Three weeks have passed since Virgil and Jamien's holiday. When John called, Virgil and Jamien were sitting over at the piano and Scott and Gordon with their wolves were sitting on the couch.

" We have a situation", John said to the boys.

" What is it, John? Scott asked.

" Own old friend Brandon Berrenger is missing in the grand canyon on the south rim trail", John answered.

Scott rolled his eyes and sighed.

" Right then, it looks like Thunderbirds Are Go", Scott said while standing up and walking over to his launch tub.

Virgil walked over to the painting of a rocket and stood with his back up against it. Which tips him almost upside down and straps him into a special harness; his IR garb is put onto him, and the harness is rotated upside down. The tunnel extends over TB2's top entry door, and Virgil grabs the handlebars at the end of the rail, releasing him from the harness and dropping him into the cockpit. Virgil manually closes the big round door and puts himself in the pilot's chair. Modules 2 pass under TB2 until Virgil gets the correct one, and TB2 sinks over it and is raised. At the bottom hatch, Gordon, Bridget and Jamien lifted into the cockpit. Gordon had his IR garb, and both wolves had their IR harness and collars. Gordon ran to the co-pilot chair and sat down, but poor Jamien wanted to sit in that chair too. Bridget jumped up on the back seats behind Virgil and cuddled up.

Jamien started whining at Gordon.

" No, Jamien, I was here first", Gordon said to Jamien.

Virgil stops Thunderbird 2 from moving down the runway and turn around to look and Gordon and Jamien.

" Jamien came here", Virgil said to Jamien.

Jamien was looking at Gordon when Virgil called for him. Jamien turned to look at Virgil and slowly walked over to him.

When Jamien reached Virgil, he sat down, looking at the ground. Virgil blinded down at pick-up Jamien, sat him on his lap, and turned back to the steering wheel. The rock covering the entrance to the hangar opens, and Thunderbird 2 then rotates around and begins to taxi out. The palm trees lining the runway lift out of the way, and TB2 gets to the end of the runway. The launching ramp lifts TB2 into the correct launch angle, and the wings fold down into the flight setting. The blast pit opens, the engines ignite and TB2 launches.

It takes TB2 3 hours to get on the scene. TB2 landed next to TB1, which was sitting on the south side rim trail of the canyon. Both boys exited out of TB2 and walked over to Scott, but Jamien and Bridget ran over to Snowy, sitting next to Scott. When Gordon and Virgil reached Scott, they saw a map over the grand canyon on a large rock.

" Right, John told me that Brandon was last seen on the south rim trail walking track", Scott said while pointing his fingers at the map.

" We all need to spill up and search different areas on the trail", Gordon said while looking at the map.

" Right. Gordon and Bridget search South Kaibab Trail to Skeleton Point", Scott said, pointing at the map.

" Okay, Scott, let's go, Bridget", Gordon said and runoff.

" Snowy and I will search Grandview Trail to Horseshoe Mesa," Scott said to Virgil.

" Virgil and Jamien, you will search Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point", Scott said while looking at the map.

" Right came on, Jamien", Virgil said to Jamien while taking the map of Bright Angel Trail to Plateau Point.

Virgil walked back to Module 2 and pulled out a GoPro to attach Jamien's harness. Virgil also clipped a lead on Jamien's harness to stop him from runoff and brought a backpack with water, ropes and first aid. Then, Virgil and Jamien walked over to the sign that had written Bright Angel Trail and followed the trail. After 2 hours walk along the Bright Angel Trail, Virgil and Jamien reached Maricopa point. When they got to Maricopa point, Jamien started sniffing the ground and looking around.

" Jamien smelling something", Virgil said over the radio.

" FAB, " Gordon and Scott said over the radio to Virgil.

" John, I am going to let you off the leash. Can you watch the feed from his camera" Virgil said over the radio to John in the space station.

" Standing by to receive", John said over the radio to Virgil.

Virgil kneeled next to Jamien and held out in front of Jamien one for Brandon's gloves. Jamien started sniffing the glove. While Jamien was sniffing the glove, Virgil turned on the GoPro. Jamien stopped and then started sniffing the ground. Virgil unclipped the leash from the harness and followed behind Jamien. Virgil and Jamien walked 1 mile when Jamien stopped and sniffed the ground again. Jamien turned his head to the left side of the trail and walked over to the left side of the track. Virgil watched, confused at would Jamien was doing. Finally, Jamien reached the left side and looked down. The left side of the trail dropped off with rocks sticking out.

Jamien placed his front legs on a rock sticking out and looked at something.

" John can you see what's got Jamien's attention," Virgil said over the radio.

John pulled up the live footage from the GoPro and zoomed in on the area that Jamien was looking at. John couldn't see anything in the direction that Jamien was looking. John zooms out.

" I see nothing down there", John said over the radio.

While the boys were taking over the radio, Jamien jumped down the rock with his front legs. Virgil watched Jamien jump down, run over to the trail's edge, and find Jamien standing on the rock. Virgil kneeled and looked at Jamien. Jamien looked at Virgil and then looked down at the big dropped off.

" John, I am going the lower Jamien down there", Virgil said while pulling out the rope from the backpack.

" What are you sure? John said with a worried tone.

" Yes, just watch the GoPro footage if something goes wrong", Virgil said to John.

The rope had a clipped attack to it. Virgil clipped this to Jamien's harness. Jamien looked at Virgil and turned around. There was another rock to Jamien's right, and Jamien hopped over to the rock and started descending. Jamien reached the bottom and caught the scent again. The clip that attached the rope to Jamien's harness came loose, and Jamien followed the smell.

" Jamien has reached the bottom and has the scent again, Virgil", John said over the radio to Virgil.

" Gordon and Scott Jamien has a scent. You need to get Virgil over Bright Angel Trail now", John said to Gordon and Scott.

" FAB", They both said.

Meanwhile, Jamien has been running, following the scent. Jamien had run 10 miles before he reached a cave that leads into canyons. Jamien slowly walked over to the cave opening, sniffed the air, and caught Brandon's scent coming from the shelter. Jamien ran straight into the cave, opening and following the smell. John was watching the footage when it went black.

The boys decided to go to the cave that Jamien was searching for. Meanwhile, Jamien ran into the cave, following the scent and ample space and found Brandon sleeping on the ground. Jamien walked up to Brandon and sat beside him, looking at the opening. Four hours have passed since Jamien found Brandon. Jamien lifted his head because he heard a noise from inside the cave. Jamien got to his feet, walked over to the doorway, and saw Snowy, Scott, and Virgil walk towards him. Jamien ran back to Brandon and looked at him. Scott walked over to Brandon and started checking him.

" Brandon Brandon", Scott said while looking at him.

Brandon's eyes move but don't open.

" Snowy came here", Scott said while looking down at Brandon.

" Snowy give him a kiss", Scott said.

Snowy looked down at the teenager and licked him on the face.

Brandon woke up and was looking around, confused.

" Hi Brandon", Scott said.

" Hi guys, long time no see", Brandon replied.

Brandon stood up and looked at everyone.

" Why are you in this cave? Virgil asked Brandon.

" I was mountain bike riding when I saw a cougar. I thought it saw me, so I hid in this cave and fell asleep", Brandon answered.

" Come, let's get back and go back to the ships", Scott said to all of them.

Everyone left the cave and, for 4 hours, reached back to the Thunderbird ships. Bridget and Snowy ran over to the vessel and boarded them when they arrived, but Jamien stayed with the boys.

"Thank you for saving me", Brandon said to the boys.

" No problem, it's its job", Gordon replied.

Brandon left, walking towards his car. Gordon started walking back to Thunderbird 2, but Scott watched Brandon go.

" You okay, Scott? Virgil asked while looking at him.

" Yeah, I am thinking about what is going to the next mission where we need to rescue Brandon again", Scott answered.

Scott turned around and walked back to Thunderbird 1. Virgil was watching when looking down at Jamien, sitting next to him.

" Came Jamien, let's go home", Virgil said to Jamien.

Both Thunderbird crafts left heading home when John called in over the radio.

" How did the rescue go? John asked Virgil.

" Good, I'll take it that Scott's not answering his radio", Virgil said to John.

" Yep", John answered.

" Where's Gordon? You don't leave him again? John asked Virgil.

" No, I see him in the module with Jamien taking the camera off his harness", Virgil answered.

" You might need Brains to look at the camera", John said.

" Why? Virgil asked John.

" When Jamien went into the cave, the camera feed went black, but when guys leave the cave, the feed never came back", John answered.

" Okay, thanks, John", Virgil answered and turned off the radio.

Gordon walked back into the co-pit and sat down in the co-pilot seat.

" How did you go? Virgil asked Gordon.

" After 5 minutes of chasing him, I caught him and pulled the camera off", Gordon answered.

" But the camera might need a new lens", Gordon said while looking down at his hands.

" Wait, new lens, why? Virgil asked, confused.

Gordon held out his hands and opened them. In Gordon's hand was the camera with the lens smashed.

" That's why", Gordon answered.

Virgil took the camera out of Gordon's hands, placed it in his pocket, and kept flying home.
