Bronk: Kite's really been pulling his punches.
Flip: His dueling seems sloppy. You'd think there was something wrong with him.
Tori: I hope he gets his head in the game fast.
Vetrix: I know my link to Hart is hard to believe, but it's all true. Any pain I feel is also felt by Hart. Pretty neat, huh?
Kite: You think this is funny you twisted monster? Let my brother go!
Faker: Vetrix! I swear I will make you pay for this!
Vetrix: I believe it's your turn. You could attack us with your Galaxy-Eyes, that is, if you don't care about me.
Kite: How do I play this? If I attack I could seriously injure Hart, but if I don't, I could lose the duel, and my victory could mean freeing Hart of Vetrix once and for all. I have to decide if helping Hart is worth hurting him. I draw! Hang in there little brother. Galaxy-Eyes, attack Genom-Heritage with Photon Stream of Destruction!
Galaxy-Eyes unleashed his attack and sent Vetrix rolling on the ground.
Vetrix: 2600 LP
Vetrix: How could you Kite?
Kite: Hart, please forgive me.
Vetrix: What's wrong with you? You blasted your own little brother? You hurt me just to win this duel. I had you all wrong. I thought you loved me.
Kite: I end my turn.
Meanwhile, Yuma and Orbital were still flying to Heartland Tower.
Yuma: Can't you go any faster Orbital? At this rate I'd get there faster if I walked.
Orbital: You wanna see fast? I'll show you fast. Hang on wise guy, we're going in!
Orbital poured on the speed and they quickly approached Heartland Tower, but as they did, panels on the outside slid back to reveal several laser cannons that began firing on Yuma and Orbital.
Yuma: What are those?
Orbital: We've triggered the automatic defense system. Hang on!
Orbital began to weave about, dodging the laser fire.
Vetrix: My turn. I draw! You know Kite, I hope you and I dueling doesn't create any bad blood between us. I really want to strengthen our bonds, and my next move will do just that. I equip the spell Heraldry Curse onto Genom-Heritage! Now once per turn, we both take 300 points of damage for each monster on the field.
Chains shot up from the ground before wrapping around Genom-Heritage, Vetrix, and Kite.
Vetrix: There are two monsters on the field, so we'll both take 600 points of damage. Sure we'll both lose life points, but we'll do it together, like brothers.
An electric surge ran through the chain, shocking both Kite and Vetrix.
Vetrix: 2000 LP
Kite: 600 LP
The chain vanished and Vetrix dropped to the ground, lying motionless and unbreathing.
Kite: This can't be. Hart! Hart, speak to me!
At Heartland Tower, Orbital weaved through the laser blasts and he and Yuma crashed through a window into Hart's room.
Yuma: Hart!
He ran up to his bed and shook him slightly.
Yuma: Come on, give me a sign.
Hart coughed for a moment before breathing normally.
Yuma: He's okay. Orbital, bring up Kite!
Orbital brought up a video screen, Kite being on the other side of the connection.
Kite: Tell me Yuma, is he alright?
Yuma: I think so. He's still unconscious, but he looks okay.
Across the field, Vetrix got to his feet and turned to face Kite.
Vetrix: Yes, Hart is fine, but for how much longer is the question, and I imagine you're asking yourself that very same question, aren't you Dr. Faker? Yes, I think you are.
Yuma: Vetrix! You leave Hart out of this duel! Hart, I wish you could hear me so I could tell you how much you mean to your brother, and how badly he wants to be with you again.
Hart's body glowed and Yuma and Astral were transported into his mind again.
Yuma: Astral, are we?
Astral: Inside Hart's mind? Yes, I believe so.
Yuma: But if we're inside his mind, where is he?
Suddenly, streams of purple energy shot up from behind the house they saw the last time they were there before heading in their direction, forcing Yuma to dive to the side to avoid them. He turned to the side and saw a familiar shape floating in the air.
Yuma: Vetrix? Why is he here?
Vetrix: A better question is why are you here Yuma?
Yuma: I'm here to separate you from Hart.
Vetrix: If you think I'm just going to leave without a fight, you have another thing coming!
His body began to distort until he changed into a long black dragon.
Astral: Yuma-
Yuma: I got this Astral.
He reached into his deck case before pulling out a particular card.
Yuma: Come forth, Number 39: Utopia!
Utopia appeared in a flash of light before grabbing his sword and cutting Vetrix in two.
Yuma: Way to go-
His victory was short lived as Vetrix's body pulled itself back together.
Vetrix: You are finished Yuma!
Vetrix reared his head back and unleashed a wave of blue flames on Utopia, the fire also hitting Yuma and Astral.
Yuma: If that's all you've got, then your days inside of Hart are numbered Vetrix. Utopia, cut through the darkness with Rising Sun Slash!
Utopia raised his sword and cut Vetrix right down the middle, destroying him.
Astral: Vetrix has been defeated.
A bright light flashed and Yuma and Astral were flung from Hart's mind, Yuma landing on the floor on his back.
Orbital: Yuma!
At the duel field, Vetrix was suddenly knocked backwards and the hologram covering his face began to disappear.
Vetrix: Yuma Tsukumo, this is not over! You will regret meddling in my affairs!
Kite: What's going on?
Yuma: Kite, Vetrix's link to Hart is gone, so now you can go all out. Give him everything you've got!
Kite: I plan on it. I'm going to return the same pain you've inflicted on me and Hart tenfold. You hear that Vetrix? You're going to pay!
A red aura flared to life around Kite while Vetrix scrambled for his mask, putting it back on right before the hologram faded away.
Orbital: We're all rooting for you Master Kite!
Yuma: Show Vetrix what dueling is all about.
Kite: I draw! I activate the spell Galaxy Expedition! Since Galaxy-Eyes is on my field, I can summon Galaxy Knight from my deck!

Kite: And since he's on my field, I can special summon the other Galaxy Knight I have in my hand. Now I overlay my level 8 Galaxy-Eyes along with my two Galaxy Knights! With these three monsters, I build the overlay network! Radiant galaxy, here and now become the striking light, and show yourself! Descend, My very soul! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!

Neo Galaxy-Eyes let out a tremendous roar, sending shockwaves through the air, causing Genom-Heritage's mask to crack.
Kite: Since it lost its special ability, Genom Heritage can be destroyed by monsters that aren't numbers. Go Neo Galaxy-Eyes! Eliminate Genom-Heritage and Vetrix with Ultimate Photon Stream!
Neo Galaxy-Eyes unleashed streams of energy from its three mouths that joined into one massive blast, striking Genom-Heritage and causing a huge explosion.
Orbital: Master Kite did it!
Faker: That's my boy. Magnificent.
Vetrix: Ahahahahaha!
Kite: No way.
Tori: This can't be.
Vetrix: Sorry Kite, but I activated the trap Protection Medallion on your Galaxy-Eyes, which prevents him from being destroyed in battle, but lowers his attack power by 800 points.
Galaxy-Eyes: 4500-3700 ATK
Vetrix: 700 LP
Kite: I end my turn.
Vetrix: Such anger. Keep it coming.
Kite: What?
Vetrix: Your rage is so abundant, I should thank you. Now I can finally unleash my most powerful monster!
Vetrix's crest appeared on his mask and a giant version of his crest appeared on the floor of the field.
Kite: Say what?
Vetrix: I draw! And I summon Heraldic Beast Berner's Falcon in attack mode!

Kite: What's with that number?
Vetrix: Heraldry Crest is very difficult to control. To do so requires enormous amounts of anger.
Kite: Anger?
Vetrix: That's right. I am unable to feel emotions any longer, and as such, I am unable to produce the anger needed to control Heraldry Crest, which is why I used others to generate anger for me. Trey, Quattro, Quinton, Shark, and especially Troy. His rage alone was almost enough to wield this monster.
Kite: You're mad.
Vetrix: No Kite, I'd say you are. It was your rage for what I did to Hart that finally gave me all the anger I needed to unleash this monster, and before long, you'll be wishing you never laid eyes on him.
Kite: And why is that?
Vetrix: Because while Heraldry Crest is on the field, he negates the effects of all other monsters on the field and gains their effects for himself!
Kite: Say what?
Vetrix: Heraldry Crest, snatch Galaxy-Eyes' effect with Whipping Lash!
A hand made of energy came from Heraldry Crest before latching onto Galaxy-Eyes, draining its power, causing Kite to yell out in pain as his aura faded away.
Kite: How could he have that kind of power?
Vetrix: I activate the effect that Heraldry Crest stole from your monster! By using one overlay unit, all of your monster's overlay units are sent to the graveyard, and then for each one sent, Heraldry Crest gains 500 attack points and can attack once for each of them!
Neo: OLU 3-0
Crest: 2600-4100 ATK
Vetrix: Now Heraldry Crest, attack Neo Galaxy-Eyes with Dark Matter Demolition!
Heraldry Crest launched a bolt of purple lightning into a vortex in the air above it before a beam of black energy came out and struck Neo Galaxy-Eyes, sending Kite flying.
Kite: 200 LP
Vetrix: Of course since Galaxy-Eyes is equipped with Heraldry Protection, it can't be destroyed in battle, but you still take the damage. Now Heraldry Crest, attack Neo Galaxy-Eyes again!
Heraldry Crest unleashed another attack, sending Kite rolling on the ground and almost knocking him off the platform.
Kite: 0 LP
Winner: Vetrix
Yuma: Kite!
Kite: Hart…
Vetrix: And now for number three! Heraldry Crest, deliver the final attack!
His monster unleashed a final attack, but before it reached Kite, a blue energy sphere enveloped him, blocking the attack.
Vetrix: What is happening?
Hart: I will not allow you to hurt my brother anymore.
Kite: Thank you Hart.
Hart: No, thank you brother.
The energy sphere vanished and Kite was lowered back to the ground.
Vetrix: How touching. Hart showed up just in time to soften his brother's final blow. I'd be moved to tears if I were capable of it, but I'm not.
He extended his hand towards Kite, his crest being projected towards him and taking all of Kite's numbers.
Vetrix: This duel is mine, as are your soul and number cards.
A portal opened behind him and he stepped through it, laughing as he left. Yuma and Orbital then arrived and Yuma ran over to Kite.
Yuma: Kite, speak to me. Come on, you have to wake up.
But no matter what he did, Kite remained motionless.
Yuma: Kite, no!
