A/N: I'm back with another update! I'm sorry it's late the past few weeks have been super busy and cramming in typing time was hard. But I'll just get on with the chapter and finishing this author's note, you guys have waited long enough.

Silver - I'm glad you liked the stargazing scene, I thought it'd be a nice touch. Merlin as the mother seemed logical and Escanor as the stand in father seems good too. *Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.* Thanks for the kind reviews as always.

Till next time,

D.L.D

"Thanks for helping me," Meliodas shot Elizabeth a grin as she continued to help him clean up. "You didn't have to."

"Don't be silly," Elizabeth smiled as she continued to scrub at the floor, trying to work the flour out. "I'm sure you and Sir Ban have a perfectly reasonable explanation for this."

The princess' cheeks were red with effort, her face still cheery despite spending quite a lot of time helping Ban and Meliodas clear up after their incident. The trio had worked hard at the Merlin's mention of punishing them if they didn't do it properly. Although Merlin had chastised Elizabeth for helping the boys clear up as it was a punishment for them to not repeat their actions, the princess had still helped them anyway. So knowing she couldn't win, Merlin had kindly gave Elizabeth a pair of gloves 'to not ruin her pretty hands.' Clearly the 'mother' of the group was playing favourites.

It was now late into the evening, well past King's hour warning however everyone knew that he and Diane would come back in the morning. After all falling asleep in a field under the stars is a common occurrence. You'd be surprised how many people have unknowingly done so, especially when with someone they value or feel strongly towards. But then again it would be wise to send someone out to get them, Diane and King did look like children. However no-one seemed to bring up the point and so it was left unmentioned.

"Pfft, wish I did princess," Ban mumbled as he worked on the higher up surfaces. Since he was the tallest of the three Ban was stuck with the harder work, mainly clearing up the counters and shelves. "It was just - like something took over."

"Really?" Elizabeth paused, looking at the Fox Sin and he nodded.

"You felt it too right Cap'n?" Ban looked at the blonde. "Like an urge to just run around and not think about anything. Make a mess."

"Yeah, it was weird," Meliodas nodded. "Like all my memories were gone or something. And...now I'm done clearing up!"

"Aww no fair!" Ban whined as he looked at the counter he'd been cleaning. Clearly he hadn't been listening when Merlin told him how to clear it up correctly as globs of flour and other foods that became sticky when wet were still on the surface. "You had Elizabeth's help."

"Well maybe you would've finished if you listened," Meliodas admonished, his tone not quite serious.

The taller boy simply stuck his tongue out, an annoyed expression crossing his features. He was done with trying to work out this mess, but he couldn't go because he knew Merlin would clobber his ass again. Pain/reprimanding was not something he wanted to opt for, especially not from Merlin. The mage clearly wasn't in the mood to babysit anymore.

"Listened smchistened," Ban rolled his eyes, he then pointed his soiled cleaning rag at the blonde. "You had help."

The blonde simply shrugged.

"Well I did help you both - " Elizabeth began but was swiftly cut off by the stubborn Fox Sin.

"Nope you helped Cap'n more," Ban stated, before grinning. "But I don't mind. I'm sure Merlin will just clean it up."

Elizabeth and Meliodas shared a look at Ban's logic. If Merlin had made a huge point of clearing up being a punishment for their behaviour, then why would she clean it up? She'd probably just drag them back down to the kitchen and keep them there until they finished the job. That's unless Ban believed in refusing to do it so many times the mage grew annoyed and just did it herself. But that would take a long time.

"Well good luck with that," Meliodas before turning to Elizabeth. "We are now relieved of our duties."

"But what about Sir Ban?" Elizabeth asked, concerned that he'd be up all night trying to clean up. He had clearly made little progress throughout the time they'd all spent cleaning, Elizabeth getting quite a large part of his portion done. She feared that Ban would end up cleaning in the kitchen forever and that would be terrible.

"He'll be fine," Meliodas spoke breezily. "Now come on you have a payment to fulfill."

Elizabeth turned red, her mind wandering to whatever that could be.

"Don't kill her Cap'n," Ban chuckled and humming soon filled the kitchen along with the sounds of scrubbing.

"Oh no he won't!" The sound of trotters came before Hawk tackled Meliodas straight on, the pig pinning the blonde down. Hawk then began to wind the rope he often used around Meliodas. "No perverted bastards are getting past me tonight! No matter how cute or tiny they are!"

"Oh come on! It's not like she has breasts anymore," Meliodas whined as the pig made sure the rope was coiled tightly around him.

"I don't care you'll find something," Hawk continued his spiel, before satisfactorily jumping off the blonde and revealing the fruits of his labour. "There you are Elizabeth! Now he shouldn't bother all through the night."

"Well...um - thank you Hawk," Elizabeth found it hard to find her words. "Don't you think that's unnecessary though? Sir Meliodas had a point earlier."

"He'll find something Elizabeth and that's what matters," The pig simply responded before trotting off, "And don't untie him."

The princess sighed as she looked down at Meliodas, who wore a peeved look.

"I swear one day I'm gonna make that pig into bacon."

Dawn had arrived and the sun was rising. Peace was upon all that lay under the blazing ball of light and birds chirped merrily as they sang their wake up calls. All was perfect - blissful - the perfect start for the day.

"King help!"

Diane shrieked as she found herself growing, her clothes clearly pushed to their limit as the seams strained to stay together. The orange material of her romper was just about covering her body, the durability of it tested by her quickly growing form. The sound of ripping seams was steadily growing more frequent.

"Diane?!"

King woke with a start, panicking as he spotted the now taller giantess. She was now the size of a tree, clearly not being able to fit inside any building - and her clothes were nearly ripped to shreds, the material barely covering her skin.

King flushed red, his senses scattered as he tried to stay calm as he looked at the brunette.

"King?" Diane tilted her head, hair spilling over her shoulders as she waved a hand in front of his face. Confusion and concern were the main emotions expressed on her. "Are you still there or - "

"Yep," The fairy answered immediately, his voice jittery. He then shook his head and tried to sound as certain as he could. "I think I can extend the effects of your pills. Just wait a second."

He then sunk into silence, concentration clear on his face as he focused on something intangible. Something unseen. A long pause filled the air...Then Diane stopped growing. She felt it, like a sudden halt on a fast travelling vehicle. It just stopped. Kinda like a jolt of sorts. Then she was rapidly shooting towards the ground.

"I think it's working!" Diane cheered as she felt herself fall slightly, likely her shrinking in size. In fact had her clothes always felt so loose and flowy?

The giantess looked down to see the stretched fabric now pooling around her, resembling a circus tent. She should stop shrinking now, she was normal size. But she can't feel herself stopping. The ground is growing closer. Closer and closer... In fact Diane was still shrinking, further and further...

"Wait stop!"

King halted and Diane sighed in relief as she felt herself stop shrinking. Now she was that one size - not any taller not any shorter. The giantess laughed as she tackled the fairy into a hug, glad that she was small and wouldn't have to sleep outside all alone. It suddenly seemed a lot more scarier now that she was tiny again. Maybe even lonelier.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

Diane was full of energy now, not in the least bit bothered about the now ruined romper that bunched around her. However King was still flustered and turned a deeper shade of red when she hugged him. Somehow he managed to keep himself under check and gave her a response that wasn't too jittery.

"No problem, really Diane!" He smiled at the brunette as she pulled away and fixed the ruined material around her. Then his expression darkened. "But we should check with Merlin about this."

"Yeah we should," Diane agreed, before grabbing him by the arm and leading him towards the Boar Hat. "Now come on! I'm sure everyone's worried about what happened to us."

"But what about your clothes? Don't you want me to fix them or..." The fairy trailed off as they approached the building, knowing that he wouldn't get his point across.

Diane simply shook her head as she laughed. "That can wait. I want to know how much longer I'll be tiny for. Plus I don't want to ruin another outfit after you spent ages making it for me."

King only sighed in response, a slight smile threatening to break over his features. She was definitely going to be the death of him one of these days...

"Well it seems that King had managed to extend the effect of your pills," Merlin sighed as she finished her examination of the brunette. She had put Diane through various tests and even taken a blood sample just to make sure there weren't any side effects and that she'd be ok. However the mage could still not determine how long the extension of the pills would last. That was made impossible to find.

"So I'm smaller for longer?" Diane raised a brow, a lot more comfy in the spare clothes Merlin had given her.

"Yes," Merlin answered simply, her expression grim as she thought. "However I don't know how long for. I want you to come back to me hourly, just to make sure you're not growing or anything. If we can time it, maybe we can know when to except a sudden growth spurt."

"Ok," Diane nodded, humming slightly. Then a question suddenly hit her, the reminder hitting her like a ton of bricks. "Merlin?"

"Yes?" The ravenette turned to the giantess, a genuine look of curiosity crossing her features.

"Is it normal to get sudden memories?" Diane stumbled over her words, cheeks reddening at the small glimmers of the past she received. "You see I'm having memories of things that I don't remember happening, but I know they did."

Merlin sunk into thought, her amber eyes deep and cloudy. She then placed a hand under her chin, her index finger tapping her cheek as she searched her mind for the right way to phrase her conclusion. After all Merlin had been suspecting that there was a reason why King seemed to know Diane before the Sins grouped together. It did seem strange that he seemed to have phantom memories of her, while she had none at all.

"Well perhaps they were removed," The mage finally spoke, her mind made up. "They could be returning as you're around the same age, or perhaps it's something else entirely..."

Merlin sinking into thought once again, gave Diane the indication to leave. Clearly whatever spell had been cast over them was a lot more complex than Merlin had explained it as being. The mage had made it seem like a simple age reversal spell, but it couldn't be. She would've been able to reverse it before if it was. Plus there were a bunch of unanswered questions about this whole situation. Questions that seemed to link to everyone's recent odd behaviour.

"Remember to come back in an hour!" Merlin reminded the giantess before her bedroom door shut.

Yep, this whole situation is more complex than they thought.
