I took a deep breath to calm myself before gently knocking on "Uncle Thoros" door. Usually I would be petty and choose not to apologize, because after all, why should I? It's not that I lied. But somehow both Theo and Ronan convinced me that it would not be smart to anger the owner of the house I'm living in.

Flashback

"Ambrose, I know that you've only known about my father for a day, but you must realize that yelling at him was one of the stupidest things that you could've done," Theo said in a stiff voice. He looked disgruntled.

"Seriously, Rosie, you should get out of the habit of being so audacious. I'm hoping you apologize tomorrow"

"You want me to apologize? Never!" I insisted indignantly. But Ronan gave me a look, and I knew the conversation was over.

"Come in, Theo" Seems like he forgot that it wasn't only Theo living in this house anymore.

"Actually it's just me" I said with cheer in my voice. I just loved antagonizing people. My smile widened at the small grimace he made once he figured out who was really at the door. He gave a small sigh.

"What do you want?" The annoyance in his voice was quite transparent.

"Oh nothing. Just wanna apologize for what I said yesterday," I admitted.

"You do not look very sorry" I scowled. Didn't he understand how difficult this situation is for me? Usually I'd never apologize, but both Ronan and Theo had a point.

"Yes, well I am" I snapped. "I have come to realize that my words were both rude, and out of line, so I'll never do that again. Both Ronan and I will take the etiquette classes." My anger grew at the sight of his smirk. It felt like I lost a competition.

"Good. It starts tomorrow at 8:30 in the morning tomorrow. Tell both Ronan, and Theo" and with a flick of his wrist, he dismissed me. I stomped out of the study.

"So, how did it go?" I turned to look at Theo and Ronans expectant looks.

"We have etiquette classes tomorrow at 8:30, so it went terribly," I muttered glumly. "What do you even do in etiquette classes?" This question was directed at Theo. He pondered for a moment before answering.

"We basically learn how to be the model pureblood. Learning how to use cutlery-" I gave a small groan of annoyance "-proper posture, proper vocabulary, all those things. For pureblood girls, they learn about the proper fashion for each season. Oh, and we also learn about the different pure-blood family lines."

"I don't want to" I whined "Ronan, how are you so calm about this?" I demanded. He shrugged.

"It's what we have to do. It's not like we have anything else to do. And doesn't this make you feel excited? We wouldn't have learned all these things in the muggle world" His flippant words and casual disregard for the muggle world unnerved me. He was ready to forget about the world we grew up in already.

"Muggle world?" I yelled disbelievingly "Are you hearing yourself right now? That was the world we grew up in! Do you not remember what that man did to MOTHER?!" I opened my mouth to scream again at seeing Ronan's furious face but he interrupted me. Theo looked like he wanted to disappear into the couch.

"Don't you ever say I didn't care! I'm just saying that we should be making the most out of a terrible situation. Maybe you should stop screaming for two seconds and let me explain myself." He hissed furiously before turning and walking away.

"Do you two always fight like that?" It was Theo who spoke.

"Yes, but it was never this bad. I mean he called me dramatic! I'm the farthest from dramatic" I added with a small huff.

"You have to see where he's coming from" he pointed out "You basically said that he didn't care about his Mother, and that he completely rejected the muggle world. And you started yelling before he could explain himself." I thought back to what I said a couple minutes before. Did I really say those things? I gave a small sigh. Sometimes my mouth was faster than my brain.

"Guess I should apologize" I mumbled "Anyways, how did both of you get to be such friends? You only met a day ago" I frowned. Ronan never talks to me about these things anymore.

"We talked a bit."

"And you don't care about our blood status?"

"…No…"

"You hesitated"

"He's smart, no doubt he'll be in Slytherin. That's all that matters" That piqued my interest.

"What's Slytherin?" He gave me an odd look and shook his head.

"I forgot you grew up in the muggle world. In Hogwarts there are four different houses that you get sorted to - don't ask me how - and the houses are Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff. I'm confident that I'll get into Slytherin" He added proudly "That's for the ambitious and cunning, those who get far in life. My parents were in Slytherin. So it's my duty too. Ravenclaw is the smart house, full of wit and wisdom, which isn't too bad. But the Hufflepuffs are full of dumbasses, for the ones that don't fit in any house. And worst of all are the Gryffindors, with their bravery" he sneered "Most likely to get themselves killed off. You seem like a Gryffindor" I rolled my eyes. But I burned with curiosity.

"What would happen if you didn't get into Slytherin?" I noticed how quickly his smile dropped only to be replaced with a grimace.

"Father would be disappointed in me," he said simply. It was obvious that he didn't want to continue the conversation so I dropped it. After an uncomfortable silence he quickly spoke:

"Did you know generations of Notts were in Slytherin?" I raised my eyebrows. Why was he telling me this? "So was the Dark Lord" My eyebrow furrowed at the unfamiliar name.

"The Dark Lord?"

"He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" He clarified. "I recognize that name," I thought. All of a sudden, I remembered the journal that Mum gave both of us. It didn't give much information as to who he is. So I just asked.

"Who is he?" He turned pale.

"He's a great wizard, whose main goal was to rid the wizarding world of the mudbloods" He sounded as if he was reading from a textbook. "Mudbloods are a stain that needs to be rid of"

"Rid of how?" If it were possible Theo would've turned even paler.

"He killed and tortured. And father was one of his followers" I swallowed trying to digest all this new information.

"So the reason you want to go to Slytherin is because of your father and a madman?" He head shot up at my words, and he quickly put a hand over my mouth.

"You idiot, learn to censor yourself!" He whispered loudly "If my father catches you saying that he'll kill you!" I forcibly pried his hand from my mouth.

"Literally?" He glared at me

"The more I talk to you, the more I realize how insane you are" He shook his head disbelievingly "I'm leaving"

"Can't handle my amazing presence can you?" He scoffed

"Amazing? More like Idiotic"
