Yuma: Right. If I do that, I'll have a chance to change lanes and get away from these three goons. I summon Gogogo Golem in defense mode!

Wolfsbane: Coyote, take care of that for us, will you?
Coyote: Crocodile Theta, attack Gogogo Golem!
Theta charged its jaw with electricity and bit down on Golem's arm, but it just threw the monster off.
Yuma: Nice try, but Gogogo Golem can't be destroyed in battle once each turn when it's in defense mode.
Jackal: Now Ape Epsilon, attack Gogogo Golem with Ape Punch!
Epsilon punched Golem, causing it to be destroyed.
Astral: Seize the moment! Change lanes now before you take another attack!
Before he could, Coyote and Jackal switched lanes, blocking him off.
Wolfsbane: Yuma only has 1000 life points left, and my Magnet Eagle has 1200 attack points. If my direct attack succeeds-
Jackal: We stand to make some serious bank.
Coyote: Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
Yuma: What do I do?
Wolfsbane: This ends now! Go Magnet Eagle, attack Yuma directly!
Magnet Eagle charged at Yuma, but a giant train appeared and blocked it, forcing it to retreat.
Wolfsbane: Where did that come from?
Another duelist moved onto Yuma's track and threw their cloak to the side, revealing their identity.
Yuma: Anna?
Anna: Yep, I came to help you even the odds. Go Rocket Arrow! Attack!

Coyote: No sweat, I've got this.
He changed lanes and had his Crocodile intercept Rocket Arrow's attack.

Suddenly, Anna's Rocket Arrow exploded.
Yuma: What happened?
Astral: After a battle, Rocket Arrow Express automatically destroys itself unless its controller sends five cards in their hand to the graveyard, but since Anna is only holding four cards, she cannot meet the requirement.
Yuma: Without that monster, Anna is wide open.
Anna: Don't sweat it, we can still win.
Coyote: You'll be sweating bullets once I activate Magnet Reborn. By giving up 500 life points, I can bring back Magnet Crocodile Zeta from my graveyard.

Yuma: Look out Anna!
Anna changed lanes, narrowly avoiding the attack.
Wolfsbane: We'll put you in a world of hurt for interfering in our business.
Yuma: Anna, you reached a draw marker, so you'd better make a move fast.
Anna: Got it. I draw! And I summon Lion Hearted Locomotive in attack mode.

Magnedragon unleashed a stream of energy from its mouth at Anna's monster, tearing straight through it.

Wolfsbane: And due to Magnedragon's special ability, when in destroys your monster in battle, it deals you damage equal to that monster's attack points.
Anna: 500 LP
Tori: If Anna takes another hit like that, she's out.
Yuma: Yeah, but if I wanna help her, I gotta take these guys out first. Bull Blader, attack Magnet Mannequin!
Bull Blader raised its sword and cleaved through Jackal's monster, but a panel on its chest opened and it fired a barrage of needles at Yuma.
Jackal: 3000 LP
Yuma: 800 LP
Yuma: What was that?
Jackal: When Magnet Mannequin is destroyed in battle, it deals 200 points of damage to you. And to show you can't keep a good monster down, I'm playing the Magnet Reborn spell card to bring back Magnet Mannequin.
Jackal: 2500 LP
Yuma: If you attack Bull Blader, you'll keep losing life points as well.
Jackal: Doesn't matter to me.
Coyote: Even if we run out of life points, Wolfsbane can finish you off.
Wolfsbane: Which means we get a massive payday.
Yuma: Payday?
Wolfsbane: We don't care about the World Duel Carnival, Yuma. Think of us like duel bounty hunters. We take punks like you on for cash.
Tori: Someone paid them to take you on?
Yuma: Who's paying you? Tell me!
Wolfsbane: Sorry, but we never reveal the identity of our clients.

Yuma: I really hate to admit it, but goggles back there may have a point.
Astral: Agreed. We are in dire straits.

Nistro: Why don't I say hello instead? Heroic Challenger Spartan, attack Magnet Jammer!
Wolfsbane: Who's that?
Coyote: A new guest, which means it's time for a change of plans. When Magnet Jammer battles, its special ability returns both our monsters to our hands.
Yuma: Thanks for the help Nistro. Now the odds are even.

Wolfsbane: What good will that do? Your monster has less than half the amount of attack points mine does.
Yuma: Maybe, but due to Bull Blader's special ability, when it battles a monster, it isn't destroyed, battle damage becomes 0, and your monster is destroyed.
Wolfsbane: Why you dirty-
He quickly changed lanes, barely saving his Magnedragon from Yuma's attack.
Wolfsbane: I don't know about you gents, but I'm getting sick and tired of this Yuma kid. What do you say we finish him off once and for all?
Coyote & Jackal: Roger. I summon Magnet Chameleon in attack mode!

Wolfsbane: Funny thing about Magnet Chameleon. When there are two monsters on the field with the same name, Magnet Chemeleon can negate the effects of one of your monsters, so Bull Blader's effect is cancelled.

Astral: Yours, Anna's, and Nistro's monsters are all on the same track, which means you can xyz summon using them as material.
Yuma: Alright, I overlay level 4 Bull Blader, Trolley Olley, and Extra Sword. With these three monsters, I build the overlay network and xyz summon the mighty One-Eyed Skill Gainer!

Astral: I believe now would be a good time to use Skill Gainer's special ability.
Yuma: Right. I activate Skill Gainer's special ability! By using one overlay unit, Skill Gainer gains the effect of your Magnedragon!
Wolfsbane: Magnedragon's special ability deals damage to its opponent equal to the attack of monsters it destroys. If I take 800 points of damage from his attack and then 3500 points of damage from the special ability, then I would lose!
Yuma: So how does it feel to know your trio's gonna lose the duel Wolfsbane?
Jackal: We ain't losing!
Yuma: Oh no?
Jackal changed lanes and intercepted Yuma's attack with his Magnet Chameleon, allowing Wolfsbane to escape.

Anna: That's right, run away you chicken!
Nistro: Guess we won't be seeing any more of that creep.
Yuma: Yeah, well we would've won it anyway.
Heartland: No one could've seen this coming! Yuma Tsukomo, joined by two last minute team mates, has defeated the Triad of Terror!
Flip: Yuma did it!
Caswell: Atta boy Yuma!
Cathy: You guys were amazing!
Wolfsbane: This is not over! I still aim to finish the job Yuma.
Back with Yuma and the others, Anna had just explained how she got there.
Nistro: So if I've got this straight, you're not even in the Duel Carnival lineup?
Anna: Not exactly.
Yuma: But you found someone who was, knocked them out so they couldn't compete, and then pretended to be them?
Tori: Gee Anna, that's kind of extreme.
Anna: Oh yeah! Well so what?! I guess, I just wanted to see you again Yuma.
Nistro: Heads up, he's back you guys!
They all looked in front of them and saw Wolfsbane approaching quickly.
Yuma: I was hoping we'd seen the last of him.
Wolfsbane: You didn't think I'd take off without finishing the job, did you?
Nistro: Brace yourselves!
Wolfsbane: I activate the spell Direct Magnet! By halving both my life points and Magnedragon's attack points, it can attack you directly!
Wolfsbane: 2000 LP
Magnedragon: 3500-1750 ATK
Wolfsbane: Now attack Yuma directly!
Anna: Not so fast!
Anna undid her seat belt and jumped onto the front of Yuma's car.
Yuma: Anna, what are you doing?
Anna: This. I activate the effect of Construction Train Signal Red in my hand! When you declare a direct attack, I can summon this card from my hand in attack mode and make it your new target.

Tori: Is he serious?
Yuma: I think so. Skill Gainer, attack Magnedragon!
Skill Gainer raised his sword and struck Magnedragon, destroying it.
Wolfsbane: 0 LP
Wolfsbane was ejected from his car before it dropped to a lower track, narrowly avoiding Yuma's car.
Yuma: That was too close.
Anna: Way to go Yuma!
Yuma: Thanks for the save Anna.
Anna: You're welcome. Now go on and win this thing!
Yuma: I will.
With that, Anna turned and flew off.
Nistro: I think she likes you Yuma.
Vetrix: Yuma is powerful indeed, but his reliance on his friends will be his undoing.
