Troy was driving around Heartland looking for more numbers to add to his collection.

Troy: I need more numbers. I need more power.

Number 96: I should thank Vetrix. After all, with him motivating Troy, he's finally beginning to tap into his potential. At this rate, there won't be a single number not in Troy's possession.

Suddenly, Troy got a call on his phone. He pulled over and answered.

Troy: Who is this?

Vetrix: What, did you forget me so soon?

Troy: You'd better have a good reason for calling me Vetrix.

Vetrix: Such anger. I simply have a challenge for you.

Troy: What kind of challenge?

Vetrix: Simple, a duel. You face one of my duelists.

Troy: Why would I accept that?

Vetrix: I know you want more numbers. So this will be a duel with numbers on the line. All of the numbers you've collected and the numbers of my duelist will be on the line.

Troy: Fine, I'll squash your pathetic duelist and take his numbers.

Vetrix: I was hoping you'd say that. Come to the abandoned museum.

The call ended and Troy turned his bike in the direction of the old museum.

Quinton: Are you sure this is wise Vetrix? Marco has two of our strongest number cards.

Vetrix: Yes, and I'm confident that even if Troy wins, they will draw him further into his rage.

Troy arrived at the old museum and walked inside.

Troy: I take it you're my opponent?

The man he saw was wearing a black tank top, grey jeans, and black combat boots.

Marco: Yeah. Name's Marco. Hope you're ready to hand over your numbers.

Troy: Funny, I was going to say the same thing to you.

Marco: Big talk. It's time to face your judgement!

Both: Let's duel!

Troy: 4000 LP

Marco: 4000 LP

Little did Troy know that Vetrix set up a camera in the museum so he could watch the duel.

Vetrix: Now Troy, show me the power you possess.

Marco: I'm going first, and I send Bayonater the Baneful Barrel from my hand to the graveyard to special summon Big One Warrior from my hand.

Level 1/Light/Warrior

ATK 100/DEF 600

Marco: Next, I summon the monster Kinka-Byo in attack mode.

Level 1/Dark/Beast

ATK 400/DEF 200

Marco: And due to its special ability, I can summon Bayonater from my graveyard.

Level 1/Dark/Zombie

ATK 500/DEF 0

Marco: And now I special summon Jester Confit from my hand in attack mode.

Level 1/Dark/Spellcaster

ATK & DEF 0

Troy: Four monsters at once?

Marco: Now I overlay Kinka-byo and Bayonater, and then I overlay Big One Warrior and Jester Confit. With these monsters, I build two overlay networks, and xyz summon Number 13: Embodiment of Crime, and Number 31: Embodiment of Punishment!

Numbers 13 & 31

Rank 1/Dark/Fiend

ATK & DEF 500

Troy: All that for two numbers with only 500 attack and defense points?

Marco: These numbers will bestow their judgment upon you. I place two cards face-down and end my turn.

Quinton: Impressive. Marco has summoned both the numbers in his first turn.

Vetrix: Yes. Troy has fallen into Marco's trap and he doesn't even realize it yet.

Troy: My move, I draw. Since you control monsters and I don't, I can special summon Lord Gaia the Fierce Knight from my hand.

Level 7/Earth/Warrior

ATK 2300/DEF 2100

Troy: Next, since you still control more monsters than me, I can summon Arisen Gaia the Fierce Knight without sacrificing any monsters.

Level 7/Dark/Warrior

ATK 2300/DEF 2100

Troy: Now, I overlay my two level 7 knights. With these two monsters, I build the overlay network and xyz summon Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Hacker!

Rank 7/Dark/Psychic

ATK 2800/DEF 1200

Troy: Now Diablosis, attack Number 13!

Marco: You fool! Due to the effects of my numbers, when they're both on the field, neither can be destroyed, and all battle damage from attacks on them is inflicted to you!

Troy: What?!

Diablosis launched his attack, but the numbers deflected it back at Troy, knocking him over.

Troy: 1700 LP

Troy: Cheap shot. And it won't get me again, that much I promise.

Marco: You fool. You were so impatient you rushed straight in without thinking, but then I guess that's what you do best.

Troy: Shut up! You don't know anything about me!

Marco: Wrong. I know a lot about you. I know every wrong deed you've ever committed, or rather my numbers do.

Troy: What? Stop messing with me.

Marco: These monsters can see everything you've ever done, and they're prepared to deliver their judgement, and I'm afraid that judgement is you losing this duel, your numbers, and your soul.

Troy: I won't be swayed by your words. I place one card face-down and end my turn.

Marco: Then it's my turn. And I play the traps Damage Transfer and Robbin' Goblin. With Robbin' Goblin, every time you take battle damage, a random card in your hand is sent to the graveyard, and due to Damage Transfer, any damage I would take in battle this turn is inflicted to you instead.

Troy: What?!

Marco: Now Number 13, attack Diablosis!

Troy: I activate the spell Gamusharush! This card changes the attack of my monster to 0 for one turn, but you take 600 points of damage.

Diablosis: 2800-0 ATK

Marco: 3400 LP

Marco: You may have spared your life points, but you've thrown your monster to the wolves. Destroy him!

Troy: 1200 LP

Marco: And due to Robbin' Goblin, a random card in your hand is sent to the graveyard.

A blast shot from his trap at one of Troy's cards, pulling it out of his hand and sending it to this graveyard.

Marco: And now Number 31 will wage a direct attack on your life points!

Troy: 700 LP

Marco: And now Robbin' Goblin activates again, forcing you to discard another card.

Troy: Great, now I've got nothing on my field and a single card in hand.

Marco: Sacrificing your monster to save yourself. You really are evil.

Troy: Shut up! What do you know about me and what I've been through?

Marco: I know you're responsible for the deaths of your parents and for the condition your sister is in. Always rushing in, never thinking about the ramifications to yourself or those around you.

Troy: Be quiet!

Marco: Fine. Would you rather I talk about how you've been attacking innocent people in a selfish quest for power?

Troy: I'm hunting numbers to put Vetrix in his place! He hurt my sister, and he and anyone who stands in my way is gonna pay!

Vetrix: Perfect. Marco is playing his part perfectly. Troy is getting even more angry.

Troy didn't know it, but his eyes were starting to glow red.

Number 96: Yes Troy, feed into your anger. The more it builds, the closer you are to unleashing your true power!

Marco: It's your turn. Make your move.

Troy: Fine, I draw! And I'll start by summoning Slower Swallow in attack mode.

Level 1/Wind/Winged Beast

ATK & DEF 100

Troy: And now I activate his special ability. By sacrificing this monster, I can draw 2 cards for my normal draw on my next turn. Next, I play the Soul of the Pure spell card. This card gives me 800 more life points.

Troy: 1500 LP

Marco: An ironic card for an impure being like yourself.

Troy: I said be quiet! I end my turn.

Marco: Then it's my move. Now my monsters, attack him directly!

Both his monsters struck Troy, sending him sprawling across the floor.

Troy: 500 LP

Marco: This duel is almost over. You had no chance of beating me, and this face-down will prove it.

Troy was lying on his stomach trying to find the strength to get up.

Troy: How am I losing? I have to win! I need more power!

Suddenly, all he could see was black, and he heard a voice speak behind him.

?: I can give you the power you seek.

Troy turned around and saw a man wearing a black cloak.

Troy: Who are you? And what power?

?: Who I am is not important. And the power I offer is the power of Chaos.

Troy: If it means I'll be able to beat this guy, I'll do anything.

?: I thought you would say that. This card will give you the power you need.

The figure tossed Troy a glowing card and the vision ended. Troy could feel a great power building inside him, unlike anything he had ever felt before. He stood up, a black aura emanating from his body, and his eyes were glowing crimson red.

Troy: My move, I draw! And first I activate the spell Glorious Numbers! Since I control no monsters, I can summon a number from my graveyard. Rise, Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Hacker! Next, I can draw 1 card.

Troy placed his hand on his deck, and the top card glowed a deep red.

Marco: What's going on?

Troy: Your demise! Chaos Draw!

He drew his card and a shockwave of red energy was released, pushing Marco back and destroying Vetrix's camera.

Quinton: What happened to the camera?

Vetrix: This is certainly an interesting development.

Marco: It doesn't matter what card you drew because I'm activating the effect of Embodiment of Crime! By using an overlay unit, your monster has to attack it this turn! As soon as you do, you'll lose!

Troy: We'll see. Before I continue, I activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your set card.

Marco: He may have destroyed my Magic Cylinder, but I still have Kuriboh in my hand, so if he manages to get rid of one of my monsters before he attacks, I'll take no damage.

Troy: You seem to be laboring under the delusion you still have a chance to win this duel. Allow me to shatter that illusion using this card. I activate Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force!

Marco: What?! What kind of card is that?

Troy: This card takes an xyz monster and evolves it into something more powerful. An xyz monster one rank higher, fueled by the power of Chaos!

Marco: What?

Troy: I overlay my rank 7 Diablosis! With this one monster, I rebuild the overlay network! Go Chaos Xyz Evolution! Barian power, born of Chaos, visit your judgement on this world of filth! Come forth, destroyer of minds! Chaos Number 89: Diablosis the Mind Eraser!

Rank 8/Dark/Psychic

ATK 3200/DEF 1600

Marco: What's a chaos number? Where did he get that kind of power?

Troy: Barian Force's other effect activates, snatching all the overlay units of your Embodiment of Punishment and turning them into Diablosis' chaos overlay units. Then, for every overlay unit your monster lost, its attack is reduced by 300 points. Chaos Drain!

Punishment: 500-0 ATK

Marco: It doesn't matter how much attack it has, because as soon as you attack, you'll take the damage and lose!

Troy: I don't think so. I activate Diablosis' special ability! By using one chaos overlay unit, I can banish up to one card from each of your hand, your field, and your extra deck face-down!

Marco: What?!

Troy: Diablosis, banish Embodiment of Crime and the last card in his hand face-down! Cerebral Destroyer!

His monster fired twin beams of energy, causing both of Marco's cards to disappear.

Troy: By the way, when Diablosis uses this ability, you also take 100 points of damage for each of your face-down banished cards. With two banished, you lose 200 life points.

Marco: 3200 LP

Troy: Now Diablosis, attack his monster and end this duel!

Diablosis raised his weapon and smashed Number 31, knocking Marco out.

Troy: Now your numbers are mine!

A red beam of energy shot from his hand at Marco, taking away his numbers. Troy's aura faded and he collapsed. He woke up a few minutes later and clutched the side of his head.

Troy: What happened?

Number 96: You defeated your opponent and took his number cards.

Troy: Are you sure? I've got a few gaps in my memory. It's like that time when I was a kid.

Number 96: You really don't remember the end of the duel?

Troy: Afraid not. Just something about chaos.

Number 96: How interesting. It appears tapping into the power of Chaos takes such a toll on Troy that he doesn't remember the incident. This might work in my favor for now.

Troy flipped through his number cards and found the ones Marco used against him, confirming that he won the duel.

Troy: Wait, what happened to him?

Number 96: He took off after your duel.

Troy: Oh. Well, I guess I should head back.

Vetrix: You can't fool me, Troy. I know exactly where you got that power from. Very interesting indeed.

Sorry the upload came so late in the evening everyone. I was busy for a while and then I just forgot for the rest of the day. Hope you all had a good week and that you enjoy your weekend.
