Chapter 5: Preparation.

It was a few days after Macao rescue and the guild was as lively as ever. Now that Lucy has joined she's already been part of two jobs, one unofficial. However, what she didn't expect was some members of Eisenwald attempt to kidnap Happy as they were returning from the Everlue mission. Natsu was not going to let this slide and along with Gray, who was on his way back from another job, the three mages were able to rescue Happy. But as they were going to interrogate the kidnappers, they were taken away by their shadows, leaving no trail or scent to follow. So they returned to the guild.

They arrived to find Percy at the bar while Mira was organizing job requests, Nab still at the board not knowing which job to take, Cana still drinking from barrels, while the other members were just chatting. "Welcome back you guys how were the jobs?" Percy asks as he waves the four over. Happy flies to Percy and cries as he was almost eaten while grabbing him. "Easy Happy what happened?" "Members of a dark guild tried to kidnap him" Gray responds

Percy's eyes darken at the thought of a guildmate being harmed. "Where are they?" he asks with an angry tone in his voice, scaring Lucy as she always saw him happy and caring, never did Percy get angry like that. Natsu punches his fists together "They were taken away no trace but if they try that again they will regret it." Percy nods and takes Happy away to calm him down. Lucy asks Mira "What was that all about?" Mira sadly reflects on how they found Percy as she answers, "Percy didn't have a good childhood. When we found him he was hurt pretty badly for a long time. We know already that he's been abused by someone, but Percy never told us anything." Natsu and Gray look down as they remember how they first met Percy, Natsu smelling the blood off of him while Gray remembering the horrified look on Percy's face when he woke up.

Lucy stops as she sees the entire guild reliving a bad memory and begins to apologize before Natsu intervenes, "Lucy don't apologize you did nothing wrong. You asked us about what happened as you felt that a family member was hurt. We were just remembering Percy's first time in the guild." Lucy accepts it and changes the subject "So Mira where's the master?" Mira brightens as she explains "Master Makarov is having a meeting with other guild masters." Mira then asks Reedus for a light pen and he gives it willingly. Mira explains how each guild is connected to each other and the vital roles they play. As Mira talks about dark guilds, Lucy remembers the earlier incident. "Gray didn't you just call the people who tried to kidnap Happy members of a dark guild?" Gray nods, of course he had taken off his shirt as Lucy looks shocked. "Yeah what of it?" Natsu feels Lucy get uncomfortable and gets angry "Hey keep you clothes on ice stripper." "Maybe I don't want to you pink haired punk"

Lucy sighs as those two begin insulting each other. Loke sees her and attempts to woo Lucy "Why don't you join a team of love with me Lucy. You and me later tonight?" Percy walks in with a calmer Happy, "Loke she's a celestial wizard are you sure you want her on your team?" Loke looks at Lucy and notices the keys tied to her waist. Shocked he "breaks up" with Lucy, who didn't even say a word until then, and runs outside. "Sorry Loke is quite the ladies man whatever that means but he's afraid of celestial wizards for whatever reason." Lucy smiles at Percy and gives him a high five, "Honestly I was going to turn him down anyway but thanks for helping." "Percy is always so helpful" Cana slurs as she walks towards the three of them. "You should try his massages Lucy he's got the magic touch" Percy blushes while Mira and Levy sigh in contempt. Lucy, stunned and confused, asks the boy "You give massages?" He rubs a hand against his head "Yes but only if you want to. I once did one to Mira who couldn't stop talking about it and ever since every female member has demanded one from me." Percy gives Mira a scowl who giggles in response. All of sudden Loke returned to the guild with a horrified look.

"YOU GUYS ERZA IS COMING!" Everyone, barring Lucy, Percy, and Mira, go pale as they rush to break up any fights. Natsu and Gray have their hands around each other's shoulders while Cana, in her drunken state, hurries to a table far from Percy. Lucy is stunned while Mira smiles and Percy laughs as Gray and Natsu. "Is Erza that great of a force?" "You'll see when she gets here." Percy responds to Lucy. Then the doors open revealing an armored Erza walking with a giant horn dazzles with jewels. "Aww for me Erza you shouldn't have." Percy jokes as Erza makes her way to him. The redheaded knight smiles as she drops her trophy, before widening her arms letting Percy run up to her and hug her tightly. "How was the job Erza?" Percy asks. Erza shrugs "It wasn't too difficult have you been exercising?" Percy nods affirmatively. A member of the guild asks Erza "Erza whats with the horn?" "Oh this the village decorated it after I killed the monster and left it for me as a gift why is there a problem?" Erza politely inquires scaring him off.

Lucy wonders why everyone is so afraid of Erza its clear Percy isn't. She's about to ask Mira when all of a sudden "Everyone Ive been hearing rumors about you guys causing all kinds of trouble. Even if master forgives you I won't. Cana drop the keg and drink like a normal person." Cana drops the keg completely "Vijateer take your dancing outside." Vij stops and does so immediately. "WAKABA STOP SMOKING IN FRONT OF PERCY YOU KNOW HE COULD GET SICK" Wakaba runs out of the guild scared shitless. "Nab stop staring at the board and take one already." Nab is startled and he quickly decides on a job. "Macao." Erza starts but then stops terrifying the mage in question. "Honestly you lot are so much trouble but I will go light on you this time."

Lucy understands why she's so scary. And it doesn't help when Percy grabs Erza and brings her to Lucy. "Erza this is Lucy she's our newest guild member. She's a celestial wizard too she beat down the Southern Raiders members and took on the Duke of Everlue one on one." He brags with a statement that is half true and half lie. Lucy can't believe Percy would stand up for her but also lie about it. "Indeed, well it is nice to have you as part of the guild Lucy" Erza brings out her hand which Lucy eagerly accepts. "Also Gray and Natsu have decided to be good friends as you see them dance together" Percy nods towards the two who are showing how much they enjoy each other's company by doing a little dance. Erza spots them and in all seriousness asks Natsu and Gray to come with her on a job the next day.

Shocked, Mira comments on how the three could be the strongest team in the guild. Lucy hears this and can't wait to join up with her.

The Next Day.

Erza is late as she packs her stuff. Once she is set she heads to the guild to say one last goodbye to Percy before heading to the station with Natsu, Lucy, and Gray. Percy is waiting for her outside the guild and smiles. "Good luck Erza when you come back we'll have our rematch." Erza smiles and nods "I accept your challenge Percy." She says as she hugs him before leaving, the image of Percy waving goodbye stuck in her mind.

After the Lullaby mission.

Master Makarov returns with the four Fairy Tail mages who are exhausted after spending so much magical energy. Percy runs up to the tired armored knight and celestial mage. "Erza Lucy are you two alright." "HEY WE'RE RIGHT HERE." Natsu and Gray shout together. "Yeah well you two keep on bickering for so long that no matter what I do, you guys fight anyway ruining all my work." Percy responds leaving Lucy confused. "No doubt you've seen Percy manipulate water, changing its forms. But he can also heal with water or at least he can heal minor wounds. It also helps with his massages he uses the water to target the most stressful points in the body." Erza explains before asking "Percy Lucy and I need your magical hands are you free right now?"

Percy nods and has the two female mages follow them to a lake before creating to water beds for Lucy and Erza. Once that is done he heads to the lake and dives, leaving them alone. "Wait why is he.." "Diving in the lake? Percy respects our privacy more than the other members and is shy when it comes to the women. So we try not to embarrass him. Now go ahead and get ready so that you can see for yourself how magic his hands are." Lucy complies as she and Erza both begin to strip their tops off before lying face down on the beds. Percy then comes up and splashes his hands before rubbing his hands all over Erza's back. Erza involuntarily moans as Percy targets knots in her back presses on them releasing so much tension. Once he finishes with one he traces her back looking for another and repeats the process until she is completely free. Erza is in blissful heaven once she feels Percy's hands go over the last knot in her spine. "Great job as always Percy now Lucy is new to this so ease her into it."

Percy nods and splashes his hands again before rubbing Lucy's shoulders and arms with a firm but gently touch. He repeats the process over and over giving Lucy an idea of what he can do "You can go ahead now Percy" Percy smiles as he does the same thing with Lucy, rubbing her entire back and shoulders, before targeting stress points in her back. Lucy can see why every female member of the guild love his hands as she moans with every stress point Percy hits. Once he is done, Lucy can barely move as bliss overcomes her. "Well Im going back in the lake so make sure to leave as quickly as possible ladies. After all there's a lot of pervs in this guild" Percy jokes as he dives back in the lake. Erza and Lucy get off the beds which then disperse before putting their clothes back on.

They make their way into the guild where Cana, Levy, and Mira look at them knowingly. "So how was Percy the masseuse?" Mira asks Lucy, who still in a world of bliss. Erza steps in "Ladies enough we all have been in her shoes when Percy first asked us if we needed to relieve tension. Now its been a long day and we need to rest for tomorrow.

Two Days Later

Percy has been sulking, first his fight with Erza had to be postponed due to the Council's attempts at establishing authourty by taking Erza away but when she came back Mystogan just had to show up and put everyone to sleep. He tried so hard not to and was able to stay awake long enough for him to get a look at his face but it wasn't enough.

The guild wake up as soon as he leaves. Lucy asked "What was that?" Mira responds "That was Mystogan, he's shy so he casts his sleep spell before he enters the guild. The only person that saw his true face is the Master.

"Not true." Says a cocky voice up on the second floor. Percy looks up and sees his big brother "Laxy how are you?" "Hey there kid hows the training going?" Laxus kindly responds. "Pretty good Im getting closer to her level". "He's defiantly a natural talent." Erza proudly brags about her only student. Natsu seeing Laxus can't hold himself back "Laxus fight me." "Maybe another time Natsu we got us quite the S-class mission and we have to prepare for it. Maybe when we come back." Laxus comments before heading back to his routine.

Lucy is in awe, "That's Laxus Dreyar? I thought everyone hated him due to his cockiness and arrogance." Mira can see Lucy was following the guild for some time as that was how he was a long time ago. "Once upon a time yes, but ever since Percy came he changed, sure he's still pretty arrogant but he truly cares for the guild and nowadays he tries to show it." "Wow Percy has had quite an impact hasn't he?" Lucy could hardly believe it but everyone in the guild has had nothing but positive things about Percy.

Natsu however was stuck on the S-Class mission statement. He knows he's not on Laxus's level just yet but Igneel is still in the back of his mind. He strove to be the strongest to find Igneel and he felt that he needed to do an S-Class mission soon.

Next Day.

Percy walks over to the job board feeling something's up. "Gramps, you remember the Galuna Island Request? Its been taken."

Makarov looks at the board and sure enough it has been. Erza was already out on a different quest so its not her, and Laxus and his team are still in the guild. "Why would someone take this?"

Laxus pounds his hands to the table, "Its my fault I shouldn't have mentioned I was doing an S-Class mission. Natsu probably took it just to prove he could so that he can find Igneel." Percy walks over to him and says "Its not your fault Laxus, Natsu always has been passionate about becoming stronger" "Well we can't just let him go, Gray go and find Natsu and whoever's with him and bring them back."

Gray nods and rushes off. "Gramps Erza is on her way back from her mission. If Gray doesn't bring him back by the time she comes back, she'll go after them herself." Percy states. "What's your point Percy?" Percy takes a deep breath and steels himself

"I wish to go with Erza on this mission."

Percy has laid down his request. Will Makarov accept? Also I know I had to condense the Eisenwald Lullaby arc and Im really sorry about that. But since Im focusing on Percy's interactions with the Guild there will be arcs that will have to be missed. I promise not to make a habit out of it though.

Next time: Percy convinces both Makarov and Erza to join and Percy discovers a new ability he never knew he had.
