticed that someone entered the garden and saw that it was Ichigo. But he was not alone. He came along with the Quincy Uryū Ishida and… Orihime Inoue! The latter made Kon slam his face into the window with enthusiasm.
"Orihime-san is here!" Kon shouted in glee. It had been a long time since the Mod soul inside the stuffed lion would have seen the beautiful bubbly girl with the big breasts. "It seems that this time Ichigo has done the most sensible thing in his life." Kon thought as he fantasized about feeling the warm touch of Orihime's chest again. Then his imagination was interrupted when he noticed someone else accompanying them.
"And who is she?"
The door opened suddenly, letting in Ichigo, Uryū, and Orihime who seemed exhausted after a race to get home since the rain started, and their uniforms were already soaked through.
"Crap, we almost didn't make it!" Ichigo complained as he rubbed his wet hair and then checked the condition of his uniform.
"It is clear that climate change is crazy." Ishida commented while rubbing his bangs.
"We should bring an umbrella next time." Inoue said next.
"Yes."
"Onīchan!"
Ichigo and the others looked forward and saw Yuzu rushing towards them.
"Good thing you were on time." Yuzu said worriedly before standing in front of Ichigo and inspecting the uniform. "Oops, you got everything wet."
"Don't mention it to me, alright?" Ichigo replied trying to suppress his bitterness at getting wet. "By the way, are you and Karin fine?"
The answer was not long in coming when he noticed Karin arrive. "Well, Yuzu and I were lucky to get there in time before it started to rain. Although I see that it cannot be said for you." He said this last sentence with a small mocking smile, and this made the orange haired frown in annoyance.
"Come on girls, it's not that big deal." Isshin said as he too made an appearance with a carefree smile plastered on his face. "A lot of drops of water can't hurt a man as tough and strong as Ichigo, since he's had worse experiences."
Ichigo couldn't help but roll his eyes at his stupid father's comment. 'Oh yeah? Like what? Being used as a punching bag by Grimmjow or being impaled by Ulquiorra?'
"Hey, aren't those your friends?" Karin asked looking at Ichigo's 2 companions.
"Oh yeah, they came with me because they wanted to accompany me here." Ichigo explained without wanting to include what happened before the rain. "I hope you don't mind if they stay until the rain pass."
"Of course, I don't care if they stay even for a while!" Isshin exclaimed approvingly. "You can stay as long as you want."
"We are very sorry for the inconvenience." Orihime said with a smile while bowing slightly.
"No problem. You can rest in my son's room if you want." Isshin replied with a big mischievous smile that made Ichigo frown. However, before another comical thing happened, Karin became aware of the other person.
"Hey, Ichi-ni, who is she?" Karin asked as she pointed to the fourth person who was with them. Both Isshin and Yuzu noticed said person and realized that it was a girl between 15 and 16 years old with green eyes and messy shoulder lenght blonde hair tied into a ponytail what was being drenched by the rain.
She wore an open red jacket over a white shirt. For her leggings, she wore daisy-duke shorts and a pair of black boots that had a skull symbol on their back.
She just stared with her arms folded, her brow furrowed and somewhat annoyed.
Several minutes before
There wasn't a single word that could describe Ichigo, Uryū, and Orihime, who were still standing on the sidewalk where this phenomenon happened. Their eyes were fixed on the only figure standing in front of them a few feet away who had also not said anything after his apparent statement.
At first it seemed like today was going to be another day without any incident having to do with the supernatural, but fate played a trick on them and suddenly interrupted their quiet days by causing a huge silver-red sword to fall from the sky and crashed in front of where the teenagers were going down the street. Shortly after, a strange column of crimson light emerged from its surrounding that rose towards the sky, and from it emerged a figure dressed in a kind of samurai or foreign armor and crimson robe with its head and face covered with a kind of horned helmet. And what most caught they attention was that it was holding in its hands the same sword that fell from the sky and the same one that Ichigo saw in his dreams and whose image had been etched in his mind.
And to further aggravate their bewilderment, it automatically removed the helmet that hid it face, revealing the face of the person wearing it, being a young girl in her teens who looked like a foreigner due to her facial features and her blonde hair color. A few seconds after her appearance, the strange warrior finally spoke and introduced herself to something they did not understand and then asked an even stranger question; Are you my Master?
And so, a few minutes passed since she made her apparent statement and none of the 4 said anything or made a move about it leaving the atmosphere in a strange silence that was only interrupted by the sound of the breeze. The 3 teens were still trying to figure out what was going on and who this mysterious character was. It was pretty clear that she wasn't a Shinigami or an Arrancar, which was pretty good since they wouldn't have to deal with them anymore, but they still didn't let their guard down because they still didn't know if she was hostile or not. From Uryū's point of view, he felt that she was emanating a strange reiatsu that he couldn't understand and that was nothing like a Shinigami, Quincy or Arrancar. Either way, she wasn't human. He also noticed the armor he was wearing and was unable to recognize it in any way.
Orihime was also too bewildered to speak when this stranger made her appearance. From the beginning, as soon as she appeared, she was terrified to see the helmet that covered her entire head and for a moment it reminded her of the terrifying demonic form of Ichigo when he transformed into a hollow in front of Ulquiorra. But when she removed her helmet, revealing her female face, she relaxed a bit when she saw that she was human, but she did not lower her guard either, thinking it might be an Arrancar.
Ichigo also had nothing to say as he surveyed the strange girl from above and below, and the only thing he noticed was the sword he held in his hands, and it was the same one he saw in his dreams.
The next few minutes that passed were tense as the 3 teens kept gaping at the strange girl, and she was doing the same, but stoically without each muttering a word as if they were doing a 3v1 staring contest. However, it was only a matter of time before someone began to lose patience, and that happened when a check mark appeared on the blonde's head as she suddenly left her formal expression, being replaced by an angry one and she clenched her teeth in anger.
She didn't take long to explode.
"HEY, UNTIL WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP LOOKING AT ME THAT WAY !?" She bellowed loudly being angered by the annoying silence of her 'summoner' who was giving her and not answering her question. Both Ichigo and the others winced from the outburst, and instinctively took a step back. Her presence and the essence of her fury was like being in front of a rabid lion.
"Haven't you heard what I asked you, or are you deaf?" The blonde asked again in a lower tone but keeping her focus. "Are you my Master?"
Everyone noticed that the girl seemed to be looking at Ichigo in the middle, so it is possible that she was referring to the latter. Instead, Ichigo didn't know what to answer as he was still unaware of the situation, or what she was talking about as if she was crazy, but he decided to talk anyway.
"Are you talking about me?" Ichigo asked awkwardly at himself, causing the girl to raise an eyebrow in confusion and annoyance as if he was mocking her. Seeing that this was not the correct answer, he decided to correct himself well.
"Hey, I have no idea what you're talking about, okay?" Ichigo answered carefully. "I don't know what it is about me being your Master, but I think you have the wrong person."
The blonde girl's angry expression was almost replaced by one of confusion as she continued to stare intently at the orange haired boy without understanding what he was saying.
"What the hell are you talking about? Don't you have the Command Seals?" The blonde warrior asked in obvious confusion and annoyance, thinking it might be a joke.
"What is it supposed to be?"
The warrior grunted annoyed at the question. Was he making fun of her?
"What you carry in your left hand!" She responded impatiently.
Instinctively, Ichigo raised the aforementioned hand and saw that she still had that strange tattoo that appeared on the top of her sleeve before the warrior arrived, but it no longer glowed like before. He knew immediately what he meant.
"You mean this?" Ichigo asked pointing to the front of his left sleeve with the tattoo.
"Yes. That is the proof that it was you who invoked me to be my Master and we would fight together." The warrior explained, hoping her "supposed" fool Master would understand the situation. Unfortunately, it was not.
Ichigo and his friends kept staring blankly at what was going on, as they hadn't given him the details about fighting together yet.
"Is it true what that girl says, Kurosaki-kun?" Inoue asked suddenly looking at Kurosaki. "Did you invoke her to fight or something?"
"Do you know her from something?" Ishida also chimed in looking at Ichigo.
Ichigo looked puzzled at his friends as if these two wanted to accuse him of something.
"O-of course not! I don't remember ever seeing her." Ichigo flatly denied any relationship he had with the blonde before looking at the latter to clarify this.
"Hey, excuse me, but I don't understand a word of what you're talking about. I don't remember invoking you, nor am I your Master." Then he raised his sleeve again. "Also, I have no idea how this shit got here, but I have nothing to do with this."
The blonde's angry expression twitched a bit more, unable to believe what she was hearing. It had to be a joke!
"What are you talking about? Weren't you chosen by the Holy Grail to participate? Aren't you a magus?"
"A magus? Of course not. Do you see me capable of pulling a rabbit out of a hat? And what is this about the Holy Grail?"
That was too much for the warrior. This boy who was supposed to be her 'partner' in the war that was to take place was unaware of his position and completely ignored his knowledge of her and the war. And to top it all, he wasn't even a magus.
She grunted in frustration at her bad luck.
She couldn't believe that she was invoked by a complete jerk, and to make matters worse, this jerk will become her Master and she will have no choice but to obey whatever word he says.
She had definitely been cursed by an incompetent Master.
Meanwhile, Ichigo couldn't find the words to go through with this situation either. His brain was still debating what was going on here and who is this strange girl who appeared out of nowhere stating that he was her Master and saying things that he still didn't understand at all. An intense and awkward silence had formed between the teenagers and the blonde, each trying to figure out what was going on, and in the midst of this tension, Uryū uncomfortably saw that the two had come to a standstill since Kurosaki and the blonde broke up to speak, though not for long. Like the two, the Quincy didn't know what the heck was going on here either. Who was that blonde girl who had appeared out of nowhere, and why did she call Kurosaki her Master? Those questions had been prowling the boy's mind and he hadn't found an answer.
Spending a little time, he saw the blonde looking at the orange haired intensely with growing anger and it was only a matter of time before she lost her temper. Seeing the danger, the Quincy decided to intervene to ease the tension and find a way to fix the problem.
"Ahem, sorry." The Quincy called out to the blonde, who fixed her gaze on the first. "Listen, I don't know what's going on, and we're also as confused as you are. I don't know what you mean by Kurosaki being your Master, that it was he who invoked you, or with that Holy Grail that you mentioned, but I don't think we'll find the answer here."
The blonde looked at the boy with the glasses with a bit of skepticism.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm saying that it makes no sense to be discussing this. How about we talk about this matter somewhere better?"
"And where?" Ichigo asked in return.
Ishida looked at the former Substitute beside him. "I think we could go see Urahara-san. I'm sure he will know what's going on."
"Good idea." Orohime exclaimed in agreement.
With everything decided, Uryū turned his gaze to the blonde. "Hey, is it fine if you accompany us to a place where we can find answers?"
The warrior cocked her head slightly considering her options. Honestly, she was still shocked and confused that her 'Maeter' was not aware of the position and conflict she had to engage in to achieve their goals. It seemed like a headache that this naive boy was the one to inadvertently invoked her and he wasn't even a magus. On the other hand, she didn't feel like telling him everything about the war she was participating in unless it was necessary.
If the guy with the glasses really said that if he could find answers to what was going on with her 'so-called' Master and make him understand what was going on, she would follow him for now. And if not, you will have no choice but to cut off heads and find someone suitable. "Very well. I will follow you for now." The warrior replied as she removed the tip of her sword from the ground and made it disappear in her hand.
Uryū smiled when he saw that she had accepted willingly but could not say anything else when he suddenly noticed a small drop of water fall on his left ear.
"It's raining?" Ichigo asked surprised to see the rain.
"It's like he said yesterday on the weather channel." Orihime said when she remembered seeing the news that it was going to rain today.
"That's right. Either way, Urahara-san's house is a bit far away. We won't be there in time." Uryū said.
"It's true. But my house is close by, so we should take refuge there until it passes." Ichigo suggested before his friends nodded in response. Then he looked at the blonde. "Hey, you can come with me to my house too, but I don't want you to cause trouble, understood?
The blonde considered his words for a moment before giving her answer. "As you wish, Master."
Ichigo just flinched at the girl's cheeky tone along with the fact that she called him 'Master' just like that but decided to ignore it. So, the warrior decided to join the group and they wasted no time when they resumed their march towards the Kurosaki Clinic in a hurry. After a few minutes of running through puddles, the four of them finally had the clinic in sight.
"There." Ichigo indicated as he, his friends, and his new 'partner' ran straight there. However, before they even entered the garden, Ichigo stopped the group, but only looked at the blonde.
"Wait, I forgot you can't go in with those pints" Ichigo said as he looked at the warrior's armor. "I don't want my father and my sisters to be afraid to see you. Can you take off that armor and be in your underwear? I don't want my father and sisters to have an impression of your armor, so take off it and I'll give you new clothes when we go inside."
Uryū and Orihime looked worriedly at the blonde warrior, fearing what her reaction would be when the orange haired boy dared to tell her to remove her armor, but surprisingly, instead of an aggressive or homicidal attitude, the warrior did not seem offended and closed her eyes. Then his entire body began to light up with a strange crimson glow that resembled the light from where she had emerged. When the glow faded, the 3 teens looked wide-eyed at the girl's new look.
In front of them, the blonde girl no longer possessed that thick armor, and instead, now she dressed in modest clothing consisting of a red jacket and blue short jeans. When the transformation finished, the girl opened her eyes and drew a small, amused smile when she saw the surprised expressions of the teenagers in front of her.
"Better this way?"
"Oh, well ..." Ichigo started, looking a little nervous at his curious family, trying to find a story about the blonde girl's situation without telling them the truth. "As Ishida, Inoue and I were heading here, on the way we ran into her having the same problems with the rain as she didn't have an umbrella." He explained the excuse while his family listened carefully.
"When I asked her if she needed help, she replied that she wasn't from here and that she was lost." He could barely hear an amused little snort coming from the blonde girl who was right behind the boy in response to what he had said. Ichigo couldn't help frowning slightly.
"So we decided to take her with us so she could take shelter from the rain. Is it fine if she stays here too until the rain passes?"
Both Isshin and the two twin sisters seemed to be in a trance as they gathered Ichigo's information and understood the poor girl's situation. The 3 teenagers just looked at them tense and nervous wondering what their reactions would be. As for the blonde, she didn't seem to care in the least as she watched with her arms crossed waiting for their answer.
The silence didn't last long when Isshin laughed excitedly. "Of course what kind of person would I be if I let a poor girl get soakeded out there?"
The blonde girl pursed her lips a little when she heard how the man had called her 'poor girl', as if he considered her a helpless maiden.
"Yes, you will be better here." Yuzu said with an enthusiastic smile.
"It seems a bit suspicious to me." Karin said with her arms crossed as she looked suspiciously towards the strange guest.
"Don't be rude, Karin-chan." Yuzu reprimanded her sister.
"It's true. We are hospitable here." Isshin said, agreeing with Yuzu before turning to the crowd with a big smile. "You can stay here as long as you want until the rain passes."
"Thanks." Orihime smiled back.
Then Patriarch Kurosaki turned to the blonde. "Since you are in our care, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kurosaki Isshin, I am a doctor and owner of this clinic." He gestured towards himself before pointing at Ichigo. "This is my son, Kurosaki Ichigo, who is a good boy, and you are lucky that he found you in the rain."
This statement made Ichigo frown even more and then he heard another snort coming from the blonde girl.
"These two here are my daughters Yuzu and Karin." He gestured towards the girls. The first one greeted her kindly while Karin still looked somewhat skeptical at the blonde, but she nodded.
"What's your name?"
They all turned their attention to the blonde girl. The truth is that Ichigo and his friends had already heard his name, but still didn't quite understand it.
Then the girl draws a small smile and responds. "My name is Mordred; I was once a knight of the legendary King of Knights. You can call me Saber, though."
The whole house fell into an intense silence as several confused looks were fixed on the girl newly identified as Mordred, and the latter had to suppress her amused laugh at his silly reactions.
"C-can you repeat it?" Yuzu asked without understanding what she said.
"What's wrong? I don't think it's such a complicated name." Mordred asked with amusement in her voice. They were still too confused not only by the name, but also by what she said next.
At that, Uryū coughed and decided to intervene.
"I think she must be a foreigner." He said as he looked at the girl and observed her physical features.
"It's true. Just look at the color of her hair." Karin stated as she also looked at her.
"You're right, she must be from another country." Orihime said too.
"Oh, to have said it before. Where do you come from, Mordred-san?" Isshin asked as he got over his confusion and continued questioning the foreign girl.
"I come from Camelot." Mordred replied to a moment later. Again, neither of them took what she said Well as the name 'Camelot' did not sound familiar to either of them.
"And what exactly is 'Camelot'?" Karin asked not very convinced of what the stranger was saying. "I don't remember hearing a country with that name. Is it by chance the name of the town or city where you live?"
This time, the blonde girl did not offer an answer to the black-haired woman as she moved her hands to the ponytail and rubbed it to remove the moisture it had.
Seeing this as a sign that she was no longer going to speak, Uryū immediately decided to change the subject to avoid further questions from the confused family and thus cause unnecessary trouble. "Ah, sorry, but we need to change right now as our uniforms got soaked from the rain." The Quincy said hastily before the family asked anything else. "Where is the bathroom?"
"Oh, it's up there, in the middle of Yuzu and Karin's rooms." Isshin indicated to the stairs.
"Thank you very much, let's go." Uryu indicated as he went up the stairs. Ichigo had time to realize what the Quincy was doing and quickly followed suit as did Orihime and Mordred.
Once the 4 of them went up to the next floor, Isshin and Yuzu remained as ignorant as ever when they saw the teenagers upload while Karin was still suspicious of what was going on.
Once upstairs, Ichigo and Uryū were the first to enter the bathroom leaving Orihime and Mordred outside waiting. The first thing they did was remove their soaked gray uniforms, leaving only their white shirts intact. Then each one took a towel to dry their face and hair. Ichigo realized that he still had the strange tattoo on his left sleeve, which he recalled was called "Command Seals", and that this was why Mordred was here claiming that he had been chosen as her Master for this. If that was true, then it would be better for him to get rid of this asap and put an end to all of this.
With that in mind, Ichigo stood in front of the bathroom sink and turned on the faucet, allowing the stream of water to spray onto his sleeve. Then he took a sponge and rubbed it over the drawing in hopes of erasing the ink or whatever it was made of. However, after rubbing it over his skin a few times, he saw to his surprise that the drawing was still intact as if nothing had happened. Ichigo didn't understand what was going on, but decided to try one more time, but as hard as he tried, the soap had no effect. Trying again, the former Substitute rubbed the sponge harder several times, but it didn't help. It was as if the ink was completely waterproof. Ichigo frowned even more.
'Damn it, what the heck is this?' Ichigo growled in frustration, giving up.
"Is something wrong, Kurosaki?" Ishida asked, standing next to him and seeing that he couldn't remove the strange tattoo.
"How do you want me to know it?" Ichigo replied annoyed. "I can't sponge off this shit."
Quincy found it strange that the drawing had appeared on Kurosaki's hand so suddenly as if by magic. Based on what Mordred had said earlier, this was called Command Seals, and this had come to him because Kurosaki had been chosen to become the blonde's Master to fight something together. He still didn't know what she meant by fighting together and he didn't know any more details about it either, but whatever that was there was no doubt that it could be the cause of all this.
"I think you should ask that girl, to see if she can take that away from you." Ishida suggested to Ichigo. The former Substitute took the Quincy's word for it and mentally nodded thinking that she could probably be the solution to this. Having said that, he turned off the tap before heading with his partner towards the door. When he opened it, they found the 2 girls waiting for them head on.
Just when Ichigo was about to ask her, she pushed him aside a bit without warning so she could enter.
"It was about time; I was getting sick of waiting so long."
Ichigo and his friends were a bit taken aback by the blonde's behavior, but Orihime quickly regained her composure and bowed apologetically to the boys before entering and closing the door. Once the door was closed, Ichigo couldn't help but clench his teeth in anger at what the blonde did.
"But who does she think she is?"
Once inside, Orihime stripped off her soaked gray uniform leaving her white blouse and then grabbed a clean towel and dried her long, straight orange hair.
Meanwhile, Mordred looked at herself in the mirror and removed her red jacket, revealing her white shirt, and then removed her crimson ribbon. As she did so, her ponytail got rid and shimmered with long seductive wild blonde hair with spiky sections that fell on her back. She stroked his mane to check if it was damp, then grabbed her own towel to rub it. Orihime couldn't help but see behind her the incredible beauty that the other girl radiated, almost like a goddess.
Mordred realized she was looking at her and turned her head to look at Orihime. "What?"
"Oh, it's nothing, sorry. Sorry to spy on you." She formally apologized before giving a nervous smile. "You look very pretty like that."
Mordred was silent for a moment as if she didn't expect to give that kind of answer, but she answered anyway. "Thanks." Before turning to the mirror.
"I haven't introduced myself. My name is Inoue Orihime. Nice to meet you, Mordred-san."
However, instead of receiving an 'Equally', Mordred completely ignored her as she put on her ponytail and tied it with the red ribbon. Orihime just looked at her slightly puzzled by her behavior but didn't say anything. Thinking that it would be that they still did not know each other well, she decided to leave room for her to get used to it.
Once the two of them finished, Ichigo and the others finally decided to enter the former's room to discuss privately and clarify more about their foreign 'guest'. Ichigo was the first to enter, drawing the attention of Kon who was waiting for him.
"It was time for you to come, why did you take so long?" The stuffed lion asked with a small frown.
Ichigo ignored him while Uryū and Orihime were the next to enter. Kon's expression lit up when he saw the girl enter.
"Orihime-san!"
"Kon'nichiwa, Kon-kun." Orihime cheerfully greeted at the sight of the Mod Soul inside the stuffed lion that hadn't been seen since her adventure in Soul Society. Kon immediately stepped off the ledge and ran to hug Orihime's pretty legs at least, but just when he was a few inches from her, a hand grabbed him by the head and lifts him off the ground to bring him directly to Ichigo's face.
"Oi, what are you doing?" Kon asked in confusion and annoyance looking at Ichigo, who was looking with his typical frown.
"Sorry, but I don't think this is the time for you to do that." Ichigo said before releasing Kon and he fell to the ground, but the fall did not affect him as much because he had no bones.
"What do you mean 'this is not the time'?" Kon protested indignantly. "What could be more important than...
He couldn't finish the sentence when he saw the fourth person enter and his eyes were fixed on her. What struck him was that she had a sensual appearance (well, not physically) but had exposed body like her legs. She was almost like a young supermodel.
"Hey, who is that girl? She looks kinda pretty." Kon asked pointing at the blonde.
"No idea. We only found her 'lost' in the rain." Ichigo replied
Mordred winced at that. She was almost tempted to sheathe her sword and split the insolent who was supposed to be her Master in two.
"She looks a bit pretty. I'm going to see her up close." Kon said as he started to walk towards the guest. However, when he was inches from her, another hand suddenly landed grabbing onto the stuffed animal's head and lifted it up to the blonde's curious face.
"What is this thing?" Mordred asked curiously as her eyes were fixed on the stuffed animal that was talking closely. "Is this stuffed animal alive or something?"
"Hey, let me go!" Kon yelled as he frantically flailed his body in a futile attempt to break free from the grip, but all he managed to do was make his situation more embarrassing.
"Hey, let it go." Ichigo chimed in when he caught Kon and then dropped him onto the bed. When the latter recovered, he gave the blonde a dirty look.
"Hey, catch me again and I swear I'll make you pay!"
Mordred ignored the harmless threat from the stuffed animal and continued to look at him expectantly. "What kind of magic is that?"
"It is not magic." Ichigo corrected a bit annoyed by the girl's attitude. "It is a Modified Soul, a product manufactured by the Soul Society."
"Soul Society? What is that?" Mordred asked as she looked confusedly at Ichigo.
After saying that, Ichigo and his friends froze upon hearing her ask that, and they couldn't help but look at her in puzzlement and confusion. What exactly did she say ...?
"Are you kidding!?" Ichigo asked out loud thinking it was a bad joke. "You really don't know what the Soul Society is?"
"Do I look like I know?" Mordred asked almost sarcastically as if she didn't care too much about the subject.
Nobody could believe it. Did she really not know that it was the Soul Society where the souls of the deceased resided after they died?
"So you don't know about Shinigamis either?" Uryū asked instantly. The only response the bespectacled Quincy received was a strange listless look that seemed to say; 'What do you think?'.
"You really don't know where souls go when they die?" Orihime asked a bit concerned about the blonde warrior's lack of information about not knowing where souls go after they die.
The blonde thought for a moment before answering.
"To the hell?"
Upon receiving such a reply, Ichigo let out a tired sigh and then scratched the back of his neck. This was definitely causing her headaches.
"Never mind." The orange-haired teenager said wearily before sitting upside down in a chair with his arms resting on the top rail and his chin on it, staring at the guest. "All I want to know is who you are."
"I thought I told you before." Mordred replied sounding almost offended.
"It's not that." Ichigo responded sounding like he didn't have time for jokes. "I mean who the hell are you and why do you say I'm your Master."
The only response he received was a listless silence as the warrior continued to stare listlessly at the orange haired teenager as if she was no longer willing to continue talking to an 'idiot'. Seeing that this was going nowhere, Uryū decided to clarify the situation a bit.
"Alright, why don't we go over this a bit where we left it earlier?" The Quincy sighed clearly as he looked at the warrior. "You say it was Kurosaki who invoked you with that strange tattoo on his sleeve, right?"
"Yes, he was supposed to be chosen to be my Master, but I didn't expect him to be too stupid to find out." Mordred replied sarcastically.
Ichigo gritted his teeth in anger at the insult but held back.
Far from noticing Kurosaki's tension, Ishida moved on to the next question. "I see, then why was Kurosaki chosen to be your Master, and by whom?"
Mordred turned her head to glance at the Quincy as if she didn't see the point of this. "And why should I tell you this? Didn't you tell me when we were outside that you would take me to someone who can explain this better?"
"Yeah, but it's raining right now, and we'll have to wait here for it to finish." Uryū replied. "Also, I think we should take advantage of this to tell us what you know."
"It's true, if you tell us what's wrong with you, maybe we can help you." Orihime responded willingly, however, that didn't seem to win the warrior's trust.
"Well, can you at least tell me how this got to me?" Ichigo asked as he showed the upper part of his left sleeve with the tattoo on top.
"Wasn't it your father or another member of your family who gave you the stamps?" Mordred asked, to make an effort to discover why that brat possessed the seals.
Ichigo found the question strange and stupid. Why would his father, no matter how idiotic and childish he seemed, allow one of his sons to get a tattoo?
"Of course not. This appeared suddenly before you arrived." Ichigo replied as he remembered the event from that time. "I remember how I felt like my hand was on fire, but after a moment it disappeared, leaving this strange drawing as if by magic. Weren't you the one who put this on me?"
"Of course not, you moron." Chided Mordred. "I'm sure it must be the Holy Grail who has chosen you."
"The Holy Grail? You mean the chalice where the blood of Jesus was shed?" Uryu asked in reference to the mythical chalice that appeared in some religious sources.
"Who? You mean that man nailed to a cross? No, I was referring to an all-powerful object capable of granting wishes."
"Granting wishes?" Orihime asked intrigued.
"Yes, that is why I am here and why he was chosen to be my Master." Mordred replied.
"Yes, but chosen for what exactly?" Ichigo asked who still didn't understand what he was going to do exactly. However, before the answer came, suddenly a phone beeping rang in the room, and everyone turned to Ichigo as that's where the beeping was coming from. The orange-haired teen pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and activated it before holding it to his ear.
"Yes?"
"Kurosaki-san." Kisuke's familiar voice spoke on the other line.
"Urahara-san? What do you want?" Ichigo asked in return.
"Sorry if I bother you right now, but did you notice anything strange in the air before the rain came?" The shopkeeper spoke in a serious voice.
"Uh, yeah, actually, while me, Inoue, and Ishida were walking around, some strange things happened." Ichigo had started recounting what happened as they walked beginning with the fall of the red sword from heaven and the mysterious appearance of that strange warrior named Mordred who said it was Ichigo who invoked her to be her Master.
Having heard the last part of the boy's story before he called out to him, Kisuke seemed satisfied with that.
"I see, then it was true." The former Shinigami captain spoke in a mysterious manner, but that was enough to alert Ichigo as Kisuke somehow seemed to have the answers to this.
"Hold on, do you know anything about this?" Ichigo asked surprised.
"Actually yes." The hatter answered with wooden sandals. "If possible, I would like the two of you to meet with me so I can discuss it directly. Do you think you can?"
Ichigo looked out the window to see how expected, it was still raining incessantly, making it impossible for them to get out. With that, Ichigo turned to the mobile.
"I don't think I can. Let's wait for the rain to pass, alright?"
"Okay. By the way, what did you say her name was?"
Hearing that, Ichigo tried to remember his guest's name, and its syllables barely left his mouth when he realized that it was quite difficult to remember a totally strange name.
"Ah, her name was Mod-mod-mod... Morry?"
"IT'S MORDRED!" The blonde warrior roared really anger because now her stupid Master didn't remember her name.
"Ah yes, it's Mordred." Ichigo replied, altered by the warrior's outburst. "Her name is Mordred."
"So Mordred, huh? Fine, see you." And with that, the shopkeeper cut the line. After finishing speaking, the teenager got up from his seat and turned to the group.
"Looks like we're in luck. Urahara-san says he knows what's going on and says let's go there to talk about it too."
The news was well received by Ichigo's friends, except that Mordred was still skeptical about all of this.
"Did you hear that, Mordred-san?" Orihime asked looking with a hopeful smile at the blonde. "We already told you that we could help you."
Mordred didn't know whether to mock or poke fun at the attitude she was giving without even knowing what she wanted.
"Well, we'll go as soon as it stops raining." Ichigo announced.
"And what do I do in the meantime?" Mordred asked to take advantage of her stay here while the rain passes. "I don't want to stay in this smelly room anymore."
Ichigo's scowl deepened even more at the blatant comment. Now she was calling her room a "pigsty".
"If you don't like my room, ask my father or my sisters to let you stay in one of their rooms if that's what you want!" Ichigo snapped really annoyed at the girl's attitude.
"Very well, as my Master orders."
"And would you mind stopping calling me Master? It makes me nervous." Ichigo replied who was sick of being nicknamed that way. "Just calling me Ichigo is enough."
The blonde looked at the orange haired for a moment before giving a mischievous smile and saying the following;
"As ordered, Master Ichigo."
And just as she expected, a mark appeared on the teenager's head as he began to clench his teeth in anger.
Mordred couldn't help but laugh at his amused reaction before turning around and leaving the room immediately leaving the poor idiot in frustration.
"Bitch..." He hissed as she closed the door.
Feeling a bit uncomfortable with the calm environment and Ichigo's anger still present, Orihime decided to speak.
"Well, I better keep her company." She said as she started to walk towards the door and left the room.
"Me too." Uryū said accompanying her and leaving only an irritated Ichigo.
"Hey, are you going somewhere?"
Mordred looked down and saw her Master's brown haired sister, who she remembered well was called Yuzu.
"Can I be in your room?" Mordred asked in a clear voice to the 13-year-old girl.
Yuzu leaned in slightly confused by the question. "Why? Weren't you in my brother's room?"
"Yes, but your dear little brother has decided to kick me out of there." Mordred replied with annoyance in her voice. That answer seriously surprised Ichigo's sister, who didn't expect that from him.
"Seriously?"
"Yes, he ordered me to. "She replied smiling, telling almost the truth just to enjoy the sister's reaction a bit.
"It would be hard for me to believe that." Karin joined who did not seem convincing of what the guest was saying. "Ichi-ni can be a little stingy at times, and a little grumpy, but I don't think he's the type of person who would do that, even a girl."
"Oh sorry, little one." Mordred smiled fondly as she bowed slightly to the girls. "I had no idea your little brother was a knight."
Yuzu looked at the blonde girl a little worried as if she was in front of a criminal, while Karin did not look intimidated at all, but gave her a suspicious look.
"Come on, Yuzu, Karin. Don't be like that to our guest." Isshin intervened who had just come up the stairs and approached 3 with his good humor without realizing the problem. "I hope my son didn't cause him trouble."
"Not at all." Mordred replied immediately as she stood up and looked at her Master's father. "Just that I would like to stay and rest in a room other than a boy's."
"Oh, I see. You can stay in Yuzu's room if you want." Isshin insisted softly, drawing the twins' attention. "You wouldn't mind if she stayed in your room for a while, right?"
Little Yuzu considered this for a moment until she gave her answer. "Okay."
"Well, you can stay there if you want." Isshin said to Mordred, who smiled. She leaned in again and stroked Yuzu's hair.
"Thank you very much, little one. You really are a very good girl." Mordred complimented Yuzu, causing the latter to blush slightly. For a moment, Karin saw this as a bit strange, but then she frowned at the feeling that she was taking advantage of her sister.
A moment later Uryū and Orihime arrived, who saw Mordred walk again and head towards Yuzu's room.
"Wait a minute." Karin called causing the foreign guest to stop and turn to see the girl who was still looking at her. "I need you to correct me something. You say you come from a place called Camelot, right? I have never heard the name of a country like that, unless it is the town or city where you live. So, can you tell me what country you are from? "
Mordred looked at the dark-haired girl indifferently, as if refusing to answer.
Both Uryū and Orihime flinched slightly. They knew that this strange warrior was not quite human and the fact that she appeared as magic and wore a strange armor, it was clear that she did not belong anywhere on Earth, and that place called 'Camelot' may be another world like Soul Society or the Hueco Mundo.
However, to the Quincy, he had a feeling that he had heard that name in school, probably in history class, but he didn't remember what. Perhaps that place exists and is known on Earth.
"Does the name Britannia sound familiar to you?" Mordred asked suddenly.
Neither said anything as they all tried to analyze that name, but none could. However, Uryū did not give up and tried to find some kind of relationship. He mentally repeated the name 'Britannia' several times to search for something that sounds similar in anything related to Europe. Fortunately, he found one.
"Are you from Great Britain?"
Mordred looked at him for a moment before answering.
"Yes."
"Then you must come from England." Orihime added speculating about the blonde's country of origin.
"Oh, so you are an Englishwoman, huh? You come from far away." Isshin commented sounding impressed. "And what brings you to Japan? The truth is that many tourists never come to Karakura Town."
Mordred was silent for a moment, worrying Ichigo's friends, fearing that she might reveal her identity and the truth about why she was here. At the moment, it seemed that the rest of the Kurosaki family were unaware of what was happening, but it could be over soon. Fortunately, it was not.
She gave another answer.
"Not much. I got lost in the rain, and then that strange haired boy appeared to me and offered me his hand." And unsurprisingly, everyone was totally impressed by what they heard. Ichigo extending his hand like a prince asking for a maiden?
Those who knew very well what happened, knew that it was not true, except for the father and the sisters who could only imagine that scene in which Ichigo took the poor and defenseless girl lying on the ground and walking together.
"Did my brother really do that?" Yuzu asked incredulously. She just nods with a big smile and then, without saying anything else, turns around and walks into Yuzu's room, leaving the 5 of them with their own thoughts.
Uryū and Orihime couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about the blonde's little made-up story. Although he did it to cover up his identity, they didn't know if he had gone a bit far. At least he was free of suspicion. For the moment.
Instead, the 2 members of the Kurosaki family still couldn't believe what the orange haired boy had done, swallowing the whole story.
"I can't believe my brother did something so polite." Yuzu exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes, it is true. My son has matured enough." Isshin sang with tears in his eyes. "He's already a man!"
However, the only ones who did not join in this ridiculous child drama, fell silent, Uryū and Orihime totally confused, while Karin simply looked at them with disinterest.
That if all for today.
If some of you ask why I chose Mordred instead of her 'father', I'm sure most of you are fans of ShirouxArtoria, and I really don't want to replace Shirou with another. It's rare that I say this since I'm actually a fan of ShirouxRin or Sakura. Besides that I like the Shirou of 2014 more than the one of 2006.
Other than that, I like Mordred more than Artoria. Seriously, her strong and wild personality coupled with her battle prowess is like the combination of a Saber and a Berserker from what I saw in Apocrypha. I also felt sorry for her past and circumstances. She was created as a weapon by the witch Morgan to overthrow and usurper her father the king. But she greatly admired the King of Knights and wanted to be part of her inner circle of the Knights of the Round Table and to love her as her daughter. (much like Shinji Ikari from Evangelion with his father) But she had rejected it and that is why she rebelled and in the end both died. Personally I see the death of both Mordred and Artoria as a tragedy and I would have liked to see a series in which those 2 were reconciled at once.
This was one of the main reasons why I decided to create this fic and put Mordred during the events of Fate/Zero to be reunited with Artoria although for now they will be enemies for the Grail.
Ja ne!
