In this chapter, all of Tracy's boys have a beach day and test out the drone.
It was 2:00 pm, and the temperate was 28 degrees celsius. Meanwhile, down at the beach, Scott, Gordon, and John were sitting down on the stand, and Virgil was helping Alan with his surfing. Scott was sitting in the shade with John sitting next to him, but Gordon was lying in the sun. Scott and John watched Virgil and Alan surfing until Snowy and Spiky ran in front of them; Spiky fell into a hole that Jamien was digging in. Spiky landed on top of Jamien, and Jamien growled at Spiky. Then, spiky climbed out of Jamien's hole and ran straight to John. Gordon got up and walked over to Scott, and John sat down in front of his brothers.
Later that day, Alan and Virgil came in for surfing, layed their boards on the ground, and walked over to the others. Alan walked over to Gordon and sat down next to him in the shade. Virgil walked over to the esky and grabbed a drink. Virgil sat down on the stand behind Scott in the shade. The wolves follow and cuddle up near each other in the shade.
"How was it," John asked both Alan and Virgil.
" The waves are rough but not that rough", Alan answered John.
Virgil was looking down at the ground when Jamien walked up to him. Jamien laid his head down on Virgil's lap and looked up at him.
" What, Jamien?" Virgil asked Jamien.
Jamien whined and looked at Virgil with sad eyes.
" Did we bring toys for the wolves to play with?" Virgil asked the others.
" No, but Gordon bought the drone down to try out", Scott said with his eyes closed.
" Jamien can't play with the drone; he will break it", Virgil answered Scott.
" No, but Jamien can chase after the drone", Scott answered back to Virgil.
" I guess so; where is the drone? Virgil asked Scott.
" Where is the drone," Virgil said while getting up.
" I don't know, ask Gordon", Scott said to Virgil.
Virgil looked over at Gordon, who was sitting in the shade with Bridget lying next to him.
" Gordon", Virgil said aloud so that Gordon could hear him.
" Yes", Gordon said while getting a fright for Virgil.
" Sorry Gordon, I don't mean to frighten you, but where is the drone? Virgil asked Gordon.
" It's over at the esky, and it is behind the esky", Gordon said while rubbing his hand over his face.
" Thanks", Virgil said and left Gordon to lay in the shade.
Virgil walked over to where the esky was sitting, and Virgil moved the esky to get to the drone. When Virgil moved, the drone was sitting in the stand with its controller sitting next to it. Virgil picked up the drone and carried it out to the open. Virgil sat the drone down on the ground and synced up to his phone to the drone. The drone's propellers started spinning, and the drone left the ground; however, when the drone started, the wolves all looked over at where the noise came from. The wolves went back to laying out in the sun, but Jamien got up and walked over to Virgil. Virgil heard someone walking behind him. Virgil looked over his shoulder, and it was John.
" Hello John", Virgil said while turning back to look at the drone.
" How you are doing with flying that drone? John asked Virgil.
" Good", Virgil answered.
" But it no Thunderbird 2", Virgil said and laughed.
John also laughed.
John saw out the cover of his eyes Jamien walking up to both of them. Jamien sat down in front of Virgil and looked up at him, wondering what that thing was in his hand. Virgil got down on his knees and held out a hand. Jamien walked over and rubbed his head into Virgil's hand, and snuggled in closer to Virgil. Virgil held his phone out in front of him because Jamien was snuggled in front of him. Jamien turned around to look at the thing that Virgil was holding with his two hands. Jamien looked at the thing, then looked at Virgil and tilted his head.
" What? Virgil said while looking at Jamien.
Jamien tilted his head at Virgil and then stand up and look up at the drone flying above him. Virgil landed the drone on the ground so Jamien could see what the flying thing was. The drone touched the ground, and Jamien walked over to the drone and started sniffing it. Jamien sniffed the top of the drone and saw a red light mounted on the top of the drone, but Jamien wasn't interested in the camera but the propellors. Virgil moved the propellors from his phone, and Jamien did a play blow looking at the drone and waiting for something to happen.
Jamien started barking at the drone and biting the propellor blade each time they moved. Finally, the propellors stop spinning, and Jamien sniffed the left of the propellor, trying to finger out what this thing is. Jamien gabbed the left propellor in his mouth and ran away for Virgil and John.
" NO JAMIEN" both Virgil and John yelled out.
John runs after Jamien, and Virgil stayed back. Virgil started laughing at John, sat down on the stand, and watched his brother run after Jamien. Finally, John stops chasing Jamien, and Jamien went under a low hanging tree. Jamien dropped the drone on the wet sand under the tree. Jamine looks down at the drone and lay down next to it. Jamien played with the drone for 5 minutes unite he heard Virgil calling his name.
" Jamien, we are going home, came on", Virgil called out.
Jamien heard and came running out from under the tree. Jamien ran past Virgil and headed up back to the house with the others. Virgil saw that Jamien wasn't carrying the drone with him. The others left, but Virgil stayed behind to find the drone. Virgil walked over to the low hanging tree that Jamien came running out for. Virgil lifted the low hanging breach and saw the drone lying in the wet sand.
" Oh, Jamien", Virgil said while letting out a little laugh.
Virgil grabbed the drone and started heading back to the house.
