My anger felt like a bomb, ready to blow at any second. It was boiling like water, festering like a pimple. So intense I wanted to vomit, so extreme I almost cried. All I wanted to do was to kill that green-haired brat. Or the bug brat. Or the boom boom brat. I also wanted to kill Tattletale, for ruining my plans, now I had to take orders from Coil? That was unacceptable.
Where was I? At my base. The bar. Just sitting down and having a drink. It didn't make it better. Drinking always made me want to throw up even more. What was the point of trying to get drunk if it doesn't help when it really counts?
This was an awful mission altogether. First, they failed to kill All Might, and then they failed to get the supplies. So I got Izuku Midoriya to assist them, only for them to work against me and to fail against brats! Not only that, All Might was back to his peak strength! And took out my Nomu! This couldn't have gone worse! Literally, everyone was against me, even Master!
Only Kurogiri was by my side…
I had one thing go right. One thing that went correctly…
And apparently, it wouldn't even fucking work.
I stared at the TV. "Are you sure?"
"We already tried to copy One for All. It didn't work. We tried with the last one I killed." Sensei said.
"Try…try again! Do something, anything!"
"It'd be pointless," Sensei said. "We already have a plan for One for All, anyway."
"You expect me to believe that? You didn't even know what Levithan main goal was!"
Sensei sighed. "Shigaraki, I knew all along."
"What?"
"I wanted to see if you came to the same conclusion that I did. I wanted to see if our hard work teaching you paid off. Why do you think I wasn't shocked?"
I…didn't think about that…I was too proud to question it.
"So, what am I supposed to do?"
"I don't know," Sensei was admitting to not knowing something? That was rare. "What do you think you should do?"
What should we do? What should I do? I couldn't get All Might's power. But I knew Izuku Midoriya had All Might's power. Should we go after him? Try to kill him? Should we try to kill All Might again? Use the Hero Killer Stain? There were so many options.
But I know what I want right now…What I want to do…
I want to get answers.
"What is Cauldron?"
"A conspiracy," Sensei said. "A group dedicated to beating one of the top heroes. I work closely with them. I give them the right powers. They give me vials and cash."
"Vials of what?"
"Vials of power."
"What?"
"Vials that give you a superpower. A shard."
What? What the hell was a shard? Did it have something to do with a cerebrum parahuman? Why didn't Master tell me this before?
"Does that mean…We can buy powers?" I asked.
"We don't have to. They give it to us in exchange for my assistance. Of course, now I'll have to give Coil a vial for a question. Of course, I could always give him one of the powers I stole. I'll talk to him about it later."
I thought about this. "So, does this mean other heroes are trying to kill All Might? Or is it Superman?"
"Neither, it's Scion."
My eyes widened. "Of course…He was always the strangest of the heroes. So he's not what he seems…And Cauldron is trying to stop him."
"They're actually a sub-group," Sensei explained. "They're part of a much larger group dedicated to protecting the planet from any threats. Remember The Hulk's rampage against the heroes of New York a few months back?"
"Who wouldn't? Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, and others posed a supervillain group called the Illuminate in order to send The Hulk into space, and hide their-" I stopped myself. "Wait…are you saying…"
"Yes," Sensei answered. "The Illuminati were not a group they made up to send The Hulk into space as they claimed. It was a group they made up in order to save the world. By any means. Whether from aliens or gods. And that's not even all of it."
Was this true? It had to be true! Sensei wouldn't lie about something as serious as this! Everything he does is for me to succeed! This means…
The implications were serious. Boundless. The top heroes were a part of a conspiracy? What if Superman was a part of it? What about Batman? Wonder Woman?
All Might?...
I could win right now, I could succeed this instant. We have connections to them, all we have to do is-
"What are you thinking, Tomura?
I grinned. "Don't you think we should tell the people about this?"
"Ahh, you wish to destroy the heroes by taking them down from within."
I nodded.
"A thought-out plan, one that could easily work. However," He said. "You must not underestimate the usefulness of others."
Usefulness of others? I understood that, but we were enemies of heroes. Not allies.
Plus, what was the point of working with people if they didn't do anything and everything you say?
Sensei continued. "We could destroy the heroes we work with. But they're content to help us, which means we should be content to do the same. You'll learn this lesson soon enough."
I sighed. "Any other secrets you're hiding from me? I would like to know."
Sensei paused. We'll there is another conspiracy that works closely with the super conspiracies. One that is meant to contain anything not explained by science."
"A lot of things supposedly can't be explained by science. We have goblins, ghouls, magic-"
"Noticed how you say supposedly." Sensei argued. "But things like goblins, ghouls, can be explained by science. Such as biology, evolution, and physics. And things that can't, they cover up. Noticed how so many scientists will say that a supervillain did not die completely when they came back to life. It was just body death. The gods aren't gods; they're sufficiently advanced aliens. And magic isn't magic; it's just another type of energy. Even though it was created by the gods."
That's true. There were a lot of things that scientists tried desperately to explain.
"Are you saying…they can't explain everything with science?"
"I know this for a fact," Sensei said. "People don't want to believe their world isn't normal. Even superpowers are explained by power siphoning from alternative dimensions."
"And this other group," I began. "They contain anything not explained by science."
"Yes," Sensei said. "They're called the SCP Foundation."
SCP Foundation? Those horror stories? They weren't real! Were they?
"You mentioned the gods created magic. How do you know this?"
Sensei paused. "I suppose I should lay down all my cards on the table." He paused again. "Let me tell you about Salem."
Later
I sat at the bar. Silently thinking to myself. Processing all the information Sensei told me.
Cauldron, The Illuminati, The SCP Foundation…
Salem.
So many things. So many options. I had so many ideas running through my head. They were all thrown out as quickly as I came up with them.
Kurogiri came back about 30 minutes ago and stood there silently cleaning a glass, just letting me think to myself.
"I learned a lot from Master."
Kurogiri nodded. "I always wanted him to tell you."
I whipped my head around. "You knew?"
He nodded again. "He instructed me not to tell you."
I sighed. "I'm always the last to know. Hell, I didn't even know All Might's power. Whatever. The point is, I know what I want to do now."
"Oh?"
"Yes, I want to find out more about these groups. I want to use them to my advantage. But I can't do it with three of them."
"What does this mean?"
I took a sip out of my drink. "It means we need to learn more about Salem. She's the ones we could use the most, and eventually, we could use her to take control of the other groups, make them work for us."
"Can't we just work with them?" Kurogiri said.
"Think about it," I said. "Don't you think that it'll be easier to work with them, if they worked for us? Master will certainly be pleased if we managed that."
"And how will you get connected to Salem?" Kurogiri asked. "Will you use All for One?"
"No, he doesn't want me to speak to her for some reason." I answered. "So I have another idea."
"Which is?"
"Salem wants to end the world. To do thatm she must have connections. She's on the unnamed dragon continent. In the Grimm area."
"In the Grimm area?"
"In the section of continents with Grimm."
"Yes, I'm aware," Kurogiri said.
I looked down at my drink. "She must have a connection there. Most likely corporate and criminal connections. And I find myself more connected with criminal myself."
"So this means…" Kurogiri trailed off.
I looked at him. "We need to ask the rats. After we're done with the hero killer. We need to talk to Roman Torchwick."
Author Notes: Told you dear old Shiggy wasn't going to have Izuku in his chapter. Thanks for reading!
Next chapter will be Clockblocker's. And it'll be a little longer than the last one. Don't worry, these short ass chapters won't be too common anymore.
One more thing, I said Ultimate, my web novel would be out by now. And although I doubt you guys care about it. I'm going to apologize for it not being out by now. It'll be out after this story this finished. I mean right after. So get hyped for that!
That's all I had to say. This is Super Ultimate Number One, sighing out. Peace!
