PREFACE.

Some years have passed since Alien vs. Predator: Requiem was released in cinemas. The sequel to the first AVP 2004 movie by Paul W. Anderson promised to be a way more violent and close to the titular creatures, with an R classification instead of the first one's PG-13. However, it was disappointing due to poor writing and lack of likable characters. Plus, the movie was so dark you can barely see any of the action.

That's why I decided to write this fan fiction, which is a kind of reboot/novelization of AVP: Requiem using some of the deleted material from the script and following the novelization of the first Alien vs. Predator movie by Marc Cerasini.

I did a few changes to the story, the most important is I shifted the pace where the action takes place to the resort town of Crested Butte, as Gunnison didn't match the location depicted in the movie. Crested Butte is more isolated and surrounded by mountains, besides it has only one access road. Second, The predalien wasn't birthed from Scar, as I considered a big plothole having him impregnating and then wounded in the chest by the Queen. Instead, the Predalien came from a previously failed visit and had stowed on a drifting ship, until IT was discovered by members of Scar's clan. This failed expedition was the cause of the Vela Incident, which is mentioned in the AVP novelization and investigated by Lex's own father. And the third change is the introduction of the Predators and the OWLF's POV, explaining their real motivations.

I tried of course, to establish a better connection with the rest of Predator, Alien movies and my own expanded universe. Don't be surprised if one or more characters made a cameo there and I promise, you can actually see this one.
