Before the chapter starts, I need to say something. I've been getting a lot of comments asking for plot details. I am not going to give out information about my works prior to uploading them, so please stop asking, and please stop leaving predictions that could lead to potential spoilers and ruin the story for others. Also, sorry uploading this so late in the evening a day late, but I had to work all day yesterday, and I wasn't thinking about it until late today. Hope you all enjoy.
Tori: Go get him Yuma!
Troy: For everyone's sake, you have to stop Faker!
Faker: I'm truly looking forward to battling against you Yuma. I only hope you're prepared to be completely pulverized!
Yuma: That's not gonna happen. I'll best you card for card!
Kite: And Yuma will be even stronger because I'm dueling with him!
Shark: There's no way I'm missing this fight. You're facing three of us.
All: We're all ready!
Faker: So am I. And I have more power than you can possibly imagine.
Streams of red energy came off of the Sphere Field and struck Dr. Faker, energizing him. His body became covered in machinery and a duel disk appeared in front of him.
Faker: Now an army of duelists couldn't defeat me!
Yuma: That's what you think.
He and the others engaged their duel disks and prepared to face Dr. Faker.
Faker: Since this is a three on one duel, each of you will share 4000 life points, and as your lone opponent, I will have triple that amount for a total of 12000 life points. I'll take the first move. I draw! And first, I activate the effect of Garbage Ogre from my hand. By sending this card from my hand to the graveyard, I can add Garbage Lord from my deck to my hand.
Troy: That monster is dangerous.
Faker: Indeed it is. By giving up 1000 life points, I can special summon Garbage Lord directly from my hand. But why stop at one when I can summon three?
Faker: 9000 LP
Garbage Lord
Level 5/Dark/Fiend
ATK 0/DEF 2400
Yuma: He summoned three monsters right off the bat?!
Kite: That can only mean one thing.
Faker: I overlay my three level five Garbage Lords. With these three monsters, I build the overlay network! From all the Numbers this stands on top of, one of the strongest Numbers! Equipped with superior armor that will shock the world! Appear, Number 53: Heart-eartH!
Rank 5/Dark/Fiend
ATK & DEF 100
Shark: It only has 100 attack points?
Kite: There must be more to it.
Faker: As it happens, Heart-eartH is immune to all your card effects. I place two cards face-down and end my turn.
Yuma: Alright, then I'm taking you on first.
Shark: Be careful Yuma. There's something fishy about that monster.
Yuma: Look, that monster is a total weakling. It'll be a cinch to beat.
Faker: So, you think my Number is a pushover, Yuma Tsukumo? Then you'll be the first duelist that feels Heart-eartH's wrath!
Yuma: We'll see about that. I draw! And I summon Goblindbergh in attack mode!
Level 4/Earth/Warrior
ATK 1400/DEF 0
Yuma: And when this monster is successfully normal summoned, I can bring out another level 4 or below monster from my hand to join him, so come on out Gagaga Magician!
Level 4/Dark/Spellcaster
ATK 1500/DEF 1000
Yuma: And now I overlay Gagaga Magician and Goblindbergh to build the overlay network! I xyz summon Number 39: Utopia!
Rank 4/Light/Warrior
ATK 2500/DEF 2000
Faker: I was hoping you'd summon Utopia. I activate the Battle Route continuous trap! Since I have a monster on my field, all your monsters in attack mode must declare attacks, which means Utopia must attack Heart-eartH!
Shark: Better keep your guard up.
Yuma: But his monster is totally weak.
Shark: That's exactly what should make you suspicious Yuma.
Kite: Why would Dr. Faker force you into a battle that he's sure he's going to lose?
Yuma: That's right. Since he's picking the fight, he must have a trick or two up his sleeve.
Kite: Exactly. We have to be careful.
Yuma: That just isn't my style. Utopia, attack Heart-eartH with Rising Sun Slash!
Faker: Big mistake! I activate Heart-earth's special ability! When this monster is attacked, it equips itself with a monster from my graveyard, such as my Garbage Ogre, and then Heart-eartH gains attack points equal to the current attack points of your attacking monster!
Yuma: What?
Heart-eartH: 100-2600 ATK
Kite: Now it makes sense.
Shark: Heart-eartH starts out weak, but because of its special ability, it'll always have more attack points than its enemy.
Faker: Heart-eartH is now stronger than Utopia, which means your monster's a goner.
Yuma: I activate Utopia's special ability! By using one overlay unit, the attack is canceled!
Shark: Keep it up!
Yuma: You got it. I play the spell Double or Nothing! Since Utopia's attack was negated, his attack points get doubled this turn and he can attack again!
Utopia: 2500-5000 ATK
Utopia drew its swords and cut off Heart-eartH's arms.
Faker: 6600 LP
Yuma: How'd you like that?
Faker: As expected. I activate Heart-eartH's other ability. By sending the monster he's equipped with to the graveyard, Heart-eartH can avoid destruction in battle, although his attack points return to normal.
Heart-eartH: 2600-100 ATK
Faker: And that's not all. Now you take damage equal to half the change in Heart-eartH's attack power!
Heart-eartH's arms regenerated and he launched a ball of energy at Yuma, sending him flying back.
Tori: Yuma!
YSK: 2750 LP
Faker: And now I activate another one of Heart-eartH's abilities. By using an overlay unit, I gain life points equal to the damage you just received.
Faker: 7850 LP
Faker: No matter how hard you try, there's nothing you can do to stop me!
Yuma: I place one card face-down and end my turn.
Shark: Not exactly an impressive performance Yuma, but not that bad either. I can handle him from here.
Yuma: Good luck.
Shark: I draw!
Suddenly Shark felt a sharp pain in his side.
Shark: I guess that litterbot got me worse than I thought.
Yuma: Shark, are you alright?
Shark: I'm fine. I summon Hammer Shark in attack mode!
Level 4/Water/Fish
ATK 1700/DEF 1500
Shark: In this duel, I can borrow the power of my teammates, so I send Utopia's overlay unit to the graveyard!
Yuma: What?! But I may need that overlay unit later!
Shark: Quit complaining. By sending Utopia's overlay unit to the graveyard, I can special summon Xyz Remora from my hand!
Level 4/Water/Fish
ATK & DEF 800
Troy: Since Xyz Remora was summoned using its effect, if Shark uses it to summon a water attribute xyz monster, he'll need one less monster for each xyz material Utopia lost.
Shark: That's right! I overlay Xyz Remora and Hammer Shark to build the overlay network and xyz summon Number 32: Shark Drake!
Rank 4/Water/Sea Serpent
ATK 2800/DEF 2100
Shark: Yuma, your dueling gave me an idea how to beat him.
Yuma: What do you mean?
Shark: Just watch. I equip Utopia with the Shield Fin spell card! Now Utopia, attack Heart-eartH!
Faker: Your pathetic strategy won't work. I activate Heart-eartH's special ability! Since you attacked it, I can equip Garbage Ogre from my graveyard to Heart-eartH in order to raise his attack points by Utopia's attack points!
Shark: Go right ahead.
Faker: What?
Shark: I activate the effect of Shield Fin! When an effect is activated during the battle phase, I can use Shield Fin's effect to reduce the attack power of the equipped monster to 0 and prevent it from being destroyed in battle this turn!
Utopia: 2500-0 ATK
Yuma: Why would you do that?
Kite: I get it. By doing that, since Utopia doesn't have any attack points, Heart-eartH doesn't gain any attack points either.
YSK: 2650 LP
Shark: And since Heart-eartH can only use that ability once per turn, he's sharkbait. Shark Drake, attack with Deepsea Destruction!
Shark Drake let out a roar before it fired an energy blast from its mouth that crashed straight into Heart-eartH.
Faker: 5150 LP
Faker: Not a bad strategy, but it still falls short of my genius! By sending Garbage Ogre to the graveyard, Heart-eartH won't be destroyed by this battle. And it doesn't end there, because I'm activating another one of Heart-eartH's special abilities! When I take battle damage, I can use one overlay unit to inflict damage to you equal to half the amount of damage I received!
Shark: What?
Heart-eartH unleashed an energy blast on Shark that knocked him back.
Yuma: Shark!
Shark: I'm alright.
YSK: 1300 LP
Shark: No matter what we try, it's like he's already a step ahead. I place one card face-down and end my turn.
Utopia: 0-2500 ATK
Kite: Alright Faker, it's on! I'll win this duel and save Hart!
Faker: The fact is, you won't save anyone. When this is over, you'll have lost everything!
Kite: I place one card face-down and summon Photon Crusher in attack mode!
Level 4/Light/Warrior
ATK 2000/DEF 0
Kite: And next, since there's an xyz monster on our field, I can special summon Photon Slasher in defense mode!
Level 5/Light/Warrior
ATK 2100/DEF 1000
Kite: And now I sacrifice both Photon monsters! The galaxy that lurks in the darkness. Become the light of hope and my very servant. The embodiment of light, now descend! Appear now, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!
Level 8/Light/Dragon
ATK 3000/DEF 2500
Tori: They've gathered all their aces!
Troy: Let Faker have it!
Kite: I plan on it.
Suddenly he felt a pulse run through his body and he dropped to one knee.
Orbital: M-Master Kite!
Yuma: Kite, what's wrong?
Faker: Your work as a number hunter has drained nearly all of your energy. Very soon you'll have no strength left at all!
Yuma: Leave Kite alone! You're the one responsible for what's happening to him! What kind of sick person are you to treat your own son this way?
Kite: This has gone far enough. You're so hungry for power that you'll manipulate anyone to further your insane plans. I won't let you cause any more harm!
Faker: And how do you plan on stopping me?
Kite: And that's the big question. If I use Shield Fin's effect I can damage him, but then he can use Heart-eartH's effect to bounce that damage right back to me. Maybe there is no way to stop him.
He looked at his hand to see if he had anything that would help him when he realized what he was holding.
Kite: Yuma, I need to borrow Utopia.
Yuma: You got it.
Kite: Utopia, attack Heart-eartH!
Faker: I activate Heart-eartH's special ability! By equipping Garbage Ogre to itself, it gains Utopia's attack points!
Kite: Not before I use Shield Fin's effect to reduce Utopia's attack points to 0, which means Heart-eartH gains 0 attack points!
Utopia: 2500-0 ATK
YSK: 1200 LP
Kite: Now Shark Drake, attack Heart-eartH!
Faker: Another futile attack.
Shark Drake unleashed its attack, snapping Heart-eartH in two.
Faker: 2450 LP
Faker: I activate Heart-eartH's special ability! By sending Garbage Ogre to the graveyard, Heart-eartH won't be destroyed by this battle! And then, by using an overlay unit, you three take damage equal to half the damage I just took!
Yuma: We only have 1200 life points left!
Astral: Yuma…
Faker: Bow down to my superior power!
Kite: I don't bow to anybody! I activate the spell Photon Prevent! Since I have a Photon monster on my field, the damage from your effect becomes 0!
Faker: What?!
An energy barrier appeared in front of Kite, blocking Heart-eartH's blast.
Shark: And since Heart-eartH can't equip Garbage Ogre again this turn, once Galaxy-Eyes attacks, we win!
Kite: It's fitting our duel should end this way Faker. I always obeyed your orders without question, and thanks to you, I became a Number Hunter who preyed on innocent duelists, because I believed that if I did, you could save Hart. But now, I know it was all a lie. I owe it to Hart and all the duelists I harmed to make sure you finally pay for all the pain you've caused. Now Galaxy-Eyes! End this duel with Photon Stream of Destruction!
Galaxy-Eyes charged energy in its mouth before firing it as a beam that ripped straight through Heart-eartH, creating an explosion and a massive cloud of dust.
Troy: Did they do it?
Tori: I'm not sure.
Yuma: I can't believe it! Faker got beat big time!
Kite: What?!
Shark: It can't be!
Yuma: What are you- say what?!
He looked across the room and saw Faker standing unharmed, and not only that, there was a new monster on his field in place of Heart-eartH.
Yuma: But how can this be?
Faker: Gentlemen, allow me to introduce, Heart-eartH Dragon!
To be continued…
