Hey guys! Ok, first off can we take a moment to process the fact that the PJO series is getting a TV SHOW on Disney Plus? I found out so late like right after I posted the last chapter and I was freaking out! It was almost two in the morning and I was crying cause I couldn't believe it. Uncle Rick is going to be in charge of the show too! I would die to be a part of the cast but obviously I'm too old (they're actually going to get younger actors for the series thank god) and I can't act to save my life. How did you guys react? Just the thought of the show makes me so happy. I also bought the prequel book to The Hunger Games series and I'm super excited to read it when it comes in the mail. Ok, enough about me.

Here is part 2 of the finale! It's literally Percabeth overload so get ready! There's a scene that's been a long time coming! Also, make sure to go check out my other story Time After Time which will be posted right after this update goes up!

LostHopelessDreamer18: Awww that's so sweet thanks! I'm so self-conscious about my writing sometimes so that means a lot. Everyone can be a writer if you keep practicing and push yourself! Don't doubt your talent!

yourgirllilly14: Thanks! Ahh I'm so glad you think so. I wasn't sure what kind of reaction I was going to get from you guys on the new update but I'm so happy it's all positive!

Needless to say, Annabeth was beyond confused when three minutes later the lights to the ice rink turned off, encasing her in complete darkness. It only lasted a second though because she blinked and then hues of blue colored the main ice rink, making it look like an ocean. She smiled at the sight. The colored lights were only used for figure skating competitions and she'd never gotten to enjoy them from the bleachers before. A song started playing through the speakers. Some fast-paced tune that reminded her of the summer.

She heard the main door to the ice arena open and was met with the sight of her boyfriend. He smiled when he noticed the music and the blue light. He ran up the bleachers like an excited kid on Christmas morning.

"Ok how in the world did you get access to the lighting and sound system?" She asked once he appeared next to her, already knowing that it was something he shouldn't have been able to do.

Percy shrugged innocently. "Let's just say it involved sneaking into the rink one night with the team, snooping around Coach's office, and a very tech savvy Leo Valdez."

Annabeth shook her head in mock disappointment.

"So, what do you say? Up for a little more skating or are you too tired Princess?" He asked competitively, his eyes gleaming with interest as he grabbed his hockey skates from his duffle.

Annabeth scoffed, her own competitive side coming out. "Please. Do you know who you're talking to?"

He smiled, tightening the laces on his hockey skates. Luckily, Annabeth hadn't taken her white figure skates off yet, so she was already set to go.

"Last one down's a rotten egg!" She shouted before steadily making her way down to the bottom of the bleachers.

"Not fair! You already had your skates on!" He yelled after her, finishing up his second skate and following her down.

She stuck her tongue out at him when she stepped foot on the ice, not caring that the action was something a five-year-old would do. The blades of her skates met the now blue tinted ice as she glided easily over to the other side of the rink. She stared at the clock above the ice, realizing how late it was. Her mother was going to murder her, but she found herself not caring in the slightest.

"That was very unsportsmanlike Chase. I'd say you need to go in the penalty box immediately." Percy said. She turned around as she saw him getting onto the ice. His skating technique coming as easily to him as it did to her.

"Oh yeah? Well then you're going to have to come over here and get me first Jackson." She teased, skating backwards as he moved towards her.

His eyes glimmered with playfulness as the speakers continued to play a random song from his playlist. "How many times do we have to go over this babe? I'm faster and you know it." He replied cockily.

She scoffed, trying not to dwell too much on the fact that he'd called her babe. "Prove it then."

As soon as the words left her lips all hell broke loose. She screamed when she saw him kick off in a burst of speed. She skated away from him, finding it slightly hard to see in the darkness mixed with blue. They skated in giant circles around the large circumference of the ice. The wind blew her hair back and she felt her heart beat faster when she noticed him getting closer.

The scenario seemed all too familiar. She smiled as she recounted the memory at Rockefeller Center. Except now it was just the two of them at their own rink. The one they had been skating on since they were kids. She got so lost in her thoughts she almost completely forgot she had a hockey player chasing after her. When she remembered, it was already too late.

"Too slow Princess!" Percy shouted in victory, wrapping his arms around her waist as she laughed.

He spun around to face her, skating backwards along the ice as she faced him. Truth was she knew he was obviously faster. He was a hockey player for gods sake. Even his skates were meant for speed. But she didn't want to fuel his already massive ego.

He gripped her waist and she felt herself being pushed backwards. Before she knew what was happening, she felt her back hit the tempered glass walls conveniently next to the penalty box. She breathed heavily. She couldn't tell you if it was because she was finally getting to catch her breath from skating or if it was because he was leaning so close to her it was almost suffocating. Every snarky comment she was going to give him left her mind.

His hands stayed firmly on her waist and she reached up to wrap her arms around his neck. His skin was tinted blue as was hers due to the lighting. Their skates stayed in place along the edge of the rink.

When their lips met this time, it was different. A good kind of different. She felt him inch closer to her, connecting their lips more firmly as her back pressed up against the wall harder. She buried her fingers into his hair when he deepened the kiss. His tongue asking for permission that she granted. She was suddenly so thankful for the wall behind her because without it she was pretty sure she would have lost her balance. Her legs felt like jelly and she needed the support it gave her to stay upright. Her head jerked back every few seconds due to the force behind the kiss. She was having trouble keeping up. She sighed into it. It was honestly frustrating how good he was at kissing. He probably knew it too.

They pulled away for two reasons. One because air became a necessity and two because a different kind of song started playing from the speakers around them. Annabeth raised her eyebrows in question, looking at the boy in front of her for an explanation as the beginning notes to the song started.

"Funny. I didn't take you for much of an Eva Cassidy fan." She teased, recognizing the song immediately. Her voice came out in labored breaths and a look of realization crossed his features.

He shut his eyes tightly, cursing under his breath. "Will" She heard him say.

"What?" She asked, laughing a little.

"Will asked to borrow my phone yesterday. He said it would only take a second, so I let him. I should've known he would mess with my playlist." He mumbled, his own heavy breathing fanning her face.

Annabeth laughed. "Ok but…how could he possibly know we would be in a situation like this where the song would play?"

Percy shrugged. "I stopped trying to figure that dude out a long time ago."

He tried to go in for another kiss, but Annabeth put a hand on his chest, stopping him but not before she let their lips touch for a millisecond. She giggled. She did that a lot around him and it was totally out of character for her. She grabbed one of his hands, dragging him away from the side as she pushed off of the wall. He lazily followed her, letting her guide them along the smooth ice. She led them to the middle of the rink before stopping with her toe pick, nearly making him crash into her as the lyrics of the song sounded all around them.

[Song Tribute-Songbird by Eva Cassidy]

"Time for you to learn some spins mister." She voiced, turning to face him with a mischievous look on her face.

"Oh not in this lifetime. In case you haven't noticed I'm a hockey player. We simply don't do that." He argued.

Annabeth waved off his comment, demonstrating a simple one-foot spin, tucking her arms into her body as she built up momentum. She finished wish her arms out wide, staring at him expectedly. He looked back at her as if she'd just completed the world's hardest math problem.

"Yeah…no. Not going to happen Princess." He replied, crossing his arms on his chest. She laughed before skating close to him again.

For you there'll be no crying
For you the sun will be shining
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's all right I know it's right

She unraveled his hands from his chest, gripping them tightly as she skated in a small circle around him. His skates followed reluctantly, and it wasn't long before he began to feel dizzy. He hadn't even been spinning that fast and Annabeth had been the one doing all the work. She came to a sudden stop and he felt the world come in and out of focus, spreading his arms out to catch him if he fell. Annabeth tried her best to hold back her laughter.

"How the hell do you not get dizzy from that?" He asked after everything had settled back into its original place.

She met his eyes, smirking like she had known all along he was going to hate it. "Years of practice." She supplied.

"You want to try something else? I think at this point you could easily handle a layback spin." She joked, knowing full well it had taken her years to perfect that move.

He glared at her before grasping one of her hands and yanking her towards him. She yelped, crashing straight into his chest and nearly losing her balance. For the second time that night she was finding it quite hard to breath at their close proximity.

"I've got a better idea." He said, intertwining their fingers.

And the songbirds keep singing like they
Know the score
And I love you I love you I love you
Like never before

She stared at him expectedly and he smiled.

"Dance with me." He said like it was the most casual thing.

"What?" She asked confusedly.

"Come on" He said, dragging her back to the middle of the rink since they had slightly strayed from the spot.

"In case you haven't noticed Hockey Boy we're on an ice rink. How do you suppose we slow dance?" She stated sarcastically once they had come to a stop.

"Easy. I stand here while you get to be pulled around in a circle like this." He started, gripping her hand tightly and pulling her around him.

Annabeth laughed. "Ok now what?"

"Now you get to pull me around. Slowly this time." He warned. She rolled her eyes, pulling him around her in a small circle.

"And now" He said after facing her once more. "We spin at the same time"

His one hand stayed interlocked with hers as they skated around in a smooth motion. She laughed at his ridiculousness as they continued to skate. Percy took her other hand in his, deciding it was better to skate in front of her backwards. She grinned at the new adjustment and they skated around the outer areas of the rink.

"You know what this reminds me of?" Percy asked, his fingers still laced with hers.

"What?"

"That Happy Gilmore movie. You know, the scene where Happy and Virginia go on that ice-skating date while the song Endless Love is playing and the guy who drives the Zamboni is mouthing the lyrics."

Annabeth choked back her laughter. "What are you talking about?"

Percy's eyes widened in shock and he nearly lost his balance. "Don't tell me you've never seen the movie. Come on you have to know Happy Gilmore. About the one hockey player who joins a golf tournament to earn some money?" He questioned, explaining the plot briefly.

Annabeth shook her head back and forth. "Nope. Never seen it."

He held a hand to his heart like it physically pained him to hear her response. "Well it's a good thing I have it! Emergency movie night. This weekend, my place. I'm not accepting no for an answer."

"Ok" She said after a minute.

"No I don't care how many excuses you make we're watching it and-did you just say yes?" Percy asked, realizing midsentence what the blonde had said.

Annabeth nodded. "It's not like we have practice on Sunday's so what about tomorrow night?" She replied, already thinking about the text she would be sending her mother about staying over at Piper's as a cover up.

To you I would give the world
To you I'd never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's all right I know it's right

Percy smiled like she'd just told him he won the lottery. He pulled her towards him strongly, this time she had been prepared for it. Her hands braced themselves against his hoodie and she looked up at him.

"Hey" he whispered when there was only a centimeter of space between them.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. "Hi"

"You're beautiful" He whispered dreamily, wrapping his arms around her waist.

"Oh my god" Annabeth said back in disbelief as she bit back a smile.

"What?" He asked innocently.

"Nothing. Just that you are possibly the cheesiest person I've ever met."

Percy scoffed in mock hurt. "Um I prefer the term romantic. I'm sorry if I want to let my girlfriend know how much I-"

She leaned forward, cutting him off by placing a sweet kiss to his lips. "I didn't say I didn't like it." She finished.

A Cheshire smirk spread across his features as he closed the gap between them once more. Holding her tightly as the end of the song came through the speakers.

And the songbirds keep singing like they
Know the score
And I love you I love you I love you
Like never before like never before

Like never before

"You can't tell me that movie wasn't hilarious." Percy remarked once the closing credits flashed across the TV screen in the living room.

Annabeth shook her head back and forth. "I'm not surprised you like it. Let's put it that way."

He seemed satisfied with her answer.

It was the following night and Annabeth was over at Percy's apartment complex to watch the movie she had promised him. It was nice to get away from homework for a while considering it was all she did that day. The end of the year was getting closer and closer and it absolutely terrified her.

Seeing as how the weather was warming up, she had arrived in a pair of old cotton shorts and one of Percy's oversized t-shirts. One of her favorite things about movie nights was that they entailed comfy clothing and no effort.

"Hey where's your mom?" She asked after a minute. Embarrassed for not noticing her absence sooner.

"Some cooking seminar for the weekend. Don't ask me why. The woman practically knows how to cook everything already." He joked.

She hummed, leaning her head against his shoulder. "I wish my mom could be more like yours."

Percy smiled sadly, rubbing her arm. "She'll see how great you are one day Princess I promise. When she does, she'll be proud. Till then you have me. I'll always be proud of you." He said sweetly. Annabeth nuzzled her nose further into the crook of his neck in response.

They sat there for a while before he remembered something. It hadn't exactly been in his plans to show her until they had been together a little while longer but at that moment it seemed like the perfect time.

"Come on. I want to show you something." He voiced, standing up and holding his hand out to her. She took it, a confused look on her face. He led them upstairs to his all too familiar bedroom.

He let go of her hand, running excitedly over to his closet to retrieve something. Annabeth stood nearby, leaning against his wooden desk.

"Should I be concerned you're about to pull out a murder weapon and tell me where you hid the body?" She teased, staring at the posters on the walls.

He responded by pulling out a small corkboard and turning back around to face her. She walked over to get a closer look at what he was holding.

In his hands was a little brown cork board covered in pins and small newspaper clippings. A few photos occupied the space and there was still room for a couple more. Her eyes watered as she looked at it. They were all of her. Photos and news headlines from her competitions that season.

"Why…why did you make this?"

Percy scratched the back of his neck nervously. "I started it back when I knew I liked you. Stupid I know and probably creepy too but-"

"No. No I-I love it." She cut him off tearfully as she took the board in her hands and looked over it. He smiled before continuing his explanation.

"I don't know why I did it really. I just-… I'm proud of you Annabeth and if this doesn't prove that then I don't know what does." He stated.

A single tear fell down her cheek and he wiped it away with his thumb. She leaned into his touch, placing the board against the wall next to them.

"You're amazing." She whispered, holding his hand against her cheek.

"Last time I checked it was you who won all these awards Chase not me. You're the amazing one." He replied, his lips ghosting across hers before he closed the gap between them. His touch gentle and loving. She sighed, closing her eyes in bliss.

When he pulled away Annabeth leaned towards him to connect their lips once more. This time there was more passion behind it. She wanted him to know how much she appreciated the gesture, how much he meant to her.

She felt the change in the room as she stepped closer to him. Percy tilted his head, deepening the kiss. She didn't hesitate to let him, their tongues battling for dominance that he won. She moved closer to him if that was even possible, her hands tangling into his messy raven locks and twisting strands around her fingertips. He placed his hands lower, so they were touching her thighs and Annabeth got the message, jumping lightly as he caught her. Her legs wrapped around his waist and he placed her down on top of the wooden desk in the room. She sat upright, her legs touching the glossy wood below her as her back pressed up against the blue wall. Her hands rested against his neck, bringing him to her as he kissed her.

She felt his hands move to the baseline of her shirt, lifting it up just enough so he could feel the skin beneath it. She gasped in between kisses due to the lack of air especially when she felt his hands move up her shirt, massaging the skin on her waist and back leaving a trail of goosebumps.

She detached her swollen lips from his when air became an absolute necessity. Percy's lips moved down to her exposed neck as she tilted her head to give him better access. She sighed at the feeling of his touch slowly leaving a trail open mouthed kisses from her neck to her collarbone. His fingers moved farther up her shirt, putting small amounts of pressure to her upper back. She moaned when his lips reached a sensitive patch of skin near her jaw, closing her eyes and pushing her head back to give him control while he continued to trace patterns on her skin. One of her hands detangled itself from his hair, holding the side of his face that was kissing her neck. Every thought left her mind as he continued his actions.

"Percy…" She whispered breathlessly.

He pulled away from her neck, keeping their faces as close as possible whilst looking at her. His breathing was heavy as was hers. She felt the ghost of his lips near hers as she kept her eyes closed. He tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear before leaning in to kiss her on the mouth briefly. She rubbed their noses together and wrapped her arms tighter around his shoulders, gripping the material on his shirt and pulling him in so she could place subtle kisses on his neck. Percy smiled against her skin, kissing her shoulder where the oversized t-shirt had fell to the side. After a few seconds she yanked at the bottom of his cotton shirt. He complied, pulling the material up over his head. He eyed her questioningly and she nodded, letting him pull the already half ridden shirt over her head leaving her in a grey bra.

His lips immediately went back to her neck once the shirt was off, his head swinging around to the other side of her neck this time. Her legs wrapped around his torso and he picked her up once more, moving them over to his bed without breaking the connection.

She felt the soft material of the pillows under her head as he crawled on top of her. She brought his lips back to hers, kissing him desperately and moving her hands down his bare chest. His muscles contracted beneath her touch. He groaned into her mouth and Annabeth thought she had never heard anything more attractive in her life.

He moved to kiss along the front of her chest, his arms bent on either side of her face so that he wasn't putting all his weight on her. Annabeth's breath hitched and she arched her back slightly, closing her eyes once again as she sighed. He kissed her bare skin down to her stomach and she bit her lip before bringing his head back up to hers. She couldn't hear anything but the sounds of their labored breathing. Couldn't feel anything but her boyfriend's touch. She didn't care about anything else but them in that moment.

Slowly, she moved to take one of his hands in hers as he kissed her lips. He adjusted his weight onto one arm, and she brought his hand lower. She placed it subtlety on the waist band of her cloth shorts. He seemed to get the message almost right away, his swollen lips detaching themselves from hers as he looked her in the eye seriously. They had never gone past the stage they were at now.

She opened her eyes to meet a pair of sea green ones, a darker shade than they usually were.

"Annabeth…" He said, taking a moment to catch his breath. "Are…are you sure? We don't have to do this. We can wait if you're not ready." He finished, his voice hoarse and deep.

She stared up at the boy above her, pushing a stray piece of hair from his face as she combed it back. She smiled, wondering how she found someone so sweet and understanding. Someone who always put her feelings before his. He would never do anything to hurt her, not on purpose. She loved him without a doubt.

Her hair rubbed against the pillows as she nodded her head. "I'm sure." She said just loud enough for him to hear as she pulled his forehead down to press against hers.

There was a brief moment where it felt as if time and space had stopped around them. Their breaths intermingled in the small gap between their lips. She cradled his cheek, holding him there and meeting his eyes with an expression of both nervousness and confidence. Percy stared right back at her, searching her features for any hesitance.

"Just…go slow?" She whispered nervously whilst trying not to blush and not breaking the intense gaze he was giving her.

Percy nodded, brushing his nose against hers affectionately. She hummed contently at the sweet gesture.

"I love you" He murmured.

"I love you" She repeated before his lips slowly kissed hers once more.

So…that happened haha. Again, I only write the build ups to scenes like the one you just read but what did you guys think of chapter 42 aka part 2 of the finale? And what about the Eva Cassidy song? I swear it gets me every time. Happy Gilmore is a cute movie I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Or you guys could look up the ice skating scene from the movie on Youtube since that's what I was inspired by. I'm sure I've given everyone enough Percabeth to sustain them at least for a little while! Please let me know your thoughts. I know a lot of you were sending me messages and reviewing that you wanted a make out/ first time scene and I hope I delivered lol.

Part 3 (the last part) of the finale will be posted sometime soon. I can't promise within a week like this one since I still have one more scene to write in it before editing but I'm going to try. There will also be an epilogue, but it will be very short and probably not posted for a while considering I haven't started it. Till then read my new story Time After Time! Love you all!
