Chapter 13: Lord Help Me!
Meredith didn't hear the front door open. Not hearing the loud creak of the rusted hinges or the turn of the metal knob that had been touched so many times since she had lived in apartment 308. A sound she had grown accustomed to, hearing an individual leave and enter the apartment.
Aaron would always go for his early morning runs while she would lazily sit in the living room calling out incoherent words from the early time set. Not even the glorious colors of pink hues in the sky had made their way to the west, Seattle, Washington. Now it was dark, the stars shimmering in the moonlight from where she sat, the sheer white blinds causing a natural source of light from the new moon.
She didn't hear the footsteps of the masculine figure that silhouetted on her living room wall. No sound that enhanced her awardees of the one moment. There was no step of two-inch-high heels she was sporting that night, no hard soled that would squeak and leave marks of dark rubber. Nothing, but silent. The silent motion of feet coming close to her.
She felt the presence and saw the large shadow of a muscular physique and strong prominent stance that sent shivers down her spine, her palms turning cold. Afraid of turning around, the only shield being the soft lumpy couch she was located and once was comfortably seated. No source of self-defense near her except the ball point pen that having a business number engraved at the round side from subtle advertisement in her own home. In her head, her full thought head filled with many thoughts, many scarce images and horrific sounds, sending signals to every part of her body functioning a meek aftermath. Her body tense, her heartbeat pumping out blood twice as fast, hard enough to the thump on her rising chest. Her lungs filled with air as she stopped breathing for that millisecond taking the time to actually use the gift and purpose of her ear.
Meredith knew right away. It was the deep rumble in his chest every time an intake of breath entered his pathetic excuse of a body. It was him. The man she hated since the day she had entered his car, since she had run home in the rain crying out for help, for compassion, for revenge wallowing in pity and embarrassment. He was the reason she had a silent fear that was not talked about, not even mentioned until the prior hour when she was seated in the dirty floor bar across from the hospital. Emerald City Bar. He was here.
He was here, those three words flashing in her head. A red sign with flashing light emitted from the background. HE WAS HERE! The quick sound of oxygen filling her lungs only to be exhaled in panic to carbon dioxide that fed the plants to continue in their growth of photosynthesis. Inhale and quickly exhaled, a sound that mixed with the fear in the air that she could feel if it were just a mile away. Snickers knew. The soft, playful bunny that hopped around the soft carpeted floor that hadn't been washed in years, fluffy fur that brushed against her foot in attempt to hide under the couch.
Even he knew that that Mommy was scared shitless she could feel her natural hue of pink cheek and upper cheek bones had turned to a pale white that could have been an exact color palette sold in cosmetic stores for the dead. Pale and lifeless.
Her head turned slowly, the slow churn of gears in an unoiled machine trying to make a full round of work. All I need to write is a bitter song to make me better. Much better.
Her breath caught. It wasn't a reaction that was good not the kind when she saw Derek walk into her bedroom in the dark night after a long shift at the hospital. She met his eyes holding nothing gentle, nothing that made her tense and shaken body ease from her current position. The smirk on his lips menacing, filled with a plan that was already making her body scream in pain. His body ready to pounce like a vicious tiger ready to consume its prey.
"Hello Meri." He whispered, taking a small and shaky step towards her, physically marking the middle point of the distance from her and where he entered the apartment. Parker. His clothes disarrayed on his body, nearly falling off like slippery butter. Clasped in his clenched fists was a bottle of amber liquid. Scotch. She knew the large circular bottle with a square base that could sit properly on any flat surface.
Halfway done, the content of the thick, clear glass bottle, almost falling from his slippery reach. Parker had rammed his hand near the sharp corner, leaving a small cut, deep, revealing the throbbing red skin inside his hand bleeding out.
Meredith quickly moved off her seat, backing away from the wobbly body in front of her. Green eyes watching the predator carefully as well as herself trying to keep her being safe in her territory. Her home. Nearly tripping on the folded part of the carpeted floor, she gasped in shock, feeling much more scared, much more cautious than ever.
"Wh..what are you doing here?" she asked, quietly taking small steps back until she hit the wall.
"I came here for you." He chuckled, throwing the bottle towards her. Meredith flinching as it crashed into millions of fragments. A small shriek left her dry lips. His steps were loud, slamming into the hardwood floor until he reached the dark carpet that quieted the thumps. "Came all the way here for you." He slurred; his eyes open slightly into small slits. Dark blonde stubble sprinkled around his jaw line. Rough. He was obviously drunk, very drunk that he couldn't walk in a straight line.
Parker's distance came shorter and shorter, her breath quickening faster than the factors of the number one hundred, his face and his whole body truanting close to her. The smile with the essence of a snarl becoming wider on his face. So close. He groaned in frustration, his arms opening until there were put out straight out of his body ready to measure in width. She had passed him but the extra-large piece of material on her light grey tank top gave him access to pull her back close to him until she was pressed against his body.
She cried out loudly, her wide and fearful eyes watering into salty tears that traced down her soft porcelain face. His head quickly dodged down to her neck, the rough stubble on his chin and the dry lips of his meeting her soft lavender skin sucking and nipping eagerly leaving a dark red mark on her body as she struggled against him.
"Please!" she cried out in pain, feeling his teeth sink into her fair flesh and hitting a nerve that ached inside. "Please…stop it Parker! Stop!" she sobbed, her clenched fists hitting his broad shoulders hard enough to make him swear against her, grasping her forearms tight enough to leave a purple bruise of his large rough hands. The same large hand pushed her against the hard ivory painted wall. The wooden frame hitting the ground first before the glass shredded into tiny pieces revealing a glassy image of the newly taken picture of her, Derek and Aaron sitting in her tiny bed. Meredith kissing Derek on the cheek, her arm thrown across Aaron while he laid on her lap, his arm scene against the rectangular peak of the picture since he had taken it himself. It was broken, her body pinned against him as his hand wandered her. She had not consented. She would never consent to this torture that was put upon her.
"God Meri, you smell so good." He murmured, his breath smelling much like hard liquor that she could have become hammered just having her small face in contact with his open mouth. His face smothered in her nook licking the skin, lapsing at the wonderful taste he had been imagining since he had seen her in the little black dress back at the Monkey Bar a week ago. "I want you." He said loudly cupping her breast through her shirt while she cried out trying to fight the body that had her sandwiched against the dry wall and the body of her former rapist.
"Parker! Pl…please stop. I'll…I'll…do anything. Anything. Please Parker!" she sobbed in pain as he caught her soft nipple and squeezed it lightly. Her small hand tried shoving him off her, she knew it was a done deal but she wasn't going to let him get his way. Not now. Not after everything that happened in the past that made her skin crawl. "Stop!" she cried, her fingers digging into his skin as he yelled in pain shoving her back against the wall once he noticed her getaway.
"You shut up! You hear me Meri! Do you? Shut the fuck up." He spat near her face, grasping her naked thigh against his waist and pushing his groin against her pink underwear covered crotch. She could feel his arousal, his hard member that taunted her, whispering the horrid details it was going to become as soon as he would enter her resisting body that was held against her will. His bottom jean clad half held her, feeling quite comfortable between the warm spot between her long, smooth legs. His right hand that had the open wound intact on the palm held her face, squeezing it roughly making her look at him in the eyes. He could feel the hot tears that trailed down her face leaving a pathway of salty despair, the blood that was dripping from his cut landing on her soft , ivory complexed face smearing it as a sacrifice to his horrid and most revengeful deed. He smirked before pushing his face close to her resisting one, trying to move to the side only to be met by a pressure hold. His lips kissed hers, pushing his tongue deep in her mouth while she screamed hoarsely. He had enough, he wanted her to be the frightful little virgin she used to be that didn't have the strength nor the bullshit to fight back.
"Remember Meri, don't you remember? The way I touched you all those years ago, right here." He placed his hands on the bottom of her firm ass squeezing them fully until the fitting perfectly into his palms. "You liked it back then, didn't you?" he coaxed violently, only met with the slightest shake of her head, his drunken anger rising. He pulled his hand off from her soft rear end, using it to slap her cheek forcefully, a loud slap heard that echoed across the room followed by her wailing sobs. "You like it don't you?" he chuckled again taking her face in his hand and making her nod her head in his command. He was the puppet master and she was his to toy with as he pleased. He was the audience that loved his own storyline, and he was going to see to it that it happened. "Remember that night, the way I had myself right between you." He murmured, pressing harder against her."
"Stop..stop!" she begged, the sobbing reaching a higher level of intensity. "You're hu….hurting me." She wailed, wiggling farther into the wall not wanting to be against his figure.
"I'm hurting you?" fake concern in his voice, letting his lips trail down her face, nipping at the salty tears that left evidence on her beautiful broken skin. What a beautiful disaster the woman in front of him was, and he couldn't wait to be in it. In her. "I'll be gentle with you, I promise. Just stop fighting me Meri and you'll enjoy this as much as I will." He whispered softly holding her in place as she shook, whimpered beneath him.
"Der..Derek." she cried out softly.
"Derek doesn't have to know. This will be our little secret, our secret." He whispered hooking his fingers at the skimpy sides of her panties ready to pull them down.
"No…no. No, pl..please…..please…." she sobbed, her hand pushing his away, although doing no good.
"He doesn't have to know. Besides, he won't ever believe you. You've always been such a sluty girl Meri." He said, feeling her bare ass in his hands.
"Stop…stop! You….Derek loves me." She sobbed.
"Oh, really. Then why isn't he here protecting the woman he loves? Where the fuck is Dr. Shepherd? I don't see him here." He said looking around mocking her as he rubbed his body against hers. "Stay still!" he commanded, smirking as soon as he felt her body stop fighting him and calming down in his arms. "That's it. Good girl." He whispered, this time his kisses softly placed in her color bones removing the arm that was holding her against the wall, his bottom half easing from where it was pushed against her covered crotch. "That's it Meri." He whispered sucking on her skin, closing those deviled eyes and enjoying her taste.
Seconds passed as she stayed still and held back all the screams and cried waiting for the right time. His hands were placed above her head, holding himself as she was tented beneath him, more room for her to move around.
Time.
She bent her knee and quickly kicked him in the groin as he fell wildly in pain, his yelled like an animal being slaughtered alive, falling on top of the broken glass puncturing his skin through his clothes. She was free, for now. Her breath was quick and panicked trying to make her way through the door only to find that his body was covering her escape. He could have easily caught her with his hand and pull her down, hurt her even more and take her without any stopping. He was strong. Wasted, but it didn't take away his strength. She turned quickly and ran as fast as she could to the closest room, Aarons. Shutting it quickly she realized there was no lock and opted for a wooden chair to hold the door in place for the time being.
The computer.
It was still on standby, the pictures of the half-naked women still dancing around in his monitor. The page still saved on her email account.
Quickly, she padded the board waiting for it to come alive before she was in sight of the bright blue background of her email. Clicking on new message her finger typed as fast as she could in the time being. She could already her the seconds tick and tock in her mind. With each button pressed she was close typing in the words that could help her, save her from the current beast right out the door.
Bang! The loud hammer of his fist hit the wooden door seeing it shake so violently.
Bang! She was finished typing the message.
Bang! She typed the email addresss that she knew by heart.
Bang! She clicked send watching the envelope fly as she prayed for help, for savior in the moment she feared.
Bang! His hand wouldn't stop taunting her, making her heart beat a mile a second.
Bang! "Meri, you are going to get it you bitch!"
Bang! Dear lord, help me.
Bang!
