The people in this chapter are Scott, Virgil, John, Gordon, and Alan. The Tracy wolves in the chapter are Snowy, the Birthday boy ( Jamien) and Spiky.
The year is 2059, and the Tracy family is getting the island for someone's birthday. While everyone was getting ready, Virgil was in his room with Jamien. Virgil was changing clothes, and Jamien was lying on Virgil's bed just watching him. Finally, Virgil put on his jeans and shirt and look over at Jamien.
" What," Virgil said while looking at Jamien.
Jamien let out a whine and wagged his tail. Virgil walked over to Jamien and blended down in front of the bed, looking at Jamien.
" Happy Birthday, Jamien", Virgil said while putting a new collar around Jamien's neck.
" Good boy", Virgil said while standing up.
Virgil walked over to the doorway and stopped in the middle. Jamien jumped off the bed and walked over to him, and sat down.
" Wait here, Jamien", Virgil said and walked off to the lounge room.
Virgil walked into the lounge room, where everyone was waiting for Jamien to come down. Everyone was over at the piano with their presents sitting on the floor, and there were balloons on the floor and walls. Virgil walked over to the piano and sat down on the chair.
" Ok", Virgil said while taking a deep breath.
" Jamien came here", Virgil calls out.
Jamien heard Virgil call out his name; Jamien ran down from Virgil's bedroom into the lounge room. Jamien ran into the lounge room, stopped in the middle of the room, and sat down with his back straight, looking at everyone in the room.
" Jamien piano", Virgil said to Jamien.
Jamien stood back up, walked over to the piano, jumped on the chair, and then on the piano. Jamien layed down in the middle of the piano and look at Virgil.
" Cute collar, Jamien", Kayo said, looking at Jamien.
" Thanks, that was my present for Jamien", Virgil said to Kayo.
Jamien was wearing a green collar with a black bow tie in the middle of it; everybody just laughed. Scott picked up his present for Jamien and handed it to Virgil.
" Happy Birthday, Jamien", Scott said while patting Jamien on the head.
Virgil unwrapped the present and saw that Scott had gotten Jamien a green food bowl with his name on it.
" Thanks, Scott", Virgil said with a smile on his face.
John was next and gave Virgil Jamien's present. While Virgil was unwrapping, John gave Jamien a treat. John had gotten Jamien a birthday cake toy that sings a birthday when you play with it.
" Thanks, John Jamien will play with this", Virgil said while sitting the toy next to Jamien.
Next was Gordon. He handed Virgil the present and walked over to Jamien, and kissed him on the head. Virgil unwrapped the present and pulled out some Elk Antlers, Beef Kneecaps, Beef Ribs, and lamb bones.
" I know how much Jamien loves chewing, so got him those", Gordon said to Virgil.
" Smart thinking, thanks", Virgil said while hugging his brother.
Alan was last, but his presented was outside; everyone followed Alan outside to the pool where the present was. Alan's present was a short surfboard from Jamien.
" I know Virgil, you love surfing and that you wish that Jamien could surf with you well now he can with his board", Alan said with excitement in his voice.
" Thank you, Alan", Virgil said while hugging Alan.
They celebrate all night for Jamien's birthday. Later that night, in Virgil's bedroom, Virgil was lying on his bed watching some home videos. When he heard Scott walking up to his room with Snowy and Jamien. Scott knocks on the door and pushes it open. Virgil turns his head to look at Scott and then look back at the tv. Scott walked into the room, walked over to Virgil's bed, and sat down at the foot of the bed. Scott looked up at the tv and saw his dad filming him and Virgil when they were younger.
" Remember that day, Dad trying to film us, and we kept coving the lense with our hands", Scott said while a smile on his face.
" Yeah", Virgil said with a sad and down voice.
" What's wrong", Scott said looking at Virgil.
"It's the first birthday that Dad wasn't here to celebrate with", Virgil said while sitting up.
" I know, but your baby boy is two years old", Scott said, trying to make things better.
Scott placed his hand on Virgil's shoulder when Jamien came running into the room with Snowy chasing him. Jamien jumped up on the bed and crawled up next to Virgil. They both looked at the wolves and laughed. Scott stood up and walked out of the room with Snowy. Virgil pat Jamien on the head, turned off the tv and went to bed.
