Hello, Mobians. Centurion Maximo here and welcome back to Sonic: Invasion. In the last part of this chapter, Sonic & company saw a scene on the news that may potentially haunt them for a while, and Uncle Chuck starts sweating seeing the same thing, now what could that mean? We'll have to read and find out. I'm actually aiming to make Uncle Chuck a little like Peppy Hare from Star Fox.
Now that I say that out loud, why hasn't that been a crossover yet? If Sonic could have a crossover with Mega Man, why not Sonic and Star Fox?
Void Reader: Don't worry. I have something planned for Clove and Cassia. They're two of my favorite characters from the Sonic universe.
Now, more exciting news is that Sonic The Hedgehog 2 is outl. We got Tails and Knuckles! I'm actually excited for this movie and it's done really well.
Now, back to the action!
*G.U.N Headquarters. Commander Abraham Tower's Office. 6:34 am*
Commander Tower slammed his fist onto his table, almost causing that part to actually crack under the hit. "How the hell did this happen?!" He demanded.
"W-We don't really know, sir." A G.U.N. Private answered very nervously under the commander's glare. "All we know is that someone or something just tore into these soldiers like they were tissue paper."
"That's what is most concerning considering G.U.N has been training it's soldiers to the highest degree since the whole world was put back together." Commander Tower said, clasping his hands together. He then sighed in exasperation. "This may be a powerful enemy. Perhaps this came from the meteor that crashed there."
"That's possible, sir." The Private agreed. "May I suggest we send a larger force to investigate? We'd send two Cruisers and have them maintain aerial surveillance."
Commander Tower thought about it for a minute. "That may be a good idea. We have to contain this incident. No doubt a few have already gotten hold of this information. Despite that, we can't risk a panic."
"I completely agree, sir." The Private said. With that, the Private left Commander Tower's office. The G.U.N Commander sighed again, this time in exhaustion. Whoever found this out already would begin losing faith in G.U.N's ability to handle situations like when the world was shattered.
*Volcanic Village Zone. G.U.N Base. 8:21 am*
In the base made in the edge of the natural structure, the G.U.N commanding officer was looking at the report on what happened in Sand Hill Zone. "What in the hell?"
"What sort of thing could do that?" A lower G.U.N officer asked nervously.
"This is unsettling, to say the least." Another G.U.N soldier added.
Suddenly, a loud rumbling was heard. The G.U.N soldiers ran outside to see the source, if they could. What they saw was a meteor heading right for the spot they were stationed in, coming down at a high speed.
"MOVE!" The commanding G.U.N officer shouted near the top of his lungs as he and the other soldiers ran away from the incoming meteor. Despite them running as fast as they could, the meteor was still falling at high speed. Within seconds, the meteor crashed with a loud crack near the forward base. The G.U.N soldiers peeked their heads from their hiding places to see the meteor flaming hot.
Suddenly, a purple and green insectoid creature, similar to the one from the Sand Hill Zone, but a little different. This one was a little bulkier and less agile with yellow eyes. It looked around, but couldn't see anything. It began to wander around. "Don't move a muscle." The commanding G.U.N officer quietly warned. "From the report in Sand Hill, our weapons didn't harm it at all."
"We should get out of here then, sir." One of the soldiers whispered.
"Agreed." The commanding G.U.N officer said, but suddenly, the creature was already behind them and proceeded to tear the G.U.N unit to shreds. There was screaming and shooting which only grew as the creature tore into the soldiers like tissue paper. However, one of the soldier's shots managed to graze the creature's leg, causing bright green fluid to spill onto the ground. The creature noticed this and screeched in rage, spearing the poor soldier with its legs. The other soldiers tried to run and call for help, but the creature was quicker than them, slaughtering the rest of them. Like in Sand Hill, blood pooled around the new corpses.
The creature screeched again in victory, not really noticing, or maybe caring that a bleeding out G.U.N soldier was crawling to relative safety. He barely managed to get a warning out before giving in to his blood loss. The creature suddenly began dragging his corpse back to the meteor site.
*Spagoina. Uncle Chuck's Room. 9:12 am*
Chuck was just sitting at his desk, not bothering to even make a sound. He was still in utter shock at what he saw in the report. "What were these creatures? Where did they come from? Why were they here? What was their intent on Mobius? Why did they seem familiar?" These were the questions running through Chuck's head.
A couple minutes later, he did get up from his chair after a knock on his door. Walking over, he opened it, letting in a bunch of G.U.N soldiers followed by Commander Tower. "Charles."
"Abraham." Chuck greeted courteously. "May I ask why you're here?"
Commander Tower sighed loudly. "There's been another incident, this time in the Volcanic Village Zone."
"What?" Chuck whispered.
"Chances are that more incidents will appear all over Mobius." Commander Tower said. "You're gonna have to work with us."
"You know I left G.U.N after that day." Chuck recalled with a grim expression.
"I remember, Charles. Trust me when I say I hoped I would never ask you for help after that." Commander Tower retorted, fully remembering what happened that day. "However, this may be a special circumstance."
Chuck sighed exasperatedly. "I see."
*Sky Patrol. Main Lobby. 10:32 am*
Tails came running in, sweating a little with a panicked expression. "Guys! It happened again!"
"Another attack?" Sally asked, worried about his answer.
"Another meteor crashed in Volcanic Village Zone! Something emerged from it as well and killed everyone!" Tails yelled.
"WHAT?!" Everyone else shouted.
"What's doing this?" Rotor asked.
"I would say Eggman, but we haven't seen him in two years." Cream reminded herself.
"Then the question is what's even capable of doing this?" Amy asked no one in particular.
"Unfortunately, I don't have all the answers yet." Tails said. "I'll see what I can find out."
*G.U.N Supermax Prison. 12:57 pm*
The Egg Bosses seemed to overhear the chatter from the scared G.U.N soldiers. Needless to say, they were a little bit spooked. Two instances that both ended with trained G.U.N soldiers dead? Not a comforting thought for anyone. What could be doing this?
Hello, everyone. I hope you all liked the second part of the first chapter of Sonic: Invasion. Another meteor has landed in the Volcanic Village Zone which is an OZ (Original Zone).
At this point, more G.U.N soldiers bite it as they get torn into by another unknown creature. Now, the creatures in Volcanic Village Zone and Sand Hill Zone have proven to be tougher than they look, both taking out trained G.U.N soldiers with relative ease.
Back in Spagonia, Uncle Chuck gets a visit from Commander Abraham Tower who informs him of the incident in the Volcanic Village Zone, shocking him a little.
With Sonic and Company, they also hear of the second attack and are terrified as they don't really know who or what's doing this.
We also see the Egg Bosses for a small visit, finding out that they've heard what happened with the other G.U.N patrol in the Volcanic Village Zone.
As usual, if anyone has any ideas for this story, please let me know in the comments/reviews, or personally PM me.
