PLEASE READ!
Hola my amazing, wonderful, dedicated readers! Since each and every one of you have been waiting so patiently for the Epilogue of this story to come out, I decided to give you all a gift this holiday season. Unfortunately, the epilogue is not done because I have so many ideas and I haven't been able to completely sort them out yet. I'm not planning on making it super long but besides my jumbled-up ideas I don't have much written. I've also been super busy with college. I finally finished the first semester of my junior year and it was…interesting to say the least. These are all such tough times we're living in so I hope this extra little chapter/scene I've written gives you a bit of an escape.
This scene takes place after Percabeth has graduated high school but before the epilogue of course. I wrote almost all of it in one sitting because I felt inspired in the moment (sorry if there are typos). It will give you guys a little bit of an idea for what to expect in the epilogue/what's happened in the time skip. It's also super fluffy.
So Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone! Enjoy!

Percy sighed, bringing a hand up and running his fingers through his slightly damp messy black hair. With his other hand he pushed the metal key into the lock on the door. With a small 'click!' the door unlocked, and he made his way into his apartment.
It had been a long and exhausting practice. Coach Davidson was practically killing them with all the back-to-back drills they had to do. He should've been used to it from his past experiences of getting coached by Hedge, but he was surprised he'd lasted as long as he had. College hockey was no joke. As tiring as it was though, he loved every second of it. The wind in his face, gliding across the ice, the satisfaction of seeing the puck hit the back netting of the goal, all of it.
The final game of the season was in two days and you could practically feel the intensity and excitement in the air all around campus. If they won this game their team would become the champions of the NCAA division for the season. Not to mention there were going to be NHL recruiters at the game searching for new players. Percy had never wanted something so bad. The stakes were high.
He was beyond nervous and the one thing that could possibly calm him down was over a thousand miles away. He frowned, shrugging his duffle bag off and placing his keys on the rack before walking further into the apartment. He missed his girlfriend more than anything. Not getting to see her in person everyday was torture but somehow they'd managed to make it halfway through college by video chatting constantly and seeing each other during breaks.
Annabeth was currently a student taking classes at NYU while simultaneously training for the next winter Olympics. It would be her first time competing and Percy was beyond proud that she'd qualified. His girlfriend was amazing and the world deserved to see that.
He just wished they got to see each other more.
He lazily made his way into his small kitchen. Normally this would be around the time he ransacked the fridge after practice with his roommate but not today. Frank had a date with Hazel, and they met up right after hockey practice so he was all on his own.
Percy still couldn't get over the fact that of all the universities in the country, Frank Zhang, the guy he'd played against during his last hockey season as a high school player was now his teammate and closest college buddy at the University of Minnesota. After just one year of playing on the same team together they'd decided to become roommates and had lived together all of sophomore year and now junior year. His girlfriend Hazel had also become one of his closest friends. He treated her like a little sister and even though she always scoffed at his teasing, he could tell she loved it.
That being said, Percy opened the door to the fridge before taking out a bottle of Gatorade. He twisted the cap off and took a sip of the cold liquid, sighing in relief as he closed his eyes.
"Do I need to give you two a moment?" A female voice echoed into the room.
Percy froze, instantly recognizing the voice. His back was facing her and even though he couldn't see her he could tell she was smiling and trying to hold back a laugh. A huge grin unconsciously made its way to his lips. In one quick movement he spun himself around to face her. His eyes were filled with disbelief the second he focused on her. Her perfect blond hair and stormy grey eyes.
It took about another 0.2 seconds for his attention to go to what she was wearing. She had on one of his college hockey jerseys. As always, she was practically swimming in it because of how large it was and it went down to her mid thighs. The sleeves went way past her arms. But the best part of the whole outfit was that besides the jersey…she wasn't wearing anything else.
Percy could practically feel his heart beating out of his chest at an unhealthy pace. He was pretty sure his jaw was hanging open in a very unattractive way, but he didn't have the mental capability to fix that.
"Hey Hockey Boy" She said innocently, as if she wasn't doing anything remotely out of the ordinary.
Percy was one hundred convinced he was living in a dream. She looked like an absolute goddess standing in front of him and he doesn't know how long he stood there staring at her speechless. They hadn't seen each other since summer, and it was now halfway through the school year.
"You-….I-….Jersey….here….what-" He stumbled, trying to get one coherent thought out.
She raised her eyebrows amusedly. "You'd think a third-year college student would have a better vocabulary" She teased, playing with the hem of the jersey.
Right after the words left her mouth Percy couldn't take it any longer. He slammed the bottle of Gatorade he forgot he was holding down on the kitchen table, walking in big strides across the room to where she was standing.
When he finally reached her she gasped in surprise as he crashed his lips to hers. His arms instinctively wrapped themselves around her waist as he walked forwards until she was pinned tightly up against the nearest wall. She sighed when her back hit the wall, closing her eyes and delving her fingers in his hair.
"Annabeth…" He mumbled in between kisses. He felt her smile against his lips as she pulled at the hairs near the base of his neck.
"What are you doing here?" He asked breathily before kissing her once more.
"When did you…how did you even…get into my apartment?" He questioned, connecting their lips every few words.
Annabeth finally managed to pull away, smiling giddily. "You going to give me a chance to answer Jackson?"
Percy cast her a mischievous glance, nodding his head before leaning down to kiss her neck, her cheeks, her nose, her eyelids, her forehead. Annabeth giggled in delight.
"I got here about an hour ago…used the spare key you keep under the mat…. way too obvious by the way"
"Hmmf" Percy huffed as he continued his assault of butterfly kisses on her face. The sound of her melodious laughter filled the apartment.
"Changed into your jersey and just…. waited for you to come home" She sighed, biting her lip as he continued placing light pecks to her skin.
"As for what I'm doing here…I missed you, stupid" She said sincerely, pulling his head up to meet her eyes once more. He was breathing heavily and so was she.
He smiled and leaned his forehead against hers. "Missed you too Princess" He managed to get out.
Annabeth closed her eyes and hummed, nudging her nose against his. "You didn't think I'd miss your biggest game, did you? I'd never miss the chance to see my boyfriend get recruited for the NHL."
Percy chuckled, placing a chaste kiss to her lips before leaning his forehead against hers once more. Her being there meant everything to him. He knew she must be busy with classes and training, but she'd found time to visit and he was beyond happy.
"I love you" He voiced.
"I love you too" She replied almost automatically.
Being so close to her was driving him mad. The lemon scented shampoo he loved so much, her blond ringlets falling lazily against her shoulders, the small bits of laughter the escaped her every few minutes. It was intoxicating.
"So, what do you want to do?" She asked innocently, her face scrunched up in an adorable way as she pulled away from him and detached herself from the wall behind her. He could hear the amusement in her voice.
Percy barely let her get out of arms reach before he pulled her back up against him. She laughed, looking into his eyes with a hint of mischief.
"Oh, I think you know. Unless of course you show up to everybody's apartments wearing nothing but their oversized jersey." He joked, staring at her intensely as he interlaced their fingers.
"Only for a certain hockey player" She replied, placing her hands on his shoulders.
The grin widened on his face. He leaned forwards until their lips were mere centimeters apart. She closed her eyes and they stayed that way for a moment.
"How did you know Frank wasn't going to come back with me?" He asked, suddenly curious.
"Who do you think gave Hazel the date idea?" She said coyly. Percy shook his head in disbelief. She was incredible.
"You're looking way too sexy right now Princess" He whispered under his breath when there was just a tiny gap between them. He brought a hand up to cup the side of her face.
Annabeth instantly felt her cheeks heat up and her teasing attitude was suddenly replaced by a shy demeanor as she opened her eyes.
His sea green eyes stared deeply into hers. Gods he was attractive. There was no way girls weren't throwing themselves at him just as they had in high school.
"Y-yeah?" She stuttered out, suddenly feeling her legs turn to Jell-O as he ran his thumb across her skin.
"Hmm" He confirmed, nodding his head in response.
It took all her strength to get the next few words out without stumbling.
"Well what are you gonna do about it Hockey Boy?"
Needless to say, they didn't do much talking after that.
