Keisuke glared at his door the moment he heard a knock on it. Fuckin' Gojo, he stole my mochi that I was saving... He growled, power walking over to the door and slamming it open, "Sensei, I fucking swear to god, if this isn't— oh, hey, Itadori." He said, waving pleasantly at the pink-haired boy who sweatdropped at the sudden change in demeanor.
"U-uh, hey, Asagi-san! How are you feeling? You looked pretty roughed up last time I saw!" He exclaimed in concern.
Unused to strangers expressing genuine concern for his well-being, Keisuke waved his hand awkwardly, "I'm fine, my technique, especially its most powerful version, takes a lot of cursed energy, so I was just exhausted. The injuries were nothing Shoko-san couldn't fix." Keisuke said, awkwardly.
Yuji blinked, tilting his head, "Shoko-san?"
"Shoko-san is the school's healer. She uses Reverse Cursed Technique, which basically turns negative energy into positive energy that can heal." Keisuke explained.
"Hoo! That's so cool! You think I can learn that? That would be totally awesome!" Yuji grinned.
"Nah, I don't think so." Keisuke said flatly, crushing the boy's dreams with amusement, "Wait, what are you doing here?" He suddenly asked in surprise.
Yuji blinked, "Eh? Oh! I got accepted into the school! We're classmates now, isn't that cool?!" He beamed, almost blinding Keisuke at the sheer positiveness.
Keisuke blinked, "Oh, that's great. Congratulations." He said, nodding, "But what took you so long? It's been over a day since I got back."
"Well, I had to give the Principal an interview. He asked some really hard hitting questions." Yuji said.
"With some hard-hitting puppets, I'd imagine." Keisuke quipped, "But it is odd. You and I are pretty much the only two people who had to give an interview to him. The rest all get accepted just like that." He commented, exiting out of his room and walking beside Itadori.
The boy looked surprised, "What? Huh, I guess I am a special case, what with Sukuna and all." He remarked.
"Mhm, I'd imagine. Speaking of Sukuna, how are you feeling? He speaking in your head?" Keisuke asked nonchalantly, hiding his concern. No one deserves to have a special grade monster like Sukuna rampaging in their minds.
"Not just his mind, Hasashi." A mouth appeared on Yuji's cheek, to both boys' surprise, "Hmm… yeah, you definitely are his descendant. I can feel your Hellfire." The mouth twisted into a creepy grin, "Ah, you're not trying to hide your eyes, either. But why are you so weak, Zenkatsujin?" Keisuke flinched at the title, "Why haven't you unlocked more of his power? Are you too afraid?"
Yuji slapped his own cheek to get rid of him, looking at Keisuke, who looked a bit disturbed, "Sorry, this is the third time he's done this."
"Not your fault." Keisuke said, composing himself. Zenkatsujin… now that was a title he hadn't heard in a while.
"Who's he talking about, though? I mean, your last name is Asagi, but he keeps calling you Hasashi." Yuji asked, before waving his hands about, "You don't have to answer if you don't want to!" Clearly thinking that this was some kind of family drama that was a sore point for Keisuke.
Keisuke snorted, "Nah, it's fine. He's talking about my ancestor, Hasashi Hanzo. He was the first person to use Hellfire. After he was died, he became a vengeful cursed spirit, arguably one of the most powerful curses in history." He said, remembering the portrait his grandfather had once made of what the curse looked like.
"But Hellfire can only be accessed by those who have the Eyes of the Specter," he continued, pointing to his red-colored eyes, "and the person who has these eyes are called the Zenkatsujin, or the Full Scorpion Man."
"Woah!" Yuji looked at him with starry eyes, "That's so fucking cool! I mean, Reverse Curse Technique sounds useful, but yours sounds super awesome! So Zenkatsujin is what you are called?"
Keisuke grinned, feeling his ego swelling at the sheer awe the boy regarded him with, "Yep. Not just me, though, those with the Eyes of Specter are called that. But right now, only I have them, so it's just me." He said, preening a bit.
"There you two are," Megumi suddenly appeared, "how are you feeling, Keisuke?" He asked, ignoring Itadori, who pouted.
"Good," Keisuke affirmed with a smile, "how are you feeling? From what I remember, you looked pretty roughed up yourself."
He didn't remember much, actually, he couldn't even remember what Megumi looked like before he passed out. It was only from the pictures Toge-senpai sent him that he knew.
Of course, Gojo didn't really have to take pictures of Megumi cradling his head in his lap after he passed out, but he did, and the second years had a good laugh over it. Toge-senpai had decided to mess with him a bit more by photoshopping it into looking like he was awake, and they were just about to kiss.
Ha ha. Truly a ha ha moment.
"Better now," Megumi said, before looking at them both, "Sensei said we're going to Harajuku to pick up our fourth classmate."
"Wait, only four?" Yuji asked, surprised. Clearly, he had expected a normal classroom full of students.
Keisuke shrugged, "Yep, Jujutsu Sorcerers are a minority. It's a very stressful and dangerous job." He said, rolling up his sleeves in the way he liked it, showing off all his bands and rings.
The three of them walked together to meet Gojo-sensei before heading to Harajuku while Megumi explained to Yuji more about the lack of students, "We're lucky to even have four students. People who can see curses are rare, and those who are willing to use their cursed energy and risk their lives in this business are rarer still. Before your… stunt, there was only me and Keisuke." Megumi explained calmly.
"Hm, so it's kinda like being a police officer. We can do it, and once we're trained, we will be good at it, but the risk might be too much." Yuji explained to himself.
Keisuke nodded lazily with a hum, "A pretty accurate way to describe it." He commented lightly.
"You know anything about this fourth student?" Megumi asked Keisuke.
"Yeah, I read her file. Her name is Kugisaki Nobara. Country girl, from what I read. A potential Third Grade, but it's still undecided." Keisuke answered with a yawn.
"Third Grade? Is that like Special Grade?" Yuji asked curiously.
Good thing he's asking all the questions beforehand. Can't have him come along on a Special Grade mission and not even know what that means… Keisuke thought, "Yeah, we judge power levels based on grades. It starts from fourth grade to first grade, and then we have special grade, which is above even first grade. This is for both curses and sorcerers." He explained.
"For example, the curse that almost killed you and I would be a first grade." Megumi piped in.
"Really? Man! But from what I remember, Sukuna just blasted it with ease!" Yuji said with wide eyes.
"Even a single finger Sukuna is extremely powerful, Itadori." Keisuke said, his lazy eyes sharpening, "He didn't get his reputation by having tea with his enemies."
Megumi nodded grimly, "Correct. Anyway, the grades specify power levels. Roughly speaking, a First Grade sorcerer would be on par with a First Grade cursed spirit and are sent on missions accordingly… most of the time." He said, "I am a Second Grade. Keisuke is a semi-First Grade."
"Damn, you must be really strong, Asagi!" Yuji said, whistling.
"I am." Keisuke said confidently, "Gojo-sensei is a Special Grade, but his power is well beyond that."
"'Throughout the Heavens and Earth, he alone is the honored one…'" Megumi quoted.
"Poetic, but don't let him hear that. He has a big ego as is." Keisuke replied, amused.
"He's the one who told me that." Megumi deadpanned as Yuji chuckled nervously.
"...Like I said, he has a big ego." Keisuke said, grinning, "Oh, there he is! Morning, sensei." He said, smiling in an all-too-sweet manner.
"Morning, my dear students!" Gojo beamed, "Are you ready to go?"
"Of course, of course! And you will buy me back the mochi you stole from me, won't you? After all, you don't want your secret collection of Kikifuku to be burned away." Keisuke said, still smiling.
The other two boys sweatdropped at the obvious threat, as Gojo chuckled, "Of course, of course!"
Keisuke calmly munched on his mochi, pulling them out of the sweet box as he followed his two classmates and sensei. After arriving in Harajuku, they had each decided to wander about (since the fourth student had yet to arrive) and buy some things. Megumi had bought a keychain and some sweets, while Keisuke had bought a chain and a few more bands to go with the one he already had. He planned on turning them into talismans and seals, so they won't just be a fashion statement. Itadori, on the other hand, had bought a bunch of stuff, including glasses shaped in the form of the word 'ROOK'. Why?
Who knows. It looked stupid.
"Why are we waiting in Harajuku?" Megumi finally asked with a sigh.
"It's what she wanted."
Keisuke looked about. Another feature of his eyes, aside from giving him access to Hellfire, was that it could allow him to see those with Cursed Energy and those without, a feature that he called Cursed Sensor. Theoretically, he could also see hidden curses with it, but he hadn't yet mastered it to that point. His eyes instantly zeroed in on an actually quite decent beacon of cursed energy. Turning off his Cursed Sensor, he saw that it was a relatively short, ginger-haired girl and orange eyes.
The obvious Jujutsu sorcerer outfit was a big plus in identifying her.
"Boys," He cut in as Yuji began to look about comically, "that's her."
Both boys looked at the girl, who was now harassing some poor man (Keisuke hadn't heard the conversation the man had with another girl, so they didn't know he was a creep).
"Yep, that's her. Oi! Over here!" Gojo said, waving wildly as people stared at him. Some girls drooled, while most just looked at his blindfold weirdly.
The girl noticed him, and also noticed the three boys next to him wearing the Jujutsu shaman's outfit, and walked towards them, her face set in a stony scowl.
Well, doesn't she seem cheery…
It was Gojo's blindfold that the girl focused on, furrowing her eyebrows, "Man, what's with the blindfold?" She mumbled loud enough for all of them to hear. Her eyes trailed over to the three boys standing next to him. Keisuke waved, and Yuji followed hesitantly, while Megumi simply stared back unflinchingly.
'Hmm… he looks like a potato… definitely the kind of guy who ate his own boogers as a child… Kugisaki Nobara thought as she gave Yuji the judgmental look.
'That guy… he doesn't seem too bad, but he definitely is the kind of guy who stops and stares at himself in a mirror every time he passes by it…' She thought as she looked at Keisuke, who doesn't really seem uncomfortable at all under her intense staring.
'And this guy just screams anti-social emo. I bet he only listens to heavy metal and the way he stares… I hate people who think they're all that, so high-and-mighty' were her thoughts on Megumi.
Then she sighed, causing Yuji to whisper to Keisuke, "Damn, she took one look a sighed." He sweatdropped.
"Must be your glasses and Megumi's sea urchin hair, 'cause I know I'm perfect." Keisuke quipped.
"Well, introduce yourself!" Gojo said, "C'mon! C'mon! Don't be rude!" He said, smiling.
Nobara scowled at him, "Kugisaki Nobara, be happy boys, your team finally has some estrogen to balance out the testosterone." She sarcastically said, a hand on her hip.
Nah, Megumi was doing a good enough job at it, Keisuke thought, hiding a grin as he introduced himself first, "Asagi Keisuke, nice to meet you, Kugisaki-san. Welcome to Tokyo." he said, bowing politely.
"Itadori Yuji, nice to meet you, Kugisaki-san!" Yuji said, beaming, though it was a bit forced considering she clearly wasn't impressed with any of them.
"Fushiguro Megumi." Megumi simply said with a nod.
"And I'm the ever handsome, ever so powerful, and ever so charming teacher, Gojo Satoru! Nice to meet you, Nobara-chan!" Gojo said, beaming.
Really, he technically didn't need an introduction. He was known all over Japan, unless Kugisaki crawled out from underneath a rock or something.
The pause after that was teeth-clenchingly awkward, as Gojo continued to smile as Nobara continued to glare at them. Finally, having enough, Megumi turned to glare at Gojo, "Are we going somewhere after this?" He ground out.
Pouting a bit, Gojo answered, "Yep, actually. This is our entire class, and since two of you, well, technically three of you, are from the countryside, we are gonna go on a tour of Tokyo!" He announced dramatically.
Keisuke simply raised an eyebrow as he stood next to Megumi while Yuji and Nobara suddenly began to dance around, "TOKYO! TOKYO! WE LOVE TOKYO!" They chanted like a comical variant of a cult.
"The fuck?" He muttered.
"Country bumpkins." Megumi said, scowling a bit as his face turned red from all the stares they garnered.
"They're gonna be disappointed. They don't know how much Satoru likes to troll people." Keisuke said quietly.
"Like how he trolled you into eating cake that was made from salt?" Megumi said with a smirk.
Keisuke shuddered, "Don't even joke about that!" The diarrhea after that had been awful, "Besides, I got him back by making him eat shoelaces that looked like gummies." He said.
"Inumaki-senpai also pranked him by giving him mochi that had a jalapeño in it." Megumi said, snickering.
Keisuke fake-grimaced, "I don't like peppers…"
"I can tell."
"I guess you can say that they get… jalapeño business." Keisuke said with a straight face.
"I hate you."
"I will now announce our destination!" Gojo finally said after Yuji and Nobara excitedly yelled out all the destinations they wanted to see. The two students got in a military stance in front of him, "ROPPONGI!"
"Ro-Pon-Gi?!" The two looked at each other like Christmas had come early.
Keisuke snickered at the absolutely crestfallen look on their faces. Sorry kids, Christmas is cancelled 'cause Santa's slept with your momma!
They were in front of an abandoned building, and Keisuke could feel the cursed energy radiating off it. Using his Cursed Sensor, it wasn't hard to determine that there were multiple curses in the building. Not very strong, though, so it shouldn't take them too long.
"There's a curse here." Said Megumi as soon as Keisuke turned off his Sensor.
"More than one." Keisuke said.
"WHAT?! YOU LIED TO US! THIS ISN'T ROPPONGI!" The two country folk screamed with depressed rain clouds over them.
"It is, though." Gojo said, "This is a field test for the two of you," He pointed at Yuji and Nobara, "see if you're any good. Now, I don't think you've noticed it yet, but there's a cemetery nearby. The double punch of that, combined with the fear people associate with abandoned buildings, produced a curse. Now, chop chop, go in there and exorcise it." He said, clapping.
"I'm still not over you lying to me about it!" Nobara scowled at him.
"Wait, do curses really do pop up around cemeteries?" Yuji asked curiously.
"The issue isn't the cemetery. It's the fact that, like with abandoned buildings, people associate cemeteries with fear and sorrow. These negative emotions are what curses are formed from," Megumi explained, bored.
"Wait, he didn't know that yet?" Nobara asked, confused.
"Well…" Keisuke drawled, "Yuji-chan here swallowed a really powerful special grade object. The finger of Ryomen Sukuna."
"Hah?!" Nobara instantly jerked back, disgusted, "He swallowed it? That is so fucking gross and disgusting! No way! No way! No way!" She exclaimed, cringing away.
"Eh?!"
"I agree with her."
"Same."
Yuji cried anime tears, "Not you too! I did it to save you, Fushiguro!" He wailed.
"Anyway!" Gojo said loudly, regaining their attention, "I want to test you guys. Nobara-chan, Yuji-kun, you two go in, exorcise it and return. It shouldn't be too hard."
"Uh, sure." Yuji said, nodding, "But wait, I thought only curses could exorcise other curses, I don't know any jujutsu yet!"
Gojo smiled, "As Sukuna's vessel, you are basically half-curse already. But you're right, just punching it won't work. So I got you this." He said, handing him a blade, "This is Slaughter Demon. It's not exactly a high-level tool, but it should be enough for the curse that should be in this building."
"Isn't that Maki-senpai's?" Megumi said, furrowing his brows.
"Oh, she's gonna murder you for taking that from her." Keisuke snickered, "Rest in peace, sensei. It was nice knowing you. Fly high."
"Oi, oi, you guys are being too dramatic! Maki-chan gave it to me after I asked her!" Gojo defended himself, offended.
"That's funny, I'm pretty sure Maki-senpai has been on a mission for the past two days." Megumi said, smirking a bit.
"And don't call her Maki-chan. I did once, and she nearly murdered me." Keisuke said, shivering dramatically. That girl scared the living shit out of him.
"If you two are done." Nobara interrupted, her tone sarcastic, "Let's go, potato-head." She said, pulling Yuji's arm.
Yuji protested, but eventually let himself be dragged away by Nobara as the three males watched idly from outside. Keisuke turned to Gojo, "So, sensei, what's the point of this field test? I mean, Yuji can't use jujutsu and that cursed tool doesn't necessarily help him learn any techniques." He said casually.
"You're right, Keisuke-kun, care to guess what this test is all about?" He asked, smiling.
Megumi was the one who answered, "It's to test Kugisaki, isn't it?"
"Bingo! We have a winner!" Gojo clapped, "Kugisaki is actually field tested already, but that was in the countryside, where the population is low, and the curses are weak and stupid. The larger the population, the more negative emotions there are for curses to feed on and grow powerful."
There was silence for a minute before Keisuke spoke, "But from her file, Kugisaki is at least Grade 3. The curses in this building are only grade 4, at best. Shouldn't we find a stronger curse for her to test against?"
"True, but the Grade 3 placement is still undecided. That is because of her inexperience in dealing with curses here in the city." Gojo explained, "The curses here in the city are much stronger, yes, but they are also much smarter. Curses with intelligence are a rarity in the countryside, at most, they know how to dodge attacks. Here, they are willing to use underhanded tricks. Even a Grade 4 curse is capable of using underhanded tactics and potentially kill a Grade 2 sorcerer because they were too arrogant in their own power."
"Too arrogant?" Keisuke parroted, "Sounds familiar."
"Now, now, you wound me. I have a good reason to be confident." Gojo said, and grinned when they didn't respond, and scowled instead, "Anyway, there is a certain level of craziness that is needed for this line of work. Yuji is capable of exorcising curses, and he isn't someone to hold back against them, but when it comes to curse users… well, he's going to be very hesitant."
"He is very naive." Keisuke mumbled.
"Yep. And Nobara, well, we're here to see if she's got the craziness required for this job." Gojo finished.
They stayed in silence for a few minutes, hearing some noises from inside, but thankfully nothing major. Keisuke eventually got bored and began playing around with his chain spear, waving it about, trying to wrap it around Gojo, who used his Infinity without even glancing at Keisuke.
His phone beeped, and he pulled it out and scrolled through it.
Inumaki-senpai: yo came back from mission where u at?
Keisuke: im on a mission :/
Testing out the new first years
Sukuna's vessel and some ginger girl
Inumaki-senpai: lol ginger girl?
Keisuke: ya her hair is dyed i think
Inumaki-senpai: k
This is maki, did you take my slaughter demon?
Keisuke: nope it was satoru sensei
Inumaki-senpai: that blindfolded ass
Keisuke: he told me he took ur permission
Inumaki-senpai: as if
An explosion caught his attention, and he looked up. There was a curse, somewhere between Grade 4 and Grade 3 in terms of power.
Keisuke extended his chain, "I got this." As he began to spin his chain around, Gojo stopped him, "What? I—"
The curse was exorcised suddenly with a sudden explosion of purple. Looking through the hole in the building, they saw Nobara, Yuji, and another child, looking at her in surprise and awe.
"Yeah, she's crazy, alright!" Gojo laughed.
A few short minutes later, Nobara and Yuji made their way down with a child, explaining that the kid had been held hostage by the curse that Nobara exorcised with her technique, "Well, alright then! I'll take the kid home." Gojo said, placing the little tyke on his shoulders, giving him a pretty great view.
"So, Kugisaki-san, Yuji, how was your first curse experience here in Tokyo?" Keisuke asked conversationally.
Yuji shrugged with a grin, while Nobara sighed, "I was hoping we'd go explore more, but I guess it wasn't so bad." She said.
"I was surprised when the curse took the kid hostage, though." Yuji admitted.
"Gojo-sensei explained it to Keisuke and I, the curses in Tokyo or any other big cities like Kyoto or Yokohama are more intelligent than those on the countryside. It's because of the larger population and therefore more cursed energy around due to the accumulation of negative energy."
"Yeah, whatever. It just took me a bit off guard, that's all. Nothing I couldn't handle." Nobara said with a huff.
"Evidently." Keisuke pleasantly said.
Gojo returned quickly, "So, who's up for some dinner! It's on me, so go all out!" He said cheerfully.
"Steak!" Yuji exclaimed.
"Sushi!" Nobara yelled.
"Anything as long as it is edible." Keisuke mumbled with a glare at Gojo, who grinned and ruffled his hair.
"And you, Megumi?" Gojo asked the dark-haired boy, who was scrolling through his phone, "Eh?" He peered over the boy's shoulder to look at his phone.
"Aw, is Gumi-chan pouting because he didn't get to fight?" Keisuke cooed mockingly as the boy gave him a poisonous glare.
"Hah, what a child." Nobara taunted, "Well, since it's a stalemate, you decide what we get, Asagi." She said.
"Me? Nah, just decide among yourselves. Fight, kill, slaughter!" Keisuke said dramatically, as they all deadpanned at him, "Just play Rock-Paper-Scissors, you idiots." He said, rolling his eyes at them.
In the end, sushi was decided, as Nobara tricked Yuji with an embarrassing amount of ease. Keisuke stared at the empty plate, playing with his spoon as his mind wandered.
Soon though, his mind wandered to the conversation he had with Sukuna earlier.
Why are you so weak, Zenkatsujin?
Why haven't you unlocked more of his powers?
Are you afraid?
Keisuke scoffed to himself lightly. If I'm gonna access more of his powers, I'll do it in my own time. Definitely not because some crusty old demon asked me to.

Fun fact, I write this in Google Docs, and it looks much cooler and attractive than this lmao.
By the way, there is this exact story on Wattpad, and it is also mine. I'm not stealing anything. I've just made it an OC story instead of a Reader story.
